Thanks, interesting place I never knew of. The box needs renewing as it is not waterproof anymore.
Found it, however the box was completely empty Needs maintenance Really cool one to find, I didnt know the ladder even existed!

All the years I lived in Albany I never knew that this was here thanks for hiding a cache here got me of the beaten track to find something really interesting in the area, TFTC
Cool spot! Found a dead turtle in the fish elevator so we spent half an hour cleaning the gunk out of all the doors, please help the water flow & save lives!!
Easy find, quite interesting over there. Geocache was out in plain site so hid it back.
Amazing little spot, tried to find a few days ago with no luck went back again after checking the hint and found pretty quickly TFTC
We are taking some time off over the Christmas holidays to travel around the South Coast of WA starting at Esperance and heading west.
Heading out to Two Peoples Bay and I missed the turn off for this one so I was going to give it a miss but on the way back I saw the track I should have taken so we followed it.
We reached the fish ladder to find a couple of locals marroning. Ther season opened at midday and it was 12;04. They knew about the cache and help guide me towards it.
This was find number 2 for the day.

Quick easy find. Thanks for bringing us to this amazing place we probably never would have found. Very cool
Found with bigSalmon1. What a fabulous idea and structure helping Mother Nature and its treasures TFTC
Wow!! What a fantastic construction we are impressed found cache with mandate7 on a still Sunday evening TFTC
What a fantastically interesting location. A big thank you McFonz for bringing us here. Fave point awarded
In Albany for the long weekend and this one sounded interesting!! Hadn't seen anything quite like this before! Thanks MCFonz!
Found while out and about from our nearby camp. What an interesting cache description! Tftc
What an interesting place. The fish ladder is a clever idea and I have seen them used in other places. Thanks for taking us to this little gem.
Staying in Albany for a few days, we were headed further eastward but our Nuvi had taken us down a crazy dead end road so a quick change of plans for the day we found ourselves here
First up we checked out the ladder before ducking over to make a quick find of the prize... Thanks for showing us this unique spot MCFonz & TFTC!

What a great little lesson on fish ladders! We’ve never seen or heard of it before so great to go see it and how it works. Flies in their masses today but better then than seeing snakes
Bumpy drive to the cache and ended up smashing a plate in the campervan! Very interesting to see the fish ladder!! TFTC
Down in Albany to have a crack at a big walk in the stirlings tomorow, I had an appointment in Forrestfield this morning and then drive down with a brief stop in Arthur River for a drink. Arriving in Albany a bit earlier than I had or planned so I had some time to grab a couple of caches out to the East of Albany.
I attempted the cache at Manypeaks Hall, having found the old Jaydreams cache there many years ago which must now be archived.
After that I attempted the Fish Ladder, a Cache that I couldn’t find the track to some years ago, but found it first time and drive within 20m of it. An absolutely fascinating site that has some very useful information and the first fish ladder I’ve ever seen. Thanks for highlighting it McFonz.

Geo-hubby's birthday so we decided to do the walk along the Kalgan track on a beautiful autumn day and pick up a few other caches in the area. This one was a little further afield but we were intrigued by the description and wanted to check it out. Arrived at gz to find two scientists from UWA set up within 5 mts. They were gathering samples of inhabitants of the river and checking water quality. No problem finding the container as it was exposed. Replaced badly gnawed original container and returned according to the hint. Thanks MCFonz
Thanks for bringing us to the area the family enjoyed it. Cache needs some tlc as rodents have eaten away the cache so it's no longer water proof. Have wrapped the container in the plastic to protect it but probably won't last long. Tftc.
Found it while spending the holidays in Albany.
Quick park and grab, quiet spot.

This is one we intended to do once before but couldn't as we had geodog with us. I'm glad we eventually got round to it though because as others have said it's an interesting and fascinating location on our doorstep that we would otherwise have overlooked, In fact, we were so absorbed in the information about the feature and watching the water rushing through at a rate that I doubt it has for some time, that we almost forgot to do the cache!
The cache container appears to either have been nibbled around the top and bottom by the resident bandicoots or it's decaying. However, the log and contents were dry but the container will need replacing so that the cache remains intact and will continue to attract many others to witness this great spot. TFTC

Thanks for the Cache, have walked part of this track before but never that far in. Be careful around GZ as there is a bandicoot that lives nearby if you are quiet you may see him. This is the closest Cache to my house only 6km in a straight line.
Great location had seen these before however geowife had not seen these ladders before! Liked the effort put in to make the ladder and the way the fish can swim up to get to breeding areas! tftc!
Awesome place thanks for bringing us here never seen a gauging station before or even heard of one great little spot a fav for me oh and a nice quick and easy find in the rain. TFTC
Amazing what you find only 10 minutes from home. Great walk. Interesting spot. Thank you
you never know where you are going to end up or what you are going to see when you are out geocaching nice.
As we were in the area today we decided we may as well take the walk to this one as well. It's an interesting spot to visit.
What a beautiful spot that I never even knew existed!
After walking up hills, through the bush and along a beach to reach previous cache finds for the day, the bush walk to get to this cache was lovely.
After making the find I had a look around and marvelled at the fish ladder. How cool.
Thanks for the cache MCfonz and thanks for bringing here

This falls into the category of 'places-I-would-never-have-seen-if-it-wasn't-for-geocaching!'
While duckrunner made a quick find of the well placed cache I inspected to fascinating fish ladder. What a marvellous thing. The little fishes should be very grateful. The Corolla copped a good dose of underbrushing from the underbrush growing down the centre of the track in! Took the 'Super=Duper Racer' TB for a ride to Denmark.

What a great little area and what an idea.. didn't get to hear the yellow box tick..TFTH
What a fantastic place. Got it at work but will definitely take the kids there for another look. TFTC
Needed a break from home, so took the tribe of kids and went for a bush walk. It is not often I wish I had a 4wd, but I wasn't quite game to take the little Hyundai all the way in... Great walk, fascinating little structure, which to the delight (or disgust) of the kids had a dead roo hanging off the weir Nearly forgot to look for the cache, but ended up being a very quick find thanks to spot on coords!
Left a TB, hoping that it won't get lost like the other 4 "in" the cache. - Wish people would educate themselves and then play the game fair and square, without pinching tb's
Thanks for a great little walk and another smiley on the map MCFonz!

I should have headed home yesterday, but decided to stay another day and do some more exploring. This cache came highly recommended, and I wasn't disappointed. Fascinating place. Took some photos and rescued the trackable that was in the cache. Thanks for showing me this place MCFonz
PS The other trackables in the cache inventory are no longer there, so perhaps they should be marked as missing??

I have been meaning to do this one for a while now and finally got to it - pretty impressive idea. TFTC.
Headed south for a relaxing road trip with the Western Patrol Club and a mate. We stayed at Cheynes Beach before heading across to West Cape Howe and then into the Stirling Ranges for our last few nights. Beautiful coast line, awesome hills, great fishing, and some good 4wding. Gotta love this state of ours.
Well this was an interesting piece of engineering to see. TFTC

Traveled down to Albany and the Stirling ranges area with a mate at Easter, did this cache as part of a whole heap. Great way to see the fantastic areas on show. Good to see some really interesting areas hidden away.
Very interesting piece of waterways technology.

Really interesting place, that I have never heard about. Another great reason for geocaching...takes you to some really cool places. TFTC Latest log in the book was from Dept of Fisheries.....please alert them if you see marron traps/nets in the river. Guess he/she must have known where to find the cache.
Very interesting place. Enjoyed reading about the fish ladder and how it all works. TFTC
Decided to go to two peoples bay for lunch with a few families. On the way back went to do this cache. Interesting place didn't even know that it was here. TFTC
Tftc easy find on a lovely day. Dropped off a tb and gc. The container has holes in it. May need changing before winter happy new year
We walked in from the main road, and enjoyed a pleasant stroll, despite getting some wet feet (my own fault really!) while negotiating a large puddle where the track was completely flooded. As the Southern Boomers noted, wildflowers are already starting to appear in this area, and there's some beauty to be seen already. Can't help wonder what the trout minnows think of the fish ladder, and whether it actually works for them. Seems like a clever concept in theory though. We loved coming here - this cache is a superb example of a little known location that we'd never know about if it weren't for geocaching. Huzzah, and TFTC McFonz!
Went out for a drive this afternoon and found this cache. A great spot, interesting concept and we would love to see it in action. Thanks for bringing us to this place.
A bonus was the great array and display of wild flowers. I suppose in the next few week it will be a great area to visit. Thanks MCFonz
