On an evening expedition with some friends while I'm back in town for a couple of days. Our plans brought us out in this direction and I requested a quick diversion to grab a cache for the streak. With a fairly transparent hint, this one made for an ideal candidate as I could make a quick find, scribble my name in and not leave the others waiting too long! Thanks to Earthbound Chief for the hide here!
I was heading over to the southern suburbs to visit family and had decided to go a little early and find a few caches. Fortunately the rain that had accompanied my first cache hunt had eased off so this hunt was an almost dry one... not that it needed all that long to find the cache. Thanks **Earthbound Chief** for the cache... and the series.
A brief visit from a friendly cacher confirmed the cache is in place and the log is doing OK. Thanks OSHFAM
I returned today to avenge my DNF and complete this amazing series. One more to go I think! Thanks EBC
A quick find for this one, unlike some others in the series that were problematic for me today.
Another after work caching run while working in this area. 5 finds and 1 cache missing for the early evening, not too bad.Very busy area, but after standard around waiting for a few minutes, everyone else had started to ignore me. I'd used the time to spot the geocache, and then quickly grabbed it, while everyone had forgotten I was there. Thanks for the cache Earth Bound ChiefHunter
I don't know how I missed this years ago but finally got back to it and this time round a quick find
Visited it during 28-days geotrip to Australia, N.Caledonia, Vanuatu, Fiji, Am.Samoa, Fr.Polynesia with Marci, Ch. Sometimes we logged as "MT" or "Jonea" or "MTCh". Thanks for showing nice caches and places. MT-Jonea from Brno city in Czechia EU. Sn. Full wllp - photo.
On Monday I am required in Melbourne for work, and I figure, that's an ideal opportunity to fly down early and spend the weekend geocaching and enjoying the suburbs. Day two, Sunday today and after a lazy start to the day, I'm off to tackle some LGAs to the South-East by foot and train.Yesterday was big with >17,000 steps under clear skies, but hardly broke a sweat. Today is shaping up to be much more of the same. After poking around Brighton for a bit during a bit of rain, and three more trains trips, I'm now heading for Westall and grab a few of the highly favourited clump around here.Alighting from the train, I get lost for a while, then my compass wakes up and I set off through the intensely green suburb. As I walk I think more about my route through the area, always optimising given I'm on foot. And then also realise how far I will likely walk anyways.Getting near this, there's a handful of muggles around, but none paying any attention I begin my hunt and find nothing for a minute, then realise I'm not at the right location. A few metres later I make a quick find. Woo, maybe the nano-est nano I've ever come across! I sign my name at 15:40 and replace all as found. No suspicious sightings today! Thanks for this geocache, Earthbound Chief
Nice way to start 2024. It took a few visits but I finally found it. Thank you.
With dot558 after spending money on black Friday sales grabbing a smileNote please be careful magnet is loose
When I went to Queensland earlier this year I signing a challenge cache that requires finding at least 18 special tool required attributes in the month of August so today when traveling to Hampton Park and Pakenham I thought I would chase down a couple to help with qualifying.
With all my jobs done it was time to head home and finally a chance to grab the caches I needed to help with the challenge.
A quick look at GZ and I thought I knew what TOTT was required so I headed back to the car to get it but I was wrong the hide wasn't what I thought it was but on a closer look I spotted my prize and I didn't need the TOTT at all.
Thank you EArthbound Chief for the hide

Today we checked on #1 AREA 79: Westall 66 - "What's That?" on our travels. We had been asked recently if this one was still in situ. The answer is yes, it is most definitely there.
Quick park and find on a detour on my way home from work. Keeping my streak going for this months Wheel of Challenges souvenir. TFTC
I've collected the others in this series a while ago and thought I'd grab this one too. I was at GZ near midnight and the shadows hide the cache making it more challenging to find. I didn't want to use my torch, and ended up guessing the slightly darker shadow and sure enough that was the cache! Thanks for placing this one here.
Out today adding a few smiles to my map. This series looked interesting and so I began at the logical place, the beginning. Thank you Earthbound Chief for placing and maintaining #1 AREA 79: Westall 66 - "What's That?" for us to find today.
Find # 1878.
Find # 1878.
Needed a cache for the day before uni, this was the closest park and grab I could see on the map that I hadn’t done.
Drove over on this dreary afternoon and parked nearby. A nice quick easy find but a difficult log to sign, very small. Soon had it signed and replaced as found. Now I gotta hurry since I’m late for class.
Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the log nice and dry.

I headed down this way today for an event, so searched out a few caches beforehand.
This was my first find, and managed to park within 2m of GZ. A nice quick find, but I had to wait for the cleaners to leave the adjacent driveway before I could reset the cache.
The attachment is still in the container, but is not stuck in, so care should be taken when opening the container.

We had a great time finding all the caches in the Area 79 series and collecting our clues along the way. The hides were very creative, and we loved the continuos storyline throughout this series. Thanks for creating this awesome series Earthbound Chief!
I have decided to come to Victoria and go to the Whittlesea Mega, I will be travelling with Azzo7777 and other great geocachers at the mega,
Thanks to Earthbound Chief for the cache

Couldn't you get a smaller container?? My Grandie Josh came with me and found it straight away. His first cache.
I couldn’t have parked any closer!! The cache is all good.. signed as SL.. Love the story… I remember when this happened .. UFO sightings were not uncommon at the time given that the space race was well and truely underway. But this sighting got a lot of media attention .. did it actually happen.. I’m going with maybe. Thanks Earthbound Chief for placing another cache and for providing a great topic to discuss with friends.
I thought I would make a start on this series, having never noticed it before. Parked at the shops and wandered over. A few options for the GZ. I am not keen on nano caches at all and upon first look, nothing really looked like it was what I was after. Then saw something and knew it would be the cache even before I had my hand on it. Took the nearby seat to sign, in which I hate signing nano logs. Barely even signed, just left initials. Wondered if I'd left the magnet in the right place, but it reattached at GZ no issues.
Thanks to Earthbound Chief for the cache.

My daughter does a language school at Westall College on Saturday morning and I have attempted this one so many times. Found it one the first go today
Sorry, did not sign though.

Great hide! I didn’t want to try getting the paper out to sign, but will send photos to the CO. Such an interesting story to read about. TFTC
I first searched for this one as a newbie and had no luck. Now with a bit of experience, found it quickly. Tftc!!
We started this series probably 10 years ago, so nice to pick it back up!
Super busy road so had to pick our moment but managed to get a break in cars for a quick log sign. TFTC!

I found it easy but didn’t even try to remove the log (fat fingers you know) but I was definitely here
I’ve seen this series of caches on the maps for years but we don’t get into this part of the world very often. I started at #1 and we quickly found the cache. We were quite a time after the school day being finished, so very few Muggles around but I still needed to watch out for passing cars to retrieve and return the cache, which could be done quickly.
Nice little cache and a fairly quick fine. After finding #2 for my multi month challenge, I was excited to come back and work on the rest of the series.
Cache was still in good condition, logbook nice and dry. TFTC.
Due to the sign of the logbook simply signed

Whoop Whoop, second time out of isolation and COVID negative, ready to cache!
Eeerily drive with not many people around but no ufos sighted.
Nice quick cache find. Thanks for the series, stories and cache placement.

Found it!! The hint helped, although GPS was a bit off, might might be some alien interference TFTC
I had a look for this one a couple of weeks ago but could not find it. Today I returned and quickly spotted the cache. Hmmm. I had a quick chat with the girl in the nearby chicken shop and soon had the cache retrieved, signed and replaced. Woo hoo, nice to turn this blue face to yellow.
Cache was eventually located but not where it was supposed to be. Returned to its high vantage point with a new log book. All good to go.

Hi there Earthbound Chief,
This cache has been flagged by Geocaching HQ as a cache that **MAY** need some attention.
You may recall having received an automated email from Geocaching HQ which explained what you needed to do.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to have happened, so I am having to take the next step and temporarily disable the cache - see here: [**Geocache Health Score.**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713)
**You do need to respond in some way within 14 days, so others know you are on top of it, as well as indicating exactly what is happening with this placement - please don't let a lack of communication kill this cache.**
#What should you do now:-#
You have a number of choices so pick the one that applies from this handy list:-
- **Check On The Cache:-** Visit the cache and repair and/or replace or do whatever else is needed, post an [**Owner Maintenance log**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404) indicating the cache has been checked and [**ENABLE your cache.**](https://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=235 ) Then sit back and wait for the praises.
- **Place A Write Note Log:-** Reviewers are not mind readers, so without your note on the cache page telling them what the situation is, they can't tell what is going on with the cache.
So please just post a note to the page (within 14 days) and, when the listing is next checked, all will be fine for a little bit longer. But be sure to indicate the actual date that you expect to have it fixed so that everyone knows you are on top of it.
If you have a long term unavailable cache (where you don't have an actual date), please ensure you visit this page and post a note every 4 to 6 weeks so as to keep everyone up to speed with what is happening.
- **Adopt/Archive:-** If you don't plan on fixing it then you could consider passing it on to another Geocacher by asking them to [**Adopt it**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=54) or alternatively, you need to [**Archive it,**](https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=56) so it is removed from searches and someone else can have the spot. Don't forget to remove any remnants of your previously enjoyed cache too.
You might wonder what happens if you don't pick one of the above. Well, when the cache is next checked by a Reviewer, if the issue has not been addressed, or there is no acknowledgment as requested above, it will be assumed the cache has been abandoned and processed accordingly.
Honestly, I'd rather you decide, so please do something before then. Please don't send me an email but instead follow the information/advice posted above.
Thanks for your cooperation,
Bunjil

The first for today. I looked at all the DNFs and expected not to find this one. My expectations were met.
The clue made one place seem like the logical spot, but I couldn't find anything there. I could see a rectangular mark where it looked like a magnetic cache had been, but nothing to be found any more.
Found a mark that appears that something magnetic used to be there but not any more. Searched high and low tried caps, fences, rails, signs. This is the best we could do.
Looks like recent repairs have been made here. Couldn’t find when using the hint. Oh well, hopefully the next in the series will have more to offer. On the other hand it’s actually an interesting place to end up - it’s Sunday and the Christian band is pumping from the community hall, the air is scented with freshly baked bread and the Indonesia House must be just about to start something as many Indonesians in traditional dress are descending on the place. Thanks for bringing me here. Hopefully I’ll be back!
There were others seeking this while we were waiting but they were careful to not let on where they found it. That made it very hard for us because they threw us a loop they know who they are. Well done boys well played. TFT C.
Out on a really nice day with my caching buddy oshfam, we were ready to explore. The map brought us to this area.
Sneaky little nano. The log was full so my buddy oshfam replaced the log and it was returned back to its spot. Thanks for the cache.

Found this one easy, getting the log out of the lid without damaging it was a puzzle in itself. Signed and replaced. TFTC
Disabled due to Covid Stay at Home restrictions. Will re-enable when restrictions ease.
{310} Had been meaning to do this series for awhile but unfortunately covid-19 got in the way. Pretty straightforward find once we looked at the clue. We started the Area 79 series at #11 before coming to this hide #1. Luckily you don’t have to do it in order, we'll be back to finish the rest very soon. Thanks Earthbound Chief for an interesting story!
Found it fairly quickly after reading the first part of the story. I am looking forward to learn more about what happened.
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.
I was hoping to able to avoid this step. Although exercise is ok, beaches, playgrounds, parks etc are being closed, and we are being asked to stay home.
The possibility to transmit the virus by surface contact exists, and with so little being known how long viral RNA stays viable on surfaces why take a risk?
At the end of the day, geocaching is a game, it is non essential and we are dealing with a serious Public Health emergency.
As we keep seeing people continuing to search for our caches I feel the only responsible thing to do is disable all our caches to discourage this until the crisis passes.
Thanks.

So the journey begins! A micro adventure in the burbs sums up the day! In ‘66 I was in grade 6 so the story fascinated and excited the citizens. Top idea for the series. Loved this series and exploring the sites and locating the variety of caches. Found this one easily so and but ditto to last few logs. Now it’s back to Monash Medical to visit mum again... got a geo relay happening to break up hospital visits. TFTC Earthbound Chief.
This was a very easy, straightforward find I knew exactly where and what it would be so a nice quick one for our last cache of the day! TFTC!!
Mrs Papi was with a previous finder so we have done these in the wrong order but that is no excuse not to complete the series. She was out and about again today, in this area so a couple more were found to head towards completing the series as it was meant. Thanks for the series and bringing us here. Now off to get another if we can.
I love this series!!! Made the calculated scary option of doing this series at night. I must admit, by the end I had completely freaked myself out!!! What a great set of caches and a bizarre story!!! Thanks for the 13 petrifying stops!!!!!
Went out for a local adventure with my love, we were both excited for this trail. Unfortunately we missed a clue somewhere so we have to go back to find it it to try and complete it! Thanks for the great and interesting series.

Out in the area tonight and thought to grab this cache as a quick drive by... although a neighbour decided to sit in his car and listen to doof doof music at gz so had to hover around the corner waiting for him to depart. Thanks for the cache.

Out and about for the Mystery at the Museum looking for caches to unlock the vault to return the jewels .
Driving back from a hockey game at Monash.
I had heard of Alien UFO activity here so went to investigate.
Made a quick find and signed the log before moving along to the next one nearby.
Thank you Earthbound Chief for the cache

Quick find with geoFam . Tiniest cache we have ever seen! All in good condition TFTC
Out and about on a (reasonably) nice Saturday afternoon, hunting for some caches in the area. Having found the final of this series it was nice to pick up one more of the series today, just 2 more for me to grab. Easy one here, TFTC!
