This will be offline for a few weeks due to some works by Albury City Council and new container required to be made.
This was a fun wander around a well kept botanical gardens.I beelined to here when my bus came in (after first dropping my turtle shell at the library) For what I'd hoped was my first cache in Albury. Coords led me entirely elsewhere so wandered down to check out the hovell tree and the multi there, after an embarrassingly long time I slunk away from there as well. Why do I persist in multis The co had righted my slight by then so I detoured around to my new gz. Again no luck. Sigh.Ok let's go find a traditional then.
Too good for us. Lots of conflicting messages in logs. Don't even know if in correct spot. Next to a bridge.
I cannot for the life of me work out the coordinates? Do you count how many letters in the word to get the numerical coordinate? That could have been made clear. The coordinates I got take me to 25km west of Albury. Gardens are lovely though.
Found with barb2e and SmittenGranny on a not too hot Sunday afternoon. Found once we disregarded the hint. *Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
Having spent the morning with CIA, Canberra Invasion of Albury group, finding and logging numerous caches, this afternoon I joined up with Isopeda and barb2e. It felt as if we were going in circles for a good part of the time as we finished ALs, their bonuses and even managed a mystery or two. It was a hot morning and no cooler this afternoon. Now that I have finished for the day it is good to be able to relax and catch up with the logging. Thanks to my friends from Canberra and other parts for contributing to a most successful day. Also to all the COs without whom we wouldn't be able to play this fun game. All logs have been signed.
#2582A nice multi to have a rest stop as Im driving back to Sydney after a 2 day visit. Found gz ok but took a little longer to find the prize.TFTC
Im not sure whats wrong with some cachers these days who think its ok to steal other cachers containers. In play since 2011, 61 favourites and someone else thought they needed the camo more. Thanks to Beavar for alerting us.
Second times the charm.Went to the wrong Coords the first time because I looked at the wrong paragraph in A. Also, as Im on the caching app I didnt know about the checker. With the 2 fixes found GZ. Hint is really off though. Change container?!?Anyway, TFTC and SL at 16:20pm. Popped a pathtag in there too.
Not sure what I did wrong here.
Came to go the the Event, get sidetracked by this cache…got the wrong coords! Went back to the park to say hi…gardens are locked. Not good.

TFTC! Came with my Geocaching buddy to the Botanic Gardens and one of the numbers could have been one of two options. We rolled the dice and found it first go
I started on this cache while on my drive home from Rutherglen.
Collected the required information in the rain. I couldn't get the checker to agree with me.
Looking forward to solving at home and returning to the area.

Out and about again, exploring from Cooma to Rutherglen trying grab as many LGA’s before getting back to a 4pm event in Jindabyne. Plenty of driving and windy roads.
Found a variety of hides and in different areas which made for a nice day. Generally quick finds today
Thanks to all the CO’s for the hides I found.

In Albury today and while the wife was at an appointment myself and little miss went for a wander around the Botanical Gardens. Majority of our time was spent at the dinosaur park. After that we set out to collect the required info to calculate GZ. All straight forward, the tree in the last location has certainly grown up since this cache was placed!
On our approach to GZ I spotted something unusual.. Sure enough on closer inspection it held the cache. A nice hide! blends in very well. FP awarded.

A challenge for our first Cache but lots of fun! Certainly had to be determined to find it. Could use a new bit of paper to record on next time someone goes hunting for this one!

This was one of my favorite caches of the day. We loved the walk through the botanical gardens and the kids obviously loved the kids garden. We collected the clues and did the math. I wasn't too confident that we found all the correct information, but we decided to head over to gz. I was stunned to spot the very cleverly crafted container. This one earns a FP from us. TFTC!

Absolutely loved this cache! Enjoyed walking around finding all the coordinates with The Teddies. Absolutely amazing cache container and great hiding spot!
After a long day of driving i thought I would come for a wander. A checker would have been good as my Co-ords have me 455m away.
Not for me today
Not for me today
Grabbed the required info while enjoying this beautiful location. Plugged in the coords and went for the short walk to GZ. TFTC
A Favourite point for this cache!
Loved the well constructed and sneaky container… not too sneaky for us though, but very clever!
We also enjoyed wandering around the magnificent gardens.
Though we were stumped on the first photo as there are 2 plaques… top and bottom. Our co ords were confirmed with a PAF
It’s the top one which matters.

TFTC. Day 10 of our enforced layover in Albury as the Motorhome gets repairs. Hoping this would be the last day here, but apparently the Motorhome has other ideas.
I (Hans) had started this cache a couple of years ago while Linda was having a shoulder op in the hospital opposite. On the day to pick her up I was early so managed the first 5 waypoints and then the call to pick her up. So it has been languished partially completed . Today we were in the mood to finish unfinished business. Quickly got the last WP and off to the recalculated GZ. We scratched about and then the AHA moment. Great finish to a great cache. FP from us

This cache was found today and brings our overall cache find tally to 11000.
This one was started a long time ago and finished off this week. It was completed tonight after having dinner with the CO and having a great chat. The last 1000 caches have taken 3.5 years but always nice to celebrate a milestone on a cool cache. A favourite point from me!
Thanks haveanez for the cache.

Worked out the information to this one about a month ago. Didn’t have time for the cache at the time. Back today and all is quiet at GZ. Took a little bit to locate, but soon realised something was out of place, thanks for this cache that has stood the rest of time!!

To celebrate my birthday, Mrs. Dozzie and I drove down from Sydney to Albury to spent a few days exploring the area, including Rutherglenn, Beechworth and Yackandandah. Of course a few caches had to be added to the program, including a few along the Hume highway.
This must be my favourite cache I did this weekend. The weather was beautiful, the sunlight dappled the autumn coloured leaves of the trees and I walked around collecting the answers which each of the waypoints. Unfortunately I could not find waypoint F, but as it was the least significant digit in the coordinate I just assumed a number.
Once I had all points, it was a short drive to the final location. A very original, well camouflaged box was found.
TFTC and well worth a favourite point!

Too good for us. That last one is tricky. Had a good GZ but no luck today. Next time.
I 'solved' this more than a year ago but was clearly looking in the wrong spot. I messaged the CO who gave me a nudge but the events of 2020 meant I wasn't back in the area until now. With some more help from the CO, I set out with the right coordinates and made a find after a short search. Great container, very well done - and an enjoyable stroll through the gardens to get the required information. A favourite from me - thank you
A beautiful day at the Botanical gardens in Albury. Not many muggles around so it was easy to have a look around. A squeal from Jackez74 was not from the excitement of finding the cache but from the Huntsman that scared her TFTC
Lovely spring time stroll in the Botanic Gardens, looking fantastic as usual. Very quiet there. Experience helped us again to find the final cache at GZ. Very clever hide. TFTC
Matho64 and I crossed over the border with out permits and masks to solve this puzzle.
I enjoyed walking around the beautiful botanical gardens. Admiring all the trees, statues and colourful flowers.
Sat down and worked out the coordinates and found GZ.
A lovely huntsman spider greeted me on the cache, lucky no muggles around to hear me scream. A quick and easy find. TFTC

Dalerious and the ILT team decided to go to NSW today and see how the other side live. It was very strange seeing people with faces!
ILT had the coords for this one sitting on the solved pile since before Covid.
Great hide.
Thanks Haveanez.

Found with ILookedThere streaking through Albury with naked faces.
Mr ILT had sorted the numbers needed for this one before covid, but we all enjoyed the meander to GZ and banding together to discover the cleverly concealed, cache container found clean, dry and in good condition.
TFTC haveanez. Big naked smiles from all of us.

Found on Monday morning as with picked up some solved caches we had yet had time to grab.
Down in the borderlands for a weekend of bike riding and kayaking the cache trails with the mob from canberra.... well minus the riding and paddling.. us injured folk and our drivers (GLISS!) are instead exploring the district by car!! Such a beautiful place to visit. Thanks so much to everyone who has placed caches in the region for us to explore. Thanks for the cache!

Found with nibletricecakes on the last day of a long long weekend away. A very well constructed puzzle and container. Thanks for the fun.
Solved a week ago when I visited the gardens and checked my coordinates with the owner before making the long walk from my hostel to GZ.
Good hiding place, took a bit of struggling to get the lid of when I had CIH.

Well, I am definitely guilty of overthinking this one. A misunderstanding and a DNF last time really didn't help me, decided to phone a friend who said what I thought it might be, I decided to have a look and to my pleasant surprise the cache AFL quickly found
Very enjoyable walk thru the Botanic Gardens, viewing some very exotic plants (Senegalese Date Palm!) & solving clues with GeoWifey (Let Them Eat Cache). Solved, then off to GZ where GeoWifey came up with the goods. TFTC haveanez.
A beautiful wander through the gardens, picking up clues along the way. A shortish ramble away saw me & Caches_High scratching our heads on whether we had the right co-ords, whilst dodging muggles. A previous photo log helped in uncovering the cache. TFTC haveanez!
Like a lot of people I loved the botanic wander but I was sure I’d got the final GZ wrong but bingo there it is! Back in Albury and out with a buddy for the early morning dog walk and I says to her - hey there’s a cache here somewhere. Certainly a solid well constructed container! TFTC
Finally. Third time lucky on this one. We weren't going to let it beat us. Excellent camo which kept us thinking between muggles. Spotted by my geo daughter groover1989.
My first mystery cache done, after having a few days off decided to come back to this one. Very well done. Found with catnap777
Thanks to the CO for getting back to me overnight. I was back in Albury for 1 night only and really wanted to finish this great cache. I really enjoyed the gardens they are so peaceful and even though I found all the objects in the photographs, I found I was confusing the words and over complicating things. Possibly because of one thing written on one set of instructions. A could also be 2 different possibilities. In the end , my GZ's were all over the place and I was certain I was wrong. The CO kindly put my fears aside and confirmed something I thought might be wrong, so this morning before heading home to Sydney I made my way to GZ and what a great spot this was. The cache is amazing, very cleverly camoed and crafted.
walked around the park a while ago but ran out of time to get the cache. love the cache alot of effort put into it tftc
With the geotoddler in tow I parked at the pool and walked over to the gardens. We strolled around gathering the clues and the geotoddler had a nice time smelling flowers, chasing birds and looking for bugs. We had a picnic lunch under a shady tree while I sorted out the coordinates and then we were off again to make the find. Luckily there were no muggles at GZ and the cache was soon in hand. It was then time to head home and put the toddler down for a well earned nap. Thanks for the tour and the cache
I walked around the gardens yesterday gathering the clues but I over complicated working out the answers. A msg to the CO who replied very quickly had us on the right track. Beaut container and cache get a FP from me. Many thanks
Thanks to weirdobiker we found this cache. I had thought we weren’t going to find it.
After nearly giving up and thinking the co it’s must be out I spotted the nicely camouflaged gz
After a pleasant stroll we had the required coords and trolled GZ and soon had the cache in hand

We enjoyed wandering around the gardens to find the answers to the puzzle. We had trouble with question A as there seemed to be 2 possible answers-we wondered if the passage referred to is the one on the actual monument or is it the one below the monument on the plinth. We went with the higher text and it must have been correct as we found the cache!
We also had trouble finding the tree in the photo for part F, so decided to split the possible numbers. This must have also been close enough as our workings had us a short walk away in a really logical place to hide a cache.
The hide itself was one we love finding. A well designed and constructed 'in your face camo' that beautifully blended into its surroundings. Congratulations on both an interesting puzzle to solve and a great hide. A fav from us for both lots of work.

Have had this one on my agenda for a while - just needed the time to get the answers (would have taken geohound but dogs not permitted in the gardens).
Yesterday day was the opportunity with youngest child at a birthday in the dinosaur garden. Quickly gathered up the clues (knew where most were already) but clue A potentially had two answers. Plugged both into the GPS and then headed to the more likely of the two.
Spent longer at the GZ than gathering clues, knew it was there and well camouflaged just had no luck looking. Decided to give up after 15 minutes with plan to contact CO for confirmation I was at the right site.
Got home and a bit more pondering realised I was over complicating the hide. Went for a lunch time (needed one today and thought the rain would keep others away) and had the cache in hand within 30 seconds.
Thanks for putting this one in place, and everyone should come and see Albury's fantastic gardens - bring your kids!

We did enjoy doing this multi cache and after finding out from Co re which memorial plaque was the right one on one of them we headed for GZ and fortunately we were able to park within 40 metres of GZ. Took a while to find the well camoed cache in its excellent hiding spot - some colours do blend in so well indeed! No problems with muggles this am. This cache was very well planned and implemented and it was certainly enjoyable walking around the beautiful Botanical Gardens as we did this cache. Our friend enjoyed visiting the gardens with us this am and seeing all those magnificent huge trees from so many different country and she was so amazed at the wonderful Children's Playground that had been well planned for the children to be safe and enjoy all the different variety of things they can do there.
TFTC haveanez and placing it in these beautiful gardens so cachers can enjoy seeing them as well as their friends.

Took a tour around the gardens earlier with muggle hubby and after several visits to one plaque (how long can one man mow one lawn?) and some over-thinking got co-ordinates which seemed plausible. Today was a perfect day for a cache tour around Albury and checking this was one on my list. Sure enough the cache was soon in sight but took me a while to retrieve it because of muggles. Done and dusted, a very nice mystery this was and my first one in Oz! TFTC and greetings from Finland!
My first mystery!! It was a long time between finding the coordinates and actually making it to GZ but I got there in the end. TFTC
5794. found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1245. Decided that today we would head to Albury and surrounds to find a couple of the multis and a mystery or 2 about the district. What a great day to wander the gardens in Albury. We started in the middle and worked anti clock wise to find the various pieces of information. The walks and plant life are all in top condition today. Worked out gz and went for a stroll to find the container. As we arrived about the right location a Blue-tongue lizard was sunning itself beside the path. Looked for some time with no success and decided to phone the CO for a little help. Got the call back about 15 minutes latter and said not to worry as we had container in hand. Had a catch up chat and then SL Tnx haveanez and a favourite from us.
Overnight stay last night in Albury on the way thru to some rural gigs this weekend and out grabbing a few random GCs where I can. Lovely morning location, well constructed task, then another lovely location, and a cool hide in the end. These are my fave caches! Thus fave point for you, haveanez. Dropped my "PN on tour" PT (one of only 50) please log it if you lift it cheers!

Do you know when you have a cache that has driven you nuts for so long, well this is it for me. I first started this around a year ago when I was down in the gardens. I had the coordinates and started looking that day. My coords were completely wrong and don't know where I stuffed up but anyway sorted that and have now been to look at GZ a total of 6 times now. A few I couldn't find, a few I got muggled and a few were riding lessons for the kids so we didn't get much of a chance.
Anyway today was the day I finally added this to my smiley collection. Thanks Haveanez

Found with theredfox. Already had coords but based on clue we figured we were way off, while collecting info again, we noticed a lot of muggles, they were doing Pokemon Go, I was multiskilling doing both myself. Found fellow cacher, visitor from Sydney, he had same solve so we figured we can't be too far off so had a look, took a while but theredfox soon found. It was no where near original coords like clue suggests :S swaps & signed than replaced!

My son has spent the week at the Border Music Camp, so we decided to have a long weekend and drive down from Sydney to pick him up. Today was my daughter's ninth birthday, so we started the day at an indoor play centre, but after lunch we persuaded her to go to the Botanical Gardens - lovely! I enjoyed finding the various objects (which corresponded to important objects in Pokemon Go, which was entertaining about 80% of the visitors to the park ), and the kids particularly enjoyed the children's section.
I calculated the GZ co-ords, which surprised me. This surprise must have been obvious, as some "muggles" asked me if I had found the other cache in the garden - nice to meet you, sarah8628 and thereredfox! We had a bit of a geochat, confirming that we had calculated the same GZ, before parting company.
We then went to GZ, where I made a quick find, so signed the log, replaced the container then headed on my way. TFTC

A mini mission for the weekend was planned to head down to Albury/Wodonga area for a caching weekend with one party of the FurfacesLL ladies. We had organised to stay with a fellow cacher in Albury while we ran a muck around the town collecting caches.
After arriving in town, and unpacking the geomobile in Albury, we headed out for some more caching. This is one that was on the "solved/unfound" list so off we went for the find. Took us a little while to locate the cache and we got ourselves into compromising positions that almost resulted in unwanted injuries lol. I got stuck behind a fence which I had issues getting back over as the tips of my shoes wouldn't grip into the fence holes..... eventually I got back over it lol.
Cache eventually located, signed and replaced and we were on our way again.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache placement haveanez

One of the landmarks isn't there anymore.. We tried to guess the answer but couldn't get anywhere we'd describe as a short walk away, maybe we had some of the other views wrong as well. It's a lovely spot though, and we had a very pleasant walk at the beginning of a hot day. TFTC.
Find #2 of 5 caches found for the day
Well it was a beautiful sunny Sunday and after a browse of the Albury markets the time was right for a little caching however the loading of the GPS didn't go as planned so only had access to some of the caches through puzzle solving and printing of a few multi's so a very unorganised day which turned out to be a great day all the same.
This was number 2 for a day which saw 5 caches found along with a beginning of something bigger but that is for another night.
This is one mystery I am glade to have been able to complete as mysteries go this was a nice multi without the extra waypoints. Only one of the images gave me any proble but that was because I had been at this location before playing ingress and all the other images are used in that game however onto the topic at hand finding the necessary informaiton ecept for F which was the image that 1. didn't print real well 2. wouldn't display probly on the phone app and 3. was one that I could not determine from my printed copy however a stroll around this wonderful example of botanic sampels soon revealed the object in question.
After obtaining the required information for the locations in the park we retreated to the GeoMobile to do the necessary calcualtions that soon reveiled the final locaiton of this Botanic Wander (wonderful Place) and it was of to GZ to retrieve a nicelly water proof container holding the Log both securly and dry keeping it in good contition. (well constructed and thoughtfull hide) Signed and returned to the location from which it was retrieved.
Thanks haveanez for this different approach to caching.
The total count for the day was 5 consisting 3 Multi and 2 Mystery
Grand Cache count = 46 total consisting of 38 Traditionals, 6 Multi and 2 Mystery

After a good night sleep and entering day2 of our trip up here OzHockeyCHick and i spotted this little beauty on the radar.
This park is absolutely awesome and is a very interesting walk about . Lots of things to read and lots of things to look at.
We gathered the information and calculated the final in which after a 10 min search we noticed the not quite right but very well camo'd item and guilty it was of being a cache container....WELL DONE....

Thought we'd got the wrong coordinates for sure but trusted our answers and we came up trumps! Found with tasie devil tftc!
Had a great time wandering around looking at all the information for this one! After collecting all info required we went for a lovely stroll. Geodad saw this one almost straight away and commented on how much he really liked the container! Thanks for taking us back to the botanic gardens haveanez, we love it here, although don't get here enough!
We wandered around the park, searching for the images - took us much longer than it should have.
It was a warm day, but very pleasant in the beautiful gardens.
A very good hide at the end, which we found after a short search. Worth a favourite point from us.
Many thanks for placing this cache, haveanez, for us and others to find.

Awesome cache Loved the explore around the gardens and the hide was great. TFTC!
The gps was playing up, it was hot and I was getting annoyed.
I was just about to give up when I gave it one last go and looked right at it.
Thank you for a fantastic walk around the Botanic Gardens and a really well made cache hide.

Solved this some time ago but took the opportunity while out with visiting geo family grabbing a few caches, to enjoy a walk in the gardens. Found this nice little hide after waiting out walkers in the area. Thanks haveanez for a most enjoyable cache.
Out with some geo family today and decided to try this one while we were visiting the gardens. We wandered about and grabbed the co ord's and after some quick maths headed off to the GZ. With a bit of a search in between passing muggles I spotted a well hidden cache. We signed the log and returned it safe and sound for the next cacher. TFTC haveanez, enjoyed this one greatly and the hunt to grab the clues was fun. A great cammo also. Worth a fave.
