So checked this one tonight to discover that the structure has had a maintenance and as a result the cache has disappeared. As we dont head this way to often any more have decided it is time to archive this one.
Another case of cache-blindness, no luck for us at this one today, though the machine certainly was interesting
Great feature here.8 of us spent 15 minutes checking every nook and cranny.Too good for us today
Swung by this one on the traditional Friday commute and cache. Found it after a bit of a poke around. What a bespoke contraption this is. Would be interesting to see it in action.
After approx 5 attempts we finally found this sneaky little guy! What a relief
Looked for about 10 minutes and couldn’t find it. Looking at the log, it might take a few more attempts before I’m successful - next time I’m in the area I’ll have another try.
DNF. A lot of muggles around this part of the trail. I thought I had it, but couldn't quite remove it. Will try again.
Beautiful spot and a very cleaver hide. Plenty of nooks and crannies to hide things in but as it turns out the cache was hidden in a very smart location. Great fun and some amazing history
What a cool place! Found cache fairly quickly (compared to the DNF last cache) after being pointed in the right direction by a few recent logs. Cache was wet but log was dry, tried to dry it out as much as possible in the damp conditions. Great location, well executed cache, great job! TFTC!️0
Out for a ride this afternoon with the boys and Uncle Pacman.
It was nice to mix things up with a little history. Would be interesting to see this in operation. Cache needed a good inspection high and low before spotted. Kids enjoyed playing here while we looked. Thanks for adding this spot to the map.

After 2 other unsuccessful cache hunts today, Afrobug finally found our first cache of the day.
Cool spot, tftc.

Finally! This was probably my 4th or 5th attempt at this one. I really need to invest in a GPS! I’ve previously scoured over, under and around the bridge but started at the main attractions this time and got into every nook until BAM!

Well went straight to it after spending lots of time here Thurs (def suffering cache blindness). Actually don’t know how I missed it but was focused on wrong objects. Tftc
I had a day to fill in Melbourne so what better way than to pick up a few choice caches
I didn't realise that there are so many bike paths in and around Melbourne, this was a nice ride indeed. finding caches just added to the enjoyment
Nice spot for a cache, took a little while to spot but I was looking in the right spot so finally spotted it

Loving caching along the merri Creek. I lived in Brunswick years and years ago and this was my stomping ground...so so nice to be back and enjoy it again and see all they've done to continually improve it. Thanks so much for the cache
Found shortly before I was going to leave and try again another time. Photo as no pen on this walk. TFTC
Quick find at GZ. Love the litter trap and never knew this cool little spot was here. Surprisingly not busy given a lovely Sunday afternoon. TFTC
Great hiding spot. We agree that using the satellite image helped us find it! TFTC
Yippee, took me over 30 minutes but persistence and relying on satellite view not distance indicated got me there in the end. A great hide, thanks
It’s either missing or I’m a shit finder either one. Was an awesome spot though!!
This one just stumped us today. We persisted for about 15 mins, then it got a bit too hot. We will be back for another try soon. Hopefully will be on our geocache game next time.
Checked this one today and cache is still there with a brand new log untouched since November last year. It may take a well trained eye to spot it but it is in view.
It would have been handy to have a hint for this one as there are multiple hiding possibilities in the area ️

Went to check this one to find the cache missing however we did find a previous version of the hide so replaced the log and adjusted to the co-ordinates to reflect the new hiding place.

Logging this as a DNF for now. After a reasonable search, sent a message to the CO and got a quick response. A call to the help desk provided further detail on the location of the cache, but it seems likely that it has disappeared during lockdown. Look forward to coming back to find this one in due course. It was great to learn a bit of local history in any case.
Now we are allowed to go out for any reason Geocaching is now allowed so enabling our caches
Due to the covid lockdown in Melbourne we are disabling all affected caches. If anyone logs a find during this period logs will be deleted
With restrictions lifted enough to now allow geocaching am enabling all our caches
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis. We are being asked to stay at home. Geocaching is a game and we are dealing with a serious health issue so please stay at home.
We are being responsible and disabling all our caches until this crisis passes.

Wow this one tricked us, we were looking at some of the photos that were very misleading!!! The co-ordinates are quite accurate - thanks for the cache!!
Well this one has got me, no luck today but will be back! GPS was bouncing around due to the power lines.
Visiting Ceres with a few international guests. Left them to explore while I did my own exploration in this natty nook. TFTC
'Stumbled' onto this interesting structure while chasing the last of the Parkville Mega caches. After reading about the location the search started - above, below, around. Twenty minutes later still nothing.
Should have gone to specsavers.
Thanks anyway 80degrees.

I groaned when I saw GZ. So many potential hiding spots. Luckily, it was a very quick find. Interesting spot. This cache also helps me with a Beatles themed challenge cache where I need to find Beatles related words and Quarry is on the list so thanks.
Didn't realise where we were until we got a little closer. Last visit this was a DNF. Change of luck today and the cache was quickly located. Thanks for placing a cache here and showing us this area.
So pleased to be able to turn this into a smile at last. Was great to learn about this area. Thanks for the cache.
I’ve returned after a long while and I’m happy to say have finally found this cache. It’s a beauty. So many nooks and crannies. Perfect spot. Found quite quickly this time. I was looking in completely the wrong spot last time . Tftc!
DNF - was in the area for 15 minutes, but could only spent about 5 non-consecutive minutes looking - very busy

What a great little piece of history you have bought us to. Bunadoorian and I came here to try and find this one to keep our daily streak going as one near-by was a DNF tonight. I will have to come back in the daylight to explore this area some more. Bunadoorian found the cache while I was taking in the surrounds. TFTC and the history lesson 80degrees. This is what I enjoy about geocaching - finding, seeing, learning about places/things I never knew existed. A favourite from me.
Grub62 and I were out this way trying to find a different cache which end up being a DNF. This cache was found in good condition and as per the description. An interesting area and well worth the visit. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC.
As I was on fire I thought I would try this one and spotted it pretty quickly - not sure if that was where it was meant to be but it was a relatively easy find?! TFTC!
TFTC Found with Whereswayneo. Nice hide!! Signed log & RAF.
Visiting from Townsville QLD.

I have noticed this cache on my GPSr many times when I have been out this way and knowing the CO I knew it would be a good hide but I have always been in a rush to get home. [8)]
I had visited a friend in Brunswick today and had a window of opportunity to look for this cache so I parked in Victoria St and wandered along the trail to GZ. I initially searched the wrong level. Once on the correct level I spotted the cleverly camo'd cache, retrieved it and signed the log at 4:15 pm. TNLN.
Thanks 80degrees for a great hide in a wonderful historical location. After finding the cache I had a squiz at the remains of the old quarry and then had a lovely walk beside the Merri Creek. [^]

Nice job on the camouflage here, it obviously tricks a lot of cachers. We found it quite quickly and admired the litter trap and other interesting features at the site. Favourite point for this one. SL at 2.42pm #6264. We have spent the Queen’s Birthday weekend in Melbourne and will be heading home to Wangaratta later this afternoon. TFTC 80degrees
Late logging for this one as my battery went flat great find after dinner with Kristy and Andrew TFTC
Took a while... we thought it was something else but then realized it was right next to it. TFTC
A fun find! Quite nicely hidden cache in an obvious spot!! Log is a very wet...
I was wandering along the share path this morning looking for a few caches. This one rather intrigued me, and I enjoyed looking at the infrastructure here. Very interesting piece of history. I have to admit this cache had me going for quite a while, and it was more luck than judgement that I found the cache. I'm not sute what prompted me to look there. Signed log and replaced as found. TFTC and the fun
Starting to find needs maintenance comments disrespectful. Just because you can't find it doesn't mean it's not there. There are power lines overhead and this can throw gps readings.
Found in under a minute. If anyone is having issues with writing in wet paper, then get yourself a pen like mine, writes on wet paper, under water, upside down and in space...

Even with the recent string of DNFs, I had a look for 10 minutes but had no luck. Maintenance suggested
Checked on this yet again. We do not understand what is so hard about this cache. This should be a 1.5 however have raised it to a 3 in light of constant DNF's. The cache is located in plain sight we can only assume that people are using their phones. Be aware that high voltage power lines overhead can throw GPS readings off. If you think you have exhausted all possibilities then please message for a help desk.
Heureka!
It’s either the muggles or the weather, if not cache blindness that may make you come here more than once
Nice cache at a nice place

This took us a while, but it was the first cache we’ve found ourselves. This was very satisfying to find. Thanks!
Cache replaced and put in its correct position. Cachers please replace the cache as found and remember that this log is rainwrite paper so even if wet can be written on.
