We made it a morning goal to reach this spot from our anchored boat. I paddled and Brian kayaked and we made it without falling in the cold sea. Lovely poem and good hide. SL and RAF. TFTC
We're anchored in the bay at the next island and decided to break out the kayak and sup and head over to find the poem. Perfect day for it. Thanks!
What a fantastic spot for a cache! Had to collect this one on our "Hole In The Rock" tour. Interesting that nobody has found this for over 2 years. The log is getting rather soggy but I guess it's not so easy to maintain, given the location.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*
TFTC, found on new years day with [@guesswho10303](http://coord.info/PRE7TFW)
Really thought I would miss this one, as our boat dropped us at another bay, BUT, our walk went over the island and down to another beach with lunch under a Pohutukawa, guess which one,!!!
Doesn't get much easier than this. Tftc

I write "WRITE NOTE" because it's a time when we can't go on a long adventure, so I travel in the memories of my visits. That's why I'm only stretching the Travel Bug from the adventures in New Zealand. Writing "Found it" is no longer correct, but it wasn't today.
I am sending a beautiful greeting from the Czech Republic.

Took the dinghy across to this bay. Found the poem and the cache easily. Not sure if we came across this plaque when we were kids exploring the islands. Thanks for the cache
Took the dinghy across to the island for a quick and easy find. Interesting the plaque. I don't believe I have come across it before with all the exploring we did on these islands as kids.
Thanks for the cache

Beautiful secluded spot. Tried to reach from the other side of the island yesterday but couldn’t find a route down through the trees so sailed around to this bay today. Left a turtle trackable and some other toys. Tftc!

We really enjoyed the view. Found it on our sailing trip, together with Team Vendetta.

A group of guys from work had planned a three day fishing trip out of Rawhiti and I was lucky enough to be invited along. Now I love fishing, but three days straight might be just too much of a good thing and so I hatched a plan to divide my time 50/50 with fishing and caching, if I could just convince the skipper to do some drop offs and pick ups.
Luckily, he agreed, so I worked out a plan of attack to get the maximum number of caches on the islands while I had transport available. After a full walk around Urupukapuka Island on Friday, Saturday was a fishing day and very successful too, but on the way back, I just couldn't let us motor past an unfound cache and so managed to stop off to look for this one. Luckily it was really close to the beach where we landed and was a quick find in the hint location, so within 5 or 6 minutes we were back on our way. TFTC

rustynz tells me I need to catch up with all my logging
Was at an Island overnight camp with a group of Westies and non Westies (rustynz, gorby, FMZ, Aidan29, Jag50). Sorry for the generic log, but am very behind. Thanks for all the hides, and maintaining your caches.

After visiting Te Ao island and Mahenotiti Island we now come here to Waewaetoroa Island and it's one and only cache. Still in the hired water taxi, FMZ, Jag50, rebel98 and rustynz all hop of the boat at the beach, the captain does an amazing job reversing the boat to the beach. I stayed on the boat discussing caching with our captain but he just isn't enthused, turns out this is his first time he has taken geocachers caching! Might not be his last time either... I look at the water here and compare it to Tonga, I have recently returned from Tonga and I reckon the water is just as clear here! The cache was quickly found once 5 pairs of eyes are looking for it. Then the others quickly embarked and we are off to Motuarohia Island.
The day before, whilst walking a circuit of Urupukapuka Island, I knew about this cache, but thought I had no chance of finding it!
What a difference 24 hours makes, and being surrounded by intrepid cachers, the plan was made to find some Island caches as we cruise back to Paihia, after an overnight stay at Cable Bay.
The watertaxi, dropped its anchor and we were soon splashing thru the water, across the sand, and up the bank to to plaque and the hide.
A group of us formed around GZ and it was Jag50 who were soon signing the log.
Once a lonely cache, no more with our visit. All good with the contents.
Thank you for writing on the cache page what was written on the plaque. It was very difficult to read the engraving on the granite, and the sun reflecting on the shiny surface spoiled the photo.
So another fun find, this time on Waewaetorea Island

Our team today consisted of Gorbygorbachov, rustynz, Rebel98, funkymunkyzone, and ourselves. Rebel98 suggested at the end of breakfast that we might like to take the opportunity to capture a number of caches from some of the many isolated islands in the Bay of Islands by hiring a water taxi. So Rebel98 made the call and arranged for our pick up just after lunch. On motoring to the islands, our taxi skipper was explained what we were doing and asked if our request was ok. He was more than happy to accommodate us. Fortunately at this location it was a much easier landing on to the beach and not rocks. We all disembarked the boat and made our way to GZ. It still took a little bit of hunting but the cache did not prove too elusive. Cache was in good condition for not being found in over a year.
After camping overnight at Cable Bay on Urupukapuka Island, we decided instead of going back to Paihia on the ferry as planned, that it would be much more fun to get a water taxi to take us for a tiki-tour around some of the other islands. The water taxi could easily back right into the beach here and let us off and the cache was quickly found. TFTC
Woohoo, my first T5 enzocalzone steered the boat, I got the cache! And I was REALLY frightened o.O When there are so few finds, there is lots of "nature" around the box... Thanks for showing us this wonderful place!
Wow! No one has looked for this one in over a year! TFTC! Cool spot with the beach plaque. Left a gold doubloon.
Found orginally as part of phasevisitor team, now created own account, re-logging as yorkshirekiwi83.
I was camping at Cable Bay on Urupukapuka Island for a few nights, together with tikitour and Tiki tour. We picked up Riser5 this morning and headed across to Waewaetoroa to locate the cache. After reading the plaque, the cache was quickly found. An interesting spot on a lovely Island - a favourite point added! TFTC!

Paddling right around these islands today, from Rawhiti. We had lunch and a snorkel in the next bay around. Great location for collecting urchin shells. T4TC - M@
Anchored with our sailboat and thought that we should take a walk to the cache but it ended up with a dinghy tour for logging instead.
Easy find once ashore. Initially waited for beak in rain before giving up as this wasn't a good spot to hang around today.
Interesting plaque / poem.

Paddle my Kayak across from Rawhiti to pick this one up. Great part of Northland for a cache
An interesting stop on our tour of the islands...the grass made it even more so. Thanks for the cache and the island history.
Enjoying a beautiful day in the bay to show my sister around who is visiting from the states and finding some of these island caches along the way. We camped in Urapukapuka over anniversary weekend but the wind drove us out so it was great to come back and enjoy a lovely day. A quick stop here before going to Cable Bay for swim and lunch. Plaque was interesting and cache soon in hand. TFTC
Another lovely beach on another of our lovely islands - Thanks RussellSchool for setting up these caches - as well as a lovely day out they are really improving my Difficulty/Terrain stats.
The plaque made interesting reading - cache soon in hand... Love walking through the springy grass - sometimes we were over knee deep - thank goodness we don't have snakes etc!! TFTC William

Our 500th find on our 31st wedding anniversary.
On the start of a 5 week holiday and we took an overnight cruise for our wedding anniversary on the Ipipiri. A really great cruise in a beautiful part of the world which we greatly enjoyed. As a bonus the captain anchored on the north side on the island for the afternoon activities and seeing there was a cache on the opposite side we decided to do the hike option. The first 60 m high hill was bit stiff but we managed to get to the cache and be back within the allotted time.
We found the contianer quickly and signed the log and left one of our path tags.
We were glad this was not in Australia as the knee high grass was definitely snake country. The plaque was very interesting and engendered some good discussion with the crew on the boat when we returned who were quite knowledgeable about the plaques.
We really felt this was a perfect choice for our 500th cache and also our first terrain 5
Thanks for the cache RussellSchool and greetings fom Western Australia. We hope to come back to this beautiful area and do some more of your caches in the future.
Day 2 : Cache 3 : Total caches 8

After a very comfy night in Waiwpuka Bay motored into here after breakfast to find the poem, soon had the deed done. Busy Passage with the tour boats this morning.
Lovely walk around the island - got some mussells from the rocks - tasted great later that night! Saw some dolphins doing acrobatics in the distance for the tourists!

Wind had got up a bit by the time I headed out to here so the paddle across from shelter of Motukiekie was a bit hairy - Waewaetorea passage was nice thou and the beach was sheltered - had a well earned rest after finding cache. Took TB to help it on it's way. Another fav tick from me. Thanks Russel school for a neat couple of days caching, camping and kayaking in the area.
Well this one made me work for it today. All of the paddle was into a head wind but the last 500m made me think about turning around, as I surfed down the Waewaetorea passage I felt a bit exposed out by myself as I dont paddle as much as I used to. It was made worth it on the way back as I came across a pod of 4 Orca . Thanks for another FTF in the Bay Of Islands the only place I seem to get them.
I have been there for the placement! It was a very nice kayaktour on a nice and sunny day!
