Note, cache is still there after the flood, but mud filled container and contents are ruined, will be replacing container soon , thank u geo-hugs
This one is still to wet to sign due to the recent flood event, still full of mud too.
Beautiful weekend weather calls for a day of geocaching trying to reach our goal of 200 finds with 30 left to find before we reach that goal this was our 3rd find for the day but unfortunately we couldn't sign due to a wet log but we did get photo as proof of find TFTC
I drove Aquilus1 around Victoria, it was a great trip and some great sights were seen. It was actually very relaxing not being involved in where/what we were collecting....I should do it again sometime. Thanks for making me come, it cheered me up no end.
Sorry for the generic log.... all answers (if any) sent by Aquilus1

Reading the previous logs we went cautiously on this one and decided on an easy approach. After checking 3 sides lucky forth found the cache in a fairly easy to reach spot.
Trip log: I have had a trip in mind for a while now, a 'Victoria loop' which would see a number of counties travelled through but also visit the last active Web Cam left for me in Australia and a 2000 cache which would see my Ausmer complete! A trip would not be complete without some company so a little convincing and a suitable friend was talked into coming along... and for good measure they would drive and keep me from getting myself into too much trouble while at it!
Counties featured high on my list, but each one filled with quality... oldies, larges, and types that where sought. As is the way the list led to a varied and interesting trip with some very amazing locations discovered along the way.
Day one saw a lot of distance travelled but just four caches found for the day, all quality and after a trip up Mt Buller late in the day we settled into the finest lodgings Mansfield had left.
Day two started well and the highlight among many was GC7A with my Ausmer complete but a great cache location and the gate installed for easy access was a hit. Our journey took us onto a number of locations and through the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. It was here with the light drizzle that settled into solid rain that I was thankful of my driver who calmly followed my directions despite the conditions as I juggled caches on my list to replace the walks the rain and the 13 degrees weather had made too uncomfortable. Ending the day cold and wet in Dandenong the accommodation made up for the previous nights and the local pizza sure did hit the spot.
Day three saw a return to lovely weather with us driving the guard rail hwy... endless guardrails on all roads. Frankie the Gnome wasn't on the list but too hard to miss as we passed! Down to Mornington Peninsula and through some interesting locations towards Lakes entrance and stopped in Bairnsdale overnight.
Day four and after a little local caching around the 'lakes' area on another lovely day, it was the long haul up towards Eden. The 2020 fires devastation was enormous as we drove through the endless winding road with all the fluffy looking regrowth. Crazy to think back to that time and see how nuts it all was. Another full day but made it safe and sound back home again.
Many thanks to all the CO's for your caches that led us on an enjoyable journey through some interesting locations with great places visited along the way..

Well that was harder than it needed to be. Found with Kittykatch but should have focused on the cache and not the nettles but got there in the end. Great to have a large but ended up filthy and stabbed.
On a trip to Korumburra to attend a funeral but time to get Counties along the way.

Very simple find at night. Cache found in good condition safely tucked away. Tftc
We have been so busy doing maintenance on our own caches that we were determined to go for a drive and find a cache today. It was a beautiful sunny winter day for a drive. This was a great sized hide. Thanks for the cache.
Found on 24 Feb 2019 at 11:59 am.
Today Fleabag- wanted to head over 120km from home for this event and grab a few large and "?" size caches he was looking building up for a challenge we are working on so I came along.
I spotted this one from the other side of the bridge, it smelt really bad due to some dead animal nearby somewhere which I didn't bother investigating.
Thanks Nautilus7497 for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

I am targeting cache sizes other than small and micro for a challenge and today I had a few marked pkus an event. As he often is my geobuddy was keen to accompany me for the trip and we brought out littlest geokids each for extra eyes to search. Spotted this from the approach but we had to cross to the other side. No mucking around at GZ as there was the fresh road kill smell nearby. Thanks to Nautilus7497 for the placement and fun.
Camped at Dumbalk after returning from Tasmania. Out for a few caches today. Seventh for the day, quick find, cache and contents all good, coordinates showed 10 meters from GZ. Took nothing, left nothing. TFTC
Oh my god. I went through all that shrubbery and undergrowth, made acquaintance with a stinging nettle, and scrabbled around under the bridge... just to find the cache in the most obvious, open place (as the description told me, derp). With any luck, the next cache hunters won't have to I wouldnstill recommend people be careful finding it, as access is less than stealthy thanks to this road being one of the busiest in the area... but the good-sized cache makes the effort worthwhile! TFTC, and also for making me realise that anti-sting ointment belongs in my caching kit
Well I made that one much harder then it should be. I made an assumption where it would be but it was actually much easier.. took tb. Tftc
As with a previous finder, we first saw this cache from the other side of the creek. Access wasn’t that easy for me in my awkward way of crossing the road guard and The Driver beat me to the cache. I was quite grateful actually.
I took the TB which was in the cache to take it further on its way. It’s first trip will be to Phillip Island, home for me. Cache and contents are in good condition. TFTC

Found this one today on a caching day in Churchill with Bigrobv. This find was made a lot harder by the map indicating the cache was on the opposite side of the creek. We scrambled and looked in some very dirty places, getting cramps and climbing at weird, unnatural angles. After looking everywhere we got back in the geomobile, went back over the bridge and tried that side, the cache was in hand within seconds. We signed quickly, making a dash between the cars at a very busy time of day and headed off to find a couple more caches.
Our first large!!
Very happy to have found this. Great spot! Although it hadn't been occupied in a while. Tftc!!

After a rough afternoon on plantation tracks, I felt I needed one more hide to justify the trek
I met Billy's Creek a week ago, except that time it was high in the Strzeleckis.
And I met some stinging nettles there too. I could still feel them a day later. If only I'd known then their culinary properties, maybe I would have looked on them kindlier.
Then again, maybe not.

Not much shishnu around at this time of the year and the creek looks a little depleted, but the cache was a good easy find. Left mini psycho doll, took Hawthorn footy player (minor improvement!). Thanks!
No worries finding this one, thanks for the tip, no stings. cache is good... TFTC
Sent aburkitt down to get this one, after we were originally looking on the wrong side. He's only a little bit itchy.. Hehe tftc
Billy was very quiet today, so we took advantage of it and signed the log, which we found easily.

I walked right past this one initially. Searched in all the places that were obvious to me and then thought that I'd better check my gps again. And guess what, it was where it was meant to be lol TNLN TFTC
Was just about to give up and go over to the other side when it became very obvious.
After tearing up the lea on the wrong side of the bridge this one wasn't too hard. TFTC
Stopped to look for this one today was very over grown with black Berrys and thistles also very busy road may try again some other time !
On a wet and miserable day thought twice about whether or not we should grab this one. In the end we decided that we were here anyway so why not!! Sent hubby the last few meters as I knew I was not sporting the right footwear. Thankfully he returned unscathed with cache in hand!! TFTC
Hmm, map image took me to the wrong side of the creek which I learned the hard way. Thankfully, I relocated myself in between zooming vehicles traversing the bridge and made a quick find. Excellent positioning, perfectly tucked away! TFTC Nautilus.
We are in this lovely area for 2 weeks house sitting at Jeeralang. Trying to grab some nearby caches cause once I get home its a good hour drive to my nearest cache now ! Had a bit of trouble deciding which was the best way to approach this one. Eventually found a nicely tucked away cache in good condition. SL Left magnet TFTC
Lots of cattle crossing under the bridge made us a bit wary at first but after sussing their path was the other side of the water a quick find followed. TFTC
Straight off night shift BettyBoo3747 and I set off for Churchill to check out the Winston Wander on our deadly treadlies. We grabbed a few others in the area, both before the trail, then a few more on our way to Sale.
Avoided most of the stinging nettles by the bridge, but I must admit we didn't gather it for later cooking.
The large cache is in good order.
Thanks, Robmc.

# 3787. With Robmc, travelling from Melbourne to Sale today for our first day of caching and sight-seeing around Gippsland.
Luckily we had long pants on today and we stayed close to the bridge and avoided them in any case. This is a very good-sized container and it was soon found. Tucked it back safely. TFTC

This was the 5th cache, on my valley cache run today.
Drove straight past GZ, when I realised what I had done I turned around and went back.
I quickly found the big cache and signed the log.

After stopping on the wrong side of road and deciding it needed to be approached from opposite direction, T went in search of cache where it was quickly located, K took some pics, we added some swapables and replaced cache. TFTC

Some interesting information about stinging nettles that I didn't know before. Found the nicely sized container in a good logical spot. I didn't make any exchange, but did an unusual sight - I have never seen cows standing under a bridge before! Thanks for the cache.
Found with Team Crackers after lunch at the nearby event.
