archiving as I am an irresponsible nurse with x3 jobs , have been working 15hr night shifts for the last two years and two other roles, now I do covid vaccinations full time plus two other roles have been made feel like I dont care about caching because of a wet log, the fun has gone from caching for me
Beautiful weekend weather calls for a day of geocaching trying to reach our goal of 200 finds with 30 left to find before we reach that goal this was our 2nd find for the day, unfortunately the hanging clue through us off the trail for a bit until we read the previous log as the cache is no longer hanging I presume due to the recent strong winds TFTC
Coords were off but the clue to look up near the fence line for a blue bucket was spot on. A bit tricky to find parking nearby. TFTC
Thanks to someone else’s post I found the gc. Just go hunting for a blue bucket. Perhaps needs maintenance
I drove Aquilus1 around Victoria, it was a great trip and some great sights were seen. It was actually very relaxing not being involved in where/what we were collecting....I should do it again sometime. Thanks for making me come, it cheered me up no end.
Sorry for the generic log.... all answers (if any) sent by Aquilus1

Very concerned to see a dozer had cleared this and gz was scraped bare but then noticed the blue bucket up along the fence line. Left where found after signing the log but about 20 metres away now but great to see that it had been saved.
Trip log: I have had a trip in mind for a while now, a 'Victoria loop' which would see a number of counties travelled through but also visit the last active Web Cam left for me in Australia and a 2000 cache which would see my Ausmer complete! A trip would not be complete without some company so a little convincing and a suitable friend was talked into coming along... and for good measure they would drive and keep me from getting myself into too much trouble while at it!
Counties featured high on my list, but each one filled with quality... oldies, larges, and types that where sought. As is the way the list led to a varied and interesting trip with some very amazing locations discovered along the way.
Day one saw a lot of distance travelled but just four caches found for the day, all quality and after a trip up Mt Buller late in the day we settled into the finest lodgings Mansfield had left.
Day two started well and the highlight among many was GC7A with my Ausmer complete but a great cache location and the gate installed for easy access was a hit. Our journey took us onto a number of locations and through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It was here with the light drizzle that settled into solid rain that I was thankful of my driver who calmly followed my directions despite the conditions as I juggled caches on my list to replace the walks the rain and the 13 degrees weather had made too uncomfortable. Ending the day cold and wet in Dandenong the accommodation made up for the previous nights and the local pizza sure did hit the spot.
Day three saw a return to lovely weather with us driving the guard rail hwy... endless guardrails on all roads. Frankie the Gnome wasn't on the list but too hard to miss as we passed! Down to Mornington Peninsula and through some interesting locations towards Lakes entrance and stopped in Bairnsdale overnight.
Day four and after a little local caching around the 'lakes' area on another lovely day, it was the long haul up towards Eden. The 2020 fires devastation was enormous as we drove through the endless winding road with all the fluffy looking regrowth. Crazy to think back to that time and see how nuts it all was. Another full day but made it safe and sound back home again.
Many thanks to all the CO's for your caches that led us on an enjoyable journey through some interesting locations with great places visited along the way..

Took awhile to walk over and back from the cache but nice find! Cache wasn’t in container so I fixed it up but thankfully everything was dry TFTC
Found today with Joolay on a trip to Victoria to attend a funeral. We stopped here to ok pick up another lovely large cache.

Approaching from churchill I overshot the cache and parked around the next corner, walking back. As I got near I realised that this was my second time looking in this spot, the last time being before a gps update that meant my GPS was previously 10m out. This time I explored from a different angle and found the cache almost immediately. It was a long way from where I was last time. Its a nice big cache suitable for tbs. Just wish I'd taken mine with me. The day is hot, the sky clear but full of smoje from a distant fire. Found in good condition. Tftc
Focused on lower half of wall today but nothing seen. Shall try again in daylight. Tftc
Lucky I brought my caching boots for this one... I increased the difficulty more than was required however it added to the adventure and so did the getting back to the car the reverse way.... even though I had seen the 'easy way'

Today Fleabag- wanted to head over 120km from home for this event and grab a few large and "?" size caches he was looking building up for a challenge we are working on so I came along.
The kids where up the top of this wall really quickly. I don't know hoe since each section was about as tall as they were. Anyway, saved me climbing up with my broken toe.
Thanks Nautilus7497 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

One of many caches found with +Wife, during our day out in the area.
After the Latrobe Valley Geocaching Event we went wandering.
Stopped by here for a nice quick find.
Some superb *Diprotodon australis* burrows nearby.

I am targeting cache sizes other than small and micro for a challenge and today I had a few marked pkus an event. As he often is my geobuddy was keen to accompany me for the trip and we brought out littlest geokids each for extra eyes to search. I started to go for the cache and my geokid was next to me.. wow. The steps are her height. Only I was nervous as she had no fear of gravity. Spotted easy and signed. Thanks to Nautilus7497 for the placement and fun.
Camped at Dumbalk after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Sixth for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, good coordinates. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Today we went for a Christmas Holiday drive down Gippsland way from home in Melbourne with the kidlets (as we enjoyed our trip down this way the other day).
The plan was to try and find some large size caches (as little Miss really enjoys the swaps) and to do a few earth caches (which we all enjoy).
This was our sixth cache of the day after doing your Bush Adventure cache. This was also a bit of an adventure. The kids stayed in the car with Mrs P whilst I got this as its a bit of a tricky location. We actually saw the container on a drive past. It was a little exposed. Not sure where it was originally.
On the way here we also saw an echidna (see photo) and when I went back to the car, the kids were all out looking at something. It turns out there was a few emus in the property I parked next too.
Thanks for the cache Nautilus7497 - you are certainly helping us tick off a few large caches!

We had a bit of adventure finding this cache! I worked out pretty quickly that I couldn’t access it from road level so I needed to find a way up . This meant a detour with a bit of a climb , a bit of a bush bash amongst lots of blackberries but I found something way out of place. It was a few metres from GZ according to my finding device, but that didn’t matter at all here.
As I was leaving a man from the property over the fence wanted to know what I was doing. I spilled the beans about geocaching. He was quite interested and was pleased to know why people might be visiting the location.
It was great to find a large cache for a change.

Had to go for a bit of an adventure but found it and left some putty for something to do in the car
**# 20373** Found on a drive around the area while staying nearby.
Not many muggles around today and a few quick finds for a change.
Nice trek to the cache, but probably a T3 for some people.
Thanks for the cache Nautilus7497,

FINALLY. A REAL CACHE (one that contains swaps and is not just a mint container thrown in the bush like litter) lots of swaps. Nice easy find for the kids. Nearly lost one of them down a hole. A fun cache to find. Took nothing. Left 2 x AA batteries IN CASE ANYONES GPS unit is getting low. Thanks for the cache
A quick climb had this cache in hand, it was open, but luckily dry. Thanks for the blue hide
Decided to do this one at night as there was way to many cars the other day when I had a look. nice easy one.
Not quite the park and grab as described. Was overwhelmed when I pulled up in the car adjacent to the wall... that's a lot of hidey holes! The blue cache enabled this to be a fairly easy find. TFTC
Clever cache! Required some climbing, and the warning for the holes helped a lot, we would of probably toppled over otherwise! Thank you!!

Out caching with gwd.aussie. Had no real plans where and ended up in Churchill. I am sure the CO could have been really mean with this location but luckily it was a quick and simple drive by.

The lid to this cache container is broken and very weather worn. I didn't have anything that I could use to replace the container - sorry

Found when in the area with taurus1955 and BentleyTB. Not an easy cache to locate today. Stone walls looked good! TFTC
Even using the hint this was not an easy place to locate a cache in. The container itself, was out in the open and the lid is broken - weather worn and needs replacing

Found on looking for the second time, I originally thought it was down lower. The cache had a lot of water in it due to a damaged lid and all contents were wet and soggy. We tipped the water out but didn't have time to dry things off. The log was the driest thing luckiest so was still able to sign it.
11/11/15.
After FTF finding "watch it spin" I decided to take the "long" way home and mop up this cache that I've missed while driving on Monash Way many times.
The log book is dry, although a little bit disjointed.

We stopped here for a quick visit heading into town from the s/w, but decided it was best to do with more time in the afternoon. When we returned it was a quick find and the log was signed.

Out to collect a few caches in the cachemobile. We had tried this one before, but with the updated co-ords found it this time. It is a place to really take care, with many rabbit holes. No sign of the TB listed

Thankfully the only injury sustained was a blackberry thorn to the upper leg rather than a broken ankle from falling in any of the giant wombat holes nearby. An easy find once you make your way to the gz, TFTC Nautilus.
Have never noticed this spot before and had trouble finding a safe park but enjoyed the efforts of one kyabbott in making a retrieval, number 4 out of 8 for today. TFTC
