I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi mitchlin
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

We searched here for over an hour and we had to give up as the cache was nowhere to be found and as it hasn’t been seen for 4 months I don’t even know if it would still be there? Any idea from the cache owner would be much appreciated before I leave NZ in a few weeks time.
If you draw a line from LHS to half way between this one and that one then go on a bearing of 90° if it's Thursday, it's not there. Might be somewhere else and hampered by me looking shifty around a parked car as someone else passes by!
Did not find it like the previous couple hunters. Cache must have been flogged by muggles as there are grill wrappers instead. Look for about twenty minutes nothing.
Spent a a long time searching every flax, even saw some spoilers that should've made it easy, but no ️
Flax is not our friend and this one is no different. Had a good dig around but theres dead leaves etc everywhere so will leave it this time.
We had no luck with this one. There was a lot of undergrowth and we found plenty of rocks and even a minion toy! But as this hasn't been found in 6 months, we're not sure if the cache has gone, or if it is buried deeper than it once was!
Couldn’t access this one at first Muggles were here however easy find once we found the other two nearby.
Found 30/01/2020 have left a trackable from Sweden in cache. If found plz log and move to another cache ONLY IN SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE- NZ & AUSTRALIA only as directed by trackable’s original owner.
Left trackable from Sweden. If you take it you must Log it and place in another cache ASAP within NZ or Australia only as per original owners wishes from Sweden.
Left trackable item from Switzerland in cache. Move only to caches in NZ AND AUSTRALIA
Left trackable from Switzerland. Only take to drop into next cache you find. Must be logged into your trackables inventory if you take it and when you drop it.
Spoiler warning- as it can be hard to find. This is the flax bush it is contained under
Looking under wrong flax for ages going to give up when looked at navigate one more time to see was almost standing on it. Great place, great day!
We spent our holidays in New Zealand and also made a trip to the wetland.
Thank you for the Cache!
Thank you for the Cache!
Enjoyed exploring these wetland. Probably took the long way round to find the three caches but it was a pleasant walk. Caches all fine and only one couple leaving as we arrived. TFTC
Out on a nocturnal mission with 11hpg11, cats&dragons & HKCB to grab some caches towards the “hidden creatures’ challenge ... unlike our northern hemisphere counterparts, we’re contending with winter and long dark nights but, heh, that just adds to the challenge! We started early evening in fairly heavy rain, wondering about our sanity, but thankfully the weather improved and we had a lot of fun dashing about the BOP on a star-light night. A few logs were signed with the team name ‘HOAC’ to save space.
It was good to be here at night and hence less likelihood of prying muggle eyes, meaning it was a nice quick grab, cache all good, log signed & replaced, TFTC

Got asked by some duck hunters what I was doing in the bushes so I explained and their comment was “better than playing the pokies”. I have to agree
Billelle and I were very keen to get these two.... which on the map look dececeptively close to Papamoa East but actually are a long drive away !
Quick find thanks ...
Quick find thanks ...
Nearly gave up as I hate flax!! Got in car re read and gave it one more try. Wullah! TFTC will do other one on a better weather day.
Came across from Rotorua after work. Made a quick find thanks to the hint. Will bring the kids here to see if we can find the other cache that's had a DNF.

Up from H.B. visiting family. While they worked, I went out finding some caches. Quick easy find after 3 muggle cars left just as I was coming back from a D.N.F. Nice wetlands. Cheers.
We were about to give up. But finally found it as we were about to leave.. On the way out
Nice quick reward for a trek from Tauranga via waitao road lol. Thanks for bringing us here
Yes found it in good condition ..really nice day and enjoyed the area thanks for a great cache
Nice easy find. Late afternoon and I forgot about duck shooting season. Just as well I'm wearing my bright green work shirt.
What a beautiful place. Found this easily in a cool natural hiding place. Went to find the other one nearby, but was getting dark so will save for another day. Disturbed what seemed like 200 birds nesting for the night. Kind of a surreal experience with them flying everywhere on my own. We live in such a beautiful country! TFTC
(Oh and saw a naughty ferret too).
(Oh and saw a naughty ferret too).
We managed to find it and just wrote our name in the log book. We know next time to take a few small things for swapping. Our first try at geocaching but not our last - lots of fun!
Hitting the trails with the 1HIK crew (11hpg11, HKCB, iammrwalker and myself) on a mission to help them clear Tauranga caches.
We walked past this one, opting to grab it after finding the birdwatch cache when returning to the car. Found this one nearly diving headfirst into the bushes. Certainly was a bit of maps confusion trying to navigate here as the expressway cut a access road in half.

Yet another mission/meander/drive/caching blitz/story telling to Tauranga/Papamoa with some of the Hamilton crew. An early start was on the cards so that we could make it back in time so a couple of the members could make it back in time for the Night Glow Event held at the Waikato Uni. So at 4.30am 11hpg11, Kyb3r, iammrwalker and myself plied into HPG's new caching vechicle and headed out for the day. As usual a fantastic day out and a bonus for the day was that the weather was on our side, even though it didn't look like it. A big thanks to all the CO's for the placements, we signed the logbooks with 1HIK (our caching names put together) to save some room on the logbooks.
Found on the way back from the other cache in the area. A bit of a search, in the cachers nemsis, before it was spotted. Thanks for the hide.

Another trip to Tauranga/Papamoa area with a group of Hamilton cachers. Today we planned to clean out a bit more of the area, just one more we keep saying, but new caches keep coming out all the time. Today our team consisted of HKCB, Iammrwalker, Kyb3r and myself. The logs were either signed with our names or HIK1/1HIK to save room. Today I was designated driver and that came along with a new set of challenges but we survived and didn't make too many wrong turns so all is good. A nice early start, left Hamilton at 4.30am so we could be over in time for a night cache plus plenty of other caches before a few of us had to be home for the Hot Air Balloon Night Glow event.
Hardest part of this one was figuring how to get across now that the new express way has changed all the roading. We followed our noses and soon found where we needed to be. A quick find here after a nice walk around the area. Not many birds spotted today, maybe we scared them all off.

I have driven up and down and around, gravel, tar seal, can't find where to start,
I found this Geocache along with HKCB, 11hpg11 and Kyb3r, a bunch of overachieving Geocachers from Hamilton. We signed the logs 1HIK to save on log space. This was our fourth sojourn or ‘mission’ as we like to refer to these trips, to the Tauranga area and even though we had limited time due to family commitments in the evening we still managed to find more than fifty caches and be home before dinner. This was due mainly to leaving at 4:30 in the morning. Credit needs to go to HKCB who came up with the plan and 11hpg11 for driving. As always we had a great time. I discovered HKCB has a big one, that the TV show Samurai Pizza Cats was far more than just a teenage mutant ninja turtle rip off, that when it comes to night/ early morning Geocaching ‘it's all about the lumens’, that road kill can make for amusing hood ornaments, that hpg has a big hole and that clapping in a state of the USA may well be the funniest thing anyone can say at 5am. A big thanks to all the cache owners who placed and maintain the Geocaches we found today.
We initially had trouble getting here as Google Maps and our Garmins didn't know about the new road layout and we had to take a sizeable detour. Once here however we had no trouble tracking this container down.

Have my elderly mother down from Auckland, but was able to park close enough to this one for her to watch me scrabbling through every flax bush EXCEPT the right one before I found it. Gave her the honour of opening the cache, although her 86 year old brain was slightly bemused by the contents
Great cache found at the start of our walk! Took a while to find the wetlands now the new road is in. Many thanks
This is the first time I'd been out here. Very muddy underfoot and I think there has been a few dogs in the area judging from the number of pukeko carcasses I came across.
Cache found quickly and signed.
Off to the next one.

This ended up being quite the road trip thanks to the new highway. We ended up going down 2 dead ends haha. Finally Maketu Rd to Kelly Rd, then Te Tumu to Kaituna Rd.
A quick find at GZ made up for it though. Forgot it was the start of hunting season and a Ranger caught up to us to quickly explain what that meant for us and the area. All good though, not a duck in sight - no shots fired! Cheers Mitchlin TNLNSL.

Was nearby so decided to swing by, had to wait for a couple of muggles to move on. Lovely spot! TFTC, #7674
Path road closed in 2014 so you must go down maketu road then Te tumu to get here.
Was going to walk the wetlands for the other cache but the caretaker said "no dogs" so that was that.
