This one took a little while amd I had doubts which side of the stream it might be on, but the coordinates on the map proved pretty accurate in the end. A methodical search by TA found it.
We took an hour long diversion from our task of finding [the Letterboxes of Marlborough](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC6A62Y_the-letterboxes-of-marlborough) to drive up the Anikiwa Road to see that famous spot, picking up a few caches on the way. This one was quite tricky ... a bit higher than a foot off the ground, unless the replacement was popped in by an Ent maybe. Anyway, with the superior eyes of trifolia A the cache was eventually located. TFTH!
Time to try and tick off this months challenge. There is enough on this end of the Queen Charlotte track for me to almost do it.I had previously looked for this one and had a replacement prepared. Dropped in as close to GZ as possible, about a foot above the ground in the tree.
Another dnf for me. Turning into a nonproductive day. Might be time for the cafe instead
This cache was found on an afternoon trip to Annikiwa . It was found with my wife on day three of our eight day holiday in Marlborough based at Picton.
Lucky my husband was patient. I persevered and found it.
JDScout and I are spending a week in Picton. We have spent this week exploring Marlborough and finding a few geocaches. Thanks bumandworker for creating this hide. It was find 9471 for me.
======== NZ Mega 2021 ========
Planning for the NZ Mega 2021 event is well underway. It will be held in Auckland over Labour Weekend, October 2021

Staying in the Sounds for a week or so, so taking the opportunity to find a few caches that have sprung up since my last visit.

Found on our TA thru-hike. Really appreciate this path, keeping us off what looks like it would be a narrow and dangerous road!

A short getaway to catch up with family on the Mainland and drive some roads not travelled before.
We spent a few of nights in Picton and picked up some caches. Found just before some walkers came past, rehid once they were out of sight.

Another quick grab. Got this one on the way back as that way parking was better. No probs, TFTC Bum.
There have been a few new ones placed along the QC track, but I don’t have time to do them tonight. I will come back some other day with the bike and see how we go. In the meantime, a quick trip in to do some one this road and the QC Drive if I have time. Turns out I didn’t, but still good fun. Thanks all COs.

Just come back from a great walk along Queen Charlotte Track to Anakiwa View and back picking up a couple of FTFs along the way. So now time to head home. But time for a couple of stops along the way.
Last stop for the day. Quick find here after The Seagnoid believes this one is gone. Ha. Ha. Cheers. That cleans up a few straglers. Time for home.
Had an early message from The Seagnoid for a walk at Anakiwa for a couple of FTFs. Yep Im in - pick up at 3.30. No change of plans make that 12.30. Its been raining here early morning and weather changeable since then. Thankfully its a lovely afternoon for a walk, but track wet and muddy in places.

We've had these coordinates for a number of years now and remember being unable to find it so it's time we had another look. Nearly gave up again but persistence paid off. TFTC.
Well we failed on this one . We are we sure we searched the area fully so will keep an eye out for this cache and see if we are proved wrong. Thanks for bringing us here for a lovely waterside walk
My third (this is getting embarrassing) DNF today. This one I am sure is not here. I searched GZ and the hint object pretty thoroughly.
Heading in to the bay, to spend a bit of time enjoying the beauty of the area. Quickly found the obvious GZ but did not find the cache. It did look as though the water has been through the area so potentially it has been washed away. We put a replacement cache in the obvious place. Hope this is okay - if not please remove our found it log. Thanks for showing us this track - we are planning to come back with our bikes - just need the weather to be a bit more settled and warmer.
A nice and quick find, all quiet, not too many walkers or bikers today. Cheers.
Early ferry today, and off to Neslon for a couple of nights. Good to be back on the mainland.
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Another quick find while in the area this morning. All was clear but as leaving the GZ a couple of walkers spotted approaching with a dog. Not sure where they came from, but 90 seconds earlier and it could have been all bad.
All in good order and thanks for the cache.
All in good order and thanks for the cache.
after crossing on the ferry from Wellington and on way to Nelson, could see the weather was going to pack it in and wanted at least one cache for the day so took a small detour and collected this one. Side road fairly quiet. TFTC
We're visiting from Florida, USA. That was great fun. Thanks for placing the cache.
Was busy looking near the obvious item listed in the title. Was mistaken.
Found after a bit more following the coordinates.

It is day three of a three day weekend (Waitangi Day) which gives me the opportunity to boost my numbers in the local area. On Saturday, in the company of Kiwimykl I have done some local Blenheim caches along with the route to Picton and a few Picton caches. Sunday's caching involved the Port Underwood Road and some more of the Picton caches and today's effort involves the Queen Charlotte Drive, Anakiwa and the route between Havelock and Blenheim. As we were time-limited we decided to target PnGs or those caches only involving a short walk.
As parking around here wasn't the best, I stayed in the car and let Kiwimykl do the honours. He was quickly back with the log in hand which we signed, replaced and were soon on our way to the next.

Damit unsere 1-monatige Serie nicht verfällt, gab's noch einen kurzen Spaziergang hierhin. .. Nochmals gut gegangen. Huf. TFTC
It took me a while to find it and earned me some scratches, but it was fun. TFTC!
#1463 Found on way to Anakiwa with wb-jnr.
Thanks for another South Island smilie. All good at GZ

Found with Polargirl and Spudge. A quick easy find here and our last one while on holiday in the south island. TFTC!
I was left to battle the bushes and return the cache as Spudge and Allepousse had to get back to start on dinner. TFTC
TFTC, Allepousse and I gave Polargirl a headstart on her bike then met up with her at each cache on this road, she was mostly faster on her bike than we were driving!
Grabbing a few caches on our drive to drop N9 off to school camp.

Off the ferry this afternoon and decided to take the slow way home.
Hmmm. Something's different. A hint - thankyou Last time I concentrated on the Bridge. Maybe the coords have changed too or the stars were aligned differently today.

Day#2 of our trip to Picton via Port Underwood Road and time to head home to Richmond, via another scenic route, of course. Another stunning sunny day and lots of interesting places visited so many thanks to all the COS for their cache placements.
We were able to park near the bridge - it does look brand new - and walked the last few metres. We took the cache name too literally before realising that the GPSr was point a few metres further on. Managed to make the find while the area was free of muggles. TFTC.

#10028. The bridge is pretty flash. At first I thought the cache was going to be under the bridge, but it proved to be a short distance away. TFTC.
Parked close by and only walked a few meters to this spot - pretty cool pathways around here.

[green] Got invited to a road trip with Taybee and TaybeeNZ, and Taybee had cleverly worked out a route neither of us had been on - 40 caches worth! Picton, Queen Charlotte Drive and Pelorus. Long day.
For some reason, Taybee and taybeeNZ decided to look over there, my GPS pointed me to way over here. After I found the cache I checked the logs - yup, Taybee had the old coordinates! I'm doing well today - haven't needed a hint all day so far. Here's hoping!

Staying at Smith's Farm for a few days. First search of the day on a morning walk up Anakiwa Rd. Thought I did a thorough search but came up empty-handed anyway; wondering if there have been some "did not log" searches in the 4 months since the last find. I imagine it would be unlikely that there have been no searches made over this time, especially considering the glorious summer weather we're having.
bookmarked to check (see link on cache), but unless not returned correctly by last finder, this will still be there. easy to miss
Had a good search. Lay on the ground on both sides and stuck my head under to try and see what Isis saw.
No Luck.
No Luck.
Took a little finding. Had to employ the eyes from one direction and the hands from the other, so a little visual memory was required. Got there in the end. .
What a substantial bridge. Easy find, but unable to fit in the trackable I intended to drop.
Cache is still listed as a small, though it is a micro.
Thanks for the invite to explore this area.

We noted this on the drive in to Anakiwa but thought it would be better to get on the way back out. Quite a sturdy construction. TFTC and replacement. #5591
Wow, this one took some finding and I was just starting to think it'd gone missing again. Persistence ended up in success though. Sneaky hide this one!! TFTC BW!!
Oh bother, went past today, and forgot this one....even though it is book marked and in my GPS......next time.
Found the cache ok but how do you remove it. Got a canvas out of car, lay on the ground and on inspection, decided it did not come out, so , think about it. Signed and replaced. Very good.
Great cache B and W. Had quite an adventure retrieving cache as a big spider had taken up residence on top of cache. When cache was removed the spider fell on my face. Certainly memorable.
Trusted the GPS and found without problems in the usual place for such a cache. TFTC
Back to visit Anakiwa where both of us had been in our youth when there were no houses and an unsealed road .
Knowing we will be back as a team meant Mrs SoBad was tempted to leave this for another day. For a moment anyway. But spotting the name and the closeness to the road it seemed silly not to stop. Especially as the path was clear of walkers and riders. Found the cache signed the log, and put the GPS away. That was definitely the last for the day. And 14 more b&w moved to the found list.
Thanks for the cache and the contribution to a great random day for Mrs S. SoBad was less happy with only 1 wicket down in the test - but then he could have been caching instead.
