Thanks Mayfind for the cache. [/Blue]

Loved the place of this cache!! We were lucky and see 6 baby swans with their parents. Tftc
After helping my sister pick up some cupboard inserts in the morning, we headed off a little later then usual to my uncles place, so this cache, with no detour at all was chosen to be found. Every time we drive past I say there it was, pointing backwards, so this time , we pulled up earlier as the road has a large dirt shoulder and I walked the two hundred and fifty meters to the cache. When I turned around my car was following me, which was weird, but after quickly finding and signing the cache it made for a very short walk and we were still at our destination nice and early.
Thanks for the nice quick park, pond and grab cache!

Another warm sunny day, so we headed out to pick up some caches in the Newcastle area.
With a good variety of hides, we were kept busy all day.
Cache was found quickly, log was wet & slimy, so added a new one. CO should check.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Mayfind, for us and others to find.

Late entry. Found this one easy enough but traffic was a nightmare. No swans today. TNLN. SL. TFTC.
High traffic times add an extra element to the search. Swans are beautiful as always, I used to drive past here every day and look for the babies. TFTC
TFTC I located GZ but the Black Swan & Cygnet had flown the coop. I thought "Oh boy! George....?" Then decided I didn't have a Clooney! Finally, as a keen Backgammon player I decided to "double ya odds" and then I found it like "where half a bird in hand worth" is found.
#134 - Cherie and I attempted to find this on her last visit to Stockton, at 1am, in the pouring rain. We didn't have a whole lot of luck then, as you can possibly imagine. In daylight, with blue sky, it was a whole lot easier! No swans to be seen, but being able to tick this off our list was reward enough. TFTC, Mayfind!
What an awesome place. I loved it there. It was the end of my bicycle tour and I enjoyed it. Thanks a lot for it!
We have driven past here so many times but knew the traffic would be a problem. Today it was not too bad so we parked well off the road and ran the gauntlet crossing over. The site of GZ was a lot more noticeable than the swans, no sign of them or the nest now but there was something in the distance that could have been a duck or swan. We logged with no traffic around then scrambled back to the car as the lines of cars travelling way over 80km/h tore past. Thanks for a great cache.
Tough spiky find in an extremely high muggle area.
Saw the baby swan nearby.
A shame about all the pollution around here. Cool view of the non stop cal loading though.

Found it! Didn't check obvious place -.- totally should of done in day time due to nearly walking into swam -.- haha
Certainly a busy little bit of road, no swans today but plenty of motorists who probably thought I was finding some relief and not a geocache.
Thanks for the hunt Mayfind

At 5pm on a Wednesday this road has a crazy amount of traffic for such a small road. After a quick find the problem was going back the way I had come!
Found by Mary & David at 1210. No swans in sight today, but we reckon we could hear some off in the reeds. A novelty for us to see mangroves with their primeval roots, and the different water view over the road. A much softer aspect with the gentle rustling of the reeds. Found the cache after a short search. Our thanks to Mayfind.
Holy dooly we have spent a lot of time looking for this cache previously but today found it very quickly by accident not we thought it was so pleased to now tick it off the list...

Guessing weekend traffic a bit lighter than usual but probably still looked pretty strange darting across the road towards the thick reeds. Understood the clue as soon as arrow settled for a quick but painful find. Hate these Georges!
Mr Mayers couldn't find it but Mrs Mayers found it pretty quickly! Good hide. Thanks =)

It doesnt help looking for this one when you are 80m away from GZ. This was a quick ride, stop and grab after an adventure on Ash.
After a failed attempt to gather these caches on wednesday, 88jaz88, Patches108 and I set out. We went through Jesmond, to the UNI, Wetlands, Sandgate...had a quick stop at the floodgates and across to Ash Island. We had a fantastic time caching around the island...loved the scenic views and slightly rough trails. The places geocaching takes you!!! We had a brief lunch at the northen most point of our journey then continued on. I also admired the historical side of the island. We then jumped onto Tourle street where Jaz was swooped by a Magpie. Funny times!!! After that we headed to Army View where Patches and I both got a flat. We changed them under the bridge and continued on up it. Once at Stockton, we headed south on the cycleway and unfortunately Pat got two flats...one on each wheel what is the luck?? Jaz and I then decided it would be best to cut our losses so we rode out to get a few. We met back up at the ferry at 2 and went to the local bike shop (CFN) where they helped replace the tubes and we were on our way. At this point it was getting on 3 o'clock and we decided to make the dash home via a few unique areas. After a ride through carrington, islington, broadmedow via the small powertrail, I was back home.
Thanks to all cache owners for their time and effort in placing these awesome caches and showing us some great areas.

Upon getting close to this cache, 88jaz88 got swopped by a magpie. We thought this was hilarious until the magpie went for us too, We found this one thiss time easily, after DNF'ing it last time, looking in the wrong spot.
Thanks for the cache Mayfind.
After a delayed start due to someone sleeping in (me), Cccritter7, 88jaz88 and I set off on our big trip. We headed through Jesmond and along the freeway. We stopped for a cache at the wetlands, then continued along to the Sandgate Cemetery. We picked up 2 caches along Maitland Road, then turned into Ash Island. We managed to pick up all the caches in Ash Island, also admiring the amazing views. We then headed to the Tourle Street Bridge, and headed along towards the Coal Terminals, picking up a cache along the way. We continued along towards the Dinosaur bridge, and picked up the first in the series of caches on the bridge. We went underneath, and after finding it, both Cccritter7 and I developed flats. We luckily were able to replace them, and continued up to the bridge, and along. We found the rest of the bridge series, and headed for Stockton. Unfortunately, after we found our first cache along the way, my back wheel had gone down. I pumped this up, then discovered my front was flat too! It looked like I had ridden through a patch of mutant cat-eyes when we pulled them out. I then walked the bike the 3-ish k's to the ferry terminal while the other two grabbed a few caches in Stockton. We reunited at the terminal, hopped on, then hopped off again in Newcastle. We went to a nearby bike shop, had my tires repaired, then we discovered 88jaz88 had a flat too! After having everything repaired, we followed the bike track from civic to Islington, picking up several along the way. We then got into Broadmeadow and onto the bike track, and we headed back to base. Unfortunately, I still had a way to go, but it was plenty of fun. 54kms, 5 punctures, plenty of caches and tons of fun!

SPIDERS EVERYWHERE! Ugh.
After my fellow cacher got distracted by the numerous frogs around her and trying to take pictures we eventually grabbed the cache, with some ants crawling all over us.

The warmer weather def brings out the spiders, tonight we have had nothing but spider encounters.
Found this cache after first finding a baby green frog, which I was amazed how little it was. I got a little side tracked. haha Eventually got the cache in the end, open the log book which was filled with ants, signed and placed back. TFTC

2345 GAFF1 After a DNF in April it was nice to stop by and reprise the previous effort.
Cache dry and intact, but left a cut-down pencil.
Another for the Night Caching thesis book mark.
Not too many muggles tonight, and the parked geo-mobile covered most of the search.
Brought through for mileage: 3 Bros, Aust Light Houses, BEAGLE BIXBY, B 2 B ingot, Homer J TB, Iconic Bridges, Just Monkeying Around Oz, Little Moo, Lulu the Ladybug Travel Tag, PAP, Play Well, Trackabulldog, cache critters Baa, Neigh Neddy, and Oink, and trackable shirt.

Beauitful little warm day today, drive to visit Stockton for munzee area... Easy to find but full little ants inside cache, shake all ants gone... Hide very well thanks
Had a 5 minute search with the geo-son early on Saturday morning whilst on the way to pick up a relo from the airport. However, there didnt seem to be any obvious place to look but around the lomandra and we had a plane to meet so lwe eft empty handed.
Spent about half an hour trying to find in the 'lamandra' which I suppose would be a version of 'bush'.
Am wondering if on Clean Up Australia Day, if the cache was found and removed? Could a cache check be done please.

For some reason couldn't find it today under the watch of some guy who pulled over right next to us and started eating lunch.
However, along the route, I saw a bird that was quite unusual. I thought it might have been a black swan? It was quite pretty. Unfortunately I didn't snap a picture.
Hopefully we'll be more successful next time.

What looked like a disgusting piece of water, actually holds a lot of wildlife, so looks are deceiving . There seems to be only a single swan there this year, oh,,, and a cache, SL, thanks for giving us a better opinion of this area

A quick drive by. The swan was home but disinterested. Took nothing, left 1953 halpenny. Thanks Mayfind
Found at 2.25pm GAFF1 in the company of Robmc. Well that was an unexpected find! That swan must have it's ear plugs securely planted.
Thanks Mayfind.
Thanks Mayfind.
That swan must be stone deaf! It is still nesting, but we had trouble talking near the edge of the road from all the traffic.
Interesting to see though.
Thanks, Robmc.

So I squatted down and had a look.

Found during night caching on the way home from a family lunch on Boxing Day. No swans in sight but they probably blended in with the night. Got a few spikes retrieving this one. Will inspect the damage to my arms when I'm home in the light. TFTC!
No swan today - amazing to think this busy road is a safe quiet place to raise your brood. Took a while to find so resorted to the clue. No idea who George was so wasn't much help - but he must have been a prickly chap. Thanks Mayfind.
