My son asked if I could take him to Tatuanui today. I jumped at the opportunity as I knew I could collect some solved puzzles and start my scientific souvenir journey. I left Whangarei on Sunday to stay in Auckland that night and break the trip up. I was very lucky to pick up 3 ftf's on the way down to Auckland.
Today we left at the leisurely hour of 9am to avoid peak inner city traffic. These last 3 archived puzzles were the main target of the day. I was also keen to turn a few other other Hamilton puzzles into smiles. This puzzle I'd solved in September 2016. I had collected some of the others on my Mega trip to Turangi but was disappointed that the rest got archived shortly afterwards. I was hoping I'd find them today and was very pleased I did. I searched a few places behind the trees first and was about to give up when I tried one last place outside the trees. Yahoo. Thanks for this old puzzle

Out for a bike ride around Hamilton again today, enjoying the sunny weather. Had solved this previously, so made a quick find here today, TFTC
We are in the area to help our daughter shift across town. Unfortunately, the day didn't leave much time for caching and GAR was felling quite crook by the end of the day (had started off bad in the first place) and we still had a 2.5 hour trip home. So this was our final find of the day and, even if not a big caching day, nice to have had no DNFs (for a change). We will need to come back to finish of the series and see if we can't locate the extra (although missing the info on one of the caches because we couldn't find it). Thanks for yet another puzzle I had no issues solving Cats&Dragons! We'll be back in town before too much longer I hope ...
Weather in our favor today and enjoyed some much needed caching ended up with a tally just over 40 replaced logs where needed and enjoyed some good laughs over the course of the day, thanks for taking the time to place the cache.
Lol this took me the longest to solve but actually was the simpliest to do once the light went on. Busy as but came up with the goods. Tftc
Out with a friend today in Hamilton in the heat to pick up a few of these caches. We had a great morning out, TFTC
Completed the puzzles a while back and now out with a friend to find some. No problems with this one.
n Hamilton for a Daffodil show yesterday. Early start for a big day caching, a quick stop as I headed out into the country side. Thanks Cats&Dragons for the cache.
Really liked these series of code-based caches. Solved a bit ago and I'm tidying a few up today. TFTC.
It was one of those days were the rain comes and goes. When I was searching for this one, it was coming, so I made a fast find and replace. TFTC.
Solved this series a little while ago and enjoyed the variety. We decided to pick these up first as it it was still quite quiet around. Remember having a bit of a hunt around for an answer before making the solve.
Nice quick find as there was quite a bit of traffic around had to pick my time. Think I mentioned to the CO this one had gone missing but realise now that it is SC#4 that is missing. TFTC.

I've been following one of these infernal geocaching challenges I will probably never get around to going to get and worked out that I would need a large letterbox to fulfill the requirements. Another quick look revealed Hamilton would be the best bet for getting it. So last night I sat down and cracked out a few of the puzzles in this series (one I had no idea about), and today we came to get some of them on our way. Quite a fun little puzzle too, I haven't got to do this kind before, it's always nice to get to use some of the techniques you get told about online and in places like Cully Long's book.
Anyway, parked up down the ways a little from GZ and wandered back up. Thought for a moment we would be ferreting about in one of our dreaded geocache hiding places, but luckily for us the cache was easily available to be plucked from its hiding place. Quick sign here, and returned to its spot. Thanks for creating this cache and maintaining it. Great series.

Really tricky to grab with all the Wairere Extensions taking place. Luckily it wasn't covered in the soil that had been pushed up against its hiding place.
Had solved these puzzles a while ago and determined to get them to solve the final puzzle. Didn't have quite enough time to get #7 today but will be back! Thanks for the cache!
Last find of the day. Woohoo, found the whole SC series so can try to figure out the bonus!! Looking forward to rounding off the whole series, hopefully next weekend when I'll try to make it to the 18th event.
On my drive back home I was inspired with all kinds of ideas for cache placements and puzzles after finding so many cool ones today. I'll have to have a break from these addictive geo-licenses to find time to hide instead of find. Thanks again Cats&Dragons.

Another solved and found great cache and puzzle thanks for the cache Cats and Dragons
Have had this one in the solved pile for ages. A quick park & grab at GZ. Cache in good order. SL. TNLN. Now to work out the bonus...! TFTC!
Filling in time before the rugby, grabbed a few solved puzzled caches to complete a challenge.
We solved it a few weeks ago but today went hunting. Thanks for encouraging me to try these mystery caches. TFTC.
We were close by finalising another cache when we spotted this one so over we headed. Thankful of a quick find after a few DNFs. Took note of the bonus information if and when we ever head back to sort that out, TFTPC! [D:]
Solved fairly readily yesterday then located today. GZ was not quite where the final co-ordinates suggested but a bit of Geocaching nouse from 4dawn4 had the GC in hand. Tftc.

Busy road on a holiday Monday meant many muggles were watching so we had to pick our moment. Great puzzle to work on before heading out. TFtc
After a fairly full on day yesterday I decided to cruise a bit today and to take things as they come. i’d solved all the ones in this series and made a concentrated effort to find them all, giving a few trads along the way the cold shoulder. Looked in the wrong spot to start but soon had it nailed. Cheers and TFTC
A wet night for a stealthy search. Of course neighbours nearby having a party and suddenly the roads nearby got busy!! Murphy's law. Laughed and laughed while trying to look natural in a weird spot for pedestrians in the middle of the night!!! Tftc. Had fun searching for this one with my sister and fellow cacher evisser8
Found with Osbourneroadoddballs! Great little bit of fun on a rainy night! Cache location provides some shelter but had fun fossicking around for cache!
Got excited after working out the 2nd ? thingy and took off for the cache. Read the clue wrong and ended up at Te Rapa shopping centre before loading and checking co-ords ... dah. Some mothers do have 'em.
Took the day off for my birthday so off on the push bike and cache hunting. Dave's birthday bicycle bash (part 1 of . Easy find, first find from this series. Really loved the puzzles. TFTP & TFTC
We come over from Whangamata for a day out in Hamilton and the weather was fine so it was time to finish some puzzles that I had solved last year TFTC
Quickly found with Matrix10101 now we are getting these sorted. A busy spot. TFTC
It was quite hard to get to this one without being seen. Managed to get in and out quickly without being spotted. TFTC!
Fifth find in series on way to Auckland picked up geocoin needs a bit of cleaning looks like it's been wet at some stage. Very busy corner this but managed to get sign and put back without being noticed.
Another cache in the series found, just another before we have the information for the final. TFTC.
Well this turned out to be an interesting little puzzle series. We have heard Hamilton is know for its puzzles! Gunnie69 and Kaiho53 did the business on this one!
This is Day 4 of our trip to the Land of the Long White Cloud for the 2013 NZ MEGA event in Auckland. I joined Gunnie69 and Kaisho53 for a fun packed 5 days of geocaching adventures. The day was in the Waikato region doing the Kiwi Art Project caches and some others in Hamilton.

After completing the Kiwi Art Series of caches, Kaisho53, Ghostgums and I were keen to make it into Suburbia and hunt down some food. As we did though, there were icons that kept appearing on the GPS and we all know we should never drive past without giving them a crack...
We found a park just down the street for this one and wandered back up the footpath. At GZ, Kaisho53 and I both spotted the container and Kaisho53 moved in for extraction while I prepared a sticker for the log... [^] We were pleased there was not a lot of traffic around as the replacement was made, something that has worked in our favour all morning. All done here, time to move on.
Thanks for the cache Cats&Dragons.

TFTC. Well I was in MEGA land and a plan had been hatched back in CHCH to go an play with karma reprint and The Wanglers. We were not just hunting numbers, but following more high browed activities such as art appreciation and geotourism.
We drove over 600km today with two GPS's attached to the windscreen allowing for superior navigation and we had laughter every km of our journey.
This was part of our pickup in and around Hamilton. Nofeuding in our caching family today we were just having too much fun!!
Thanks Cats&Dragons for creating this puzzle.

Found by Team PWR PKT,( PurdiePurdie, TheWanglers and KarmaReprint) on a road trip to Hamilton. The start of an AWESOME day, full of caches (>160) and fun (>>160). Thanks for the fun puzzle and clever hide.
Met up with some cahing buddies, purdiepurdie and karma reprint, after I arrived in Aukland this morning at 8am. Our plan was to hit the Kiwi Art Project down south. Grab a few 'must grab' caches. Head back to Auckland register for MEGA, check into accomodation and then head north to do a trail or two. We had the best day, weather wise, snacks, caches, traffic and company. Lots of laughs were had and the caches fell like no bodies business. We completed trails, chaleenges, aided challenges, did some tourism (visited Zeelong teas), scored brownie points for at home spouses. It was nice to have completed the KAP. We picked up a few puzzles and trads on the way too.
This made for my biggest caching day 56 of 163.
Thanks for the cache.

On the hunt for my 1200th cache find today. No strategy or plan... Just driving and picking off caches as I go.
Solved this puzzle a long time ago and waiting for an opportunity to visit. The dog and I snuck into this one in between the steady stream of traffic passing by. Enjoyed this puzzle and series. TFTC.

Puzzle fairly straight forward. Took us some time to get our bearings at the cache site. Thanks
I still have no idea what that code is but I managed a solve just based on logic. A nicely themed series.

Am loving these puzzles! A real challenge and good to learn a little history along the way.. Quick easy find with madeinsane. TFTP and C
The team and I headed down to Hamilton today with the aim of completing this cool puzzle series. The solutions have been sitting in my old puzzle book for over a year now. About time to revisit Hamilton and complete the formalities on these caches, I think!
Tackled this one first up, purely because it had the most northerly coordinates. From memorary this was a straight forward solve, but was an interesting cipher to learn about. Super quick find at GZ. Cheers for the cache placement!

Tried picking this up this afternoon, but nearly got muggled so I returned to night for a quick find. Just a couple left to collect
Did some internet research on the main characters, until stumbled upon the code-cracker.
We missed the turn though, and then had to navigate our way back through the suburban streets.
However - an easy enough find at GZ. Remembered to collect the clue .

Spent the day solving some puzzles so thought I'd cross some off tonight with Z-master, #8 for the night. TFTC
Nearly finished our mission and snaffled this one between cars. TFTC!
No family feud caused by this one, my trusty device took me to it. Nicely concealed cache. TFTP & C
A quick find in a spot that could be challenging on another day but today all was well. TFTP & C
Went out at night, as it was too busy when we tried this one yesterday around rush hour. Nice easy find in the end. TFTC
so far I think I have 4, but what I do with the info in the containers is a mystery, in as much what I did with it, stored somewhere safe in my computer.
We were in Hamilton for the weekend to attend the 'Why Not An Event Cache'. We had spent several nights solving the puzzles in this series in preparation for this trip and found this one the toughest to solve. Learnt a bit of history though!! Quick Find. TFTC.
Really enjoyed all the puzzles in the series and picked this one up with Trout-fly as part of a puzzle raid in Hamilton. Thanks for the puzzle the cache and the fun.
We parked down the road a little and walked up to this one. Fairly quiet here this morning.
+ a marble, - nothing.
