The CO might want to disable this cache until end of July due to the GZ being completely blocked off for construction work. Access has been closed both from the north (train station car park) and south (View St) and the area is currently off-limits.

#2923 - Oh yes, the noisy one! Quick find with eyes on the pathway while steppin' up. Stand underneath while a train goes overhead and get skittled by cyclists! All part of the fun, eh! Many thanks to *rinsemesocks* for establishing and maintain this cycleway cache.

#2832 (6 of 6 today) (Streak day 298)

Decided to head towards Bardwell Park today as there are still a few caches nearby I haven't grabbed.
Managed to avenge a previous DNF and a DNAttempt in the process.
Also managed to run into two cachers - at two different caches, as well as a school friend at another.
Interesting day.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
OK, so having been convinced to go "one more" by **Miz Wacket** I made my way here and then had to wait as a plethora of muggles went by.
One actually lingered when, having eliminated a number of places, I had one interesting one to check. She finally kept going and I looked - making the find.
Took a distance to complete signing duties, then back for the replace.

Saw three trains while searching.
Now for the traffic home.

I'm vertically challenged so I was worried maybe I wouldn't be able to get this being as I had come by train for a walk along the Cook's River.
Not a problem, even I could reach it but I did have to wait out 2 sets of dog walking muggles before I could claim my smilie.

TFTC - Cache Streak #75.
I needed a cache today, near a train station, so I could just jump off and back on after work.
This one did not disappoint. What a great location for a cache. No sleeping for trolls under this bridge.

I had to 'Periscope' my adventures as it was a great location.

Unfortunately I drew the short straw with work rosters this year, being rostered on for an early morning shift at the airport today (Boxing day). But I decided to turn it to my advantage by doing a bit of caching on the way home, to extend our "mini" streak, fill yet another calendar gap, and to generally add to our cache "found" tally. This was the 3rd find of the afternoon.

After finding "ABS 1833" I moved on to this one. Parked the geomobile in Griffiths Street and walked down the nice old sandstone steps to GZ. Spent much longer searching for this one than I should have. I had actually checked the correct hide on my first pass, but obviously failed to spot the container, so spent the next half hour or so going over the entire structure in unnecessary, and painful, detail. And nearly had a heart attack when a train suddenly went rumbling past, just above my head. But it was an interesting view from down under there.

I was about to give up but then decided to revisit some of the previously checked spots, but looking a little bit closer this time, and finally had CIH. TNLNSL.

Thanks rinsemesocks for the unexpected adventure, and for the cache.

I was in New Zealand for the Mega, but then wound up getting stuck in Sydney overnight when my United flight was canceled. I was staying not too far away and so I decided to do a bit of walking in the morning and to get this cache. It took a bit to spot it, but I was able to safely sign the log without being muggled. Cheers for the cache!

Out on a Saturday morning georide looking to make this #4 for the day. Having done my fair share of climbing already (Even More Monkey Business & Unwins Bridge) I was reluctant to do any more. Got one strange look from passing cyclist! Soon realised I wasn't as height challenged as I needed to be and didn't really need a leg up and so it was CIH. Should have followed the hint first. Log signed and cache back in it's home where the trolls can guard it. BTW those trolls must have a lot of trouble sleeping when the trains pass over the bridge! I must have looked like I was in some trouble as I was asked twice if I needed help. Told them I was taking photos of passing trains! TFTC TNLNSL. #123 for Brewmaker.

While spending 16 months abroad, travelling through all states of Australia and also having a two months break in Thailand I did a lot of geocaching.
After many, many caches accompanied by the strong will not to write any standard logs, I ended up with more than 1000 finds, all waiting for an official log. After intense considerations and carefully weighing my options, you now receive this special limited edition numbered log.

This is my unique non-standard log #47.

Thanks a lot rinsemesocks for taking care of this cache, showing me this place and turning my travels into an adventure!

Greetings from Germany.
Keep on caching!

That’s roughly the route I travelled:

And finally some statistics:

Days of geocaching: 17
Geocaches abroad: 47

After the other Troll @ Wolli Creek, we took another stroll trough the park to this troll. We found it in a clever spot, luckily just after a little search - thanks to the good description.
There were a lot of spider webs around, so - scared as we had been made of the funnelweb spider - very carefully we performed a quick grab and wrote our names to the logbook.
And yes, there were some bikers cycling around, so we took extra care and stealth was applied. Mission accomplished!

Because the next cache turned out to be a DNF, this was our very last cache in Australia! G'day mates!

Thanks so much for the cache.

Found at 11:41am.

After a DNF on this cache roughly a year ago, I returned today thinking that this one really shouldn't be too difficult, especially given the many recent finds.

I parked at the end of Griffith Street where I made my way to the stairs and headed down to GZ. There was a fair amount of murky water where the bridge tunnel starts from this end so I avoided it where possible.

Anyhow, this time GZ proved to be about 8m away from where it pointed me last time. I reckon this tends to be a significant factor when cache hunting, it can easily be the different between a simple find and a lengthy search.

This time the GPS was on point and within a matter of a few minutes after parading back and forth briefly, I made the find. Always nice to see trackables in any sort of cache but even better to see them in a small one, so I logged these as discovered as well but TNLN.

Signed log, thanks for the cache rinsemesocks

had to come back a second time to find this one as I was thwarted by many, many weekend muggles the first time around. Today during work/school time I was able to give it a better go and found it quite quickly despite the many possible hiding places that it could have been. Loved the train which rumbled nearby while I was looking, the train that I used to take to school every day of my secondary school life! TFTC

Cache #149

I had a reseveration for lunch at the nearby Concordia Club, but my train brought me there half an hour early so I thought I'd do a bit of caching to pass the time. I honed in on the GZ pretty fast (great view of the trains!), although I ended up having to resort to the hint to find the final location of the cache.

One thing I didn't count on was the very high muggle density - there were a lot of cyclists. Despite my best efforts at remaining stealthy, I think I may have raised some suspicions. I checked that the coast was clear before attempting to replace the cache, but in that short space of time a bike came fast around the corner and pulled up just behind me. The rider looked at me very suspiciously and started trying to make small talk. I excused myself and promptly left. Hopefully my carelessness has not compromised a quality geocache.

Was in the area today getting some new tyres and thought I'd grab a few local caches while I waited.
A nice quick find, the the peace was broken by a rumbling train.
