Today I decided to take a drive over the hills to Leongatha and surrounds to find a few caches that had been sitting on the unfound list for some time now, once the drizzle stopped it was a rather nice day out for checking out unexplored areas. This is one of the caches found today. What a great location that I would never have come to if not for geocaching. Thanks Gonefishen07 for the cache.
Second time around the penny dropped. A quick find when I realized what I should be looking at. TFTC
To be honest, no offence, I hate this cache! It took about ten seconds to find yesterday and had touched the cache like thirty times. I guess third time is the charm with this cache! Well played Gonefishen07, not the first cache that has sent us mad!
Tftc Gonefishin07. The girls are off for a girls day out, so why not head off for caching circuit in Sth Gippy. Packed up the 3 geohounds and the male house guest and off we went. A bit of a look see for this one, but found, and a clever cache too.
Couldnt find it today. The GPS wasnt very accurate and there was just so many that it couldve been. Will most likely come back and try to find it another day.
Like others have mentioned, I have driven past the sign to this place many times, wondering if there was a cache here, but I never stopped to look until today. What a pleasant suprise as I drove in, said hello to Bessie, and waited for the muggles to leave. On this drizzly day, I had the place to myself, and I set about trying to find this cache. I was drawn to a particular area, but no amount of touching or proding revealed anything... I broadened my search but returned to my initial instincts several times. Eventually, the nice little hide was located ... very nicely executed.
On the way out, I came across Bessie again, who was being chased down the road by her owner. Well, I've done this a few times in my life , so one more time wasn't going to hurt.. Yep, I got out of the car to help round up Bessie back into her paddock,,,yee ha,, Fav point for location and cache executed

A hot weekend, so day1976 and I headed to a river and waterfall to camp near. The next day we drive the long drive through the plantations to find more caches, and then out into civilisation.
Found quickly, as I've found this type a few times. Loved the huge trees!

What a magic spot! Some amazing trees. Would not have known about this if it wasn't for caching. A FAV point from me!
Decided to check on this one due to recent floods, can confirm it's safe and dry, does need a little maintenance on the ziplock though TFTC
Had a feeling about the location last time I was here but had to log as DNF because of Muggles. Had some time today and knew the park would be empty as it’s raining. So here I am at the spot I know it to be, standing in the pouring rain trying to figure out exactly where this thing was. First clue helped (not sure on the second) and finally after a good old touch, pull and push everything, I had it! Amazing camo for an out in the open cache. Log book is a little damp as the bag is well broken. TFTC ️ another smiley on the map!
Absolutely no hope of finding this today for a few reasons. GPS was absolutely all over the place. Couldn’t even get an accurate reading as GZ put me in the middle of the road. Plus muggles everywhere. I’ll add it to my DNF list and try it again soon
Stopped here on our way home to check out the park.
Couldn't see anything at or near GZ, tried hint 2 to no avail

So happy I’ve seen a cache like this before or I would have absolutely no idea. The log book bag is ripped although still dry
WOW. What a magnificent location. The cache was quickly found but we spent quite some time taking in the surrounds. There are the most magnificent huge old oak trees as well as many others. The grounds are immaculate and everything was maintained to a high standard. A definite favourite for both of us. Thank you for bringing us here.
This is a stunning public area. The grassed area is huge and beautifully maintained. The trees are just massive. It is a long time since I've seen an oak as large as these. Reminds me of the one on my grandparents property. They had an orchard and we would park the old Fargo under the trees and eat fruit straight from the trees. Such wonderful memories so thank you for placing this cache here and reminding me of times gone by. A definite favourite.
Had seen the sign for moss Vale Park a few times and decided to stop in. Lovely shady area
Here for the Gippsland music festival and I was able to sneak round behind the portable toilets from the rotunda for a sneaky find.
Thanks
Thanks
looked for an hour and couldn’t find so i rang gonefishen07 and she told me a hint. very creative and a very beautiful park
We are staying at Grantville because we are in the area for yesterday's River Garden Working Bee in Bass. Mrs Dromaniax said to keep Sunday free as she had a surprise planned. She made out it was a day of geocaching with the geodogs. Well, it was that and more, she had organised that we meet up for lunch in Mirboo North with some dear friends that we have not seen for a while due to a whole variety of circumstances, including COVID. On the way home, we found some more caches. Oh My God, this place is stunning, we would have had no idea this park was here if not for Geocaching. The history of the park is fascinating and the trees truly amazing. The Plane trees in Melbourne are poor shadows of what they are meant to be, the ones in the photos are massive. Thank you Gonefishen07 for encouraging us to this park and the clever hide.
A great drive around Gippsland picking up caches.
Yarragon, Trafalgar, Thorpdale, Narracan Falls, Coalville, Mirboo North, Leongatha, Korumburra and Loch.
A quick find in this great park. No souls around which makes it my kind of place.
I had a look around before heading back out.
Thanks.

Moving inland today - Cowes to Stratford, naturally with a number of short diversions and stops to get out and stretch our legs!
What a delightful park, unfortunately there was car rally of some sort being conducted around GZ - no luck today -the perfect reason to come back again.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

A beautiful park. A gem. Phone died before getting a good fix and didn't even note what size cache I was looking for so not much chance of success, but a wander in the park was more than enough reward for the visit.
I have poured over the location for a couple of hours on multiple trips but alas I must think it’s been muggled.
Thanks anyway.
Thanks anyway.
Tftc. Love this spot. We used to bring kids out here heaps when they were little. Perfect spot for a teddy bears picnic
We found your cache while exploring the area, a fine day, excellent scenery, a great day out. Wow we will have to revisit this park again!
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Was at this park for the father-in-laws 70th birthday and decided to get our first cache for the year. Nice quick find. Great park
Boy, this is embarrassing. I've forgotten to log this cache for 6 months. Just perusing the map and......hang on a minute......check Instagram for the awesome photo of the historic tree and yep, I've got an exact date for when I visited!
I’m big about self care at the moment.. Today’s self care was taking the kids to enjoy the serenity here at Mossvale park. Knowing I’d have no reception I downloaded this cache to my offline list
While cooking lunch I set off on a little adventure to find this cache. It was a nice quick find by master 6. The log was signed and we replaced as found.
This is a beautiful area that we frequent often and it never disappoints:)
Thanks Gonefishen for placing this cache for us to find

I stopped by this park quickly to check it out as we’ve got tickets to go to a music festival here in Jan. This was a quick find but we were familiar with this type of hide. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Finally found this one after searching for it on three other occasions so was very happy to finally be able to tick this one off. TFTC
What a nice park! I guess it's one of those places that only people from the local region know about and, obviously, now a bunch of marauding cachers! Clean, well maintained and, "gasp", no grafitti or other signs of vandalism. I reckon the next time we come down to the Leongatha area we'll have to plan to have lunch here.
Clever hide which I would add to my favourites but it seems this can't be done *retrospectively* as an edit to a log after it has been submitted. Pity!
Anyway, TFTC.

Clever hide in a lovely park, we'll re-visit this park and hang around longer next time, it gets a favourite from me because of the hide.

Really clever hide, I enjoyed finding a cache suited to its surroundings! thank you!
Found it at 1450 with Sadds... on our 11th Wedding Anniversary!
Got married here 11 years ago, almost to the minute

Quickly found with ICW. Very strange to find a corner of England in place of what must have been a wonderful Gippsland forest. Mr Moss must have been pining for the homeland when he planted all these deciduous trees. Tftc.
Visited to show my son and g,daughter the trees and history . Have checked area on numerous occasions, and reading other finds. What am l missing,(apart from the cache) . Walked up and placed my hand on it. Finally. T f t ongoing hunt, now a find.
Nice quick find. After finding it had a play in the leaves from the oak tree. Listed by the the National trust.
I will call this attempt number 3 at getting my hands on this cache. Attempt one saw me enter the park to find only one other vehicle in attendance and a whole family of muggles set up sitting in deck chairs apparently with no better vista available to them than GZ. Yes every chair was occupied and facing that way. WTF!!!!!
Attempt two saw mummy short legs and I approach the famed park only to be turned away at the bridge because apparently a festival of some sort was taking place. Here followed being watched by 2 gate keepers while we had to execute a 46 point turn to get out of there again.
Attempt three saw me so frustrated with the chronically unpredictable driving of a vehicle ahead of me on the way to wonthaggi for work that I turned off at Moss Vale, beelined straight for GZ and quickly found this one without even pulling out the gps before anyone could interrupt my attempt again!! Phew!! TFTC and the saga Gonefishen07!

Finally found this one with Duck_Legs, had us stumped and needed several visits. Clever, not sure about the second hint!!!!
Looked yesterday on our way to Phillip Island and today on our way back but did not come up with the cache
Third time back to find this cache. The first time I was a novice with no idea and limited/zero phone reception and didn't really know where to look. The second time there were muggles really close by and they just had not plans to leave, so I did without searching, even though I worked out where I needed to look. The third time today there was not a muggle in sight and I walked right to it and found it straight away.

3rd time lucky! Last week when we can back to find as more experienced cachers I had had my hand on it and even looked at it. Today I realised it had to be it......Phew! I can keep my credibility
Out exploring the local area with misschief18 and Bentley TB and came across this beautiful area previously unheard of. Quickly had the cache and log in hand and the log signed

No luck with this one today. Hint No 2 had us a little confused?? Will be back to attempt another day.
We softness find this one almost 3 years ago however after have now found quite a few of those we knew what we were looking for. As we were driving by today we dropped in a quickly signed the log. Thanks Gonefishen07.
What a beautiful park, it took us four goes to get this one, very clever Gonefishen07, thanks for the hint
Find #1830 logged at GZ at 12:56 pm. Dropped in on the way to visit a friend at Mirboo North. A real oasis here. T4TC Gonefishen07!
Found while returning home from attending Wonthaggi events with gwd.aussie and sqau.
A very nice little park hidden away off the main road. Lucky we grabbed cache when we did as the longer we were there the more cars were turning up.
Thanks Gonefishen07
