Cache has been broken for over 2 years now with a maintenance log, no response from CO, cache is on private property.Think its time to archive
This needs to be archived if the cache is broken/ dead and the cache owner no longer plays.
I found the cache, but broke it. Logbook disappeared down into the bowels of the earth. Whoops. I have contacted CO but they may not play anymore. I am happy to repair, but it is a bit of a dodgy placement.
#8849 (1 of 11 today - including 2 Adventure Labs)
I am terribly behind in my logging. It's getting close to five months since I regularly reported on the caches I've found. YIKES! Well, at least I'm currently only 3 months behind.
To be honest, while I still find searching for caches fun, I'm finding logging less so. But I have to log to get me stats and souvenirs, so...
In this time only the Adventure Labs found and my First2Finds have been written up - don't want people racing out when it's already been snaffled.
But I've been busy finally getting ready to move into our new house - now in and I'm still coming to terms with the extra room/rooms!
But I did still try to find time to cache on the days that my 2022 goal of 16 finds per caching day demanded I find something. In fact, for the most part my modus operandi has been to actually aim for 20. So far I've only failed on that a few times, and only by 1 find. Amazingly I'm on track for 19 finds per day, but somehow I expect that will eventually prove too hard as I have to travel a good distance if I want more than a cache a day.
Anyway. thanks to all the CO's who are getting short shrift from my generic logs. I hope to eventually get back to them and flesh them out, but no promises.
I've found some fun Traditionals and solved some interesting, but not impossible puzzles. And Multis and other cache types have been grabbed where possible.
###END OF GENERIC ABJECT GROVELLING SECTION###
Up to the Central Coast - which I've been neglecting lately - to grab enough finds to satiate the Caching Gods. Nine physical and two ALs seemed to do the job. I even picked up some puzzles I'd solved a while ago.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
If I have any specific cache comments I'll add them here. Don't hold your breath, though.

Found with Shaneo58 picking up some caches in the Central Coast area. With temperature get up to the mid thirties. Nice cache idea, pitty it is in a potentioal danger zone.
Signed log and Cache replaced as found.
**Thanks For The Cache** GobieAndCorvus.
This makes the 6th cache of 7 for today making a grand total of 3451 at 2:05PM on this Thursday the 10th of February in the Year 2022

Apologies for my very late log that I’ve been holding onto to write up something special but a lot of time has passed since.
Was working on a house on scenic drive and cached around the area that day.

Wow! It's so awesome. However do not try and climb down the hill like I did to the tyre haha. Easier to find that it seems
Hidden well. Creative way to get the logs. Took a little alien from the container to join us on our adventures
This was SO CLEVER!! I loved it so much, thank you, very fun. Didn’t even see the bottom peg as the hint describes, but the top one worked!
Went too low and found a tyre but no other car bits. Wandered further and looked up to where I needed to be. I'm not sure that everything is still working as designed but I get the idea. Thanks Allturners.
Found on an overcast Tuesday afternoon, TFTC
PS, coordinates are fairly accurate. Easy find, but does need maintenance

Like everyone else once you scramble down a bit it becomes obvious. Found with Taylapearce3 and GeoJess. TFTC and bringing me to new spot on the coast.
Final day of our staycation we searched for this jem. Might need a little maintenance though
I like to keep geocaches active unless it’s really necessary. But this one has had several people log it as needing maintenance and not functioning as it should. According to the CO’s profile they haven’t logged in since February and are living in Queensland.
What a beautiful spot, up here with the bell birds. Gorgeous day today, made the most of it. Thanks for the hike and the creative cache. Hopefully it gets fixed soon so it works as intended. Great idea TFTCSL
I needed a cache before work today. I arrived at GZ and cursed the fact I had left the bushmans in the car. The Mozzies were savage and made it hard to concentrate. after circling around for a while I realised where I had to be and scrambled down a little. Then it became obvious where the cache was. As others have said the cache needs some maintenance as it doesn't operate as intended . I hope the CO can fix the issue as it is a creative cache and we need more of those on the coast. Thanks for the cache Allturners tnln replaced as found sl
Arrived at GZ but wasn't sure about the T2.5 but where else could it be. A bit of down scrambling and it was spotted. Container is damaged and no longer operates as it should, pity. Cache contents were damp. needs a little TLC from CO. SLLNTN Thanks Allturners
Definitely wouldn't be here if not for the cache, but glad to make the walk in and find it. Well done. TFTC.
Adventure Monday with my geokids. They enjoyed a feed of fish and chips at the beach and then we headed up here on the way home for a quick find. TNLN TFTC

Found after a couple of attempts to find the simplest way to access the GZ area. In the end it was quite easy. The listed TB is not in the cache. I left some paper from a notebook as a replacement log until the CO can supply something more appropriate.
There were plenty of birds in the area calling. I guess their instincts knew a storm was coming.
Cache # 1667 1st of 3 for the afternoon.

The cache container is broken, so much so that the hint is not necessary. It needs urgent attention before the next big storm or the camo container will fill with water.
The log is also full but this is not so urgent as I left some paper as a standby.

Cool.
Bit of bush bashing required for this one.
Mind the leeches.
First instincts were right with this one. Headed in to GZ, Spied the car wreck, then second guessed and made a different approach. Should've kept going with the first approach.
Once you see it, you'll know it. Instincts actually work apparently.
How did that car get there anyway?
Fun cache with the kiddo.

Good hide, thanks for the cache. Geotoddler loved all of the adventure up here, very interesting place
Followed earlier post and went as far as the fence .. Saw a trail westward . Not too difficult after that . No car wreck on location . Looks like council has cleaned up .
TFTC signed log left TB swapped some goodies. Lovely walk.

Took me a while to find. Phone was sending me all over the place.
Really nice idea and mechanism. Might need a bit of maintenance.

Very cool mechanism. Took a while to find the car wreck, but once found it was straightforward!
My first gadget type cache! Didn't even know ones like these existed until I read the description of this one. I was house/pet-sitting nearby so was pretty keen to come up to this one and find out what I was in for.. Took me a minute or two to find my way around once I'd gotten to GZ.. Saw the car wreck and knew I was close but I was walking the owner's very unsure and dainty puppy dog and she wasn't overly keen on heading down from the top, so we walked around and found a geotrail that led straight there. Saw what would be the cache from the trail and it was all smiles from there! Noticed there was only the one peg and so read some logs and understood that it had been tampered with. Gently played around with it for a minute and realised what the go was, how cool! Loved this one, thanks so much for introducing me to a different type of cache and for giving me to grab while I was zookeeper for the day!
Cheers

Finally got back here after an aborted first visit back when I was a newbie. I had only time to search the top level near the car wreck then, and so knew I would probably have to widen my search this time around. I walked all the way to the gate today (almost into the gate actually ... I was too busy reading recent logs and not watching where I was) and saw a geotrail that I thought was worth checking out. I followed it down and along the next level ... and from about 15m away saw what was clearly going to be the cache, or at least its housing. It was ... it took me a few seconds to figure out what I'd have to do to extract the cache from its hidey hole and then a minute or three longer to do so, but then I was able to record my attendance in the visitor book. It's a bit of a pity that the container has been damaged by some imbecile who couldn't be bothered trying to work out how to get in, but at least it still works quite fine ... there's just no lower peg these days.
Thanks for the cache l3raeden ... you did a good job ... well done!

Found 2:26 pm with AuroraEve. I wanted to keep my streak going but still feeling crook from a cold I decided to look for something after visiting the doctor. AuroraEve needed to have something dropped off at school so I then looked for possibilities near there and this cache came up. So after the doc and she dropped her item off we headed over to here to look for the cache. Upon arriving at GZ we noted something that was a possibility and then found what I was looking for with a moment later how to extract it as well. After some unwinding I had the cache in hand I signed the log for both of us. Meanwhile AuroraEve had picked up a leech on her shoe, odd given it was fairly dry in the area. A good job on the cache. I like a little ingenuity the winder probably needs to be now held a little better. Replaced the cache as found all wound up.
Thanks for the cache. Now to see if I can find a GCA cache on the way home.

This is a clever cache which we found early today. Well done to l3raeden for providing us with a different kind of puzzle. We dropped off a TB. TFTC.
Too many leeches but was more difficult then we had thought. Worth the adventure
Streak day #56 - glad I found this one whilst it was still light. It was a very cool cache. Got eaten alive by mozzies though. I signed the last spot on the front of the log, but there is plenty of room on the back for people to keep going.
Clever hide, had fun with this one. Only one more space left on log book so perhaps consider bringing a new piece of paper.
I had pretty much ignored this one for ages as the name of the cache worried me. However it's not really a worry and I saw the quarry sign that gives the cache its name. What a shame you can't explore the quarry! There was no activity around today and indeed a tree is across the dirt road leading up. Didn't take too long to find the cache, and what an interesting cache it is! What fun! I'd recommend this one for kids if they don't mind a bit of rough bush track. Got the cache, LNTNSL, and set everything back as found. Good one Allturners, thanks for the cache!
Care underfoot as logs rotted- only nailed 3 times by mossies! Quickens the thoughts
Grabbed this in the pouring rain with a broken umbrella. Kind of surprised this is still here, but I guess to the casual observer it probably looks like rubbish. SL. TFTC.
This has been on my must-do list for ages, but somehow I never seem to be in the right place. An ingenious hide, I must say. The bottom peg was missing and I couldn't see it lying around anywhere, so I poked a thin twig through the holes, although it doesn't seem to really need it. TFTC.
GPS was all over the place, but having used my experience as a plumbers off sider for 6 years I had the cache in hand and signed. Loved it we'll done.
Found with GeoCam. Absolutely love this one! I had no idea that there was a quarry here. TFTC
Don't know about a bottom peg, but I reeled out the cache so that I could grab the container.
Think we found it although couldn't retrieve log! Taken pic as proof TFTC

Interesting area I didn't know was there...and how bright....Rounded the corner and saw the suspect location. Headed over I quickly deduced this was something I have seen before (but never found - how exciting to find one locally!)...with no effort at all the cache was mine. TNLNSL, repositioned and I was on my way. TFTC, I loved it
Well that was not in the first place I looked. Tried from another angle and suddenly, that looks interesting. Worked out what to do with it and was soon signing the log. Great effort gone into this one.

Nice hide. Managed to get to this one without being shot at. Was cautious I the snipers in the hill side. Mozzies gave me more grief than anything! TFTC cheers
I hate it when I get to the edge of something and my gps says I have another metre or two to go. I always go too far around and rarely find what in looking for. Well, this time I was pleasantly surprised. Now I get to say: as soon as I saw it, I knew that was it . Great cache. Good work. Although the hint said there were two pins. Only one now. Cache in great condition. Dry. NLNT SL TFTC oh yeah, and I got my first ever set of leeches
Another good find while on holiday in the area.
Liked the idea of the cache.
Log was wet and had-it so I left a new logsheet TFTC

Great hiding spot and container. Nice short walk. Made a swap but cant remember what as we had done so many for the day. A lot of fun with the kids.
I had a bit of a hunt for this one but found it in the end. I enjoyed the hunt. Thanks for a very clever cache. TN L kangaroo badge. Found at 2:25pm. Entered using ipad sitting next to the cache.
Found it at 7:12 am.
Walked right up to the quarry, searched and searched in the easy places but couldn't find the wrecked car. Followed the trail to its logical conclusion but missed the cache. It was hidden and so Equity walked right passed it.
Climbed all the rocks at the wreck and couldn't find and then, after almost giving up, there it was!
I really liked this cache, put it all back exactly as it was found.
Took soccer ball and placed marbles from syd.

Cache container is fixed and up and running for more people to find! Note there is a new Hint.
The lower peg has come out of one of it's holes. I was able to still work the cache, but it may become a problem in the future.
