Logs
Found after Mrs B collected a tree branch with her head. Cache log couldnt be written on but took photo for cache owner
A quick weekend adventure away with some of the Team SEAC crew..ahhh its been so long since we did this!!Final cache for the day and nice quick find. Container no longer has a lid and since it was placed right way up the log was mush. We have put a new log and bag and placed it upside down so hopefully it will last a little bit container really needs a replacement. Thanks for the cache.
A small group of us from team SEAC (Keylev, Stik-a-crane & Uncle Sam) came down this way for the weekend. Neat to have walks like this so close to town. With intel from the campground owner about walking times we decided we could easily do this before dusk. A quick find with a sodden log in a very rusty container. I added a new log in a new bag. Signed SEAC to save space. TFTC.
Nice wee hide here...Was down this way with Keylev, HeMaLuDy, and UncleSamNZ, for a quick 2day trip to the Galatea foot hills, we had an earlyish, start from Auckland, our little group decided to take another stop here to continue the cache finding.Signed in as SEAC to save logbook space.TFTC.
Weekend away with my geocaching buddies from Team Seac. Took a drive down to Whakatane on Saturday and did the Bird Walk trail, then went to Galatea and did the foothills trail...that was a long 20 km's return trip...but got most of the caches. Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches. We had a great few days exploring the area. All logs signed "Team Seac" or "Seac"
Clue was spot on. Great hide, thank you. ️ Lid of the tin is gone and log book is very wet.
486. A quick stop here yielded this one although we did have to go back up the track to get service to get the hint. The log is soaked and the lid missing from the tin so some maintenance would be good. TFTC.
Look a little while for Dad and mini Power Rangers to find. Log is very wet.
Decided to get a few more caches after a day in Whakatane. Found this one after a bit of searching. TFTC
We are on a big 2 week caravan holiday in the North Island.... lots of driving so far. Staying in the Thornton camp ground (Fantastic) for nights 9-12. Today I conned hubby into taking me to this track... his knee is a bit sore (good excuse) - he's parked up down at the bottom under a tree while I walk this track looking for 4 caches.
This is No.3 - all tucked away out of sight.

We have never been to Whakatane so added to our holiday North Island school holiday road trip. We took the opportunity to find a few caches while in town. TFTC
Good find. Container is missing tho
Be careful as track has wasp traps on it. No need too go far up it or dig around

On a spur of the moment roadie with NZ Flossy after seeing these new caches out. I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers replaced log with a little pce of paper.
This is the second time that I've come looking for this one. Spent quite a while the first time with no luck. So pleased to find it this time. Was well hidden in natural camouflage. The log is very damp and the paper tore when I wrote on it. Needs maintenance.
GPS was bouncing around a bit but eventually I spotted the cache container.
The lid was hard to open due to rust and the logsheet quite damp - to be expected with a non waterproof, metal container in the bush.
Thanks for the cache.

Staying with friends nearby.
Out for a walk this afternoon on these tracks to collect the four caches.
A quick find here. Log back to being mostly dry.

Heute führte unsere Tour von Rotorua weiter nach Wakatane.
Der GZ war schnell erreicht. Wir fanden zwar ein mögliches Versteckaber keine Dose weit und breit gefunden.

Today we had our third day in Whakatane, again at the route of the Pacific Coast Highway, thereby visiting Ohope and many other sightseeing locations and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was rather good all day long, not so sunny but it got warmer in the afternoon. Clouds and some wind were our compagnions especially in the afternoon.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to SprngBokBokki for showing us this location and for the fun we had at Birdwalk (ohope). The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

The co-ordinates were about 5m out for me and the cache was further from the path than expected but got there in the end. One more on the way to a dragon. TFTC.
I brought my niece here in late April and we looked and looked for this cache without success. After seeing the it had been found by K & M we decided that it was worth another look. 'The Mr' and I came here today and within minutes of arriving at GZ had the cache in our hands. So pleased to have a smiley on this one now. TFTC
Looked for this one at the start of our walk and could not find it so gave up after about a 20 minute search as it was starting to rain ...went and grabbed a few others in the area ...but on the way back decided to have another look and sure enough it was there on the ground buried under a lot of foliage still in good condition signed and replaced in the fork as per hint but CO may like to check positioning ....thanks sprngBokBokki for the placement
The royal "we" (me) decided that we needed to go caching despite the wet weather. Headed in and searched. It looked as if someone else had looked here recently but no logs to confirm this. Disappointed not to find but our muggle friends wanted to move on. On our return later on we sucked back in for "One last look" and discovered the eclipse container well buried in leaf litter a couple of meters from gz. Replaced as per hint. Thanks for the cache sprngbokbokkie.
I am going to visit a lot of different countries on my travel tour around the world! At the moment I am staying in New Zealand. Of course I also try to find some geocaches on my tour. So I have visited this Cache as well. It was a beautiful place which I reached by a nice walk!
Thank you for hiding and best regards from somewhere in the world!!!

A nice quick first find of the day here after our trip to White Island . TFTC

My son and I were in Whakatane for a trip out to Whale Island (Moutohora Island) and we still had energy to burn so afterwards we came here so sniff out some of the local hides. I was pleased to spot this one - it seems to have been replaced and is in good condition and ready for the next cacher. Cheers SprngBokBokki TFTC

An early morning walk while staying in Whakatane. Found the lid in one tree and the container- with the log, in another tree. Replace the container with a new one and left in the tree that I found the old container in. Thanks for the cache.
Nice sunny day to enjoy the bird walk. Lots of happy tui and bellbirds. Cache needs a new container as the lid has gone
We found the cache more like 5 - 6 metres from the track, a nice area to visit with beautiful homes in the subdivision by the car park. TFTC.
Lid had been displaced and water had got in. Found the lid and put back on ... though the cache may need some TLC
Looked in the remaining trees close to the trail but no luck. However there are several trees that have recently been cut down. So maybe gone.
Needed a good blowout today after a long day at work so tackled the birdwalk. Made it to the top, and then went straight to the cache. Tftc
