Started looking for this one but gave up when I decided that the adjacent truck might have been on top of it... another day maybe.

13-Jul-24
Took me a while on this one as the phone was showing somewhere else. But a quick find once I read to the end of the description!

16:16Countdown to 9K...Well, I got a bit SideTracked at Merinda Park, then at East Pakenham, with a couple of Adventures in the mix.And now I'm chasing UFOs. This was the only AREA 79 cache (other than the two puzzles that complete the series) I'd not found way back in 2012 with the younger child in tow. This afternoon, with just a little more experience, and a hint that narrowed the search quite considerably, this cache was a gratifyingly quick find. Thanks, Earthbound Chief. Now to continue my walk, as I've an appointment with an alien...#8999

After the excitement of yesterday's FTF, amandaberries was eager to go on a caching trip.We targeted the UFO Westall series. This street is in need of a big clean up - a UFO could easily be hiding in all the debris! we witnessed a man careening down and losing a load of timber and an assortment of rubbish. I initially disregarded the cache as part of the rubbish pile and luckily i was brave enough for a second visit to tug it slightly harder to investigate.signing duties done, and I was keen to get out of the area

19-Nov-23
Several locations presented themselves and after quite a bit of searching, @Kristysadventures pronounced the cache found! However, some giggles were had as she has previously rejected the cache being, in fact, the cache! TFTC!

17-Nov-23
good find!

11-Nov-23
We almost missed this one, great spot helped having a little one! TFTC

31-Oct-23
Off on another Friday night caching run. OK, maybe it's not Friday, but I'm busy then, so Friday night has been moved to Tuesday. Which I personally think should happen every week, because that means the weekend is tomorrow. I selected the Westall UFO area, specifically because I needed a Large cache type on the 31st of the month. Then it was planned to collect as many of the "AREA 79: Westall 66" caches as possible. Pleased no DNFs, even if 1 was muggled out.Took way too long as the metal fence must have been interfering with my GPSr. Thanks for the cache Earth Bound ChiefHunter

24-Sep-23
This one almost bested us and it was at the first place I looked, just not well enough

24-Sep-23
Assumed the cache was just a pile of garbage, we were wrong

24-Jul-23
After a nearby DNF I headed back to the car before noticing that this one was within walking distance so I wandered over.

After checking a few places I soon had the cache is hand, log signed and replaced as found.

Happy to report that the cache is in good condition and the logbook nice and dry.

A very tricky one for us today. A lot of mulching has gone on but the cache ended up being in tyhe logical location, but was tough to spot.
Took nothing, left nothing.
Thanks for placing this geocache here for us to find today, for without those who like to hide geocaches, there would be nothing around for those who like to find geocaches.

I was worried that this cache had gone but closer inspection to a particular object yielded the cache! Thank you Earthbound Chief for placing and maintaining #10 AREA 79: Westall 66 -"Something Silver" for us to find today.

Find # 1886.

15-Apr-23
I headed down this way today for an event, so searched out a few caches beforehand.
My GPS kept directing me to an area between two possible spots, but a reasonably thorough search of both revealed nothing. Too good for me today.

08-Jan-23
So happy to turn this frown upside down . 1 more to find, and then I suspect I need to revisit some old ones, as I don’t appear to have enough clues. Thanks for this series!

18-Dec-22
We had a great time finding all the caches in the Area 79 series and collecting our clues along the way. The hides were very creative and we loved the continuos storyline throughout the series. Thanks for creating this awesome series Earthbound Chief!

Reading other people’s logs helped. I was about 10-15m off when I found it. Bot

24-Jul-22
Reading the description helped, otherwise I would’ve made a beeline for the fence

Grabbing a couple of caches on our way back from dropping daughter off at the airport. Quick find once we realised it wasnt on the fence, gps was out by 11m. TFTC

09-Jul-22
I had a good look around the fence where my gps was pointing, then I decided to read the cache page.
Quick find after that, gps was approx 10m out.

Thanks for the cache.

Had a heads up that this maybe missing, so called past on my way home from work and can report cache is still in its hiding place waiting to be found

28-May-22
Nature has been mulched here. Not sure if the case was abducted as well?

16-Apr-22
Took the no through road past the ‘Danger Quicksand’ signs, maybe that’s why the Aliens didn’t stay for long!

Thanks Earthbound Chief for #10 AREA 79: Westall 66 -"Something Silver"

Found it after a lunch trip once I widened my search. Good container and clue recorded.

07-Mar-22
Long search around here, but after eliminating a few things, found it. Very quiet here today on a rainy day.

08-Feb-22
This one was also a bit tricky at my phone was off by about 12 meters, but with the fence eliminated there was to many other beacons.

Cache was in good condition and logbook was nice and dry. TFTC

04-Feb-22
Very lucky that we aren't logging this one as a DNF. We had searched around quite a bit with no luck. We went inside the fence, just in case, but obviously no luck there either. OHC suggested one last look in a different place before we left and hey presto, the cache was at hand. Thanks for the cache and the series.

So many factories here. This is such an industrial area. I kept checking that I was on the right track. At GZ I was a bit dubious as large dump trucks kept whizzing past, but a quick search revealed the cache.

22-May-21
This is number 5 of the series for today. Lucky I picked a Saturday to come here, I can imagine how busy it would be during the week.
Took me a little while to find this one, looked at the hint and previous finds that gave me clue in the end.

17-May-21
After widening my search and looking for a while I had cache and clue in hand. Thanks chief. One left..... then the finals....

16-May-21
Came on a weekday, too busy and left. Came on a Saturday, too busy and left. Here on a Sunday now. I don’t know (and in all honesty don’t want to know) where the road leads to but while I was parked, not one, not two, but seven cars passed me. They might have wondered “what’s she doing there” as I was wondering myself . Finally dared to leave the comfort of my car and thank goodness, a quick find and clue retrieved. I know caching take you places you would never normally go and this certainly is true here, lol. Thanks for the cache Earthbound Chief.

16-May-21
I can touch it but for the life of me I can’t get it out!

10-May-21
Found. This was the second of the Area 79 caches that I looked for and was another quick find. I was a little apprehensive as I approached this one as it looked like a tree may have been removed recently, but this cache was safe and secure a little further along. TFTC

09-May-21
Thanks Earthbound Chief for these alien caches. I started the series 2 years ago. Needed an afternoon bike ride so headed down here for the three caches of the series unfound by me.
Second stop and the coordinates are out by about 9 m - the hint is true with a pun !
Only a learner driver with his dad doing the quiet streets today.

Returned for another look after our DNF (29-Dec-2020)
Well 2021 is looking like a much better year and we managed to turn that frown upside down.

**Date: 31 January 2021 2:17pm**

**The Adventure:** I headed out solo today as the Cache Whisperer finally had a day at home to do gardening and to play with his new garden toys. I was confident in my abilities but pulling up here I started to doubt myself. Luckily I checked the hint as I would’ve definitely been looking for an objet d’argent. No one around as it’s a Sunday, which gave me time to search uninterrupted.

**The Cache:** Saw something unusual after a brief search and luckily it proved fruitful. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks to Earthbound Chief for this clever cache, and for the series. Cache on.

**Cache Condition:** All good and in place.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nada
**TBs:** Visited Skippy the TB.
**Find {428}**

This is a great little cache the directions are exactly as the placer describes. TFTC

29-Dec-20
Extended our regular afternoon walk from our Springvale home to encompass this search.
GPS offered no assistance, placing us in the middle of an area void of any possible hiding spots. Taking the advice of previous logs, we stayed away from the fence and extended our search to all things 'nature' Looked and Looked for a telltale 'rope' but we came up empty and left without a clue!

02-Jul-20
After finding #11 in the series last night I'd headed to here for a look, but given the comments about sketchy coordinates etc. made only a cursory attempt before heading for home.

Back again today late-arvo, there was a little traffic passing occasionally but not too bad, and I'd also strategically parked the cachemobile so as to provide some cover from casual observation anyway, just in case.

Following the lead of some of the previous logs I had a fair idea where to look, and thankfully I was able to quickly spot something suspicious that immediately led to the container.

Signed the log, photographed the clue for future reference, thanks for the cache and series, Earthbound Chief.

10-Jun-20
Yeah well it's not silver

24-May-20
This was a quick find, I saw the rope and investigated. Tftc

16-May-20
Enabled due relaxing covid restrictions.

15-Apr-20
Disabled for the duration of the Covid-19 crisis.
I was hoping to able to avoid this step. Although exercise is ok, beaches, playgrounds, parks etc are being closed, and we are being asked to stay home.
The possibility to transmit the virus by surface contact exists, and with so little being known how long viral RNA stays viable on surfaces why take a risk?
At the end of the day, geocaching is a game, it is non essential and we are dealing with a serious Public Health emergency.
As we keep seeing people continuing to search for our caches I feel the only responsible thing to do is disable all our caches to discourage this until the crisis passes.
Thanks.

A micro adventure in the burbs sums up the day! In ‘66 I was in grade 6 so the story fascinated and excited the citizens. Top idea for the series. Loved this series and exploring the sites and locating the variety of caches. Nice to be in the bush for this one although the HUGE red belly black gave me a start! Found this one less easily so and but ditto to last few logs and advise that CO’s comments be read!. Now it’s back to Monash Medical to visit mum again... got a geo relay happening to break up hospital visits. TFTC Earthbound Chief.

06-Feb-20
Easy!

02-Dec-19
At the GZ it looks like maybe a UFO has landed.. all that is left of a group of trees along the road is mulch .. After a DNF, contacted the previous finder to get a heads up on where they placed the cache .. looks like this hide has now also been removed .. I found the cache out in the open .. I suppose the good news is the team removing the trees is not removing the cache. I have rehidden but can’t guarantee it is safe .. Thanks Earthbound Chief for placing the cache and I look forward to completing the series.

Out with all 3 geo kids visiting the nearby library. Made a stop here to follow the series.
Very busy road with big rubbish trucks driving past.
Lovely day for it anyway with sun shining and flowers in bloom on a nearby bush.
Made a quick find. Collected the clue we needed.
Cache and log in good condition.
Thank you for the cache here Earthbound Chief

I love this series!!! Made the calculated scary option of doing this series at night. I must admit, by the end I had completely freaked myself out!!! What a great set of caches and a bizarre story!!! Thanks for the 13 petrifying stops!!!!!

So after skulking along as low key as possible I chance upon an outdoor retic with a power point. After a quick phone charge and re-evaluation of my situation I am back in the hunt. Quick find secures the last traditional cache and I now head off into unknown territory...

22-Sep-19
Went out for a local adventure with my love, we were both excited for this trail. Unfortunately we missed a clue somewhere so we have to go back to find it it to try and complete it! Thanks for the great and interesting series.

Find #3522**
**Traditional Cache Find #2385**

An uncharacteristically warm and sunny day for winter was too good to pass up so I headed out to find some caches. I'm sure I looked for this cache late one Friday night or more likely, during the early morning hours of a Saturday towards the end of one of my marathon cache runs with SteMicMitSar. I suspect we were muggled out but in any case, the coast was clear today and I made a quick find.

**Thank-you to Earthbound Chief for placing this geocache**

Out in the rain and hail today, my first chance to grab some clues for the Museum Mystery! This was a pretty quick find - GZ was completely quiet today so I had the place to myself. TFTC!

I have wanted to do this series for a while but never seemed to be on the correct side of town. Today I had the morning to myself so I headed over to the Westall area to find the truth...because it IS out there!

Another quick park and grab. TFTC.

Thanks for interesting hopping cache. Easy dead log drive by.

This street is a lot busier that I expected it to be! I didn't read the description properly so I was looking in the wrong place, then I widened my search and something caught my attention. There it is, very nicely hidden.
Thank you

A large tree branch had fallen on the fence right at GZ - maybe just in the last day or 2, and I though the cache might be a goner, until I read the cache description. Then geo-nephew made a quick find. TFTC!

Mrs Aries and I are staying locally and this series grabbed my interest and was keen to do it. I had read about the incident a number times over the years.
The small area appeared to be layed flat here. Could still be like this after 52 years?

Went out caching today/tonight with Sinornithosaurus and ended up hauling around 14 caches all in all. I had uni today but we had planned to cache around class and we ended up having a blast finding so many awesome caches!! Visited some trackables, #390 (almost at 400!!!)

Instant find but very cool Smile) thanks
