Time to put this one to bed - it is amazing that it has lasted this long in its exposed position. Thanks to all who have taken the time and effort to log a find.

Found just lying in the paddock very exposed. Managed to reach under the fence to get it. Have placed next to fence post but still very exposed.

#1795 A quick find of a nearby cache to complete our calendar for December. Some nice unimpeded views across Wang to the high country. Now onwards into town for some supplies before returning home to relax. Thanks for maintaining this cache Harrowang.

Suscoe had a delightful day out in the Wangaratta, Glenrowan, Winton and Benalla area today enjoying the caches placed and the varying country side.
Today was a very warm day and we certainly appreciated some gentle breezes from time to time. however the sunshine was fairly intense from time to time.
This was our 13th find of the day
All was fairly quiet here.
We were impressed with the view both ways.
Thanks to Harrowang for placing this cache out here.

Find #26, Great views as the listing mentions. This was a tricky find, missed it on my first two sweeps of the area, but then went back for another look as my partner in crime chatted to a friendly local muggle mowing the lawns asking if we were lost, and i found it, good camouflage. The muggle thought geocaching sounded like a good way to see the countryside, and I must agree having seen more of my local area today and some places I've never been to before. TNLN SL TFTC Smile

Owner maintenance - replaced broken lid and mouldy log book. All good again. Thanks for alerting us DocNWitchjy.

08-Sep-14
Doc nearly gave up on this one when it was actually fairly easy to find. Replaced the bag as it was rather wet inside and the log is a bit mouldy. The lid of the container is cracked too. Dried it out as much as possible and then replaced it. TFTC

We have always done our best to make all our logs original and not do the cut and paste thing. Today, however, we have 91 caches to log and i cant really see myself sitting down and typing out that many original logs.
Our aim when we head off in the morning was for 100 caches, unfortunately we didn't quite make that number. We did get 91 and had a great time doing so.
Our day started out with roughly a 25km bike ride from Old Tallangatta to the Sandy Creek Bridge. This was followed by a few more stops on the rail trail before spending the rest of the afternoon running around Wangaratta.
We had a great day and send our thanks to all the C.O's who provided the great caches we visited.

Wangaratta Area 2013 with Mtrax. As we moved around the outskirts of town we gathered caches as we went. It was good to see the farmland and the cattle all looking pretty good this year. Thanks.

Day. 2. A geocaching weekend trip from Canberra to the Wangaratta area with Albida , The weather was warm and it was interesting driving around the area plenty of site to see, hmm this had us scratch our heads as GZ was pretty much in no-mans land.. so had to expand the search and bingo after some wider searching found it.

25-Feb-13
On a warm Wangaratta caching day, I had reached the limits of my ride for the day, it was time to find this cache and head home Razz
At 1:00 pm could I have picked a less shady or more hot place to look for a cache ?
Probably not [xx(]
I rolled up to the lighpole on the bike and stood in the column of shadow that it provided Smile
Hey nice views [^]
If it were not so hazy I can imagine there would have been distant mountain ranges visible on the other side of the valley too Razz
Ah well, you can't have everything !!
A cache find would be nice though Big Grin
I wandered around looking for one.
The midday sun had been playing tricks on my caching mind for the last few finds.
Or maybe it was just the evil cache hiding methods employed by the locals ?
After 5 hot minutes I decided that this cache was not here.
There was nothing here, except a lightpole and a fence Sad
Oh and views Big Grin
As I turned to leave, I had a thought.
Wandered over to a random spot and found the cache [:o]
Why does that keep happening today ?

Wangaratta syndrome I guess [:o)]

TFTC and views.

# 2852. After riding and walking to caches in the Warby Ranges earlier in the day with Robmc, we now had chewinprickles on board for a few more.

I had attempted this one at the end of October before the coordinates were updated. Today we pulled up near the lamp post, I hopped out and walked straight to it. Good camouflage. The views across to the mountains were pretty good today although we saw more smoke billowing up in the distance. TFTC

This was, cache # 22 of 85 finds for the day in the Company of Trailrunning. Not sure if this was a coincident but the near by post had a purple tag on it, once we trusted the gps and ignored the obvious location the cache was soon found. My thanks to purpledreamer (adopted by Harrowang) for the cache.

After a great Christmas at home with the kids, the girlfriend and I headed up to her sister's place in Lima. After a few windy and hot days up there I get a call from my fellow The Demolition Crew team member RebelActs who syas he'll be visiting the area with CrazyNatGirl! We decide to plan a day of caching in the Wangaratta area, and hit the easy drive-by's. I'm so sorry for the generic log, but given I'm over 200 logs behind (no internet or pc for the last few weeks) this is all I can manage. Thanks to all the CO's and their efforts.

Found by Mary & David at 1630. An appropriate name for this spot. So sad to remember that purpledreamer is no longer here. Hope there are (purple) caches in heaven. Loved the gum trees nearby with white branches and white gum nuts - think they are called Silver Princess, and must have been planted here. Our thanks to Harrowang.

Coordinates changed from:
S 36° 21.597 E 146° 14.414

Coordinates changed to:
S 36° 21.591 E 146° 14.411

Distance from original: 39.3 feet or 12 meters.

Having recently adopted this cache we thought we would check on the co-ords as numerous logs mentioned they were out somewhat.

Hope this helps those who have posted a DNF in the past.

We have also replaced the cache container with a more waterproof one.

Decided to head this way for a couple of purpledreamers caches. Even though this was wide open space with blue skies the GPS was getting me nowhere closer than 5mt. With only a wide expanse of grass, a power pole and a fence with long grass next to it I decided to not waste time here but head on home. Another day perhaps.

6th on a days raid in the Warbys with Big Ez.

Was almost glad this was a drive by as the legs were a bit tired from the walks and rides in the hills earlier. Good views for such an easy spot to get to. Took some scratching around before it was finally located by Big Ez.

No.2 find whilst taking the two grandchildren out to find a few 'treasures'. Isaac (aka Cicada) soon spotted this one - it's the purple containers you know! Found and logged at 10.30am. One of 7 for the day on a quick hour of caching in the Wangaratta area. Wife had the baby this morning, and i made it to the hospital ok, so after all the business was done, i decided to celebrate with a few caches before heading home.

Last for the day, nice drive out beside the Warby Ranges, and a short hunt needed before the cache was located. TFTC.

What a peaceful spot to end a days caching. The sun had almost set and the cape weed had closed for night. Unfortunately today the satellites had the GZ on private property, 11m south of where we found the cache! Accuracy is really important when a cache is placed close to private property - perhaps the CO might like to check the co-ords.

TNLN . . SL . . Thanks for the hunt purpledreamer.
