Was hoping for some factory sales to the public. Nice and easy park and grab TFTC
Found It!A quick find here in the dark (and the rain). Never knew this is where Milo was made. I wonder why they choose to make it here?TFTC
Swiss guys on our Australian trip . After travelled from Darwin to Perth over the GRR, now on the Eastcoast .Starting from Cairns, Port Douglas, Airlie Beach, Platybus Camp and Bush Camp Broken River, Graignesh, Maryborough, South Nanango, Noosa and now in Brisbane .On our way in bad weather conditions, we made a short stop at Urunga for a breakfast (high peak of the day ).Next stop was in South West Rocks, then Gladstone .After the LAB'a we could get this one, also luckily with a short stop of rain .Just beneath a originally swiss company .TFTC# 18'069
My GPS was playing up but I eventually reached the correct location and the cache, not very hidden and visible from some distance. Thanks for the hide.
This is a small little facility to be the birthplace of such a well known Aussie icon.We found the cache without any troubles. Thanks for the cache!
Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. Staying in Kempsey only 2 nights, today was planned around finishing the Monopoly series and visiting Smithtown, Gladstone and Crescent Head.Managed to grab a yummy pie and sausage roll at Crusty's bakery in Gladstone. Didnt try the cakes but they also looked yummy. Weather was kind to us today. [^]Mrs Felix was collecting the info for the AdLab here and got invited into reception to see some historical packaging (stuff we grew up with LOL. She told the staff we were from WA and completely surprised to come around the corner and find so many cars here.) Stunned to learn that staff drive here every work day from as far as Port Macquarie. Meanwhile Mr Felix was making a find of this cache and wondering where Mrs F had disappeared to. TFTC Team_Gnome
I know that this area has always had a strong dairy industry but it's hard to believe that this town was and, in this era of globalisation, still is the home of Milo.A straightforward find while in town to do the AL that has been published since I was last in this part of the world.Normally, when I drive to or from Qld, I do it in a day or so, making just a few selected caching stops or detours along the way. This trip is, however, a much more leisurely one ... I'm taking 3 full days to get to the Gold Coast and I'm on day 2.Thanks for placing this cache which is in OK condition.
On the hunting trail with Liz & Bruce on 2023 Christmas adventure. Quick find here. Another great day for caching. TFTC Team_Gnome
Amazing little old town in the river bend. I had no idea the factory was here. Never been to Smithtown but had to stop in on the way back to Kempsey for the evening. Quick one to find. Thanks.
Hard to believe this small town is the home to MILO. Expected a Milo tin, but alas! Wee bit smaller. Tftc found last year, sitting in my drafts!
As soon as I heard Milo was made here I had to see it for myself. Like the Vegemite factory in Melbourne, this was just one of those places as an Australian, I'm drawn towards like a moth to a flame. So when we were in Gladstone chowing down on their great pies, I suggested popping over here for a squiz and possibly also hunt down this cache.Awesome trees nearby. Had a big run with the dog here after. Thanks for hiding a cache here! Now please replace it for a milo tin.
Thanks for bringing me here Team Gnome. I must check and see if they have a shop open to the public Yum Yum!! All good with the cache. TFTC
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Today I was grabbing some of the hides along the way, as I meandered to Macksville.
Stopped off here and was suprised about this little town and also this big employer. As a kid I loved Milo and as we had a Nestle factory near where I grew up, at Denninton, we got a lot to enjoy. Great to see it is still poplular. It was a quick find at GZ, just as a shower of rain went through.
Thanks Team_Gnome for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Came by here for the adventure lab, which of course meant I couldn't leave without getting this traditional too!
The find was fairly straightforward, but the camo around the cache seems to have become home to a thousand small critters, some of which I inadvertently retrieved with the container. I knelt on one knee and used the other as a surface to work on while I unsealed it, only to see about 5 tiny cockroaches run out onto my thigh! I squealed, stood up, and slapped everything away all at once... and once I was sure my leg was unoccupied, had to search for the cache in the long grass!
Luckily there were no further occupants on or in the cache, and I was able to sign the log without further incident. On returning the cache I peered into the hide and saw dozens of slaters. So fair warning to the next finder!
TFTC!

Wow! Who would’ve thought this factory was here.
What a year Sandyofthesea and I have had. We kitted out the Prado and took off from Perth, Western Australia at the start of April 2022 to travel more of Australia using geocaching as a guide to see the sights. We started with the Nullabour, Eyre and York Peninsulas, the Riverlands, visited family in Victoria and then back in SA it got cold. Flinders and the Oodnadatta Track was amazing and we finally warmed up in Dalhousie Springs. The Alice beckoned and then a change of plan and we ended up tackling the Tanami Track to the Kimberley and Bungles Bungles. Territory Day in Darwin was unhinged - please try and do it! The Gulf, the coast and the car breaker ‘Old Tele Track’ to the top of Cape York. This is a must but it’s not easy! Eventually made it to Brisbane to get some fixes to the car….. let’s see where we end up.

An easy find, introducing bro-in-law to geocaching, after a sumptuous and highly recommended high tea at The Old Bank in Gladstone. Tftc
Day two of our girls caching weekend road trip to Kempsey to attack the Slim Dusty GeoArt. The amusing thing is we still hadn't attempted one by the time it was to head home again! Willis007 and I really enjoy the places we find while caching and always make time for an AL, Wherigo, Virtual or interesting multi. This was a quick find. Thankyou
We stopped here to start the AL and of course needed to find this one. We both loved Milo as kids, ironically now both being coeliacs we no longer are able to enjoy it.
Cache was quickly found. Log signed and all replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Team_Gnome.

Nice hide! Found after a relaxing lunch at the hotel, thank you for the cache! : )
Brings back memories of a family friend who used to work at the Milo factory and we would get seconds tins of Milo from him when were on holidays. Tftc
Found while up from the south coast looking for a new home. Thankyou for the cache
We found it interesting to visit this town. Found room to sign on a half-used page. TFTC Team_Gnome.
Amazing spot right on the river! My neighbour used to work here and commute from Port daily. He always had a steady supply of free Milo and Nesquik for my kids TFTC
Revisited 12/8/20 Dropped of TB The " BIKE" someone may like to take it for a ride..
Came to check on this cache as I couldn't see a smiley on the map.!! signed log a visit also took a couple of TB's and also spotted another couple..Thanks Team Gnome [ just a note that the log book is full]
This is definitely getting a fav point from me, I cannot believe that this factory produces our Milo and I would not have know about it other then caching. A very quick find but even now I am thinking wow. TFTC
Thanks for the nice easy one. Haven’t been here before. Nice picnic and bbq area by the river.
This cache was found and signed on 29/1/2020 but was never logged on,!! Opps sorry Team Gnome ......
Dont think the DT is reflective of the cache but whatever. I like Milo in my afternoon coffee. The parkland would have been a nice place for my late lunch except for the 4 young kids riding their trail bikes around .
I can’t believe how the GPS took me straight to it! Looking at the factory there’s a nice seating deck with tables and chairs and umbrellas. Anyone for hot chocolate (Milo of course)??Thanks for bringing me here. And for the cache.
Got a parking spot right in front of this one but unfortunately there was a muggle in the car next to us who would have been looking straight at us as we searched.
Luckily he didn't stay too long - perhaps he sensed the negative vibes we were sending his way!!!!
A quick find right next to a place we support well.
Was this the factory that had the fire a week or two back???
Couldn't see any signs of a fire though.
Thanks.

hatzofff and I are in Kempsey for a few days caching with Snickersallan. We stopped by to check out your cache .
Upon first sight we thought it would be full of wood lice, but after dislodging it, it is in good order.
Log signed and cache replaced as found at 7:20 pm on 18 March 2019. TFTC, Team_Gnome.

We have headed south a few weeks early to have a little holiday prior to attending the Oz Geomuster Mega event. We have found ourselves based in Port Macquarie for a few days which has enable us to spend some time exploring some of the nearby towns.
Today, we took a drive out toward Kempsey to explore the area and find a few caches while we were here [^] We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way
Thank you Team_Gnome for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy
