Logs
On our big New Zealand tour we stopped in Whaganui today and tracked down and logged this cache. TFTC
Thanks for replacing! Found immediately, exactly where we thought it would be. Saw it at a distance even
Found exactly where we thought it should have been yesterday, thanks for the maintenance
3 of us looked for ages and couldn't find this. I need to wash my hands, the whole search area smells like urine. That's what you get in the centre of town on a weekend though!
Thank you for this find somewhat easy! My whanau and I 3rd cache finding! Here's a pic due to no pen available
Ttfc was expecting something more sneaky from previous logs though Found with Hanna and Ihavelocomotives
After a visit to the museum and the local coffee shop. Got this on this rainy afternoon. Thanks
A nice quick find while it was quiet. Unfortunately didn't have a pen but took a photo of the log. TFTC
We were meant to be looking for somewhere for dinner, I'm but I'd used geocaching maps to get us to town, but I I couldn't not
Second time lucky and found it. Managed to hide it from the muggles that interrupted our search. This one was a bit of a steel!
#379.This was an awesome hide in a busy area. Ninja skills were on point.Another Wanganui cache marked off.TFTC.
Out and about with Flowerydaze and on a road trip to Whanganui for the Vintage Week-End which was most enjoyable. Found after some revelry and an enjoyable night where all was quiet. 3rd trip here for this one and Floweerydaze spotted it. TFTC Firewoof
At last, third time lucky. Talla64 and I are here for a few days enjoying the Whanganui Vintage weekend. Great fun - we're already planning to come back for next year's Vintage weekend. After tonight's revelry had ended, we sneaked here, no-one around - got the little blighter! Thanks for the cache firewoof.
Found on an Ad Lab, tea, toilets and Mc Ds road trip with Nutty Nora. Pretty close with GOS then attracted to logical place. No muggles which was good as not wearing shoelaces.
good start to the day of caching. looking forward to seeing the other cool caches here!
Had a good hunt but no luck! Will have to get it next time Im in whanganui! Some people call myself and my partner crazy. I dont think so yesterday we drove from Auckland to over Cooney where we spent a night in our car, today we are heading to Palmerston North to pick up a TV that we bought for cheap off marketplace. We will drive back up to Auckland tonight . Yes, we are going out about the way to pick up the TV, no, we dont care.We make frequent stops because of the long drive and well my partner naps, I go Geocaching. Thank you to all COs for placing and maintaining.
Found. But out in the open. Unsure where it's supposed to be. So placed it back where it was just semi hidden
Pretty tricky to find - needed help from a friend - coz you've got to stick together - like magnets
Heading to a CITO at Whangaehu Beach with Infoferret, GSEL, and Barefootguru. We had time on our hands before the event, so went into Wanganui to pick up some caches. This was one of them.BFG and IF had already found this cache, so it was just GSEL and myself that came searching. GSEL's GPS took him in one direction, while I thought another. As it turned out, I homed in on GZ the quicker, and he soon came to join me. At GZ, a fairly quick find. All good in the container, despite it missing a lid. Signed, and returned as found, upside down to keep the rain out. TFTC!
#13,582. Heading north today with Barefootguru, Infoferret and Matagouri to attend a CITO event. After a short lunch break, two of us went for a wander to find this cache. My GPS took me too far initially but after it settled the coordinates were very good. By that stage Matagouri was sure the cache was hidden there and after feeling around soon had the container in the hand. Signed the logbook and replaced the cache as found. Thanks Firewoof for hiding the cache here. There used to be a Majestic theatre in the city I grew up in as well - Rotorua. It also folded in the 1970s or 1980s.
Had a muggle group hovering around me wondering what I’m doing but after a quick couple decoy coughs they scattered TFTC
12YO chose this cache to attempt - she is familiar with Majestic Square and hoped on approach that no one was using the stage... fortunately it was empty.
After 12YO looked around for a bit, Mum had a go - and spotted it very quickly. 12YO grabbed it and replaced it before any muggles could spot them.

Not spent much time in whanganui before so I had lunch nearby and explored. Great square and it would really nice to chill in during summer instead chilling during winter. TFTC.
We are in NZ from Australia. This is our replacement holiday instead of Seattle 2020, not quite the same but that’s all AirNz can muster up for our credit. But we are happy it’s a holiday and we get to see all our NZ pals. As well as this there is geocaching to be done.
When planning this trip I asked my friend in Upper Hutt where we could stay on the way back to Auckland she suggested Whanganui which we thought sounded interesting as we haven’t been here before. Little could she have guessed that it was the home to many many wonderful caches. What a bonus for us.
I drew up a list of caches with lots of FP and it did not disappoint.
After a lovely brekkie at Mischief we headed for a stroll about the town. This cache was found in the first place I looked and then spent an inordinate amount of time trying to extract the log book. It was well jammed. Luckily I have my mini Swiss Army knife with me. TFTC
SA’s Leap Year Mega Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024 - Adelaide South Australia . Can’t wait!!

Was pleased it was a quiet Saturday afternoon with no Muggles around! A quick look around GZ soon had the cache in hand and was able to return it to it's hiding place without being spotted.
Day 3 of a short stay at Koitiata aka Turakina Beach with GB Leader. Cached in Whanganui yesterday and we returned today for more numbers for the Wheel of Challenges.
But not this one. The GPS was wandering all over the place & a couple of muggles were sitting where I think I needed to be. Another time.

After a very cool cruise on the river we had to grab a cache in this city before heading south. Easy one, TFTC

Found it together with Majline. We did some searching before we focused on the correct item and then we found it. Tftc and greetings from Sweden.
From Drury Hill we drove into town to complete the art work AdLab. This hide happened to be close by. We wandered about looking for various hiding places and then spotted the cache. All good.

Walking back from the hotel after dinner a quick find for Mr CD as no one about. TFTC
I was in the are so I thought I'd have another look. I see what everyone means by the great camouflage, good job. Didn't have a pen so couldn't mark it or anything, but was still fun.
Staying a few nights in Whanganui. Had a great dinner at a Japanese restaurant just around the corner. Night time seemed a great time to search for this - not a soul to be seen. Surveyed the situation from afar to work out where we should go. Honed in on it pretty quickly after that.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Not a lot of muggles today, due to rainy weather.
Quick grab
Thanks for the cache

Early evening. Not a soul in sight. Quickly spotted, removed, signed returned. Nice. Bonus find on our way back from dinner. Tftcsl
Bkj97 soon had it in hand and completed the formalities before returning as found. I just stood quard. No muggles were harmed in completing this mission. T4tcsl
Parked Zara up early at Moutoa Reserve and walked around central Wanganui for a few hours doing the LAB. GPS had me going further up the street before rereading and returning here. Finally tracked it down and left my calling card. Thankfully very few muggles about. CheersZara and I came north to catch up with family and friends for Xmas with Rattll,s BBQ also on the radar. A surprise visit to the Etherlord Clan Saturday night and then a couple of days in Wanganui picking up some LABs and Trads to get Signal through the Castle Labyrinth. Then back to Paly and Wellington. Then with my friend aboard Zara,we did a side trip to Tora, Paihatua, Palmy, Foxton and back to Wellington. And awesome week travelling and catching up with friends with a little caching on the side.
Idk, maybe I'm just blind. I'm likely to come back tho so hints would be nice.
