GPS takes me to an empty concrete pad with a sign saying that a 25pounder gun should be here. Some one has stolen the gun and presumably the cache.
Hey Gonefishen07, we really enjoyed some of your caches this weekend. This one we suspect has gone missing together with it's host artefact. See attached picture. We'll check again next time on P.I. thanks for the fun!
Wasn’t able to find this one today, but didn’t have too long of a look, will return later.
Another DNF to the list unfortunately. Three sets of eyes and lots of reaching and feeling and head knocks but no cache. Thanks anyway.
Second try this weekend and no luck. Looked everywhere, climbed under, tried what the hint and other logs said but no cache… even diablo1234 who had found the cache years ago came today but still no luck.
We usually have trouble with army equipment, but found it record time. Previous comments were a great help. TFTCache.
Sitting at the Adventure Resort after the grand welcome to a board game weekend I realised I hadn't found a cache for the day!! I've got to keep the streak alive so dashed out under the cover of darkness and found my way here. I was grateful for the night as even though it was late it was a Friday and there were plenty of muggles around still. Thankfully they were concentrating on other things and no one seemed bothered by my frantic searching. Eventually I worked out what I needed to do and had the logbook in hand. I signed away and headed back to the games bearing snacks so no one would question my disappearance haha!
Thanks for the cache!

Great hide! Feeling green or rusty? Nat and Shell first find on the island together
After a couple of loops around the object not yielding any results, no matter which way we turned our heads, there was only one thing left to do, use our hands. Not having any gloves with us, I elected Steve to risk getting tetanus, and stood back and watched him put his hands in places he wasn’t too keen on doing, judging by the look on his face.
That did the trick, and the cache was handed to me for the signing duties. The logbook is full, but did managed to squeeze our name somewhere on there.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for the tricky hide.

Had some dinner at the RSL so we decided to take a look for the cache. Both me and Beckgiz have dodgy knees so we may have missed the hiding spot. Maybe next time.
This was an interesting little spot! Took a few laps to find the cache. Happy to have it in my hands. Thank you!

The equipment n0w0rries was delivering to its home on the island was heavy, so, always up for shenanigans, I rode shotgun.
Speaking of which, I call shenanigans on putting tiny things in these, and have had rather more fun than I'd like in searching for them... and, occasionally, actually finding them.
On this occasion, thankfully, the subject of the search was not as tiny as it might have been, and n0w0rries got his fingers on it on our second sweep.
Thanks, Gonefishen07. A fun smiley, after which we spent a little time perusing the other very interesting military relics on display.
Now, if only we had more time to spend caching before going back to the mainland...
Until the next visit...

Woo hoo. We have a brand new Grand Daughter. I had to get my Whooping Cough/Tetanus vaccination a couple of weeks ago. Today I was making a delivery down this way with nirgalagrin and my son and his wife came along to help us unload the machinery. I finally get to meet Charlotte.
What better time to look for this Island Treasure. No fear of rusted armaments. I'm covered! A thorough search soon revealed the well hidden cache. All in good order here Gf07. Thanks for the fitting end to our short visit to Cowes.

V. quick find (after decent dinner in the local RSL). Geowife straight onto it, despite the prolonged darkness ! I risked the tetanus, unseen beasties & arm-y fatigue to recover the prize. TFTC GF07, an interesting exercise post-lockdown 4.0
I suck at this type of hide and this was no exception. I spent over half and hour and have no idea where this cache is secreted. I will watch this one.
Another one of these, our absolute nemesis, eventually found the cache in the spot we had checked first, just not well enough...
Thanks for the cache

Searched everywhere, no luck today
So took the wife on a short break over Christmas and New Year, along with that came the mandatory lets find some caches each day.
Started just before Christmas down in Metung in Gippsland and explored the area as well as visiting the koalas on Raymond Island and the beaches of lakes entrance.
After that we spent a few days in Kilcunda and walked the George Bass trail as well as a visit to Philip Island.
A pretty great trip to relax over Christmas and New Year.
Ended up finding 50 caches and 3 new travel bugs as well as placing one... unfortunately I also had 8 did not finds which I think is a record for me.
The caches took me to some wonderful places as I got to see Koala's, Seals, Dolphins and heaps of spiders and creepy crawlies..

Last chance to grab a Cache in Cowes before we head home to came here on my morning walk. Checked in all the obvious spots in between cars driving past but couldn't find it so read some previous logs. Then I tried again and I found it. TFTC gonefishen07.
Found it after attending CITO ‘Planting for the environment’, thank you Gonefishen07 for placing the cache.
We are having a holiday in Phillip Island this week. In between showers of rain we took the opportunity to get out and grab just a few for the day.
Thankfully it was in the second place I put my hands on, so it was a quick sign and back to the car, out of the drizzle.
Thanks Gonefishen07 for all the effort of placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play

Tried this one a few years ago with no success. Today it was a different story and made short with of it. Whew! Tftc
My exploring hand knocked the cache from its hiding place along with a lot of rust. How long will these things last for? Hope I put it back in the same place. On cowes for a couple of days on a road trip from Melbourne, then back to NZ TFTC
I originally found this cache with my Mum heymissjo, but now that I have my own account, I am logging. Thanks for the cache.
For the past few years I have cached as part of "team heymissjo", but now I am old enough to have my own account so logging the find. Thanks for the cache.
I knew my geokids would be able to help me locate this one! Miss 9 had it quickly in hand! Thanks for the cache
Beautiful weather to visit Phillip Island for the day with my partner. Been searched for 15 minutes and let me think where was it....? Had another check finally found it. Good spot. Thanks Gonefishen07 for placing the cache
Came out to go to the market and stopped of to find a cache and added one more to the day. TFTC

A few days on the island over the Christmas period wouldn't be complete without finding a cache. Searched for this one on the way out to lunch, but couldn't put my hand on it. I stopped here on the way back a few minutes later I had the cache in hand. It was a little sneaky, I just had to feel in the right spot.
**Thanks to Gonefishen07 for placing this cache.**

We were down on the island for ShaiMarelle's wedding reception. After having some breakfast in Cowes we collected this one on the way home. I usually struggle with these buggers, but the decent sized cache made it a bit easier to find. TFTC
Never found one yet and probably never will. Walked away rusty and blooded.
This ones a had a nice paint job though.

With a difficulty of 3, no wheels, and a dodgy record of finding these little fellas, it was with some hesitancy and pessimism that I set off for this cache.
(Creswick RSL had led me on a merry and unsuccessful dance).
What a delight it was then to find this micro - fairly quickly.
May even return tonight for a feed and a at the RSL, especially with it being so soon after the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day.

Couldn’t find it please check or Mabey we are just trash at looking for Geochashes
What an interesting arrangement of items. We quickly had our hands on the goods. Followed by conversation with the geokids about WW2.
It’s almost an unwritten rule that every one of these things HAS to have a cache on it I think we made this harder than it should’ve been, because when we did finally find it, it was in a spot we thought we’d already checked! SL TFTC
Over from WA with Ma & Pa Hicks and havent done any caching in our 2wks over here. Stopped to look at some of these gems and my caching app randomly opens. So i figured i was meant to look and find and that we did.
Although I momentarily forgot i was under something and smacked my head
Thanks for the little hide

Found during our Holiday to Phillip Island.
Beautiful Autumn weather for this trip and a nice hide at GZ.

Woo-hoo... im hear with my fantastic extended family. Our first all family get away... it will eather be fantastic or terrible!! But we are going caching and hopefully get the hooked!! Great spot for a hide..
Touring the Island with weather this perfect makes caching so enjoyable. After collecting some needed info nearby, I wandered over to this magnet for caches as the name suggests. Having searched so many of these in the past, thankfully a long search was avoided by discovering the clever hide at the 3rd place I checked. TNLNSL. TFTC. KKams
Done on out trip to lovely Australia. Greetings from so often mistaken AUSTRIA and TFTC!
After we have seen three snakes when we wanted to go for a hike, we decided to do something else and went to the beach first to have a small break. After that we walked along the road to find some of the many caches that are hidden there. Thank you very much for this one! Nice greetings from Austria
took me a few minutes and a very close look to find it. had to wait a few minutes to replace it cause there were a lot of muggles around. tftc
