We were heading home from a days caching in Matamata, and we stopped to find a few caches as we head home. Although this was on the wrong side of the road for us heading north, the traffic was light and we were able to swing into this reserve. We didnt want to end our day with a DNF so hid a pill bottle at gz to keep this one going - hope the CO doesnt mind
We are on a trip in New Zealand. A wonderful country with a lot of (old )caches. There are too many caches so we limit ourselves to the (old) gems or where we happen to make a stop. The cache is definitely gone. To help the Co, I placed a new onefunkymunkyzone, thank you for this cache, regards xizat-NL. Take care, this hobby can develop to an addiction.
4-week family trip through NZ - DNF !We searched for about 5 minutes, but then it was clear that there is no box anywhere near GZ. The last reliable find log is from March 2022, and the neighboring cache GC54F35 has been found many times since, so I suspect there are a number of unlogged DNFs on this one . My bet is that this cache is no longer there.----DNF #981 - 19 to go ...
No luck today here despite some helpful descriptions and a good feel around... will be back
Just found the cache at the other end of the rest area. So was surprised there was another cache close by. Quick find. Tftc
Just a couple more on the way home, Olivia's getting fed up with the caching now. Parked in the rest stop and headed to GZ. Nice hide here and strong magnet. T F T C fmz
New year has been and gone and the temperature has cranked big-style with late-20s for the last several days. After being away for the main holidays the caching has been fairly sparse but with mrs c back to work today it gives me a week before I head back myself to the home office and prep for moving South. Thanks to all COs for their caches today.
Todays trip was a chance to head out on a couple of trails away from my locale; Te Aroha and Karangahake Gorge. I had my daughter Olivia along for company and the weather brought temperatures of up to 32 degrees, phew! We enjoyed our visit to the areas and I got my target of two PWGT1 caches and also an oldie missing Jasmer month cache, yay! Not all caches were sought and we were back home just after 7PM after a 0630 start and 360 km round trip. 17kms walked all up and plenty of cool things to see and a 400 metre elevation gain out of the stream bed at '101' up to the next stop, and we were on the trail for 3 and 1/2 hours for a loop walk.

North Island Campervan trip Day 4
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
I had just picked up the campervan and my intention was to make my way over to the Coromandel and end up in Whitianga for the night. I was looking forward to the journey as this is not a route I have traveled often, and never since discovering Geocaching! For this part of my journey, I was just looking for simple park 'n' grabs, not too far off my route, and this one seemed to fit the bill.
I was able to park close to this one, and having seen this type of cache before it truly was a quick find. There were no issues at all with this cache or the log, which was signed and replaced before I was back on my way again.
Thanks for setting this cache up.

Returning to Auckland from BOP and this seemed a nice place to stop for a bit of a break. Quickly located, signed and returned
Quick pit stop on the way to Pukekohe. Cache in good shape. Greetings from the USA. TFTC.
In 2018 on a holiday to Vietnam & Cambodia, we met a Kiwi couple whose surname is Heven! When they learned that we were planning a trip to NZ in 2020, they insisted that we come and experience a ‘little bit of Heaven’! The Heavens’ are residents of the nearby Heaven Farm! So now we are here, looking for a cache with special meaning. Thanks for placing. The cache was a nice easy find and gets a Fav point because of the circumstances that brought us here. SL. TFTC.
We had a very nice holiday in New Zealand. Almost every day beautiful weather. We traveled with the camper home from the north to the south island. we have found a lot of very nice caches. Thanks for showing the nice places where we found the caches.

Weather was perfect to travel along from Auckland, Tauranga, Opotiki to Gisborne route. Beautiful scenery all the way. Found it. Thanks funkymunkyzone for placing this cache

I was traveling down country today with my daughter who needed to take a break from driving. So while we were in the nearby rest area I took a short walk and found this one. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in it's spot all ready for the next hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC
Great find on the way home to Tauranga. Very difficult not to draw attention on such a busy road but we managed to locate and grab the cache when the traffic had disappeared. TFTC
I found this one a bit tricky and a little scary! Hard to be stealthy on such a busy road and cache was not quite where I thought (hoped) it would be but a good find nonetheless TFTC
On a wee road trip to Auckland today and had a list of a few caches to pick up on our way. This was our second successful find for the day. TFTC
An impromptu trip for TeamBOP up to Duders Regional Park. Only 3 of us today consisting of myself, Davidsonclan and McJandals.
As we were now heading back home, we had to stop for just one more...this happened a few times, but back home by 1:30am.
Strange place to bring someone for a cache, but its there, so we'll get it.

On a road trip with part of Team BOP which includes myself, TNXPRO and Davidson Clan. To save room we have signed BoP and I am logging using the Cachly app Ctemplate so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these caches. Many Thanks for bringing us here. Cheers
Cornishpasty24 and I driving home to the Horowhenua from Auckland via Rotorua, decided to break the journey up by collecting a few geocaches along the way, whilst also providing the French Bulldog a stretch of her little legs.
A great little find that wasn’t quite where we expected it would be but found quickly nonetheless.

Today we drove from Whitianga to Piha and found this little cache on our tour. Thanks a lot for hiding

First day in Neuseeland and fix und fertig, da für uns heute ja nachts ist. Aber hilft ja nichts, wenn man zwei Stunden zur Unterkunft durch den Linksverkehr muss und auf dem Weg einige Caches liegen. Alle Caches mehr oder weniger schnell und gut gefunden.

Today fazzyOne and me arrived in New Zealand. On our way to our hotel wie visited this cache. Thanks for showing.
I'm from Switzerland and spend 4 months in New Zealand on vacation. Found this cache after a few minutes search, thanks.
TFTC CO, Wife found this one. Great parking not to far away and weather is really good today.
During our New Zealand vaccation we visited lots of great places. This was one of it. And it is the last one we found in NZ.
Thank you for showing.

We had to be stealthy with this one and pretend to be looking at the view across the fields as traffic passed but fortunately we were searching early in the morning and the road was reasonably quiet.
Nice hide, we have stopped at this rest stop many times in the past before we started geocaching, especially Mrs Coblet who remembers when the building was part of an orchard.

On our way to Auckland as it is nearly the end of our holiday in New Zealand, a quick find as we passed by. Not our idea of paradise!! TFTC
Easy find. But why let people park at a carpark and search near the road? Plenty of space at the carpark we think...
The Central North Island, Day 1: Auckland - Coromandel
Today we headed out for our last great adventure in New Zealand, which was to cover The Central North Island, as far down as Ruapehu. We set off from Auckland on an overcast day, and was met with rain for the better part of the morning and afternoon. That still didn’t stop me from caching, as I had been well-prepared with a raincoat and picked up only the easier ones. As the rain cleared up, there was a nice stiff breeze that accompanied me in my hunts along the Thames Coast of the Coromandel Peninsula. A relatively good, if somewhat damp day, overall.
The following is the specific log for each cache:
Another stop in the rain and I am glad it is on a familiar hiding spot or I would have been completely drenched by the time I signed the log. All good, though I never expected heaven to be so wet. TFTC!

22434 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we were went from Pauanui to Auckland. On several spots we stopped to find some caches and to enjoy the lookout views. Half day was sunny, half day was rain. Great variations today.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Several were with waterproof paper, but our stamp and pen do not work that good on such paper, where when it was wet paper it logs fantastic.
funkymunkyzone TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

One of the many caches during this year's vacation. Thanks to all of you who contributed in hiding and maintaining those caches. You are those ones who made this hobby possible.
Parked up in the layby and walked over to GZ. Took a little while to get the right place but not too long before I found it. TFTC.
Heading past here early evening while it was nice and quiet, so decided to stop and collect this cache. Parked nice and close, quick easy find, cheers
Maybe try this one at night ....so much traffic today! Pretty sure everyone thought we were mad haha
Heading to Thames to visit Mum and grabbing a few caches I've never got to. I have always thought this pitstop to be quite lovely and quite had it to myself at 9am today.
A last minute change in the family's plans for today meant I had an unexpected few hours to myself. Mulled over the options for getting out and about, given the weather wasn't great, and decided on a country road tiki tour picking up a few caches that I've been meaning to grab for a while. Felt a bit conspicuous here, so I was glad to put my hand on the cache straight away, cache all good, thanks for the hide.

On the way to paeroa to pick up grandson and thought I'd leave around and pick u some caches. Nice quick find. Good to have two so close together.
Interesting place for a cache with cars zooming past. This isn't a micro so that made it easy to spot. Tftc
While we were not that close to the traffic, it was still a bit distressing to be that close. Was an easy spot. I very much doubt many non geocachers come this way. Thanks!
On our way down to somewhere near Morrinsville for an all day doggy seminar. Google tells us we're going to arrive too early so made a stop here to let the dog out and find a cache! Hoping it won't be the only find of the day. Thanks for placing!
Found it on way back to Auckland from Tauranga. Log very wet and unusable, have replaced with spare paper and ziplock bag we happened to have!
Road trip around the Coromandel with lots of caches to find. snuck past the campervanners noses for a quick easy find. TFTC.
Not hard to find as in the obvious spot. Cars and trucks sure do rip along here. Tftc.
Thought it might be on the railing but no sign. Lots of holiday traffic and getting looks for where I was so left it as a dnf.

A late night weekend caching trip. There was no muggles around as it was really late/early morning.
Found it easily. TFTC

Took us 2 hours to get out of Auckland. So it was nice to stop andstretch our legs. Tftc.
Lots of healthy looking chooks making their home here, fortunately not too many muggles. What a busy road. TFTC
As this was being put back another car pulled into the layby and another cacher passed us! The first one we've seen this holiday!!
Nice and quiet on a weekday. No muggles in sight. Passing through on the way to hit the Hauraki Rail Trail. Met a fellow cacher on the way back to his car.
