This cache was on my must visit list for the road trip.
FORN agreed to meet me and together we went up the hill.
On the way a lovely cottage of the little people could be spotted. I would move in straight away, but I'm not that little, I'm happy to say.
At the location I got strongly reminded of a recent DNF in Wales, same age cache, similar stones.
But I was quite happy that this cache was found after just a short search.
Thanks for leading us here and keeping this old treasure alive.
I've left two TBs.
Regards from Kassel, Germany

This weekend I was in Dublin with [V-tjes](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?guid=66b6a53d-9788-45bd-af37-4b74b48d4bc7) and [BergMeertje](https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?guid=d9edd605-e4d3-40fe-b01a-7fc9326d5417&wid=cf80ec17-796b-44f6-a41d-6effa9c8766e&ds=2).
All the logbooks were signed with BBV as that was our teamname for this weekend.
Our main goal was [GC43 - Europe's First](https://coord.info/GC43).
We arrived at Friday at the airport, picked up our rental car and went to our hotel in Dublin City Centre. On Friday we did some geocaches in the City Centre, on Saturday we went to Bray and Dún Laoghaire. In the evening we went to an event in the Temple Bar district. On Sunday we went to Howth and afterwards back to the airport.
Day 2 of our weekend in Dublin. Today we went to Bray and Dún Laoghaire. After GC43 we went to this geocache. Mainly for the big amount of favorite points.
After a short hike, whe came at GZ. It was a nice view, so there comes the extra favorite point.
Kyleoconnell, thanks for this geocache.
Greetings from Nieuwkoop, the Netherlands.

#7974. A journey planned long time ago, although only recently booked, aiming to pay tribute to GC43 and a few more.
The 18 hour trip in Irish soil together with friend Gatarron, could have happened earlier but Europe's First disabled period and provisional replacement site had postponed the adventure.
It started not that early in Portugal where we caught a cheap flight that arrived the island at noon.
Then, we got the right wheel car and rush to this cache avoiding the promised rain and arriving below a precious sunshine.
The day continued in Bray and the night was dedicated to Dublin where we hosted an event .
While waiting for the returning flight we hang around Dublin under strong cold wind and occasional showers as Saturday became Sunday and finally headed for the airport.
. /.
As we arrived, we took the muddy path up here under strong wind but before going to the container we went up the hill with amazing views over the valley and the mountain where we would go after.
Thank you Kyle for keeping and maintaining this precious old cache

We've found **Kyle Cache 1** during our trip in Ireland. Arrived on December 27th and leave on January 7th.
Park the car and walked the last 0.6km to the cache. While it should be an easy find it took a while before we noticed the cache. Fantastic view. Favorite Point for showing it to us.

We're currently visiting as many EU countries as possible before out travelling rights are restricted... Today on our list is Ireland, we've visited before in pre caching days so this visit had a slightly different focus.
Old caches and MOM were our focus but also a few on the way to collect those.
Extremely windy today and I'm sure that should raise the terrain rating. Having said that it was in an obvious spot at gz and easily retrieved. Fantastic views from up here.
Thanks for hiding

We stay for two days in Bray and visited some caches around. The walk and the view was great, the wind heavy. THX!
Parked at the layby as recommended by the nearby challenge cache and made my way up the hill. Not too strenuous a walk but the wind was a bit chilly, especially nearer the top! A nice easy find when there, and this is the 4tholdest cache I've found and fills an empty month too. Thanks for the cache
Together with Xyq and Nightwingxx on a three days trip to Ireland - today is the last day. It was great to find such an old cache and we enjoyed the weather and the view very much. Thanks!
The last day of a short but nice trip to Dublin and Bray with klokkenmaba and Xyq. This one was quite amazing. A real "oldie" and a magnificent view. Thanks for leading us here.

Today, I was at GC43 with Niveafäustchen. Of course, we found some other caches in the region around Bray, too.
The Box was open and full of water. Someone should check it...we found the Logbook and signed.

Found this cache together with Mielec during our 4-day vacation in Dublin.
Together with "Europe's first" at Bray Head, this was one of the main reasons we came to Ireland in the first place.
I love ancient caches, but were "Europe's first" is quite a bit overrun by people - and a asphalt road all the way, this cache seemed more like the real thing - a glimpse of the past, were every cache was placed on purpose, and not just because there was room for another micro.
The weather was absolutely wonderful as we struggled our way up the hills from the busstop at the highway, and the 360 degree view at the top was worth every sore foot and muscle
The cache itself was found after a short search in the area.
Huge favorite point added.

Found together with Hebber on our first trip to Dublin and Bray. It was a good a a little hard way up to the cache in the nice weather. Great spot and great cache. Thanks for a wonderful experience and a nice cache.
Following the tourist information in the Earthcache John Gray, marble connoisseur we walked today up to the Kyle Cache. It was raining and a fierce wind blowing. But nothing you detain us. Thank heaven it was an easy find. TFTC and best greetings from Switzerland.

This weekend Damhertje and I planned a geocaching weekend in Dublin, Bray and the Wiclow mountains. Main goal was having fun, next to Europes first, the virtuals and some to fill empty spaces in my matrixes.
We have seen very nice places, some caches were easy, some not.
Anyway, we had a great time!
Kyleoconnell, thank you for showing this place

Easy walk, just 10-15 minutes, and the cache was spot-on. No pen or pencil with us or in the box, so we attach a photolog. No TB in. Our first cache in Eire, and maybe the oldest! TFTC!
On tour with Ateolt...
Great to find such an old cache. Even more impressive is the view into this great countryside!

Our second day in Irland and Bray together with Låw and IBWÖ we Went around and logged some here. This was one of them. We have fine weather but it was rather blowy. Greetings from Sweden. FP for an old and special cache. Tftc
A business meeting the following day left me enough time to visit some of the oldest caches around Dublin - all with Hidden months I was still missing. Without surprise, the 1st cache I had on top of my to-do-list was Europe’s First! I was surprised about the amount of people doing the Cliff walk - mostly muggels On the way there I could also log 2 traditionals and gather all the information for 2 Earth caches. As soon as that was acomplished I was heading to Kyle Cache 1, hiked up the hill ? and logged this oldie while enjoying the amazing view. After that, I was pointing towards the airport where I stopped at the church ? of St.Doulagh‘s ticking off another must have month. Then it was time to drive to the Howth Peninsula - well known from flying into or off DUB - where I wanted to get first The Summit (1.1.2002!) and then the Fairy Tree - this one not being old - but allowing me to log my very last missing hidden date! Yesss, finally I got that spreadsheet full! This one deserves a FP owing to its cuteness On the way back I came along Views of and Ben of Howth. This Peninsula is a jewel! As it was getting late it was time to call it a day and head back. What a great geocaching experience! Something to remember for a long time!

Our plan was to spend a night in Bray and find caches to fill the gaps in our D/T grid. We also targeted a few caches that would help with the Jasmer challenge and this cache was a major target on that list.
What a great couple of days! 17 finds logged, plus two challenges signed that we are almost eligible to complete. Eight of these finds had a Terrain rating of 3.5 and above, so it was appropriate that we gained this month’s souvenir – *You might be an Adrenaline Junkie if ….*
We parked at the suggested parking waypoint for the nearby *Northwest Challenge* (GC2RKE9), which we found and signed on the way past. There had obviously been a gorse fire recently, (see photos) but this cache was not damaged. As per the description the container was spotted quickly when we reached GZ. It was open and couldn't be removed from the rocks. The log was signed, all returned as found and the container closed. We now only need a couple more to complete the *Leinster Top Ten Challenge.*

After visiting Powerscourts my girlfriend and I walked to this cache. Quite a hike and unfortunately a walking path was closed, so we had a lot of road with too many cars.
In the end I made the last hike up the hill. Quite a view from here! I found the cache after a chat with a local family, just passing by. I went up to the top afterwards. Marvellous view! TFTC!

Yesterday I arrived in Dublin with Bergsteigermaus, brabax-4 and fyrsel to spend a couple of days in Ireland. We have different goals here: to visit Europe's oldest cache, finding some other missing month and 6 or more different types, enjoy the nature, culture and the Guinness .
Today we started our tour in Bray.
From the car park we took the trail up to top of Bray head and walked from one cache to another and than down to cliff walk to have the easy part back to the car . We enjoyed the lovely weather and the interesting landscape. At the end we had a lot of kilometers on our step counter and also many founds.
After leaving Bray our next stop was Wicklow to walk up the small mountain to reach the hidden can here to complet this month in the Jasmer Challenge for brabax-4 and Fyrsel. I already have found this month but it is great to find another one with this age.
Thank you for keep this old cache alive and greetings from Berlin, Germany .

Once upon a time four german (crazy) geocacher ladies decided to visit Dublin together. We stayed here four days and had a great time in the really beautiful nature. Our first day led us to Bray.....of course to visit europes First. Afterwards we drove to this other Oldie, which we were able to find after a while. Some TBs out. TFTC and greetings from Berlin.
This was an excellent short but strenuous walk to the top with great views of Sugar Loaf mountain. We didn't have time to follow up with Bono's cache but reckoned we saw a property that could have been owned by him across the valley- assuming he could set it off against tax. I'm not sure if this was the inspiration for Chas and Rick to play assorted Irish songs on their ipods on the drive into Dublin.

We spend 2 dayes in Dublin. First day just walking around looking on this and here, founding a few caches. 2. day we took the hop of- hop on bus and learned about some historical things - after we took some more caches.
In the early evning we drove up for this one and what a great view from here
Thanks for showing

This. Is. An. Awesome. Cache! An boy, she is an old one too! I got lucky and basically the spot on the road I told my GPS to go to had a very well worn track head nearby. I followed this until it turned away and then headed straight up the guts of the hill. It was quite cold but luckily only little wind was around today so it was a pleasant and not overly difficult walk. The cache was partially exposed but in great nick so I grabbed it and headed up to the very top of the hill. WOW!!!! What an absolutely amazing view from up here. I could see Bray's Head which I climbed last weekend... and Sugarloaf which I intend to climb this coming weekend All along the coast almost from Dublin to Wicklow was visible and I took lots of photos before I got headed back down to GZ with the box. I put a TB all the way over from Australia in the cache, signed away and rehid it with a bit more camo. Shouldn't be a hard find though.
The TB is a USB stick and wants you to put photos on it of Landmarks and buildings before moving it on. It belongs to a friend of mine back home in Sydney. I have held onto it WAY too long waiting for a spectacular cache to drop it in. So take some snaps, upload them to the stick and send it on its way. On the way back down I followed the path and sure enough with a turn or two it will get you all the way to the trail head to the east of the hill which I used. It is just a bit longer then going cross country
Cheers From Australia... truly Awesome cache!

I think we had the steep way up but it was just a short distance.
Great view from the top.
Great view from the top.
Lovely view from this hill. Easy find, but the cache could do with a bit of maintenance: all the content is damp. Tried to replace it so that it wouldn't be too affected by rain.

Stunning views and good weather made this trip very enjoyable. However, the cache is all wet and needs a dry log book!
