Gee I like this area. I am here with 5Meerkats to log some other caches up the trail nearby. I just am so happy when I come up this road. There is nothing like it. Really pretty, but I can imagine quite a problem with flood waters.
Anyway, 5Meerkats stopped the car and gave me the g-20. Said, I'll wait here. Nice of him. I am still new to g-20 use so I was unaware of the long refresh time. First, i stood in the driveway like a douche. Then I was up along the fenceline in search of a cacher-trail.
I followed it for some time and turned the corner. I was then in the bush, amongst the lantana, getting cut up. Wow, just amazingly overgrown. I was probably in someone's front garden.
Then 5Meerkats calls out, pointing to how easy it should have been. I was clearly on the wrong side of the fence.
Anyway, found cache full of rusty water. It is a problem with these mint tins that this happens. I have had to replace several of my own. I am trying to find a better cheaper alternative though there are great sistema containers available at the shops.
Sorry I didn't physically log. I just couldnt.

Found this one thanks to the clue. The GPS was all over the place. Nice drive up the road, very scenic.
Thanks
Thanks
Geodaughters and I stopped in for this one on the way back from Lyons Den. It was a quick grab. Surprisingly, our parked car was passed several times in the period. This is actually quite a busy road!
Back to the car after the signing and it was back to Brookfield General Store for ice blocks. But not before picking up a few mangoes and bananas from the road-side stall.
Thanks for showing us this slice of Brookfield life, DashaDave!!

I had driven this road so many times in the past as my sons do MTB at the end of the road and only just realised there was a couple of caches here. I had made an attempt yesterday and didn't have the GPS so I thought the phone would help. But alas as I drove further up the road, it lost the signal and I had to do a 180 and go home.
Today though, armed with the GPS, I ventured out into the rain. I did look high and low and then spotted it with the helpful hint. All dry and good with this one since it had not been found for a few months. TFTC

After picking up egginthesky for an afternoon grabbing caches in the area, I made the detour a little further out along this windy road towards some pesky icons that needed clearing up. Halfway there, the passenger seat navigator was sure the cache was 'here' but with the GPS indicating a bit further to go (as in, several kilometres), I knew which I was trusting. Parked in a convenient spot at GZ and with a bit of guidance soon found myself at GZ. I am unconvinced of the terrain rating, I'd hate to be pushing a stroller here, but the cache was a quick and easy find. Sure is off the beaten track here. TFTC DashaDave
Thanks to the very generous Mark2134 for the maintenance on this one. It is now back on the air. Thanks Mark2134
Since I live very close to this cache I replaced the log and plastic bag. I hope this is ok with DashaDave.
Out to collect a few finds for today.
The 2 out here looked like a good drive....and it is.
Unfortunately I found this one on the ground with the lid open. Everything was wet. No much I could do but open it up and dry everything as best as possible. The log sheet is still very wet.
Thanks for the cache.

Found with egginthesky. Follow the clue and it should be easier. Careful parking here, a bit of a walk up a short hill, so not recommended when slippery and wet. I would suggest not recommended for small kids, unless there is an alternate access that we didn't find. Otherwise fun and good find.
The logbook was very damp after all this rain, so needs attention.
Thanks

After driving back as forth a bit trying to find a good place to park, C and I finally were on the way to the cache. It was quite difficult to find at first, but after reading the hint and taking a good hard look through the bushes, we realised what we were looking for. I managed to injure myself trying to get up to this one, but in the end it was an easy find.
This one might need a bit of maintenance, the log was very wet and the pencil provided is broken.

A quick stop in the pouring rain. Loki lost her pen somewhere at this cache. Thanks DashaDave
8km away from Dave's Hut parking said the caching GPSr. 35km said the TomTom Oh well - one does love a clean map.
It was teeming cats and dogs when Lokipagan and I approached this one. I probably could have found a better parking - but I was off the road enough. We made our way up to GZ and Loki found the cache almost immediately. It is in good condition. A nice little area. TFTC DashaDave

Like others, we had never been this far along the road. Love some of the letterboxes along the way! Once we had sorted out which side of the road to explore, it was a very quick find.
Unfortunately I had not allowed for my silly phone to have no service out this far and had not downloaded the neighbouring cache details, so we shall have to return sometime soon. TFTC DashaDave.

You can't imagine my excitement when I discovered 2 caches within walking distance from my house, especially when I live in the sticks I used the rainy weather to grab this cache with less chance of muggle activity. Nice quick find. TFTC
Out on a afternoon drive. I like Gunnie had never been this far along this road, There are some nice properties around here, must cost a bit.
I found a good parking spot and made my way across the road, I searched for a long time and the coordinates always had me in the same spot but I couldn't find the cache.
I was sure it wouldn't have been muggled yet. [?]
After a while a lady stopped by wondering what I was doing hanging around, after I told her I was on a treasure hunt, she seemed at ease with that and made her way home [^].
After cursing some more and realising I didn't have any previous finders numbers, I realised that I was looking at the wrong cache notes .
Once I had that sorted out, I found the cache in about 30secs.
Thanks for bringing me down this road

I have never had a need to head this far along the road but today, I did... I really enjoyed the slow cruise out toward GZ on a perfect morning to be out and about... [^]
I was pleased to find somewhere to pull over for near GZ, it could have been quite a walk otherwise. Zeroing in, I wondered whether I needed to scale to new heights. As I got closer, I got the picture pretty quick and up I went. As I elevated, the cache was in plain sight ready to greet me...
I tucked myself behind some camo to conduct business, so I didn't look out of place for passing cars. All done, I tucked the container back and headed off to find the last of the new ones on the street...
Cheers DashaDave.

***FTF*** with Stairman1 at 9.47 p.m.. We were over at Good Guys Oxley having a play around with an ipad and I thought I would log onto Geocaching to see if any new caches had popped up. What do you know 4 new ones by DashaDave . Which ones will we grab first [?] We knew one of our rivals was in Singapore and the other rival would not come this far at night so maybe we had a chance for a FTF . We rushed home, downloaded the co-ordinates for the 4 caches, grabbed geodog and headed off. After a slight detour out to Mt Ommaney to pick up geodaughter, we headed off around and around and around the windy road . We finally arrived close by the GZ and scrambled up the hill and with the torches in hand, the hunt started. We had looked for about 5 mins when I yelled out "Found it" Lucky for the clue. We grabbed the cool bug, signed the log and re-hid the container. The bug is coming with us to New Zealand in November. Thanks DashaDave for a great hide.
Found with goldielover. Took us a few minutes to locate this one. Goldie spotted it and yelled out from the dark. Got it. Signed the brand new log. Thanks DashaDave for the nice drive out here.
