Needs reviewer attention. This cache has been out of action for a year now due to removal of the fire escape ladder. The vicar who approved the hide has left [https://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/congregation-split-complete](https://www.odt.co.nz/news/dunedin/congregation-split-complete). The cache owner is no longer in Dunedin.
I had to have a crack at this one before it was gone. Was tricky to get to and it looks like things have been cut off to stop people clumping up it. But the boot of my car and some muscles got me to it. TFTC
Looks like OSH standards have made access to the cache very tricky indeed.
Will be in Dunedin next month and can assess then, but looks likely that this cache will be archived.

The ‘gateway’ to the cache has been taken away, confirmed at geocache event today. We know where it is.... but access has been taken
This cache has been on my "must do" list for some time. Previous visits had not yielded any success so eventually sought help at a recent event. A suitably vague clue had me at last in the right area. Spotted what looked like the prize during a daytime visit but was hesitant to approach in case I proved to be wrong. Returned under cover of darkness (with the help of security lighting) to finally claim my reward. Log sheet is now full. Unfortunately I didn't have anything suitable to leave as a replacement.
Definitely one of the best hides I've seen. Easily gets a favourite from me. Well done TEF. TFTC

Love it, very clever hide, spotted something out of the way and aha!! Found with DocnDi TFTC
There was some time left, so I decided to have a short walk in the neighborhood of our hotel and do some caches. This was the second one. It took a while before I realised where I could find the cache. Shall I do that? Yes, why not . I enjoyed this one very much, so a favorite is added! TFTC.
Out with Kiscardi finally found this I was totally on the wrong track previously.
We are on a road trip around the south of the South Island. Today we spent the day caching around Dunedin. This one took us a while to find. TFTC.
Out grabbing some high dt and high favourite caches today and this one was on the list.
Took a bit of thinking but not too long before the cache was in hand.

Found with stairman1. Took heaps of searching. We had spotted the hide way earlier but dismissed it. Should have had a go then.

Found with goldielover after all but giving up. Had spotted the object very early but dismissed it, there is no way this could be made stealthy . I realise the ratings are there but really feel there should be an extra attribute on the page. If there had been even one other person around I would never have attempted this cache.
Even though it’s a Sunday, there was no one around at 9 at night. Spotted something suspicious and 10sgrl fetched the cache. Fun hide!! TFTC
I was down in Otago for the long weekend to attend the Oamaru Geofest and today drove back down to Dunedin, finding a few caches as I went. On arrival in Dunedin I decided to look for a few caches with a high amount of favourite points. Arrived at GZ and examined the area for a little while and only one thing really stood out to me, but I doubted that it was the cache so hesitated about retrieving it! I thought about it a bit more, read the cache description again and then felt sure that I had indeed spotted the cache, so then went about retrieving it! A bold, but clever hide - favourite point added! TFTC!
Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Jag50 and Bertie Blowfish. We were driving back to Dunedin to fly home after our adventure. Thankfully it was Labour Monday so there was no one around to watch us wander around and around in circles. We investigated many different possibilities and finally came to one conclusion. However we didn't want to risk attempting in case we were wrong. Sent out an SOS to a previous finder to confirm our suspicions and went to get lunch while we waited to hear back. Our suspicions were confirmed, so we headed back here and Mr Jag volunteered to retrieve the cache.
Down in Oamaru for the Geofest with Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish. While taking two of the team to the airport to head home we wanted to try and find this high scoring favourite. An initial search failed to show up anything so we left with a view to returning. A hint was sought and so we returned. Sure enough we had spied this previously but did not really think it was the final location. Not sure how well everything works but it effectively hides the cache.
I am not quite sure if I like this hide or not. At least I am happy about not having mugglers around at the time being there.
Cache still worth visiting.
Cache still worth visiting.
In hindsight doing this on a Sunday morning was prob not the best idea, several church muggles inquired what we were up to. Read all the info over and over and one bit made us suddenly realise where the cache must be. Great cache gets a fave from us. TFTC
A must do cache. Got to gz and pondered where it was. Saw something that looked likely. Signed and replaced. Log book will soon need replenishing. Definitely worth more than one fav point.
On our way to geofest, visiting from Australia with our nz caching buddies. This was a great hide, wouldnt never have thought to look there. Worth a favourite.
Found with [@Gmccul](http://coord.info/PRAYZ4R) and Ellehcim2001
Fantastic urban cache. One of the ladies from the office did come to give some assistance. In hindsight, we should have realised the location on our lonesome.
Nevertheless, as soon as the local gave a bit of direction, we immediately spotted the likely location. Sure enough there it was!
Favourite point from me for delivering something different within an urban location.
TFTC and hello from across the ditch.

Oh wow how cool. Hid one in similar fashion myself. Stupidity dismissed it after having spotted it early on. TFTC
Signed it a long time ago with a dunedin group of geocaches but wasn't able to log it as I'm not a full member. However this week I can. Yippee
Took us 40 minutes to find it. Tricky location, we thought that surely that would be considered private property. All in all, good find !
Wow! Very cool. Not sure I would make it there but very pleased to have it. Did get help for this from a fellow geocacher after a fruitless search. Tftc. Definitely a favourite!!
I have been past this one many, many times. It was starting to creep into my dreams (the find in my dream didn't helped at all). This evening popped out again and came away smiling!! So thrilled to log this one. Thanks for the cache. Off to celebrate now
Out with Red Roaming as we continue our tour of New Zealand. another lovely day. Logs signed with our full names or DD & RR to save space.
Well what a sneaky cache. I actually spotted it on arrival and dismissed it. No that can't be it. so we searched and searched and searched - nothing. I went back to my original spot, discussed it with RR, who also said surely not! I said it has to be. OK RR said and YES you are right!!!! ah where is the pen, here I said!! anyway cache signed and carefully replaced. MTFTC and have a Fav point

Cache took a while to spot...and me to retrieve as I had fallen on my left elbow yesterday - however when there is a cache to retrieve, some pain only means gain (or so I am told!). Many thanks
Travelling around the world with Dartmoor Deliverer to help her celebrate taking early retirement!
Favourite point - brilliant hide!
NB Dont forget our Devon UK Mega 2017 this August in the beautiful East Devon area of our county. UK Megas are over one week full of events and geocaching - a wonderful way to enjoy our county!

OCW GeoWench78 while walking/exploring Dunedin from the Radiance of the Seas...had fun with this one...looked around for a few minutes until another option came to mind...nicely done...TFTC!
A fav. point for cleverness. Found with AF BEE while on a great geocaching vacation. Thanks for placing this cache.
Ohhh very clever ! We understood the 3 notation on this!
Awesome, thanks for the cache !
Awesome, thanks for the cache !
Last cache of the day while out walking with P&Vee and vdh56. Had me thinking for a minute there. Tftc
Soon spotted by Mrs S and Mr R was sent to retrieve it. This one would never be found if the lid was a different colour . SL and replaced as found.
Found as part of our "2016 Pensioners' Road Trip"
Many thanks to TeamElliottFamily for setting this cache and greetings from the Isle of Man.
Cache number 5016
Finally! Boy did it take me a while and a fair few visits to find this one. Not in a spot that I even contemplated it would be, but thanks to a tip from a really friendly somebody I had the cache in hand! TFTC
We only had time for a few caches before our flight out, so this was one of them. We parked in the lot, read the cache page (twice), looked around a bit before getting out of the car. We thought we spotted something interesting, but really... *there*? So we got out and looked around a bit more, but still liked our first theory the best. While we were pondering, a lady inside the church looked out so we knew they were watching, and they knew what we were doing. Finally we retrieved the cache, and the lady inside looked out again and we waved to indicate our success. She smiled. Important info on that cache page, for sure. Great cache. TFTH.
Quite a sight for any on lookers (luckily no one around) a couple of fatties retrieving the cache!! Very cool spot!! Fav point for the cache placement. oh and we figured it out pretty quick. On a 11 day caching trip around the south island. Log signed as b&p.Tftc TeamElliottFamily. Find # 3735
Well another quick fire visit to Dunedin for work and manging to squeeze in a few caches along the way. While they had been expecting rain it was actually rather mild and pleasent out caching.
The objective for this trip was to collct as many caches as I could working towards that infurnel DGSc Challenge that seems to be taking forever to complete, but then saying that I only require a further 70 caches to meet the requirements (and needless to say I have to travel further and further from home to acheive them.
As this was just around the corner from where I was staying I couldn't really let it go.Had a rough I dea of what was to be needed but then one cannot always be entirely sure, but once at the location I knew what I was going to have to do. It was only after I was walking back to the car the rain started falling which made me pleased with my timing. Pleased to have located it
Thank you for the cache, thank you for the placement

I had made two unsuccessful visits about a year ago but after a nudge in the right direction by a friend I was able to spot it but retrieving it at that time was not a good idea. Heading through town this Sunday morning just after 6:30am it dawned on me that this might be the ideal time and so it turned out to be.
This was our third cache of the day in this area. Decided today was a good day to tackle a few that have eluded us in one way or another. We looked for this one back when we first started geocaching to no avail but second time around and a lot more experience on these tricky hides and K spotted it straight away. Bit of a chuckle as I can safely say there is NO WAY I would have ever thought it would have been where it was first time around!!! R slightly less enthused as it was her who had to retrieve it. Definite favourite for us. TFTC
3rd time lucky. Or actually not lucky, finally did a PAF to DebsNZ who gave us the push we needed.
What fun! Injeanious and I arrived at GZ and though 'oh no'. Didn't have a clue where it might be and looking around had us even more confused. However after contemplating things we spied something that was out of place. I was sent to see if it could be what we were after. I tried it but it didn't budge. We conferred, I tried again and success! It was a freezing day which made things a little more tricky and some boys in one of the flats overlooking gz enjoyed cat-calling at us just as we made the find. We left pretty quickly after that. Thanks for the challenging cache!
We saw this one had quite a few favourite points, plus it is around the corner from my former flat so it seemed like a good cache to grab while visiting Dunedin for the weekend. We scratched our heads for a while at GZ. Then we spotted something that didn't make any sense and something that looked like a cache hiding spot. It wasn't where we expected it to be when we arrived at GZ, but sure enough it was the cache. Thanks for putting so much effort into placing a good hide.
Oh goodness what a laugh! This was our second attempt and no way would we have ever got that without a confirming hint from Debsnz. Very very clever!
1.15pm - Arrived at GZ to find phone was all over the place. walked around read description and hint over and over then it clicked, what's that there and sure enough had cache in hand. Made Mr Gap retrieve it though. SLTFTC
I figured where it must be but couldn't see it. So I went for a closer look and managed to find it. It felt like an odd place to sign a log but I really enjoyed this cache. I have been meaning to do this one for ages. Thanks
Found after an unsuccessful lunchtime scout. Came back at 3pm having researched the logs. Super stoked. Super cool
This one is certainly hard, I've looked on 2 occasions and have failed to find it
Now THAT was a doozy! Definitely worthy of another Favourite point...and a nifty one to find with some newbie cachers too...TFTC!
Very awesome cache! Second time round and a few hints from a lovely staff member laughing at us and we got it
Thought I should visit here...as it's had some publicity lately...
Also 80 favorites !
However no joy for me.....
Will return in daylight next visit....

Well I visited several times but I guess I had a bit of tunnel vision. It certainly never crossed my mind to look there. Thanks.
After many years of passing this and thinking yep there it is but not going to get it alone, I got a few people together and added my name to the log. Thanks to everyone who came along and Hevic for first volunteered to take up the search.
Thankfully Natalie had felt pretty much the same as I had about getting this cache. It's such a high muggle zone and feels so invasive to be on church property, that although I knew it was there, I never felt comfortable going in to get it on my own. Trusting in "safety in numbers" a group effort was made after Natalie's Happiness Day event. We all left Hope Street even happier. Thanks for placing this challenging cache.
Finally! I tried and failed to get this one, but JRB5050 succeeded. What a great cache, thanks!
Very nice my first one like this and another favorite to add to the collection TFTC !!!!,
At the CITO event a few caches were recommended to me as they were not the standard 'film container hidden under a bench'. So I decided to visit a few of them.
This cache was actually the closest one to my hostel. I was all by myself at the geozone. After a closer look at the listing and particularly the *(censored)* of the cache it was obvious where I had to look. That type of hide is quite popular in Germany as well. Thus I went for it and my first attempt was a success...

Glad we read the cache page a few times after looking in a few spots where it wasn't. Found a clue and knew what to do. A very clever cache that we are glad we made a stop on our way out of town to find. Recommend this cache to all. TFTC fav point from us.
Been wait for a while for this one to come up. Such a lovely night to go for a walk I planned this one as part of the Ramble for Daywalks cache. This one deserves a favourite as this is my 200 cache also! Great spot. TFTC
I've been waiting for this one to come back to life for a while, as I'd heard of its awesomeness. And it didn't fail to deliver. Without saying any more, it's not something I'd've given a second thought to if I'd not seen one key detail. Glad to be the first name in the fresh cache, cheers!
Have had three unsuccessful attempts to repair. Guwapo will help this week, will be up and in place by he end of next week.
We were hoping to have another shot at this one in a few weeks but looks like we'll miss out if not fixed up.
Sorry - have been away for work prety much since November - this is making a repair tricky.
will try and get a Dunedin based friend to sort.

Cache needs repairs. Will be in Dunedin at the end of the month, will fix then.
First stop on our cruise and our third visit to this fine city. Spent a lot of time here as there were no muggles to be seen. Found nothing. Didin't have the benefit of an up to date PQ.
After about 10 min I had found the location that turned out to be where the cache used to be hidden and I have to say I liked it a lot! Since there was nothing there I spent about 45 min looking almost everywhere else, until I decided to mail the owner. He has confirmed my suspicion that the cache is gone using the pics I sent him.
We had a great time here anyway, no muggles on a quiet Saturday. We were disturbed only by a rain shower.
Thanks for taking us here! Since we probably won't be able to return for a long long time, unfortunately we won't have a chance to see it in action.
All the best from the 2 Austrians!

Have been here before and last night after visiting for the second time decided that a third visit was worth a go. The cache was located just around the corner from our motel and we had two giant teenagers with us willing to help. Alas we were not rewarded with a find. We did however speak to the vicar and he said he felt 'hope' could be easier found in Cromwell at the Presbyterian church. He felt that the cache had gone.
We do hope it is reinstated as it is a very popular cache. We can never have too much 'hope'.

Great cache. Enjoyed the visit, had us thinking for a while and the penny dropped. TFTC
I wont embarrass myself by saying how many visits ive been looking. Got it finally log signed. Tftc Took the TB was going to place another but was too big (With Fire Kitten... who worked out where cache was first up, but was not willing to actually retrieve it). Thanks for this cache.
I was up the road at another church for lunch so a little walk was necessary to cache a couple close by.
