Awesome stroll thanks for the excuse to get off my a$$ his lovely sunday#found#glassladybug
I had noted the request from the CO for a spruce up of this cache quite a while ago. I needed to replace my cache close by so brought a few swaps, new log and some wipes to do just that as I have some clear memories about when a group of us found this cache as part of one of the COs events and there was a bit of a dilemma as there was some additional information about a puzzle several were working on inside. But I couldn't find this regular sized cache! I have found it at least twice (maybe 3 times before) as it was close to home and a good one for visiting children to find. I checked every hint item within 20 metres three times I'm either blind or its not there. I hadn't come with a replacement but did had a 200ml sistema so decided to replace it with that. Did the previous finder mean they took it home to dry out? probably not. The GPS was all over the place as the batteries were all but flat so I will come back for another look another day when I have a bit more time. Note this is currently smaller and contains no writing implements
I had lots of time while I was waiting for my car to be repaired, so I hiked way over here and found the cache. TFTC.
Kia ora everyone. Unfortunately, we are a long way away and unable to spruce up this geocache. It was placed 12 years ago, and I think it should live on for another 12, but we need someone to help us make things clean and fresh for the kids. It could be anywhere from you getting a fresh new container, toys, etc and telling us how much you spent so we can pay you back - right to the point where we make one up, and we send it to you at our cost, but you agree to pop it into place. Either way, you will be a legend! Please send us a message.
Incidentally... "Jr B" is now 20 years old and in his 2nd year of a teaching degree!

It was a bit slimy and wet inside! Kids still excited to find. Thanks for the cache!!
L was very excited to find this all on his own! Thanks for such a kiddy friendly cache
General:
Finally both Dutch Kiwis had a few hours together without kids, which had been a long time ago. What better way to spend the day than go out on a joint geocaching adventure! Great weather, nice tracks and 0 DNF's, which is a first on a longer cache day in NZ . Thanks to all CO's for the placement & maintenance!
Specific:
Took a while to find the right tree but eventually got back to the one we tried first and of course from a different angle we saw it immediately

I found this cache again and it was super super easy LOL good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!°!°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°°
Through the eyes of babes. What would the kids be doing to find this? Found it pretty swiftly after I asked myself that question lol
it was a heck of a walk-up here I'm not used to those sort of hill climbs then get to the top and its 120 meters down the other side so did the loop track. lol but I am doing this to keep/get fit was an easy find once there. tftc
Out for an Easter Monday family walk. Beautiful day, beautiful location and an easy find for the kiddos
Thanks for the nice easy hide Took our soon to be 3 yr old here for a stroll. He liked seeing the treasure.
Good wee wander up the hill with views of the proposed Maitai valley sub-division. Shame to see good farm land turned in to residential properties. Hope it does not go ahead but time will tell. Arrived at GZ and soon had cache in hand - all good here. Onwards now to Pu Yaw Flah.

A great walk from the Botanics, up over the hill past the Centre of NZ, down into Branford Park in the Maitai Walked some side tracks I've never done before
Women's Summer Challenge event was on today & we spotted a few of the direction markers & stopping points

Good to see this one still ticking along. It was a quick find where expected. All good here, it’s in good shape. TFTC beltfamily.
Today RG1972 and I went for a walk around the centre of NZ, without actually going to it. We were able to stretch the legs on some of these side tracks and pick up a few caches on the way. Also got a few pathtags, all but one for swaps. But a nice day, good exercise, and all caches in good shape. I did the signing, RG did the selfies. Thanks all.

Just had to come visit JBs Maitai Manuka while we are exploring the Maitai valley. Left our calling card here. Cheers.
Its Wellington Anniversary weekend and The Seagnoid is heading south. So its a weekend away with Zara, Toby and The Seagnoid with the main focus on LAB caches around Nelson and Tasman. And a day around Marlborough for cache maintenance and phone maintenance. Another awesome weekend.

Nice big cache here! Although it could use an inner container. And some nice trees to hide from the sun under. Picked up a trackable, dropped in an emerald and a path tag.
Hey - there are cherry trees here! Quite a few - I saw about 4 or 5, at the corner just up the path. Thats a bit of a surprised. Less of a surprise was that I heard a goat or pig nearby. Maybe 10m away. Didn't see it though. The maps need editing herre. Will do that in a few days.
It's Wellington Anniversary so what better thing to do to celebrate than to... leave! I hopped on a plane and headed over to Nelson and met up with Taybeedragon for a couple of days of adventure labbing in Nelson then to Blenheim on Monday for some cache maintenance and to pick up a huge swag of ammo cans (it's not what you know, it's who you work for!)

TB dip for a tracable that was found here but not logged in the cache. It's last log was four years ago! In Utah!
Left Mama Bear. She wants to go to the Pacific Northwest. Please don’t keep her like I did. She has wanderlust!!
A sunday mornings caching with my new caching group Tjacks1 and Missnboyz. Thanks ladies for our adventures this morning.
We'd planned a few in the Mitai area. A good find here in an obvious spot. TFTC

A cache with an alliterative title - check. A beltfamily one to move closer to 100 by them - check. On a track where I was heading - check. Triple winner. All good here and replaced a little better and less prone to sliding down the hill. Interesting to see olive grove back a ways. T F T C
Last day of May and after a nights rest at home I was back over the hill for a second consecutive day to get an unfound (by me) Earthcache from Brook Valley as well as some other cache treats. Only a modest few caches today but a nice walk around the airport and a FTF too!
A funny long weekend this one was. mrs capperz has headed to the North Island to await the birth of grandchild number 12, yes 12 (with another due in October), and so I was at a 'loose end', yeah right. Also on the agenda is an impending move of us and the household to Auckland, maybe as soon as 4 weeks time, and I have 3 days off work, fuel is not too badly priced at the minute (starting to sound like a Blues Brothers line) so it was a chance to roll down the drive for 3 separate forays into Nelson/Tasman territory to pick off some random caches. Not a 'numbers' trip, more a settling the stats trip. I was keen to make a few more beltfamily cache finds to get to the magical triple figures, plus some unfinished rail business from Marlborough's t S. A weekend of great tramping/walking/caching weather, 3 consecutive days of 20kms walked, nice, and some great scenery.

A quick and easy find. Not too much further on from the Maitai lookout cache so what the heck. Thanks
Having a wee break up in Nelson. Today we drove not too far away from the middle of town, had some good walks and had lovely fine weather. Those we found together were signed Ms+Mr KR.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

It was a bit slippery underfoot so I was pleased I had gone the easy way up. I will bring the grandkids back here one day as they will be interested in the post a wee bit further up the hill. Thanks for the cache
Great walk up the hill admiring the views out over the Matai valley. Quick find and sign. Thanks for the cache.
What a great spot, I've really enjoyed exploring these hills today.
Thanks very much!
Thanks very much!
Thank for the trip! Off on an adventure with the boss! Thanks sunny Nelson. Tftc
A pleasant winters day cache hunting walk in the lower maitai valley. Haven't been on that track for 5 years, thanks for giving me a reason
The hint was very helpful. I would not have found it without it. The view from here into the maitsi valley is amazing. Tftc
A walk up the Maitai after NMIT, I also introduced a new friend to Geocaching. TFTC
Took me longer to get my tongue around this cache name than it did to find the container. TFTC
Found on our 25 day New Zealand South Island holiday.
Apologies for the late log but with little or no internet as we travelled and only super slow WiFi in van parks I decided to log all finds on my return home.
Found on a two night stopover in Nelson

My phone has not got an accurate gps! However we got there in the end. No pen in the box.
Had never ventured along this way before today, so I was able to enjoy the journey to the GZ regardless of a find or not.
Nice views along the valley were rounded off by a find.
Thanks

#8403. It was bit of a magical musical mystery tour to get to GZ, but once there it was a quick find. Some tracks that are new to me. TFTC.
Another cache where we weren't sure of the access as the tracks weren't on either on google or the GPSr maps. When walking up to Pu Yaw Flah from Branford Reserve, we noticed a side track in the direction we wanted to go, so on our descent took this loop track back.
We eventually made it to GZ, could have got there quicker if we had taken another side track but we made sure we went back the shorter route.
A bit of a scramble to get to GZ and as promised a quick find. Nice to see a decent sized cache, but we TNLN. A good viewpoint of the Maitai Valley near here too. TFTC.

Stumbled across this cache which got us into the game, glad we did. Has a bit of water damage and might not be in the right hiding place... not really hiding at all. Still a very cool cache thank you, you have introduced my family to this amazing hobbie
Lovely day for a walk up a track ive never been up before, magic view from the top and a smiley to add to the list as well ] Thanx4tc

Found during a nice walk in Nelson. I had a day to look around. Walk around and found a few caches on my way to another lookout.

Quick find as cache uncovered. Signed log and returned cache making it a little less obvious.
Such a beautiful morning for a walk, parked on the other side of the river, have never walked this track before. Great cache location thanks
This cache was a good excuse to walk up this track again and a change from the main track on the other side of the hill. A small amount of water was tipped out of the container but the logbook is dry. TFTC.
This cache has been beckoning for some time. The bag has seen better times but the log is still fine. A nice walk on a frosty morning. TFTC
Spotted quickly but pretended not to see it so that the young one with us could make the find, it stopped the grizzling after he stepped on a prickle
Nice quick find after a ride along from the centre of nz. Very large container! TFTC
