Our first geocache find! Thanks!

Today, I joined a few friends with an early hike to Pages Pinnacle. We departed from Neranwood Park to take the steep ascent, and then had an adventurous climb along the razorback before getting treated to great views at that local summit. Following the walk, I took a drive along Mount Nimmel Road, and then walked up further fire tracks whilst finding the *Austin Powers* series. Mudgeeraba Creek rock pool certainly appeared to be enticing to make a dip, as there were a few people about.
It was then a drive along/through Upper Mudgeeraba, and then along a few scenic routes that traversed Advancetown Lake / Hinze Dam. I did pop into Hinze Dam and completed the [Hinze Dam Walk](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/92f34238-e46a-4fb5-8b34-2d6c632e5b83
) Adventure Lab. A few final stops were made in Mount Nathan, before heading home for the day.

Whilst driving along this road promised with views, I took a stop. There were certainly some nice views in between houses, but not so many from GZ. I did need to take a little walk from the road in order to get to GZ, where a reasonably quick find was made. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks DJTracking for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

On a Christmas trip to Brisbane to delight the kids. A part of the trip was also to spend a touristy day in Gold Coast and Mt Tamborine.

As I wanted to gt also some nice views and photos, The Panorama was one of the ways to get this. So, up-up-up the hill I dragged the car and was handsomely rewarded by the views!

When it came to the cache, seeing that wearing joggers or hiking shoes and long pants would have been much more useful than my city shorts and sandals, this ended up being a walk-and-drive-by. Wave to the cache, a longing look that way, one more photo of the views and then it was time to slow-slow-slow down the hill and head out to Mt Tamborine.

On a rainy day we took the kids for a quick find. No swag but we placed some in ourselves for other geo kids. Enjoy!

It was a beautiful sunny day on the Gold Coast. Time to go and find some geocaches at the Hinze Dam. We spotted some houses up on the ridge and we thought we would check them out. What a fantastic view of the Gold Coast from up here. So many hoses straight out of the Grand Designs TV show. TFTC

With a major family event today, we still had time to collect a couple of caches on the way [^].
Looked around in a few places before spotting a black snake sliding into a log [xx(]. Kept looking and spotted the cache - at the other end of the same log !
Retrieved with extreme caution using a very long stick [8].

Tftc. Couple of days earlier I came via The Panorama just to find out that there was some people enjoying views so I did not stop to seek this at that time. Now I wanted to show the views also for my family, so we drove up here and fortunately we were all alone here this time. So few photos from magnificent views and after that few steps to the bush to do the paperworks.

We carefully made our way down to GZ for an easy find and sign. Back to the car and a bit further along we stopped to take some panoramic photos.

Used the lens cleaner a previous hider has thoughtfully left in the cache

Found nye after a morning at cararra markets. Caching was on the cards whilst we wait to check into our hotel. Infact I can see it from up here in surfers try and guess which one. Love the view tftc!

I had been for a quick blast around the mtb trails at the dam. Whilst it was a bit of a drive around, this was my next nearest cache.

Fantastic views from this road. Some magnificent houses up here too. Oh to be rich.

Forget about the caches this drive is definitely worth it for the views. We grabbed it just as the dogs nearby started barking

Last time I was up the Panorama I got the other 2 caches but couldn't get this one too as geowife was getting too hot and bothered. So came up here again today and enjoyed the views. Found cache fairly easily although didn't enjoy the long grass!

We came up here to check out the views and weren't disappointed with the city views. My GPS had me toing and froing in the bushes untill I stood still long enough to get a bearing that got me within 5 metres. After that, a nice quick find. Cache is in good condition. Thank you for placing a second one up here to convince us to drive a bit further along to check out a better aspect, and of course for the fun!

While heading south to Mudgeeraba, we did a little detour from the highway to avoid the traffic south of nerang, and spotted a few cache along this road. I must say the Panorama was quite stunning, unfortunately I did not find a spot that really worked for me to get a photo today.

The getting up this small hill though was quite interesting though, not sure I have ever driven such a steep road. But my car handled it quite well.

Anyway parked nearby to GZ and wandered into the bush, I could see glimpses of Hinze Dam, however not to much. Soon enough found a likely spot for the hide and retrieved the container. Log book signed and everything replaced, I noticed a geotrail leading right to GZ almost, could have saved a little bit of walking through the long grass.

We pulled up and dived (not literally) into the bush and followed a cache trail down and around and up to GZ. Mmm wrong cache trail.. Lol. Anth found the light and we headed back the short way to the road. Thanks DJTracking, for placing the 525th cache we've found so far!

Went for a big run down to Tweed Caldera area, picking up over 30 for the day. Caching with some of the little kids as is normal for me. Some fantastic caches, including a visit to Heinz Dam, and two earthcaches in total for the day. Visited so very nice scenic spots, had lunch out on the road, and did a bit of walking in fresh air. What else could you ask for... My thanks to all cacheo owners for placing and maintaining their hides.

On my final day of my Queensland caching trip I was able to grab a final 39 caches for the day. Had a great day with a few hard finds and a few walks. Thanks to all the CO's for their placements, and I apologise for the generic logs but I'm so far behind in my logging. Thanks heaps. Nice view.
