Hello southlandicebergs,Another day, another Cache.Together with Dr Donna travelling through New Zealand. We arrived at Auckland Airport and made our way up north. After visiting Cape Reinga we went on our way South to reach Stewart Island with stops in many different Citys all over the country. Of course we have an open eye for nice Caches but take what we can get. Today we came across your Cache "Pathfinder Home (Southland)" and signed the logbook with our names or took pictures for Virtuals or Earthcaches and answered all questions asked. Its great how many nice spots we are able to discover through our journey and how many of them we only See because of Geocaching! Thanks for bringing us to this place and takeing care for the geocache. Day 4 and the rain has stopped in Dunedin. Nice to see the views as we head out of town. Found with isopeda and Smittengranny on our way south to Bluff and Invergargill. Made it to Bluff and a short bush bash to the old cache. Then into Invergargill for a quick looknaround.Tftc

Today is day four of my whirlwind trip to New Zealand and the Geo Toroa Mega. Caching with Smittengranny and barb2e on the way to Bluff. Beautiful day - quite unlike the forecast. As someone who grew up in church based yourh groups and is now a scout leader I was interested in this. Day 14 of our Enzed adventures with Robmc and we say farewell to Dunedin and head to Invercargill so the fellas can visit the motorcycle museums.Most of the morning was just driving the scenic route with intermittent rain, time constraints and some closures meaning we skipped quite a few caches.After we arrived and the fellas had their fill we toured around town and headed to Bluff for the afternoon until hunger and cold sent us back indoors.Thanks for contributing to the fun

Now that the Mega is over, Isopeda, barb2e and I decided to head south to explore Southland. We are out to get a number and a variety of caches including old ones wherever possible.The weather is certainly much better than in Dunedin. This is one of the caches that we found and signed. TFTC

Day Fourteen of our epic New Zealand Adventure with The Morris.The Mega day today and we spent it traveling from Dunedin to Invercargill.The weather improved this morning, and only occasional shower during our trip.We left early and were in Invercargill by lunchtime.I didn't know about the Pathfinder Home.A quick find in quiet grounds today.Thanks, Robmc.

In Invercargill for a few days for work, an excellent opportunity to extend my southernmost cache. All quiet at GZ, and the roses not too bushy, so a nice quick find. Tftc!

Real easy find

We are in Invercargill for just one day before heading to Stewart Island with friends and family tomorrow so we grabbed a cheap rental and hit the adlabs and any trads we found along the way. Great weather and lots of fun exploring Invercargill today. Thanks to all the COs.

My time in Invercargill visiting my son and attending the Burt Munro event is quickly coming to an end so today was a day of geocaching with my son. A quick find as described. Mystery at the museum, Marks frog and voodoo tramp visited this cache. Thank you for the cache.

Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 57 - Invercargill, Southland - Te Anau, Fjordland, South Island, Nov Zland (asi 250 km) Uvtalo m slunen rno a 15C a motorki vude kolem. Southern Scenic Route je zejm vyhledvan nejen turisty. Po sndani jsem polovila pr keek ve mst a stavila se v zednsk li na WC a pak jela do Bluff, nejjinjho msteka Jinho ostrova. Tady cesta kon a zem taky. Dl se d jen lod na mal ostrovy patc jet k Zlandu a pak u jen na Jin pl. Na konci silnice byla keka Konec zem a tu jsem nemohla vynechat. Bylo tu mraky lid a hlavn tch motork, ale ke byla schovan v zeleni pmo na pobe, tak probhla trocha akrobacie po pobench kamenech a mm ji. Dal dleit ke byla naopak na kopci nad obc, kde je mal rozhledna. A nahoru se jede autem, ale star ke z ledna 2001 je pkn schovan ve velmi vzrostl zeleni, take opt boj s prodou. Ale nebylo to tak hrozn jako na Mt. Cargill. Vrtila jsem se do Invercargill, nakoupila v pekrn sladk i slan kole a toasty a vyrazila na dal st Southern Scenic Route, kter vedla jet kus po pobe Southlandu a pak se stoila do vnitrozem a dojela jsem u do oblasti Fjordland. Taky se hned na obzoru objevily docela vysok hory. Ne jako ty zaoblen zelen kopeky, co byly dosud vude kolem, ale masvn piat skalnat hory. Cel den bylo ndhern kolem 17C a slunce a v horskm dol pak naveer a 21C. Proda vude krsn. Jela jsem kolem nkolika jezer a mokad, pes ky, kde jsou jednoproud mostky, i mal osady a provoz tu byl u minimln. Cestou jsem lovila keky a dky nim navtvila teba starou kolu z 19.stolet i pkn star etzov most. Do Te Anau u velkho jezera jsem dojela a po 19.hodin, nakoupila vodu a colu, odlovila 2 keky a jela na motel. Je to m dl t po celm dni jet veer zalogovat keky a nachystat si dal na cestu. Jsem u docela unaven a potebovala bych asi dal tden nkde na tropickm ostrov, ale na to u nezbv as. Cestovn je prost krsn dina.In the morning I found a few caches in the city and then went to Bluff to the land end and to get an old cache on the hill. Again, a bit of a struggle with nature, but not so terrible. If you hit the right path, it works. Then I continued along the Southern Scenic Route around the coast and caches and reached the lake in Te Anau in Fjordland. Along the way, I saw a lot of beautiful places like the old chain bridge or the old school. I had a nice day. Thanks to everyone for the caches and greetings from the Czech Republic.

On our way through New Zealand we reached Invercargill. After a while we looked for the center where we looked for a geocach. And we were lucky, thanks for laying CO. With warm geocach greetings from the Netherlands

First find

Caching with Gabby59 in Invers for the day, a great day for it as all the shops were closed and there were no muggles to ruin our fun, cache was quickly right where it said it would be, signed and returned TFTC

We are on our long-awaited journey around the world in 99 days. Second try after canceling in 2020.
Our third stop after Los Angeles and Hawaii is New Zealand.

This time was of course used to find some geocaches here.
Today we were searching for the Traditional **Pathfinder Home (Southland)**.

Thank to the Hints and the good coordinates the little box was found quickly!
After signing the logbook there is a new smile on our geocaching map!

At least we would like to take this opportunity to thank **southlandicebergs** for creating and maintaining this Traditional.

Day 9 of our tour around the South Island. This one was too close to our parked car to just miss. We wandered over and after a quick search we found what we came looking for. TFTC and bringing us here.
