### **OWNER MAINTENANCE REQUESTED PLEASE** ###
----------
G'day there Gonefishen07,
It looks like this cache might need some attention, as one or more seekers have indicated there is some sort of issue. The cache has been [temporarily disabled](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=235), so as to remove it from search listings and discourage people from visiting this location, until the issues/s can be addressed.
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days,** so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication scuttle this listing.
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache to check, repair, replace or do whatever else is needed, Post an [Owner Maintenance log](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating what you have done and that the cache is back as it should be. Then [ENABLE your cache](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) and sit back and wait for the logs of thanks and delight to roll in.
- **Place A Write Note Log::-** Reviewers are not mind readers (unfortunately) , so without a note on the cache page explaining that the site works are on-going, you have been in hospital, the area has been flooded, the cache is in a remote/difficult to access location, or some other reason that has prevented attending to the cache, they can't tell what is going on.
All you need do is to [post a Write Note log](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=234) to the page (within 14 days). **Be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.** When a Reviewer next looks at the listing, all will be fine, for a little bit longer.
**If you have a long term unavailability (where you don't have an actual date), please ensure you visit the page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks, so as to keep everyone up to speed.**
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another geocacher by asking them to [Adopt your cache](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54). [^] Alternatively, you need to [Archive the cache](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56), so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned. [xx(] It would be far better if you decide, so please do something before then.
Please don't send an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Bunjil

Looking at previous logs and how I found it, this definitely needs maintenance. The cache has no logbook, or it was taken out when wet. No magnet, just on ground since August or earlier.
Found one of two mint tins, however no log found inside, on the floor and couldn't find second.
Picture attached of find.

In need of some maintenance, lid missing and log wet and full. Found on ground, replaced in easy spot which will hopefully be dry.

We’ve looked for about half an hour and we cannot find it. Map is inaccurate as it says it’s in the middle of the road. Now I know you can’t be one hundred percent accurate, but I’m assuming that because it’s in a small tin container it was picked up as trash by someone from the council. But anyway, did not find and I don’t think it’s the best location being next to the police station. Nether the less, fun to look for so thanks!
Decided to try and add some more finds and soon had this one in hand thanks to my eagle eyed son. Great to see the old original building. TFTC
Green one. Lovely old Court House. But new police cars outside ! 2 nd of 4 caches in Wonthaggi today as a relative got 3rd vax at Town Hall. Thanks Gonefishen07- over 10 years old this cache location /cache.
Green one. People kept coming to the toilets next door even on this quiet day. Sat down on ground and just tried to not act like a weirdo. Found the green one.
Because this cache hasn't been fully downloaded and completed, navigation was difficult so didn't find cache.
Found it , came into town to get some supplies, couldn't help myself had to find at least one while here. Found it and didn't get caught. Tftc
Found and signed the green one. Didn't stick around to look for the other one. TFTC
Cute little spot, took me longer than I’m proud to admit to find it. Ended up calling my dad just to look less sus whilst I was searching...
We were on a trip on the bikes to Kilkunda and back on the bikes. This was the last cache for the day and we didn't think we would find it until we spotted it nicely tucked away. Thanks,

Yesterday I felt like William Wallace with the restrictions easing and a scream for freedom!
My tent called for some use and with the hot weather I headed here for some beach time!
This cache was found after a mandatory stop at the bakery for breakfast and a little nod to the remembrance ceremony in the park nearby. Thanks for the cache.

Found the green one but only think one is there anyway. Very foggy and wet today so we didn’t want to go far away from the car for caching today. TFTC

Headed out today with beckNmonts and a rough plan was to attend both the events and due to both of us being on strict minimal activity, decided to mostly do caches around town.
We didnt get caught out but did find it odd seeing the 2 girls nearby using the public phone
Many thanks to Gonefishen07 for the cache. TNLN.
Big things are continuing to happen! *Are you joining the fun again in 2020?*

A day out caching, at last! ahomburg and myself were both not at full “capacity” today for caching, so we decided to join forces and find some almost drive by caches we could limp to. As usual, for the area, we found some high quality caches. Thanks for placing the cache Gonefishen07.
I snaffled this one while no one was looking. I can see it would be difficult at busier times. Great spot.
Camped at Dumbalk after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Seventeenth for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Luckily it was all quiet today as we discreetly snooped around for this one. Soon had it in hand. Thanks for the cache
TFTC! After a few unsuccessful attempts at other caches in the area, mainly due to high muggle activity, mrx2 and I were glad to have found this one!

Found with sharkiefan while down in the Wonthaggi area for a couple of events for the day.
(sorry for the late log, just found out that I'd forgotten to log it way back then)

Wandering the streets before most people were awake was an excellent time to find a green container without getting caught out TFTC Gonefishen07
We'd attempted this briefly a while ago while there was temporary fencing around and had backed off because of it. Fencing now long gone, a quick snoop around yielded the cache. Thanks for hiding this one here! 100 hides from you has certainly been surpassed.

Tried in the dark thinking it would be pretty quiet but the boys in blue arrived and thought I looked a little suspicious... which I did one for another day methinks!
Nothing like laying down on the ground at a main road didn't take long to locate colour was green tftc
Timing is all important with this cache, particularly during the tourist season. Tftc.

On a 6 day tour of Victoria with Barnzy12. Taking the red eye over from Perth we managed to visit some great places. The main reason for the travel was the Mega event in Alexandra and the opportunity to find 12 cache types in a day.
We originally travelled to Phillip bay, then up through the country side to Alexandra. Spent a few nights staying high in the snowfields and then moved over to Mt Disappointment. We then ended up back where we started returning the hire car at the airport to fly home.
Some quality caches were found all over the state, great to get a real range of cache sizes with some very large caches compared to what’s available in WA and the range of D/T options so close to each other was a bonus.
Thanks to all the Cache owners for you placements and creativity put into hiding and have awarded a few fav points based on this or the location it bought us too.

In Melbourne with Cravo10 to attend the Mega in Alexandra.
We took the red eye from Perth, leaving at 1am Thursday morning, and departed Melbourne early Tuesday morning, so it was a short five day trip.
We managed to snag a couple of nice stats for the trip. First mega event, 12 cache types in a day, 10 lab caches, 50th large cache find, and most importantly my 10,000th find at Mount Disappointment.
We spent the first day on a caching run from
Melbourne to Phillip Island where we had booked into the local caravan park for the evening. We cached all day chasing down a number of the whereigo and puzzle caches from the CF series, before ending the day caching the extremities of Phillip Island, where we had both never been, an amazing part of this country.
Next morning we cached our way to Alexandra which was the main reason for our trip to Melbourne as we had both never managed to attend a mega, which were hoping to rectify in WA next year! Attended the pre event and managed to get a couple of group FTFs by torchlight which was a real highlight.
Saturday we cached in and around Alexandra all day, chasing numbers, the highlight of the day would have to be the birdbox hides around Alexandra and the multi in Bonnie Doon from that famous TV show, a real nice touch!
Sunday was an epic caching day, chasing down 12 types in a day, which required a couple of huge drives to claim some of the rarer icons around. A huge caching stat which is a very rare feat in the Southern Hemisphere. We finished the day travelling to Mount disappointment where we found Melbourne's 1st cache and then started making a dent in the powertrail, finishing by torchlight.
Our last full days caching was spent at Mount Disappointment to chase some big numbers and with a few caches around the burbs for good measure.
Special thanks to all the wonderful COs around Melbourne for their brilliant caches, and to the mega committee for organising a ripper event, hope to be back next year!

after the bad weather we thought what would brighten our day GEOCACHING this was great thanks gonefishen07
Geohubby grabbed this one really quickly before breakfast this morning. We had tried last night, but it was too dark to find a "Wonthaggi Special". This seems to be a town littered in these tiny pesky things that are impossible to find. After brekkie, we're heading off to collect some numbers rather than lots fruitless searching.... TFTC and the challenging hunt you make each one.
KAKAGA Mark 2: Kate And Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventure is happening again because we're free of children, chores and work! Hurrah! A trip down to the coast was organised with the New Years events and rail trail in mind and ended with a count of: one emergency department visit, one headbutted tree, one muggle asking if we were looking for drugs, endless swarms of flies, many scratches, one sunburned shoulder, one milestone 1000th cache, great meals, good company and 66 caches.
After the night cache, we were heading back to Inverloch for bed and decided that as the town was relatively muggle-free, we'd attempt a couple of the ones in the CBD. This was a lucky candidate and Kato popped her head in the right spot for the find. TFTC Gonefishen07

This weekend marked the second of the much anticipated KAKAGA trips (Kate and Kelly's Amazing Geocaching Adventures). Mummy Short Legs and I were both very excited to be given the opportunity to spend almost two full days together with nothing but a vehicle, our bikes and our GPSs for company. We were not going to let soaring temperatures or bucketloads of flies stop us, we were going to cache our way around the Inverloch/Wonthaggi area till we dropped (or until the geohusbands begged for our return at least!).
We completed a local night cache but despite still being exhausted and filthy from a day of caching and a trip to the hospital for a spider bite not to mention two events we couldn't pass up the opportunity to get a couple more caches from the high muggle areas during the cover of dark. After making sure to look as unsuspicious as possible given the proximity of the law enforcers we took cover and had a hunt. The green option was turned up first and signed. Thanks for the cache GF07

while out in the company of the McLookers cruising around for some caches, while being NYE the town was very quiet making for a nice easy find here today.
Thanks Gonefishen for the cache.
Thanks Gonefishen for the cache.
This afternoons outing kept everyone happy....a random drive to catch Pokemon and stock up on Pokeballs at Pokestops, while I bailed from the car to find caches as we mosied around town.
My first stop was here at the Cop Shop. Luckily I had my very best disguise on (sunglasses and hat) and had actually bothered doing something a little fancy with my hair for once in my life, so surely the police would never recognise me from my vast profile full of mugshots. Thanks to smartphones with reverse cameras!! Gotta love technology. Plucked the cache from its home nice and quickly, signed the log, replaced and whistled nonchalantly as I sauntered away, looking as innocent as an angel.
BTW, I got the GREEN cache today. Thanks GF07

Blimey hope the cops aren't watching, ooops here comes a boy in blue quick put it back and make a speedy getaway tftc
Wow!!!! It was over 4 years ago I logged a dnf on this cache. Time flies. Found the cache where I looked on my last visit confirming my thoughts that it had gone awol last time. Thanks GF07 for keeping it going long enough for me to get the smiley.
Just finished lunch and the Rail Trail when we grabbed a quick find. Love the old Courthouse. Grabbed a green one, log signed and back again. Thanks
YAY - found it today while out on a drive around South Gippsland. Finally I can log this as a "Found It" the last time I had a look, the cache just couldn't be uncovered and I had to DNF . Love the old buildings here, such a great part of Wonthaggi's history. Thanks for your caching efforts Gonefishen07 - the log was signed and my tour of South Gippsland continued
Used the phone on my camera to find it quickly, as the locals in blue were in and out of the neighbouring building and we didn't want to get caught out!
I was caught out while caching so made a beeline for the nearby facilities. Seeing I was so close I thought I'd try finding this again and Bingo! TFTC
They're two different colours why putt it there ? We only found the green one.
Right; time to tick off a couple more tiles on the Country Atlas Challenge and this cache was just what the doctor called for as the first pitstop of the day.
geoD made a quick find on this one and we then made our way down to the markets for some refreshments.

Suscoe was heading home today but luckily we had a reasonably short distance to go and so we still had a good few hours to spend in and around Wonthaggi.
The day started out cloudy with some drizzle but it was mild and as time went by some sun broke through on occasions.
We took in a number of cache sites around the town and along the Rail Trail too.
Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache here.
We visited here early in the afternoon as this morning had been court in session and the area around GZ was packed with both teams and the umpires.
A quick find in a spot completely empty of anyone but us at this time.

Found this cache after the dinner event in Wonthaggi. It was dark, so not sure which log book we signed but it didn't appear to be the one signed earlier in the day. Had to hurry as the cops pulled up. TFTC
