We were out for a drive to fill in some time whilst waiting to pick up adult kids from the train. Some beautiful scenery around these parts. Thanks for hiding and maintaining the cache for us to enjoy.
A lovely sunny Sunday winter's day ...So we decided to make the most of it and chase some unloved caches in the Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park...Found on the way home, a lovely fresh cache and logbook, and a cool pathtag, TFTC Harrowang, a FP awarded for the clever title !!!
Replaced container that has done a sterling job for nearly 13 years. Put swaps and log book in separate zip lock bags. Left: windmill pathtag. All good again at 3.21pm
Doing some routine maintenance on our cache and found a TB that was dropped in on 9th April 2023, but unable to be logged into this cache. Doing our best to rectify the situation, before we take the TB on more travels in Australia.
What an old looking container.
Thanks for bringing us to this out of the way location

It's two days later, I'm playing catch-up with my cache logs, and I've finally seen how the cache name is written.
"Oh, I get it now."
Thanks heaps, Harrowang!

Today was an absolutely amazing day for geocaching! I woke up early, packed my bag with all the necessary gear, including my GPS and hiking boots, and hit the road. The sun was shining, birds were chirping, and I was ready to take on the world of geocaching.
The first cache I set out to find was in a nearby park, nestled in a dense thicket of trees. As I approached the coordinates, I noticed a fellow geocacher making his way towards the same spot. We exchanged greetings and introduced ourselves, and it turned out we were both after the same monster of a cache.
We decided to work together and started our search, combing through the underbrush, climbing trees, and scouring hidden nooks and crannies. After what seemed like hours of intense searching, we finally found the cache. The feeling of pure euphoria and triumph that washed over us was indescribable. We let out a loud scream of "*FTF*!" (Even though it wasn’t), high-fived each other, and took a celebratory picture.
That was just the beginning of our geocaching adventures. We went on to find several more caches, each one more challenging and exciting than the last. We even stumbled upon a cache hidden under a waterfall, which was both thrilling and refreshing.
As the day wore on, we started to notice a strange phenomenon happening around us. Every time we found a cache, we felt a surge of energy and power that we couldn't quite explain. We joked about having tapped into "The Force," and laughed as we imagined ourselves as Jedi knights of the geocaching universe.
At one point, we found ourselves lost in a thicket of dense foliage, struggling to find the next cache. As we trudged through the underbrush, we suddenly heard a strange noise. It sounded like a person whistling a tune, but the source of the sound was nowhere to be seen.
Suddenly, a man appeared out of nowhere, seemingly materializing from the trees themselves. He was tall and lean, with skin as dark as coffee and an easy smile on his face.
"Hey guys," he said, "looks like you're lost. Need some help?"
We were hesitant at first, having been taught not to accept help from strangers. But there was something about this man that put us at ease. Maybe it was his friendly demeanor, or maybe it was the fact that we were all geocachers, united by the same passion.
Either way, we accepted his offer and followed him deeper into the woods. He led us to a hidden waterfall that we never would have found on our own, and we were able to find the cache that was nestled behind it.
As we signed the logbook and recorded our names, we turned to thank the stranger who had helped us. But he was gone, vanished into thin air like a mysterious apparition.
As we made our way back to civilization, we couldn't help but marvel at the strange and wondrous events of the day. We had found caches in places we never would have imagined, felt the power of "The Force", and even encountered a friendly stranger who seemed to have some kind of magical powers.
In the end, it was a day filled with adventure, fun, excitement, and unexpected surprises. We were all exhausted but exhilarated, our hearts and minds filled with the thrill of the hunt and the joy of discovery.
This was a day we would never forget, and one that we knew would inspire us to keep exploring the world of geocaching and all its many wonders. We couldn't wait to see what other amazing treasures were waiting for us out there, just waiting to be found.
So if you're ever looking for a great time and an adventure like no other, join us in the world of geocaching. Who knows what incredible treasures you might discover, what random strangers you might meet, or what hidden powers you might uncover? The possibilities are endless, and the rewards are truly priceless.

Staying at Rutherglen we ventured to Wangaratta and Chiltern and did some drive by caches as the day was sunny and no rain about, and this was one of them.
Cache and contents were in good condition.

This morning we headed north from Wangaratta towards Rutherglen to look for some caches that we missed earlier in the week. Rather than travel on the freeway, we followed Benton Road to look for some caches.
We visited Springhurst Cemetery to look for this cache. Accurate coordinates and an obvious type of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Harrowang for the acche.

Found by Rebel Acts, in the Company of my good friends Roostaman, Mrs Roosta and Ski Pair, we were all able to find a free week to get away and do some caching around the Rutherglen area, we had a great time despite some very frustrating hides.
This is one of the caches found today. Today we headed to Chiltern and Springhurst to do a few.
All logs signed as Rebel Acts or RASP (Rebel Acts & SKI Pair).

Another day in and around Rutherglen with Roostaman, Mrs Roosta and Rebel Acts as we chase a wide range and scope of caches.
The beautiful weather from earlier in the week has gone today, and the rain has set in. Out we went just the same, dodging showers to find as many as we could.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Harrowang.

So this was a new experience for me. I ended up on the wrong side of the fence (that's not new that's very common for me!) But as I went to walk back around to the correct side I noticed a small sistema in a tree. I signed the logbook in it and took note of the code on the lid. Quick google of the code shows it is a movable GCA cache. Very cool! I had no idea they even existed.
Once I was done with that the actual geocache I was targeting was found quickly. Tftc !

**The Adventure:** We decided to explore a little bit further afield today after the crazy Mega day yesterday. It took a while before the penny dropped re the punny title. Spring Her St. Yes, chuckle, very good! We found it pretty much straight away due to the clue, but failed to notice Mr Huntsman who had also found the cache. After he was shooed away, we were able to prise open the rusty lid and add our name to the log.
Thanks Harrowang for placing and maintaining this now vintage cache. Cache on
**The Cache:** All in order, replaced as found, but without the guardian. **TNLNSL**

Checked this one while out this way on a maintenance run. Contents and container in good condition.
We messed this one up big time. Found a GCA cache sitting out in the open and thought it was the one we were looking for. Oops. The correct one was located, signed and returned to it's hide. The GCA one was tucked back a little to make it less obvious. Thanks for the cache.
Thanks heaps for the cache which is in good condition. Love the containter too. Has a real historic cache feel to it!!
A cemetery all the way out here. And the graves facing all the other way.. A muggle sitting in his car.. Quick park and grab. TFTC
Of course there is no SPRING left. We aren't even half way through winter yet.

It's that time of the year again, Victorian Mega time, so its off to St Arnaud for myself and the ladies of FurfacesLL. A long road trip ahead, heading off Friday morning and getting home late Monday night and a fun filled weekend. We found many caches of all kinds of variety.. Trads, Multis, Puzzles, EC's, Virtuals, Letterboxes, Wherigos, Events, Cito's and of course, the Mega itself. We enjoyed the weekend and there sure are some unique caches here in St Arnaud, we still have plenty left to collect, so may need to coordinate another trip this way some time.
Originally approached from the wrong side, doh! soon realised our error and had cache in hand quickly after.
Thanks for the hide Harrowang And thanks to the FFLL ladies for another amazing trip away

A trip down the highway this time our destination is St Arnaud for mega event on the weekend with Rapidlywild along for the ride and to join in on the fun. The weather was lovely with a nice cool breeze.
Took the wrong route on this one, corrected our error and was a quick find away from the bee hive.

Found by Mary and David at 14:00. A FP here even before Mary stepped down from the GeoPrado. She loves exploring cemeteries for the symbolism of the headstone carvings and the social history in the epitaphs. Take time to wander around and read the old names, such as Malachi and Hubert. Quite an Irish influence here, with shamrocks here and there on the headstones, and even on wrought iron surrounds, plus an Irish harp. Look at the clasped hands for a family reunion hope on the grave of a little boy. A beautiful place as we contemplate life without Mrs Coffee. Such a clever cache name, too. Dropped off "Traveling Skateboard" TB. Our thanks to Harrowang.
Suscoe was heading homewards this morning.
Cloud filled sky, warm temperatures and some rain drops laced with dust.
A pleasant trip via the Hume and some side roads.
Thanks to Harrowang for this hide, we understand now why the spring has left her step.

With middle child and geowife at cub camp, I convinced the other two that a trip to Wangaratta to do some geocaches would be a good way to spend the day (with the bribe of fish and chips for lunch). After a nice sleep in and some domestic tasks we got away just after midday. Target was a couple of challenges that I had solved for a while and to also clean up a few in a small gap that had eventuated west of El Dorado. In the end got all that I wanted except one (I have the info for a multi but at this stage have not worked out how to get a decent number) and the kids and geohound had a fun time exploring a bit more of the north east.
Next stop on the road. While I wandered down to the easily found cache, the kids and the dog did a bit of walking in the cemetery. I do love a cemetery cache and a favourite added because it allowed us to spend a bit of time walking and talking about the people that came before us (the kids were surprised at how young some of the occupants were). Intrigued by the single grave (may be the only one that remains?) fenced off in the paddock away from the main cemetery.

Taking the long way home from Bright to Wangaratta to check on a couple of our caches. The metal container is standing up quite well, but there are signs that it has been wet in the past. Decided to put the log book and the swaps in zip lock bags to protect them a bit and left a trackable in this quiet rural setting. Took the pen game. Thanks to all finders for taking due care with the container and contents.
Found on the way to Wang for a caching event.. there was a little spring in my step when I retrieved the cache container to find 1 BIG spider resting on it.. ok. Maybe not that big but big enough!!! Flung the cache to the ground and one big hairy spider skittled away.. cache carefully opened as didnt want anymore surprises, log signed and returned as found.. thanks Harrowang for bringing me to this beautiful unknown area..
Out with HappyFeet1, heading to a CITO in Wangaratta and making the most of a spring day. Taking the opportunity to grab some caches along the way Despite having a DNF's, we still enjoyed our day together with a few laughs and found some great hides and the bonus of catching up with a number of other cachers, while picking up some rubbish and having a BBQ.

This was a nice little area to be looking for this hide. We made a quick find, as we headed for home on dusk.
I am currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. As of the start of 2018 my average was only 47 words per log, which seems a long way from the 100 target. Given that I have found so many GC caches, I have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get my average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that I can strive to attain this challenge. After over 7000 plus caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 50 words. I am now entertaining the possibility that I might be able to achieve my task before the end of next year. It's surprising how much is has increase since doing this.
Thanks Harrowang for placing the cache for us to find and doing the maintenance to keep it in play.

The second cemetery tonight, lucky for me I didn't have to enter this one and I was able to find the cache quickly.

This is the second day of my trip for the Mega at Anglesea. It is a much earlier start today after a good night's sleep. We spent the night in Albury, and, looking at the map, I saw a number of caches in the green expanses around here, which I took to be parkland I could walk the GeoSchnauzers in. However, it turned out to be wilderness, which is much more interesting to both my good self and the dogs. After three caches, it was time to move on. We grabbed one earlier at the rest stop, and, since we were off the highway anyway, I decided we should come out here. This is an interesting place, I wandered around the tombstones for a while before grabbing the cache. Thanks, Harrowang.
#2041 We had a spring in our step today, it was the weekend, the day of the grand final and we were using our new fancy smancy GPS for the first time! The trick here was finding a dry path to gz after what seems to be a never ending cycle of rain! We managed to successfully keep dry and find the cache without issue. The grounds of the cemetery could do with a mow, but probably difficult when the ground is saturated. One thing that is in very good condition is the cache and logbook. TFTC Harrowang, a lovely hidden spot we weren't aware of.
TFTC. We were on the way to Albury for a medical appointment. Running early Siew detoured off the highway and quickly located the cache, signed and back on the highway.
Driving back to Melbourne and taking advantage of having a work day off. Came by and made the find. Took hedgehog TB. Tftc

Driving down a random road because the Mr felt like it, we stumbled across this great cache. We always love the larger sized caches as it keeps the kids keen on treasure hunting.
