A quick find after parking up the top and a nice walk down the path. Nice views from here. TFTC
A work colleague needed a lift to pick up her car from a nearby mechanic. I took the opportunity to find todays cache close by. Im giving this a fave point for two reasons: the awesome view and the original log book. There is a crack in the side of the container; I replaced it with that side downwards to prevent any rain getting into it. Thanks for the geocache!
Finally decided to take myself for a short wander to collect these two caches. Made a friend along the way and jumped as another was hanging on to the cache. Luckily I had a tool which helped me lift the cache out of it's resting spot. Thanks for the cache
Found the cache but I think it’s a real guard from back there that scared me this time it was a real one TFTC
SPOILER!
SPOILER!
Final Day - Day #5 [18-2] of 5 for my trip away. Today is the end of my trip away but I still have two days of leave before reality takes over. The main focus for today’s finds were the newer Labs in Queanbeyan. I also found a few other caches around Canberra, including the ones around the Blundells' Cottage. This is the first time visiting this historic site and better yet, I even got a tour of the lovely building. This was all before heading to the Belconnen mall for lunch and shopping. Afterwards, I headed off to another cache which has been on the to-find-list for far too long. Now it’s time to head home. It’s sad to see it come to the end but I have many new memories for years to come. It was great to use Geocaching as my guide because it took me to many unique places both I already knew about and others I certainly didn’t, until now. My next big Geocaching trip I am looking forward to, is to Rutherglen for the mega. TB visit on all found caches. I would like to thank all CO’s of the caches I found today for allowing them to bring me and the caching community enjoyment. TFTC’s
P.S. Sorry, about the generic logs. I will endeavour to edit them at some point in the future for the extended story, FP’s and/or photos. This is when I have more time on my hands.

It was a great walk and a great view we will be doing more in the future. Thank you geocache for creating this
Omg i loved the view and said hi to the kangaroos was hard but my mum found it and this made my day!!!
After a morning riding through the Cuumbeun Nature Reserve, I detoured to Hill Lane before heading back home, and employed the e-TOTT once again to make the transit to and from GZ a breeze.
Cache quickly located and is in good condition. Thanks, jaralah3.

Some nice views of town from here. Travelled along this old road many times in the past. Good to see nature is reclaiming it again. Theres hope for us yet
Found with my mate Ayrton while doing some weeding on the old highway. This road has been long neglected and is now overrun by thickets and jungles of weeds! African lovegrass, Scotch thistle, Verbascum, mustard, dill, blackberry and everything in between! Whacked some and collected a bucket-full to feed to Ayrton's livestock who lives nearby.
Quick find at GZ and we admired the sunset; pic attached. We could smell wafts of a rotting animal and then we heard crunching in the background. A couple of german shepherds were feasting on a rotting kangaroo! Ayrton threw it across the other side of the fence so they wouldn't get sick.
Our thanks to jaralah3!

Muggle daughter the first to this one, Sixpence six being a bit further up the road. All good here, thanku.
Great view of Quangers. Cache is well maintained, with plenty of space in the log. Interesting to learn a bit about the old King's Highway.

Cache 6415 on 24 Aug 2020.
Bobl27 had to head out to QBN to get his car looked at and I was the transport to get him home. So while he was chatting to the mechanic, I headed nearby to grab a few caches for my statistics today. Quick finds all around!
Parked nearby and headed up the hill, a quick heart starter for the morning. Cache found in first place I looked. Great views across to the Brindabellas and the snow capped hills. Dropped in a PT.
Thanks jaralah3 for the cache and the fun!

The eldest geodaughter and myself had 105 minutes to kill in Queanbeyan while the youngest was at Oliver rehearsals... so why not do a few caches!
We did some suburban parks, some ones along the old highway plus a few here and there. Fun night in the cold
Great views from up here.... its amazing to think the highway was changed so long ago

A good leg stretch on the pushbike got me this far up the hill today
Grand views out over the industrial sheds and beyond [^]
With the lack of passing traffic,
this was a casual cache find with fizzy cola in paw
TFTC ... fave dance for the detour.

Out for a few caches with Touchstone 7. This was one of them. Thanks for the cache jaralah3.
Whilst the kids study I took to the hill across the way. Up the hill directly from the road, a quick find from there. TNLNSL TFTC

a second cache to find as I walked along this trail. retrieved the tb when signing the log before replacing the cache back to its hide. tftc
The view of the industrial reaches of Queanbeyan are really quite impressive from gz. I found myself feeling rather envious of the PV arrays on some of the buildings - they make my home system look a little feeble!
An easy find. Log signed and cache replaced as found.

A great second day of caching in the ACT and Queanbeyan. Today not so much numbers, but lots of fun. After a few local caches in Queanbeyan it was of into the beautiful Molonglo george and then to the event in Queanbeyan before doing the long drive home.

So more wildlife abound here. After the nearby cache I poked what I thought was a similar clever cache guardian out of the way.... yes, this one was real! And probably annoyed at the early morning tip out of bed. Ah well....dropped a TB
Made a quick, but careful trek up the hill to find this cache. A nice quiet spot on a Sunday.
Now That the mega event has been and gone I can start logging geocaches again. Is amazing just hoe much admin is involved with this game. Fantastic cache.
Glad I sat in the car and waited out the rain shower. Cleared off then walked up, nice views and watched the rain head off into the distance. Container does have a small hole in the lid but all dry and ok otherwise, thanks for the cache.
Working at the airport, so stopped by Queanbeyan on the way home. Climbed up from the cul de sac and found the cache, while admiring the views. TFTC jaralah3
4:50pm 30/5 - it's leg day (apparently), this walk meant no gym needed today . As I was walking towards GZ I thought the guard rail looked relatively new - why didn't I just drive up to it? I wondered. Once I got there I found out. Great views though, picture on it's way.

Found on day two of our Easter geocaching adventure. After a brisk hike up the hill (in thongs with a geokiddie on my back - not ideal). We were rewarded with the find
Find 6 on our geocaching weekend. We parked at the bottom of the hill. Maybe not the best plan but we made it.
#3866 - 13:05; I headed out to refuel the geomobile at the airport and decided to keep on going and collect a few caches around Queanbeyan. I had collected the first of five before heading to this one. I parked at the end of a short street at the foot of the hill and made my way onwards and upwards. I was rather pleased on reaching GZ that the old road wasn't still in use, which would have meant I had wasted a bit of time. Checked the most obvious spot, before moving on to make the find nearby. Had to come out this way from Gungahlin to cash in some NSW registration as this is the closest place to do it. Thought I may as well grab this quick one as it was right nearby!
I decided to ditch the owners recommendation and approached from Australis Place since it was MUCH closer to the cache.
I had to go under a fence, and climb a very steep incline which was quite tiring however it worked out well I'm not complaining and think it was worth the shorter distance! Thanks for this cache

Headed out this way again today as we had a client close by coming into the silly season.
Of course we attacked this one from the wrong direction and had the wrong shoes on for the task as well. But we got there in the end.
Quick find at GZ then on our way to find the easiest way back to the car.

A quick walk up from a close carpark. Was in the last place I looked though easy to see. Cache in good nick but I did have to evict a spider from the region. TFTC jaralah3.
#1162 4 of 5 today.
It was an unseasonably warm winter's day today. Apparently it got to 21C but it was windy. I had a lot of trouble with the GPSr today. I had to reset it 4 times and it was hard to get a good fix. Accuracy was at best 15M. I parked a the bottom of the hill & climbed up the rather steep bank to the old highway. I remember this ! I've been up here more than a few times when it was the road out to Bungendore.

A quick stroll up from Cooper Lane. Muggles have found the book and I ripped out a page of obscene grafitti The cache however was fine.. TFTC.
More Ridge walking for me and Freda, the Ridgeo-pup. I started from Hill Lane and walked down as I thought this would be an easier walk. I was sure I met another cacher walking up the track in a Dr Who Tee-Shirt and smiled and said g'day [8)]. If he was, he didn't sign the log today. TFTC jaralah3
