After arriving in Tocumwal and looking around at the caches in and around town, we noticed this one didnt have the yellow smiley face on it for us. Now changing this to smiley faces as we had found this when we were here many years ago, unfortunately, for some unknown reason, just forgotten to log it, that did happen for us before in the days of the trusty old gps (find and log later when you get the chance on the computer ) and not like the new phone apps of todays technology. We can remember driving out here, having a great look around, exploring the areas, theres so much history out here in Tocumwal.TFTC

Hiking out here today and knowing there was a geocache nearby, we made the quick find of a logbook in an empty pot for a plant. TFTC.

Whilst camped nearby at Mywee with The4wdShed we thought we'd go for a drive to grab some caches This was a quick easy find however the container is broken in half. We have put log in zip lock inside its remains . Thanks.

Well, I got a bit lost driving in to GZ. And was trying to avoid a couple of vehicles parked in the bush as maybe the owners up to no good. As mentioned h the previous log the track gets sketchy, so I went bush. Spotted the hide on approach and was soon back on the track... Whew!

Drove around the entire park looking around. Finally found a nice quiet sandy beach for my much needed Murray dip. Oh yes, the cache, missed seeing the last part of the track in so parked and legged it. Easy find thanks.

Track was fine coming in today, but l would imagine it would be a quagmire if it was wet. Glad l came before the rains that are expected soon. Cache found in good condition

Away for a few days caching and trying out some rough camping in a swag and OZREG's newly decked out 4WD ute. With no set plan but taking the opportunity to grab a few finds along the way as we weaved our way down the back tracks, heading down the great Murray River. Enjoyed the drive down the river and taking a few diversions along the way. Interesting to see the different agriculture, crops and landscapes along the way but if it wasn't for the river, it would be a very different story, as it is in the dry areas, further a field. We made some great discoveries, clever hides and generally enjoyed the caches we found, which took us to some interesting places, that we wouldn't probably see if it wasn't for caching. We had a few good laughs along the way.

This was a interesting little parkland. Enjoyed the drive and wander around the area. This find was made after a short search.

Thanks Blacklegend for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

Apology for generic log. With approx 70 Caches to log and not recalling details of many, the most important point I must stress is................. THANKS ALL CACHE OWNERS for their efforts, because if not for you, so many wonderful places would not have been encountered to appreciate. Our fantastic time would not have been either.
Happy Feet 1 and I had a wonderful 3 days (Oct 5-7) cache trekking around the Murray Region from Howlong to almost Barmah.
HF1 with her skills, dedication, and helpful retrieving devices made a significant addition to my cache tally.
I felt like a circus act a few times.
Despite us both having a conflicting trait or two, we thoroughly enjoyed each others company and had quite the success we were aiming for.
Even catching out a member not being truthful or honest to himself or others in regards to caching etiquette.
The period of camping certainly helped in defining all the areas of my camping vehicle that needed modifying or improving upon. Having the annex fall upon my companion was not something I was proud of. Pheeew!! No harm done.
Again, thanks to CO's.

5641 Found by baby&Mrs gopher at 1040. The further we headed into the forest the more muddy the tracks became. We drove to within 400 metres of gz. It is a pleasant day for a walk along the tracks so off we went . In the lagoon a water-rat was playing amongst the dead trees in the water. SL Tnx Blacklegend

After getting the other cache near here I couldn't seem to get any closer than 600m to this one until I was almost back at the entrance and was able to find another track in. It wouldn't be hard to get lost here without a gps.
Thanks.

#2959 Unfortunately there haven't been many visitors to this location which is a bit of a shame, it deserves more. We were fortunate that we brought the 4WD today as there were some quite deep puddles along the tracks altough the tracks were quite firm so we had no concerns with getting bogged. Given the flooding we saw at Cobram/Barooga, we were very happy to arrive at GZ and see it high & dry. A tranquil area that we had to ourselves, thanks for bringing us here BL [^]

#624 on day 175 of continuous caching after a small day yesterday this was set to be a bigger day after going to Yarrawonga MacDonald and finding their WiFi to be a little lacking I asked one of the employees there and he told me about a Laundromat that had a WiFi hot spot so off i went and collected a few more geocaches for the gps and started to work my way toward the days goal of at least 50 and yes I got there and added 1 for good measure.

26 of 51 for the day and this was my biggest day yet. I am begging to wish I had bought a 4WD work truck instead of a 2WD one as this tracke was a little wet and having almost got myself stuck once today it was time to not risk the possibility of getting really stuck. So having come this far it was time to go for a walk the distance being only 1.2 klms it was just a stroll. Arrived at GZ to find the container on the ground and fully exposed so the find was made and checked the logs and saw that it has been some time since last visited so collected the TBs signed the log and was on my way.

Thanks Blacklegend for a great adventure.

With the family in the car we were headed on up to Cobram for a couple of days to visit Great Nanna who we hadn't seen for a while. We stopped in Seymour on the way for our standard Maccas lunch stop where we had a good feed and a stretch of the legs before continuing on.
This morning I dropped the mrs of at a girlfriends place in Tocumwal and I had the morning to head out with my two boys to grab a few more caches I hadn't found yet in the area.
First find of the cache for over two months and we had a great time 4WDving to GZ. We got there and were searching for the cache when we heard some motor bikes nearby. We stopped looking but the bikes went down a nearby track. A bit more looking and Tyler and Coops soon had the cache.
Log signed and TB dropped.
Great spot and thanks for the hide.

FTF ... Headed off after work and thought well I hope I get this before it gets dark, not knowing what the terrain was like. Drove the car in a little way until I came to the first large water filled holes and parked it and headed off on foot. It was a great walk in the bush, seeing a couple of roo's on the side of the billabong and a bit of exercise after working in the office all day could only do me good. Found the cache, logged it, inspected the golf ball in it then place it safely back in its cubby hole. Sun was setting as I walked back to the car, what a great end to the day ... Thanks Blacklegend for another cache and walk in the great Aussie bush. Big Grin
