Nice quick side trip, TFTC!!South Australia is the place be for GCA1DNA - MEGA - February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide! Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward!
Easy find with coconuts3 on a 4 day whirlwind trip in the area. Container a bit rusty but holding up and log is dry. TFTC.
Easy find with coconuts3 while on a 4 day whirlwind tour in the area. All good and dry here but container getting very rusty, might need a renewal soonish. TFTC
On a geocaching adventure with busy paws in our motorhome. Staying at Glenmac farm where we parked up. Left in suzy to explore the area. Can say we have never driven in here before so was interesting. Thanks for the cache erninz.
Cache was a quick find but it took me ages to open the container. Was a lovely rainbow in the sky. What is it with lollipops at caches in Kurow
Staying in Kurow. Out for a drive before dinner. Ms M found this on her bike earlier but had lost her pen so we returned to do the admin. TFTC
Going down to stay at my son's place in Oamaru. Left home early to do a few caches on the way. TFTC
Thanks for the nice bit of railway history. These series about this are so interesting. TFTC # 17,652
after unpacking the car and settling into our nearby holiday home I went for a short walk before tea to grab this one. Nice to see bits of the old local railway line. Thanks for placing.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on our Waitangi weekend to Kurow and environs. After checking into our accommodation in Kurow, and having a reviving cup of tea, followed by an even more reviving coffee , we decided to find a few local caches before dinner.
I dropped SW off and then carried on a little further to find a suitable place to do a U-turn. On my return, he was already signing the log book. This was the last of 30 caches found today, now time for some dinner. Thanks for all your caches today, we have had a grand tour of the area. TFTC.

I had earlier arrived to stay in Kurow for a couple of nights but after falling asleep a number of times whilst trying to read my holiday book I decided that some exercise was needed. So down came the ebike from the back of the caravan and I set off on a cyclocache ride.
Quick find but the log(s) were all just fluff so I left a proper log in a new baggie.

Perfect hint. I had my own tiny piece of paper with me. Next person can use the back. Maybe replace what's in it as not usable anymore.
Thanks for the history on this cache. Log needs replaced. Sorry I didn't have any spaes or I would have done this for you. TFTC erninz
In Kurow for the long weekend and time to get some caches on the outskirts and around town before heading home. A quick find but log is very torn! TFTC
Decided to make a trip to Duntroon over the Dansey Pass. Lots of logs to find and sign and this one was one of them. Day and it begins again. TFTC
Its time to turn this frown upside down ,
I have stayed in kurow several times since my dnf building pivots hoping it would be placed but as yet not . so I have dropped a temporary fix in place as the original has clearly gone . grass is nice and long to hide an eclipse tin at the base of the hint

Sunday drive/bike/walk around the lower waitaki to get some more smiles
I think the previously mentioned bulls have eaten the cache nothing in the likely spot

Well that is one side road that I had never been down, and probably won't need to go down again. A quick find for us here. Found with debsnz
The container had water in it and the log was a soggy mess. Have replaced log so all good to go again. Found with Aoraki Sheep.
Stopped here on a day drive to explore the region and find a few caches. An instant find in the first place checked. Signed log, TFTC
I was on my way to Kurow to sign off a few caches on the way to and in and around the township.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
Headed down south with C&D and 11HPG11 for the CHCH Mega as part of the HOAC team, and decided that a Mega road trip/Mega Mission was the right thing to do. After a great day caching from Dunedin to Omarama we manged to get a few hours sleep before the big day 2 started.
Day 2 was the start of a ambitious plan to try and find as many caches as possible in one day! To maximise our chances of a big number we decided a 24 hour caching day was the only way to go. What an epic day, and some great moments too. The rough idea was to cache from Omarama to Oamaru, and then head north towards Christchurch. A huge thanks to everyone for the cache placments, and I apologise for the copy and past logs.
Find #59 for the day.

This was the start of a MEGA caching weekend in the company of good caching friends. In the company of both HKCB & 11HPG11 this was going to be another memorable caching road trip for many reasons.
This is the mission that we had set ourselves up for several months back. It was HKCB's idea, I was just dumb enough to think it was a challenge and I'd be up for it, 11HPG11 was silly enough to come along for the ride once we confirmed a spare seat (Nova Lightening pulled out for family reasons).
We were going to try to beat the NZ one day record in New Zealand (it would have been easier with 4 people), so after 2.5hrs sleep after a good feed at Omarama we were ready to go. This was the fifty eigthth on what was to be an epic day with what amounted to 401 caches collected for the day and about 38 DNF's. We managed this with 10minutes to spare but by this time we were done for and still had to drive back to Kaiapoi. All in all an epic days caching with good friends and something I don't think any of us will repeat in a hurry.
All in all it was going to be a big day with a number of challenges, great sceanery, and of course great company. Fantastic driving along and up here as the landscape was so different from what we are used to back in the Waikato. One good thing about backroads being that we could continue our neferious activites without being disturbed by muggles.
Nice quick find here without any issues .
thanks for the placement , thanks for the cache

What a Mega Mission for a group of Hamilton Over Achievers! A great trip, a long time in the planning. I teamed up with Cats&Dragons and HKCB to grab a couple of caches while in Christchurch and surrounding areas for the 2015 Mega Event. We flew out from Auckland on Friday night and traveled to Dunedin in the dark of the night. Stopped for a few hours sleep before setting off to grab caches in the Otago area on Saturday before attempting a few more on Sunday and then arriving at the Mega on the Monday. An amazing, yet crazy road trip
When C&D mentioned a day with over 400 caches I should have turned and ran... instead I said yes, and here we are. 401 caches in 23 hours and 50 minutes. All done on about 2.5hr of sleep. It was hard work with only 3 of us and there were times that were hard and tiring but I still had a blast! An amazing experience that one has to be slightly crazy to even consider
No problems on this one, thanks for the placement. Easy to search here in the dark!

Found it this time. At least my GPSr didn't crash this time however lost my pen somewhere during the days travels so didn't get to complete the log. Next time?
A quick easy find. The paper has been wet and blue ink ran so names are name smudged.

Headed out for a weekend of crazy caching with sharkiefan - it was all about numbers this weekend!
For me personally, I needed the numbers so that I could get enough caches to bring my average a day back up to 4 caches at least for this year, as on a streak it's not really possible to find heaps of caches in your home hood!
This was cache number 25 out of the 116 we found over the two days. And a huge thank you to all the cachers who put out all these caches! Loved the fun time we had - though weekend could have ended better!
Sorry for not writing cooler logs, but heading overseas in a couple days, and I don't exactly want to be behind in my logging then!! Haha.
Consec caching day # 405

This was the last cache in Kurow district - I grabbed them all today, this one (22nd) already with head torch. tftc
Out on my first all day caching, Dunedin to Kurow and return how many can I get? Number 40. #182
It was quiet enough today to find the cache without disturbing the locals. The old railway houses sure betrayed their pedigree. The log needs replacing real soon !
Names always make more sense when you've found them! Log almost full, didn't have any more paper today. TFTC
After rock Art, we spotted a cyclist at the side of the road. It was so windy he could barely hold his bike up so we decided to pick him up to take to Kurow. It was VERY WINDY & much effort getting both him & his bike in without being blown away ! After that we didn't stop for geocaches as getting to Kurow was now our priority. Closer to Kurow we showed our cyclist from Brisbane what geocaching was about & think he may be interested enough to take it up - esp good reasons to stop when out cycling eh?
A quick find on a big caching day from Christchurch with Kiwi Moose. Thanks for the hide.
Another one in the series. Nice to be off the main road for a while.
Thank you for placing this cache.

Out on a ride around the back blocks and went to find this cache only to find my GPSr had crashed and I had lost all my waypoints. Bugger. Another time.
