No longer findable as access has been removed to this site by local council. Please remove
Checked on cache today after person ( with only 12 find) wanted it arcived the cache is fine and is in the same place its been for years with lots of finds by more experanced finder
Yay, had a DNF here some time ago but got a hint and came back today after the CITO in Tahunanui.Pretty sure I checked this last time, but if you don't insist you won't get it. Nice one!Had some small swaps as well. Signed and replaced.
Second time here and still no luck - really want to find due to it being peoples favourite! Will keep coming back but any hints would be great
A nice quick find, once I applied myself. Nice to change a blue face yellow. A fav Point for the hide. Thanks for placing your cache. Ms_KR and I are out and about around Nelson today. A lovely day for a drive and a bit of a cache.Occassionally signed MK+KR on cache logs, and apologies for the generic logs. Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches.
Well, Ive been here a couple times looking but today I found it. Great spot, awesome hide. TFTC
I was here some time ago, but didn't have any luck. There were some recent finds, so I returned today with renewed hope. Before I left the Geovan, I read a lot of logs to see if I could get a bit of help. One or two things stuck out, so I went over to GZ and spotted something that needed closer examination with a ToTT. There it is! TFTC.
A great little hide. I usually find this type quickly but my gps had me a few meters away. Once I looked thru the logs I found an extra hint from cache owner that put me in the right direction. Gave a favourite point for this. TFTC
Finally found this after numerous attempts to locate, the name makes sense now after finding. Awesome hide, TFTC
Day 3 with Supernannny and Net61 in Nelson exploring this part of the country. SN wanted to come find this cache and turn her previous frown upside down. As we are not locals it took us a while to find the right way to get gz.
Once at gz, it wasn’t long before I had my hands in this sneaky hide. We stopped to check out the views before heading back down the hill. Thanks for this very well camouflaged cache

So thrilled to get this one finally ...
After a dnf 7 years ago when I was less experienced
A very cool hide hidden in plain sight .
Many thanks, Kiwi-Nomad .
It's definitely a favourite..

A clever hide, found about 6m from where my phone was indicating. Thanks for the fun.
Had a look around and wasn't sure so I had a look at the hint... hmmm OK I was on the right track after all. Just didn't check around well enough!
A great hide, well done! FP added.
TFTC Kiwi-Nomad, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 3 find(s) of 4 today, making this find #4258

Saw the recent DNF's, so here is an extra hint: corner, needs a pull (no need to go bushwalking). Happy caching and feel free to message me if you'd like another hint.
First cache in a looong time
Was here so thought I’d check my phone to see if there was a cache here, what do you know, knew there would be, had to get a tool from my ute to help get my hands on it as it was a bit tight. TFTC

Out grabbing a few caches to move closer to the 100 souvenir. Other times I have visited here alway been muggled out. Today had the place to myself so no problems with the find. Wind certainly blowing up here today. Thanks for the cache.
Taking my bike for a ride around our new neighbourhood. Picking up some caches along the way.
Wow, great views here! Nice spot to know about. In retrospect I was looking at the right place at the start of my search, but was too gentle and nothing budged. Spend quite some time looking at other places but no luck. After reading a lot of logs I was sure I was right in the beginning. But muggles did show up meanwhile, so had to wait. As soon as they left, I went to the spot and used more force. Bingo! A well known hiding technique in Europe, nice to see it here as well. Tftc & favo for the views & nice cache!

Just in Nelson fir a short time so no chance of a second attempt. So I will join all the other DNF’s
Found it after 3 visits reading lots of old logs thanks for the hiding the cache
Staying in the area, so called in to have a look for this one. Nice hide but soon located . Great views. TFTC
Wow!! This is embarrassing. The number of times I have been here trying to locate the slippery cache!!!
It is well lubricated for sure.

Was just about to give up here after a long search. Spent way too long in the wrong place. GPS put us wrong, as did the Satellite photo. A clever, well concealed hide. Some other logs were helpful but one or two seemed to be red herrings. Once found the cache name made sense but it doesn't help with the find. If we'd ignored the name we would have found it quicker.... TFTC.
Tregearp and I had looked for this one some time ago with no luck. Today we made a quick find with everything in good order. How we missed it last time is a bit of a mystery - may be we each just assumed the other one had searched that area. Regardless, nicely done Kiwi-Nomad, and thanks for the cache.
SJT_NZ and I had searched for this many years ago without success but knew it was there, it's funny how you get a little more savvy with caching nouse after a bit more experience. Nice hide KN and all in good order.
Term 3 break. Planning for next term is done and it's time for a Spring getaway before the fourth term begins. So it's off to Nelson we go to visit our son.
Staying in a home on Crown terrace, just around the corner. Had a stumped on our first attempt and a downpour of rain sent us scuttling back to our accommodation.
Decided some research was in order before the next attempt. Some valuable hints were gleaned from previous logs.
It was six years ago that I had discovered the COs Money Box cache and been wowed by its construction. This provided me with a clue as to what to look for here. I wasn’t disappointed — another clever hide.
It is definitely there folks.
Footnote: Six years ago I brought our son to Nelson for an interview at Nelson Aviation College as a student. His application was successful and now we return to visit him as a flight instructor at the College. Thanks to the CO for playing a part in our Nelson adventures.

Read some logs and tried my best, but couldn't find it. Maybe another day with less people around.
These Nelson ones are way harder than Wellington. Lots of muggles at this spot.
Went up to check geocache today after a few DNS's, pleased to report its still their and in the same hiding spot its been since it was placed, checked log book still lots of space and all good to be found as it has been, remember its a challenge, can't make them all to easy as no fun it that.
I hope it is still there. I had a decent search but there were some places that were very saturated & hard to access. There are many good places for hides here. Have to return an another time.
Having a weekend away in Nelson after a long lockdown Day two and a bit of a cold start but we soon warmed up. Thanks to the COs - We can’t wait to come back This one was hard to find but we noticed one slightly different. Luckily Richard was with me though because I couldn’t get the slippery little...TFTC
We came up here last night and were enjoying the view when another car showed up which limited our search activities. About 2hrs later I was passing by again and thought I'll give it another go but the same car was still there! Bugger. I guess the girls had a lot to talk about. Fast forward to this morning and I had the place to myself. I seriously couldn't believe I found it in a spot we had checked yesterday. Definitely well hidden and wow ... what a view! Thanks Kiwi-Nomad, have a favourite point.
Neat cashe! Had some help from a fellow cacher though so cant take all the credit. TFTC
Ahh finally success. Out on a walk met up with jnr 1 and duke101. Awesome to finally solve this thanks
Omg been here several days this week and nothing. Will keep trying hope it hasnt been muggled
Checked this one after a few DNFs, pleased to report its still their and the TB is still safe.
Me and the kids spent ages looking for this one. Pushed, pulled and poked everything but still didn’t spot it. We will have to come back another time.
Another great cache.
Dropped off a Travel Bug that has been trying to get to Queensland since 2014.

check on cache today and am pleased to report its still their as it was happy hunting.
Found what I thought was the obvious spot but it was not there. I left the lid as I found anyway
The Seagnoid had this one snagged smartly. Great hide. Cheers. The morning starts with splotches of sun over the Moutere hills. Great views today.
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geotrip to Nelson. We are on the hunt for points for the Carnival season so targeting the best caches Nelson has to offer.

Nice easy find. Well, once we were looking in the right place! Love the view here. Gets a favourite for... well, for all sorts of reasons. Nice hide, decent size, just because, great view, stuff.
With the latest Groundspeak promotion, Cache Carnival, I loaded my GPS with a pocket query containing all caches with 10 favourites or more between Nelson and Motueka. Over 1000 carnival points, should be enough to get me to 500 and the Grand Poobah souvenir; Rio de Janeiro. Except that I forgot the other aspect of the game, and I started this trip with 350 points, achieved while sitting on my arse, doing nothing. Taybeedragon has bet that I can get to 500 without finding a single cache, simply due to others placing favourites on my caches.
So anyway here we are, Taybeedragon and I, targeting better-than-average caches.

A quick find here, but a fave point for many reasons. The view, of course, but also the workmanship on the cache. Without giving too much away, just the attention to detail that makes it impossible to spot unless you are specifically inclined to look. Some nice little touches there. Thanks again K-N.
This weekend was a planned trip to Nelson that we organised a couple of months back.
My niece was competing in the S.I secondary schools athletics meet at Saxton, (quite successfully as it turned out), and as my brother had organised a house in Tahunanui for 4 days I had a base for a good weekend.
So I took the Friday off work, getting into Nelson while it was still dark in the morning to start a big day targeting highly favoured caches and anything else that took my fancy. Once reaching most of my goals and catching up with the tribe later that afternoon the weekend took a different slant, and it was all about the athletics, catching up and chilling out for most of the next two days.
Jo popped over on Sunday, and after the relays finished we just had time to make the Mapua event in the afternoon, then I grabbed a few more caches on the way home. A great weekend in so many ways, with Nelson turning on some great weather.
Thanks to all the COs, found some good ones

Stopped by to pick up the TB and also check if the cache was still there following the past DNFs.
Cache is still there and looking great. It's certainly not easy though so I suggest coming back after a DNF and just keep trying. We also (of course) picked up the TB to carry on to another cache.
Thanks kiwi-nomad for the Deja vu.

Lovely winter's afternoon so out to stretch our legs. Cache found with some difficulty as our GPS was not particularly accurate today even though we thought we knew what we were looking for.
Out with Girls Down Under today. Had my hand on the slippery sucker 3-4 times before GDU finally came away with it. Great photo op - thanks.
This one slipped away from us a few times in 2013. Today - the girls did it. Very pleasing. Thanks for challenge.
No issues finding for us today. We have come across this type before and figured what to look for. tftc
Second attempt at finding this cache. Tried with 3 of us and had no success.it was bugging me because so many had logged as one of their favourites!! So I returned a couple of weeks later and booyah!! Found the bugger and what a great cache. Love it thank you
Looked for about 5 min but it was starting to get dark and dinner was calling. Had an idea of where it should have been but no luck there
Checked cache as its as it was not sure what the last visitor was looking but its all good
Was discrete about checking the obvious places while a small group of visitors took photos of the view . Only took a few minutes to locate and smuggle to a seat to write in the log while the muggles were unaware.
Picked up a trackable

I searched for about five minutes without success, than my non geocache friendly family started to take the Micky to a point where I left. Will be back by myself next time and bring a bit more time.
Went to get this cache managed to open it this time another great cache from Kiwi-Nomad it deserves a favorite Tftc Kiwi-Nomad. I also dropped off a trackable
This is our second attempt at this cache ( over a year) and still no luck. You've got us stumped on this one Kiwinomad. Wish I still had my Gps. Not sure these phones are accurate enough.
Today we wanted to add a few caches to the numbers so we focused on low d/t caches.
Took us a while to find this one but we were determined.
Happy to grab this ecpcellent cache which gets a favourite from us.
TFTC.

Two visits for this one, first time had a very good idea of where the cache would be but it appeared I was wrong, still not convinced I was wrong I returned the following day after getting some local knowledge and there was the well hidden cache, then I understood the name. Beautiful views so was not sorry I had to visit twice. My Sister wanted me to walk up the steps, was not having a bar of that in this heat when there is a perfectly good road.
We've had several attempts at this one and still a DNF I'm afraid. Grrrr - so frustrating!! Great views though!
