The CO was nice enough to give me permission to log the "find" since I did the puzzle and was at the right final location. Sadly, fire destroyed the cache itself. TFT?

26-Jun-18
Burnt to a flat wafer in a fuel reduction fire.
There's no longer any undergrowth to hide a replacement, so I'm retiring this.

26-Jun-18
It’s definitely gone.
Fire has destroyed all the undergrowth, and the cache with it.

Greetings from Seattle.
Had this puzzle solved before my trip to Tassie. Finally in the area today but have to log it as a DNF. I'm certain I was in the right spot as the hint, which initially confused me, made perfect sense. The cache hasn't been found in 4 months and there appears to be fire damage in the area. Thinking this one may be gone.

Hi there RebornCyclist.

We found your cache **"Party Trick"** at 11:34:00 AM today. (This makes our grand total 18809).

We've been cooped up in the caravan because of the recent bad weather, so today we decided to brave the wind and rain for a short while to attempt some local caches. We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today & ended up finding a variety of container types, and sizes. Our cache count was 3 caches today, with 1 DNF's.

Thanks for placing the cache here. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 9m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

I like a good Pi cache. I solved this years ago but I have not been back to Hobart for ages so I did it again last week.
The cache was very well hidden at GZ. No chance of being muggled.
Found after a nice morning stroll
Thanks RebornCyclist

I got a nudge from EeePees to solve this puzzle a month or so ago when he knew I was going to be in the area of GZ. So I sat down and was able to solve it, but as it happens didn't have time to go searching for it on that day. Today I was passing by the area and had enough time up my sleeve for the GeoGSP and I to stop and take a stroll and have a look for it. At GZ just had to trust my instincts and sure enough the cache was revealed. Cache contents nice and dry. This one hasn't been found for a while, but it's a good little cache to do. Hadn't been to the area of GZ before and might have to come back for a longer walk another day. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache RebornCyclist.

Had a few ideas for solving the puzzle but the coordinates came out quickly. Went for a dog walk in the area today and picked up the cache. TFTC!

Solved this neat little puzzle a few months ago, and finally went out to get it today. Quick easy find at GZ. TFTC.

RebornCyclist thank you for the cache and puzzle.
I had solved this one a long time ago with out too much trouble.
This afternoon I went and found with out any problems.
3 decimal points is the best I can do.
Thank You For The Cache and puzzle.

Hi RebornCyclist, thanks for the puzzle and the hide. All is in good order at GZ.
It was a little damp in the general area due to the recent & present misty rainy showers, but our umbrella gave suitable shelter whilst opening the cache, and signing the log. Easy as pi !

Checked on the cache - it's still there.
Looking at the photo in the DNF log, it looks like you've gone to the coordinates in the listing.
You'll need to solve the puzzle on the page to get the real coordinates, and you can check these with the geocheck link at the bottom.

Didn't find it!

I looked at this puzzle when it was first published but couldn't get anywhere wit it. Had another look today and we managed to solve it in no time at all. Nice puzzle and an interesting area for a quick stroll on a nice day. TFTC

It took a while for me to catch on how to solve this one. Once I did it was a pretty straight forward find. Thankyou for the puzzle and the cache.

Well you guys know how to party... Thanks for the trick and thanks for the cache.

This morning I caught a bus down to Kingston from the city where I am staying. I enjoyed a wander around this lovely place. There are certainly plenty of shops here; and fortunately for me, plenty of quality caches too. I walked an almost complete square before I found the most appropriate track to GZ where I was able to log a quick find. Thanks for the cache RebornCyclist. I have a jigsaw almost identical to your listing background that one of my students gave me a few years ago. Don't feel too bad about your party trick, I can only quote to 5d.p.!!

Today was a special day for us. We have prepared for it for a couple of weeks because it involves a Qld Challenge cache (to be collected in the future) which requires us to visit 25 caches of different difficulty/terrain rating in the one day. Having worked out a route which would give us the required caches we set out today to achieve the challenge.
Lady Membsec had solved this some weeks ago so very happy to locate it after a few months of no activity.

Have seen this party trick before, but thankfully this one was much shorter! I've never walked around here before. Easy find in most obvious place. TFTC.

Yet another one of those puzzles i've solved a long time ago and thinking its about time I start going for some of these. Before finding this one I had DNF'd a couple of other puzzles so I was very pleased to see that my working out was right and the coords spot on. Fun puzzle and a nice find in yet another place I would never have gone to.

Thanks for the cache.

12 months after I figured out the cache, I have finally been and located the cache.
The clue was definitely a help. TNLN TFTC

Easily solved, now I've got to get back to Hobart for a find!

Worked this one out and Wilcos on the same night. Collected a few in the area today. Its great when the penny eventually drops and you know what to do. The clue has very helpful. TFTC

Nice trick RC (I'm lucky if I get to 2 decimal places), but it didn't fool the puzzler half of this duo. Well, only for a moment anyway. This was our 900th find so (after bombing out bigtime at our chosen target for the big one Da Cheesy Code) we at least wanted to make this a puzzle find. With a name like "party trick" this one met with our need to party. A few well travelled bugs came along for our little celebration.

Thanks to a big push in the right direction yesterday, I had another look at this puzzle after flirting with it on and off for ages. The solution had been so close in the past, but unfortunately I was unable to make it out. So thanks for handing it to me on a platter (or pi-dish, as the case maybe)

The cache was found before picking the kids up.

Thanks for the puzzle. Hope I can do some more!

23-Jul-13
This puzzle is very similar to one of my own, so it shouldn't have taken so long to solve. I think I kept getting distracted by the solution to my puzzle instead. Eventually it all became clear with a solution possibly more elegant than my own.

28-Apr-13
Solved the puzzle last week and was pleased to find Ground Zero near the place I park most days, but didn't have time to go looking until today. Once on right path was a fairly easy find in a lovely quiet spot. TFTC!!

Puzzle had us quite bewildered until the light bulb went on and then it all seemed quite logical really. The cache location at the GZ has a little stumped until geomum decided to come and have a "girl look". Grabbed the diabetes TB and will move this on when we return home to Adelaide. TFTC! Smile

Good puzzle, dropped off a TB. TFTC

26-Nov-12
Thanks for the nudge Reborn Cyclist. I had been looking at this one for a long time and had got it partly solved but did not know what to do with what I had discovered. The little hint help is all I needed.

02-Aug-12
Worked out this puzzle quite a while ago, and finally decided to go and find it - rather tardy, really, since it's really not very far away ! Red Face
Thanks for the cool puzzle, and the cache, RebornCyclist ! Big Grin

13-Feb-12
We have had the co-ords for this one for quite some time, but have not had a chance to pick it up. Today we finally had the opportunity. Thanks for the cache Reborn! Smile

16-Jan-12
Pi to about six places is about my limit! Enjoyed the puzzle and the short stroll on what turned out to be a rather warm and pleasant day for a walk. Took Puzzle TB. Thanks RebornCyclist for the cache.

After having a look at this puzzle, I was convinced I was supposed to do something that as it turns out, I didn't, and gave up.
Until last weekend when I saw RomanSwamp and we had a little puzzle solving exercise. And then I forgot what he said and solved it with the help of Tim Tam.
Today we happened to be in the area and so off to find the cache. It was found quickly and signed the log before any muggles turned up.
Took nothing but dropped off puzzle geocoin.
Thanks for the cache and the brain strain...

14-Jan-12
Solved this one last night so headed out today to find it. Quick walk to GZ from where we parked. Thanks for the cache

13-Jan-12
Thanks RebornCyclist for a hint the last time we met. Have finally had time to solve it and found hide easily in an interesting place we have not been before. Took TB and GC. TFTC.

12-Dec-11
Solved this puzzle when the cache was published but haven't been down this way to finally go and look for it.

Headed to Kingston today and off I went for a little stroll in another reserve I didn't know about until today.

The clue made sense when I got to GZ and a find was made. Great puzzle RC. TFTC.

Left a TB and a GC.

I just looked back at the Geocheck stats, and someone had two goes on the 19th of November - the first one was wrong only in the last digit of the latitude - so probably a typo.
Have another try with that idea - if you can't remember which idea, drop me a note for a gentle reminder!

08-Nov-11
Found this a few days ago but forgot to log the event.
The RC (southern) puzzles were solved a while ago and today (8 Nov.) was the day to do the field work and locate them.
This one was last and it turned out to be an easy find and surprising close to "civilisation".
Enjoyed the RC puzzle (as always). TNLN. Thanks.

When this was first published I looked at it and thought how in the hell do I get coordinates from that? Later on, I had a bit of a squiz and thought I guess I could look at that...and what do you know, I started to see the possibility. Very clever, got the head swell, then looked at puzzle difficulty, 2. Bah humbug. Not really clever after all. So then I tackled Romeo Charlie Zero Four - at least that was 2.5. Tonight I had to go to Kingston, so was pleased to be able to complete the find despite the little broken birds eggs not far from the cache. Incidentally, my friend used to attract a bit of attention and impress with her party trick - which was to fit her fist entirely within her mouth...but I can't say that I had a trick to call my own. Thanks reborn.

31-Oct-11
Sounds like a far more impressive trick than mine - I usually get eye rolls!
As for the difficulty - I'm probably rating them easier than has previously been done - I'm trying to leave done wriggle room for a really full scale (and hopefully interesting) puzzle.

21-Oct-11
We looked at this puzzle and were not sure where to start. Then something looked unusual - could it be? Closer inspection and the coordinates appeared. We appreciated being able to check the coordinates before coming south. We approached GZ from the lower side and found that it was easy access. The clue did not make sense until we arrived at GZ. Then, a quick find was made. Thanks for an interesting and enjoyable puzzle and for the cache RebornCyclist.

I saw this had popped up and had it on the to do list. Yesterday at work I got browbeaten by kaatka because I hadn't done it yet so had a proper look today. Had a rough idea how the solution would be found and a quick google got me the answer I needed. A lovely short stroll and I had the cache in hand. Thank you reborn. A nice little puzzle and a lovely little reserve which I hope won't end up developed like the surrounding area Big Grin

Hi Reborn
When I first looked at this cache, it was interesting to read a little of your background; some interesting info contained here. Guess the best bit was figuring out that wifey maybe a little religious as you always seem to call her MrsRC. (LOL)
The puzzle sent me "bi pi" for just a short time until my digitations kicked in for a solution.
Following a Japanese style dinner (love raw fish), I arrived at where the TomTom took me to start my sojourn to the cache and wondered if I should go that way or not. Went anyway, learning a little about that area that I had not previously known. So thanks for that.
Again, he/she who controls the weather was kind as the precipitation ceased for the full time it took me to leave and return to the car.
Passed three muggles on the way to the cache, a mother and daughter taking the family flea bag for a trundle and another on a bike getting some late afternoon exercise. He may have even been the son and brother.
Anyway; the cache sent me a little "pi-eyed" for only a wee moment or two; the quick search had me signing the log at 1824hrs.
Replaced, it was back up to the car and continue on to Huonville for a visit to my parents to check and make sure they're okay.
Looking forward to meeting you at the event
Cheers for now and thanks for the cache;
OldSaint.

Had solved this puzzle basically on the day it came out. Had the generally correct idea at first but took it a step too far. Came back one step and the solution was staring me in the face. Checked the solution and was bang on first time.

Thank you for the puzzle Reborn, and well done finding a place in Kingston without a cache - I thought I had found the last place in Kingston without a cache, but this probably just shows my lack of knowledge of the area.

Reborn : I am attempting to set a puzzle that will be up to your standard, the only issue at the moment is finding a suitable hiding spot.

By the way I don't have any party tricks like this.....
