[green] Drove down Friday night for a three day wages to petrol extravaganza. Doing the Blenheim - Greymouth - Westport - Blenheim loop. Drove to Reefton Friday night so I could grab some empty log books early the next morning. That done its on with the main mission. An awesome three day experience, only about 30 caches per day, but two badge upgrades, wekas, seals and penguins, an awesome coast road and coastal walk. Wonderful.
Even with the hint this took quite a bit of hunting. NASTY!!

sadly didn't find this one. So many trinkets and added treasures from the sea. Will try again next time we are here.
Went out for a run but was not able to find this one. Lots of debris around, maybe the owner should have a look ...

Good Friday, off to the Coast, though doubtful of getting there after the windstorm. A nice walk along the beach, dodging the showers. What a fun pice of art. Ms KR made the find while I was focused elsewhere.. Thanks for the hide.
A highlight of my day walking along the beach on a beautiful afternoon to this one. Another of those ones that all makes sense once you get there. Was having a good hunt when I came across the cache by accident - very lucky as it could've taken ages. A favourite for the walk and the tree. TFTC #5359
An enjoyable cache but it took me far too long to find it! A great walk along the beach to GZ too. While I was there a guy wandered up with a drink bottle to add to the inventory, turned out he was the person who started the "trinket tree" and we had quite a chat. He commented that after he first put a few items there, others followed and it just "took off". When I did find the cache it was quite different to what I was expecting it might be. Signed log, TFTC
Missed out on the FTF on this one when first published set aside some time to have a good thorough look this time round and was rewarded with the very cool cache. I can see why I missed it so long ago. Thanks for the hide.
Got annoyed while looking for it, but on finding the cache decided I loved it. Gave it a favourite point.
I have mixed feelings about this cache, negative because I whacked my head on a broken off branch when taking the easiest way from one side to the other, also negative when I discovered I had lost my glasses (second time in a couple of months) but eventually turning that into a positive when I found them again, as it turned out at the exact GZ then of course a positive when I realised I had the cache in my hand. Plus, the threatening rain storm kept away until we got back to the car. A peculiar mixture of 'trinkets' for sure. TFTC.
Sometimes things just come together nicely. If that involves our favourite playground it is very nice indeed. Today was one of those occasions. Weather forecast: tick, new caches: tick, unfinished business: tick. This was on the 'unfinished' list and with the weather holding off we went for a beach walk. What might have started as a tree has grown into a most interesting forest. This cache is either an easy or a very hard find it seems. We overthought the whole thing and made it harder for ourselves than needed. A smilie in the end though TFTC
Had fun trying to find this one. I would call it a jumk tree rather than trinket and it made it quite tricky! The 10c piece being there helped a lot thanks! Took about 15 mins.
I got to the cache to discover that I didn't have a pen on me.
Shoved a 10c piece in the outer cache container as evidence of my visit. TFTC

A fascinating tree to visit. Unfortunately we were led astray by the spoiler hint and were looking in all the wrong places, before sense prevailed, and the cache was quickly found, as it should have been in the first place. TFTC
Found after a nice walk along the beach. A number of treasures on the trinket tree. TFTC
Found at 6:57:00 a.m. on 22/01/2013.
This one took some finding until I had a good think about it - had it in about 30 seconds afterwards... Cache-sense to the rescue.

Quick find after a long walk down the beach in strong wind to get here. Very odd collection. TFTH
No idea why we did not spot it yesterday in the evening - no problems today. TFTC
Double boxed.. is right.. it was almost impossible to retrieve though. Nice find. TFTC Greetings from Canada
A nice moonlight walk along the beach this evening. A pretty cool tree and a good spot for a cache. Glad I had a previous finder with me to point me in the right direction otherwise I may have been here for quite some time. TFTC
a nice walk on the beach as the sun set.. how cool was this "tree" nearly lost the GPS when MR - thought he had found it in a drum of black oil nearby, lucky Mrs was fast with the hand and eye and found the real cache soon after...
we found this cache on our way home to nelson
amazing tree left couple trinkets
thank you for the cache

Took a while but got there in the end, there were 6 of us out looking - I found it and it was great watching the others even handling the cache without realising they had it!! TFTC
Had another lovel beach walk to the Trinket tree. It was right up Ms M's street. Took us a wile to make the find. Worth a favourite.

Took a bit of hunting - plenty of trinkets to check, but got there in the end. TFTC
This was pretty cool, sorry had nothing to take a picture with. Have the memories instead!
Unable to find this one, although did not have the description
Great spot TFTC.
Great spot TFTC.
A quick find while out for a walk, hoping to spot some penguins as they come ashore. The hint was a big help as there are probably too many places to hide a cache to count. TFTC
TFTC! . The flotsam fir.... Took me too long! happy to come away with a smiley. nice one.
Psychowardbc actually found it after we had both searched high and low for some time because we'd forgotten part of the cryptic hint. Nice hide! TFTC
Found the tree and families of hairy eight legged creatures but no sign of cache. Looks like there have been plenty of recent visitors looking at the footprints.
