Interesting! This week there were some warnings for Southern California about possible earthquakes, and I couldn't help but think about how we vacationers are probably pretty vulnerable because we just don't deal with the tsunami threat every day. Thanks for this informative cache.

Awesome information. A favorite. Touring downtown Honolulu with Mrs. Captain Picard following the cache trail. She has sent our answers.

#5054 - 08:55; I visited GZ yesterday and gathered the available information there and thereabouts. Did some further research this morning and discovered that I'm staying in an evacuation area, so this exercise helped me to prepare should the siren sound while I'm visiting. For those of us that don't live near the ocean, the subject of a tsunami doesn't come up often. Like earthquakes, hurricanes, and tornados, it is a reminder how difficult mother nature can be sometimes. An enlightning yet troubling cache. Thanks for the experience!

This was the one cache that I found farthest from my hotel, just can't pass up on an Earthcache. Thanks for placing, email on it's way.

What an incredible time I had with StickMaMud, visiting the area. The sights, the sounds, the people and the fun times.
More fun, and a favorite, with the added safety feature of having investigated where our hotel was located and the very informative cache page. Thanks for both...

With elderly mom so can't do all the details, but this is cool as my husband runs the tsunami program in Alaska, and I want this find noted to bring him back here. Thanks!

Short walk from my hotel on Olohana street . Interesting and slightly scary to think of a 50 foot wave rolling through here.

Mrs. J3Y and I were going to dinner but not without doing this fun cache! I learned that what I thought is a safe zone isn't! Yikes! Gracias por el cache!

Arrived in the morning from NZ and wanted to get a cache today.

Nipped out to do this one before a nice meal at the Hard Rock cafe round the corner.

Not a great deal to see as it was dark but enough to appreciate the importance of knowing what to do in the event of a tsunami and also the different actions to take depending on how much time you have before the tsunami hits land.

Answers sent to the CO.

Another one done. Woo Hoo! I love the challenge of the geocache hunt - read the notes, decipher the cache requirements, and go searching for the hide. This is an amazing world-wide game of hide and seek. I love it! I also enjoy caching with my family, and meeting fellow cachers. It really is a small world when I read over cache logs. **Thanks go to NakoTacoPatrol** for placing this cache and maintaining it. It's a great contribution to the Geocaching community and much appreciated.

I enjoyed finding this one at 8:12:34 PM.
TFTC! Cheers. *Jump Pilot* Cool

Great cache! Will email details shortly. We found this cache to be quite informative and we think this is a lesson that will stick with us. We had a little debate about whether trees survived tsunamis. This cache was our last stop after the coffee house breakfast and before boarding our moving hotel around the islands.. Loved having it in walking distance. Thanks for the valuable lesson

(4627) Nearest cache to our hotel - just 80m from balcony. I was a bit surprised that there is nothing on GZ, but after reading listing it is clear.
Thanks for the cache.

First cache in Hawaii!! Visiting the island for work and hope to have some additional time for caching and hiking, but wanted to make sure to earn a smile as soon as possible! Only 3 States left to complete all 50. Thanks for the lesson on tsunamis, it's not really something we think about in the mainland. Message sent with answers.

Were on Ohau and on Kauai two weeks on vacation together with FLPirate and TheWench . Beneath beach, sun, and sightseeing we spend a lot time in geocaching. We saw so many great spots and had so much fun.
Thanks to our friends from Florida who picked out all these nice caches.

Found on my recent holiday to Oahu. Had a great time and really enjoyed the caching and lots of other activities. Had this cache in my sights right from my first view of the island's caches. Beaut spot and I learned a lot - can't imagine what it would be like if this place is hit by a tsunami. Answers have been submitted. Great cache - gets a FP from me Smile

My first USA cache and my first Hawaiian cache. The information on the listing is very educational, I actually did find tsunami warning info in my hotel's room guide. Visiting from Australia, thanks for the cache, answers sent Smile

Now I know what those objects are. I have spotted a couple more since. I wouldn't have known what they were before this challenge. I have been aware of the Tsunami possibility is other places I have visited, but for some reason I never thought of it here, but this has made me more aware. I emailed my answer. I added this to my favourites for the education lesson.
