Suscoe was in Katoomba today enjoying a terrific trip to see the Three Sisters and the wonderful Blue Mountains.We were here with our very good friends Phetlern.Thanks to pjmpjm for this hide.The climb out of the parkland certainly had our heart rate up.A delightfully sunny day even though it was coolish.
Found it as we walked around the perimeter fence but did not sign the log as they were a group of school kids sitting on the grass about 10 feet away and we didnt want to draw attention to it. An interesting historical connection and an amazing little little park - a long way down to the bottom from the memorial! TFTC
This was my first cache in the Blue Mountains area! Was very nice and easy to find. TFTC!

A quick find on the way home from woolies. Thank you for putting the cache here. Never been to Katoomba before, staying just the night at the caravan park, it's a great place.
Velk cesta do Ocenie - den 4 - Blacktown (Sydney) - Katoomba, Blue Mountains, New South Wels, Austrlie - 125 kmVzbudila jsem se proklate brzy ve 3 rno, ale premluvila jsem se a jete do 6 spala. Dnes u se ctm lpe a zacnm si svuj velk vlet uvat. Sice bylo rno chladneji a pod mrakem, ale odpoledne u krsn park a stl slunce, a jsem si splila zezadu krk. V klidu jsem rno vyrazila do Modrch hor (Blue Mountains) a po ceste odlovila pr keek u zajmavch mst. Treba hned prvn ke byla u informacnho centra pro cel hory, tak jsem si nabrala spoustu letku a informac. Dal zastvka u zajmavho parcku s alej stromu, kter asi zasadili australt premiri. Krtkou prochzku jsem si udelala pro starou ke z roku 2001 v lesku plnm velkch utru a na jeden jsem musela kvuli kece i vylzt. Tak jsem postupne projela nekolik mestecek a dojela do Katoomba, kde mm na odpoledne zakoupen vstup na lanovky a zubacku. Krsne jsem to stihla, namazala si oblicej krmem 50 a vyrazila objevovat vyhldky na tesech a detn les dole v dol. Lanovky byly super, dokonce mstn zubacka je nejstrmej na svete. Teda byly to takov vozky, kter se skoro kolmo spustily do tunelu ve skalch, take nebylo nic videt, ale musela jsem se dret stropu, tak dobr. Krsne strven odpoledne jsem zakoncila odlovem T5 virtulky a vhledem na Echo point a Three Sisters - mstn nejznmej skaln tvar. Spokojena a vyvencena jedu na nkup veho potrebnho a na hotel. Dnes ani do hospody nejdu. Budu v klidu odpocvat na ubikaci. Ztra me cek prejezd hor.Second day in Australia. I travel to Blue Mountains from cache to cache and spend an afternoon in Scenic World in Katoomba in rain forest and cliffs. I met another cachers there so an easy found. On my misty walk home, I veered off down the path towards this cache.A cool forgotten little park, complete with a covered stage area!Cache found quickly with the hint, then I continued the stroll back towards my hostel. Thanks for showing me this cool hidden little park with a geocache. I did a virtual once dedicated to Kingsford Smith, at the Brisbane airport. Possibly even his plane was there too. Took this cool photo of these uh... leopard slugs near the cache. Find number 4445.
On a day tour to the area, and wandered over here during our stopping point.On a 10 day trip to Australia, siting Sydney, Cairns, and Melbourne and getting some caches during the trip. Visiting from Chicago. TFTC!

Had to return to find this cache as there were many muggles around yesterday. Easy find.
Certainly a hidden little gem here. After walking to Leura Falls from Katoomba we caught the train back and of course had to come here.
I spotted the entrance the day before and made a plan to come back here. I was not disappointed although the GPS sent me everywhere.

Came down in the pitch dark but still an easy find with my phone torch. I don't envy the homeowners walking up this hill every day!
LSo planned a day to the blue mountains today. Want to do some hiking and hoping to find some geocaches as well.
Took the train from Parramatta in the morning and then walked from the station to Echo point enjoyed the view and walked further to the cache site. Looked around and walked further down to the coal mine near the Scenic cableway. And because the furber steps were closed turned back around and went back the same way and up all the stairs and continued with the Henry route. At the top it was really windy and cold today but down not so much.
And so I also found Katoomba Kingsford Smith and converted into a smiley.

I’m back working in Katoomba and thought I’d grab a few caches while I’m in the area.
I was retuning to where I’m staying from the Bunnings and remembered my GeoSon said he had a DNF on this when he visited. So I thought I’d go find it.
If you’re coming from Lurline St depending on which path you take there is a massive tree down over the lower paths, probably blown over by last weeks severe weather system.
Once at GZ there were lots of locations that matched the hint, found it after the 5th spot.

Last day in the area and fortuitously a car park opened up at the entrance to the Park just as I was passing. The fates thusly decreeing I should go forth and geocache. Wandered the paths happily but even more so once I got down to the base as that was not at all what I was expecting to find. What a great venue location! Glad to have made the sojourn for this one. TFTC.
It took us a while to find the box, but the location was quite clear to find, we were just blind

TFTCCar satnav had me approaching this from weird and difficult roads but made my way around the block towards a parked car sotted in the distance which provided access from the correct elevation. Co-ords out a little but only so many options that provided a similar hide. No sign of a brick though, just foliage and bark.
Found while in the area this morning. A pretty place! Signed log and returned as found. TFTC
Vandaag vanuit Sydney eerst boom klimmen met Daena en daarna naar de Blue Mountains. We logeren in Katoomba en gaan ook naar de drie zusters waarvan er nog maar twee zijn. Deze cache samen met Catqueen3 gedaan.

Travelled from Canberra with Aramil and stayed in a hotel at the top of this park. And it was the last cache for the trip. TFTC
