Had a great day at Mt. Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and Bear Country USA. Visiting from Virginia. Thanks for the Earth Cache (my very first one). If it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have bothered to go into all the exhibits and read up on the monument.

Greetings from NZ!
A wet day with zero visibility so we mist the view Sad but enjoyed the visitors centre and learnt lots about the Presidents of The USA, thank you.

Visiting the Black Hills from Rochester Hills, MI. We spent a few hours at Mt. Rushmore on 6/2 during the day, then again on 6/3 for the evening ceremony. Unfortunately, the monument was fogged in for the lighting. It did give off an interesting glow. Will post pix and e-mail responses.

Being somewhat handicapped, we elected not to pay the $11.00 and will try and answer the questions via email in a few days. We are on x/country geo-tour from So. Car to Wash. Tks for the fun

This was a bucket list destination. We came from central Oklahoma via Mingo Kansas. Wanted for a long time to visit and explore here. Glad we finally made it. The monument is so awesome and the last surviving monument carver is here in the gift shop.

This was a very nice Earthcache! Made a half day adventure here...got rained on slightly, but it was worth it. Since we visited on Memorial Day, it was even more memorable. TFTC! Smile

This road trip was hatched about a year ago by Tycoon Otto and myself. The original plan was to go back down to the US and hit some power trails, but it morphed into a 13 day, 17,500km geo-odyssey. During this road trip I had several highlights:

1) Got my 7,000th cache and well onto my way to 8,000.
2) Signed 1,026 caches in a single day (HMD power trail California).
3) Visited 18 states in one single 24 hour period.
4) Got 12 different cache types in a single day.
5) Visited "Mingo" the oldest active cache in the world.
6) Signed 1,548 caches during this 13 day period.
7) Cached in 48 states.

More importantly, there were several memories and sites I will never forget. I thoroughly enjoyed the town of St. Charles, Missouri and Cadillac ranch on Route 66.

I will post a picture of our track log in GCZ02V (Seeing Seagulls) and GCMQ1X (Weigh up), the first and last caches in this road trip.

As always caching with Tycoon Otto was a blast. Thanks again for a great caching experience.

To all the cache owners that made this possible, thanks for the cache and happy caching!!!

US14 ET Highway Trip with Sol de Lune and Mtrax. Day 21. Time to cross a few more US states of the list for Caching, starting in Casper, Wyoming. Our main reason for coming to Rapid City was of course Mt Rushmore, but that did not stop us from getting a good bit of caching done. Not to mention an awe inspiring visit to the Crazy Horse Monument. A huge work in progress. Mt Rushmore is an amazing place and we had fun collecting the information for this cache. E-mail sent by Sol de Lune for all three of us. Thanks.

Staying in Rapid City and making a day trip to Mt Rushmore and aloop back to the city, enjoying the wonderful scenery along the way weather was perfect.

Greetings from Canberra Australia.
Logged as "SAM" which is a team of three Sol De Lune, Albida33 and Mtrax. Visiting the US as a team for the 2nd time, our mission to complete the ET series but before and after do some more exploring and geocaching along the way. Our tour starts around Barstow and a few days in Las Vegas before caching over to 29 Palms before hitting the ET Highway straying at Rachel and Tonapah.
Our second stage of our trip saw us doing a loop around Wyoming, Nebraska, South & Nth Dakota and Montana before finishing back in Los Angles, our finds for the trip totalled well over 4,000 geocaches.
