A lovely walk down and down some more to this location. The seals were very cool to watch as they fought and moved around.Courtneyrose_ and I headed fora weekend away to Kangaroo Island, we came to check out the sights plus to compete in the Marathon. A great weekend away with a few caches found along the way. Thanks for the cache
Bit of a drizzly day but made it down and back between showers! TFTC Amazing place!
Couldnt find all the answers because the observation platform is a worksite and there is no access to where the information panel would normally be. Looking not far from being finished and is heaps better platform than it was before.TFTC - heres a photo to show I was there.
Great location for an Earthcache! Visiting SA from Sandpoint, Idaho, US. Beautiful day for geocaching. Brought Semper Fi and Raleigh Runner TBs by for a quick visit. Thanks for a great caching experience!
The arch is currently in a construction zone. Interpretive signs with the info required be the questions are apparently in the construction zone.
(# 10218) Visiting Kangaroo Island on a two-day tour, and one of the stops was at Admiral's Arch. Unfortunately, the boardwalk was under reconstruction, so we could not get quite as close to the Arch as we would have liked. But the waves crashing against the cliffs, the fur seals and a rainbow over the sea made up for any inconveniences. Answers to the questions have been e-mailed to the CO, who sent the OK, so here comes my log.// e-scape (of Sweden)
During our two-month trip through New Zealand and Australia, we arrived yesterday on Kangaroo Island. Today we have all day to explore the island.During our tour of the island we also visited The Admiral's Arch. Unfortunately, work was underway and the Arch was not easily accessible. Still, we managed to find the right answers and we received log permission.**CADS11**, thanks for the cache.
We are currently on a eight week holiday which is mostly spent in New Zealand and Australia. However, the first three days were spent in Singapore as a nice break from an otherwise long flight. We had about three weeks in New Zealand which went by too quickly. The remaining five weeks are spent in Australia. Yesterday we took the ferry to Kangaroo Island and for today we want to visit amongst others the Remarkable Rocks and the Admirals Arch. The admiral's Arch was not good visible due to work in progress so that was a pity. By peaking through the fence we could make out the arch. Have to come back one day for a better view. Thanks for this earthcache about this phenomenon.
We are having a 5 day break on Kangaroo Island, using geocaching to explore the island. For us this is a good way to see many different aspects of the area. The CO has responded quickly and given us permission to log the cache. TFTEarthcache
SM325 and I are on a bucket list trip to New Zealand and Australia. This is our first time here and we are having a blast. We traveled here from Ohio, USA. The scenery has been magnificent! We loved the walk to this one. Due to construction we were unable to get great pictures of the arch. We did a little reading and hope that our answers are correct. There were no sign boards visible (maybe because of construction). TFTF!
Mrs. Amazing and I spent two days on Kangaroo Island as part of a semi-private tour. We grabbed some geocaches while there. This one definitely deserves a favorite point. Thanks so much for putting this one out as well as feeding my insatiable addiction!
Today, Geoturtle37 and I made a lightning fast trip around KI as there are no ferry trips for days due to the long weekend.Unfortunately, the information wasn't available due to construction. Stunning location. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
Unfortunately, there is quite a bit of construction happening here so we couldn't go everywhere we wanted to. Still able to see enough to thoroughly enjoy the visit. Thanks for placing this cache which directed us here. We found a native on the edge of the road as we were leaving.
Thanks for the earthcache. Hopefully our answers were adequate to log this cache.
Day #4 Leaping Forward AdventuresI had made it to Cape Jervis overnight and met up with Posums for our Kangaroo Island adventure. An early morning ferry across today and the adventures begin. This area was being repaired and all signs were missing so we did some research and took some photos to show we were here. Answers submitted and approved. Thanks CADS11 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Well after a whirl wind tour of Tasmania to help with 3 challenges that Im working on, I got back in late Tuesday night then packed the Geowagon and headed off to SA early Wednesday morning to attend the Leap Year Mega and to also tick off some LGAs along the way as well.Well after crossing the border the other day and staying in Millicent then, Wellington and Cape Jervis last night its now time for more LGAs and head over to Kangaroo Island for a couple of days.Kangaroo Island has been on my bucket list for years and so after picking up Roaming Howie this morning from his accommodation he has to squeeze into the Geowagon for a couple of days and put up with my driving. So we have arrived on to the Island and our Geocaching exhibition has begun and lets see how much we can explore in a day and a half.We went to the furthest part of the island first Flinders Chase NP. so we could slowly make our way back.A very nice part of the island down here. You could see on the way in the devastation from the fires from 2919-2020.Parked the Geowagon put on our walking shoes and off we went.Stopped at the lighthouse first to take a picture then went along the boardwalk.Sadly the end is closed off for upgrading works but you can get near the arch to have a look.No seals playing in the arch area today but plenty of them on the rocks futher away. Thanks CADS11 TFTEC.
We are on a trip around Adelaide and Kangaroo Island. Beside visiting beautiful places we also do our hobby geocaching. dispite the boardwalk was under construction we had a great view on the natural bridge. Really amazing! #owner, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
I visited this stunning location with YGAT while on a bus tour of the island's major attractions. I have sent my answers to the CO.Thanks CADS11.

Catching up on logging of my Kangaroo Island Earth Caches. Logging with the permission of the CO. I loved walking around this area. The views of the seals was amazing. The picturesque view from the arch was really outstanding. TFT Earth Cache and for bringing me here - CADS11.
Grub62 and I visited this area and enjoyed the geology and the wildlife. The fur seals were all over the rocks and the arch was spectacular. Sorry I couldn't send more detailed information on it. Thanks for bringing us to this wonderful area and TFTC.
Had a great fun here, saw lots of seals and arch was amazing!Together with MCemzzThanks!
Such a good experience loved seeing the sea lions play in the water also! thanks for the find, found together with SeeneBMX
#7143Day 3 of our SA adventure....We explored Vivonne Bay and Flinders Chase today, heading back via Stokes Bay, grabbing a handful of finds, having a great day nonetheless, generally using EC's to guide us along. Great spot!TFTC!
#7142We arrived on Kangaroo Island a few days ago, and have a few days of touring and caching to do before heading back into Adelaide. We visited some amazing places and had an awesome day. One of my favourite spots on the island, the seals, the arch, the seals under the arch, wonderful! Answers shall be sent tonight. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache CADS11!

I came here today with Coybear2000 and some muggle friends. We found some of the information quite easily, but had to search further, and on-line for the rest - might not even be correct. We had a great day visiting here and other nearby attractions. TFTC.
Done with Trodectus while visiting with family. Was a nice walk down to arch to gather the info with a few photos taken. TFTEC
While on a family holiday to South Australia we decided to visit Kangaroo Island. Seeing Admiral's Arch was another must do. Such an amazing formation. Answers sent to CO. TFTC and for bringing us here!

CADS11 Thanks for the cache and yellow dandelion.
Our great Australian adventure is over and all that remains is work . As always. Not all caches were logged during the trip, as the owners require responses to be sent. And that cannot be done during transfers. Maybe so, but I like order and for that I need peace and a big monitor .
Visiting the Great Ocean Road and Kangaroo island were firmly in our itinerary and they did not disappoint us one bit. Spectacular views, fantastic weather, gentle breeze, pleasant sea air, ... so many plus points . We enjoyed every second here.
I even didn't mind driving the car in the left lane and with the steering wheel on the right (that is, except for some intersections in Melbourne) . But after returning to Europe, it's a problem, because I mix up the sides and turn on the wipers instead of the blinkers .
Visiting Kangaroo Island was an imaginary icing on the cake. Friends, if you think visiting Kangaroo Island is perhaps unnecessary and you have already seen everything on your trip to Australia, you are very wrong. Don't miss it .

Naše velké australské dobrodružství skončilo a zůstala jenom práce . Jako vždy. Ne všechny keše se podařilo během cesty zalogovat, protože owneři vyžadují zaslání odpovědí. A to se během přesunů nedá dělat. Možná ano, ale já mám rád pořádek a k tomu potřebuji klid a velký monitor .
Návštěva Great Ocean Road a Kangaroo island měly v naší cestě pevné místo a ani trochu nás nezklamaly. Spektakulární výhledy, fantastické počasí, vlahý větřík, příjemný mořský vzduch, ... tolik plusových bodů . Užili jsme si tady každou sekundu.
Dokonce mně vůbec nevadilo řízení auta v levém pruhu a s volantem vpravo (teda kromě některých křižovatek v Melbourne) .

The Flinders Chase National Park is our first Australian highlight. Great spot. A remarkable arch and lots of fur seals around. Thanks for the explanation! TFTC
Although it was windy. Little Miss loved watching the seals frolick. Little Miss #2 was not a fan at all.

I love caves and sea arches, so this was a special and unexpected find. I had only one bar and then none on my phone, so I hope I answered the questions right. TFTC. Here’s my husband and me enjoying the arch!
We finished our visit to this corner of the island visiting the Arch and watching the seals. The arch is quite impressive. Being here, I think this is the farthest I've ever been from home, about 100 miles short of 10,000 miles away from home.

Goldy and Jimmy are off to Kangaroo Island to see some sights and pick up some caches along the way.
I enjoyed a variety of different caches, seeing cool spots and catching up with GooseyC for dinner on Thusday night.
All caches were signed with joint "Jimmy and Goldy" stamp.
My highlight was the Vivonne Bay Rock Pool, Jimmy's was seeing the seals at Admiral's Arch.
After stopping to look at the seals for a while we made our way down, it appears signs have changed since this EarthCache was made. So I've done my best at what I believe is correct.
Thanks Team Idefips and CADS11 for this EarthCache, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2472 on the 10th of February 2023.
**South Australia is hosting a Mega! February 29th, 2024 in Adelaide. Hope to see you at The Great Leap Forward**

Wow!!! What more can we say than amazingly beautiful. Out guide, Bjorn brought us here today only wish we had cell service to make the log.
We hope we earned your smiley face as we certainly had them for you. This is at lunch where we had wifi free. We'll upload a few photos tonight back in Adelaide.

Busy place today with heaps of tourists. Enjoyable walk down to the arch with spectacular views and a scattering of seals! Didn’t come across any info signs related to these questions (one section of the viewing platform was damaged and blocked off, so may have previously been in there) but google came up with the goods. Thanks for placing an AL here
Day 7 of our week long family holiday on KI! Headed out to Flinders Chase NP in the morning to see Admirals Arch, Weirs Cove and Remarkable Rocks, logging caches as we went!
Geokids loved the seals at the Arch, but we’re disappointed the flying fox was no longer operational (or even visible) at the cove!
Answers sent, thanks so much for the info provided in the description- so interesting!!

Absolutely breathtaking! We were lucky enough to experience Admirals Arch with nobody else around. Lots of fur seals playing around. Another amazing earthcache - TFTC
Found on our family holiday to Kangaroo Island. Day 3 on the island meant a big day trip to Flinders Chase. Wow how the fire has changed things since we last visited. We collected the evidence required for the EC and took a bunch of photos. We had a great time visiting today. Thanks to CADS11 for showing us this place. Answers have been emailed in as requested.
My partner and I did the big loop from the eastern side of the island today. We took the north road down to Admirals arch and then meandered slowly back east taking in the sights and delights. I took many photos of this location, like everyone else. It is an amazing geographical monument, incredible to be here at this time to see the effect of the environment.
Answers sent to the CO, even though I didn’t have the time to read the sign. The lack of phone reception meant I didn’t get to read the description while there. I had prepared a list before I left home but the GPS was in the car, and the list didn’t make it to my phone. All up, poor prep for my visit to this area.
Thanks CADS11 for this EC, nice work. FP4U

Tagging along with friends on an epic adventure. Leaving our South Gippsland home with a days notice and driving 1061km straight through to Emu bay, Kangaroo Island as the Ferry we were going to board, was now out of action.
These are the caches we stopped to find along the way. Thanks to all cache owners for placing and maintaining caches in such amazing places.

I have been here previously before the earthecache was published, but it's nice to come back for a revisit with family that haven't been here before.
Today there were only a handful of seals present, last time there were dozens if not hundreds. Probably depends on the season and the weather, they may all be out hunting and building up fat stores for the mating season.
Thanks for the earchcache, answers sent.

Great part of the country that we recently were lucky to visit. Logged with CO permission.
Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangaroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come back into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.
Loved it Loved it loved it.
Did I mention I loved it.
Even got the answers right the first time. My reading needed to improve on the other nearby earthcache.

The sign doesn't give the answers anymore. Seals everywhere, was a lovely spot to visit! Tftc
We were travelling with TubbyBooBoo and ZoBo01. We walked down to view this amazing natural wonder and yet we were still not prepared for the stunning scenery that greeted us. The New Zealand Fur Seals were frolicking and the weather was just tremendous. We spend a couple of hours just watching and admiring the coastline and the Arch was just stunning. Thank you for this cache.
This was a beautiful stop on a beautiful day. We enjoyed our lunch while watching the furseals and then made our way down to the arch, with plenty of stops along the way. The geology was awesome and the seals frolicking about underneath made it all the more spectacular. We really struggled with the answers, not finding anything at the cache site, but did some googling once we were back home and we hope that these answers suffice. TFTC
Notes take by Olga. Unfortunately, the signage does not provide all the answers requested. We found mention of the age, but it is a bit vague.

Found with Cows with guns on a quick visit for some retail therapy with both families. So nice to see so many seals playing so close by. Thanks for the cache.
There were lots of seals in and around the place even sitting just next to the board walk making the place even more magical.

Today we have visited the Flinders Chase National Park with all its wonderful geological formations.
Admirals Arch is a really beautiful spot, but it was bitterly cold and really windy here and its only a couple of days till its summer.
We really enjoyed the formation and were able to spot several fur seals and sea lions in the sheltered section of the cave. There were also some 'surfing' the waves on the other side of the boardwalk.
It was a fantastic place to visit!

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 86 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.
Today we entered Flinders Chase for the first (but not last) time.
Not too many muggles around - to start with, but a bus arrived when we were half way down the boardwalk, OK, let them pass, they are on a schedule - we have all day. It worked! Brilliant place, we saw plenty of sea lions basking in the sun, or rolling around in rock pools.

This was a great day on the western part of this beautiful island! Among all the nice hikes the one from the lighthouse down to this amazing arch was exceptional. The seals slept below the arch and enjoyed the sun - While looking around we took many photos (and not all information...). A special "Dankeschön" to the CO and greetings from Downunder back to Germany!
