Headed up north for a weekend roadtrip with RoamingHowie. RH had found this on a previous trip, so was able to point me in the right direction for a dnf redemption.Clever! Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, BettyBoo3747 ~~
My initial search proved fruitless - the container was not where I expected it to be. Scanning the nearby area I spotted something that I thought might have been rubbish but it was the cache. Thanks to BettyBoos3747 for the cache
Today's target with McLookers, Micaparamedic and Muzza was to finish the HSS series we started yesterday. But we couldn't resist doing nearby other ones too. A great day, with no promised rain and really nice temperatures. Signed all as 3MC. This was an unusual one indeed.
Yes, it is different!Visiting the area with Muzza, micaparamedic and ConnieandRick to complete the HSS Series. We signed the logs 3MC.Thanks for placing the cache BettyBoo3747.
Find number 12658 at 11:36:32am on Tuesday the 7 November 2023I was up at Goughs Bay for the weekend and one of my tasks for the following few days were to finish off the basketball series, with only 10 to do it shouldn't take too long, I just need to pull the finger out and get up to Everton. The plan for today is to finish off the series and grab a few more targetted caches around the area.Went around in a couple of circles before I spotted this right where it was supposed to be **Thanks for placing this cache BettyBoo3747**---If you are looking for some new caches to find, explore the nominees for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. The Nominations Geocaching List is available [here](https://coord.info/BMC8QYR)!Voting is now closed for the 2022 Victorian Cache of the Year Awards and the awards event will be posted soon
Chook joined forces with The Tritonz and headed to Wangaratta for a couple of days, with the main targets being to find a few solved puzzles and tackle the HSS Basketball Geoart before it gets archived soon.An interesting cache hide here that we thankfully didn't take too long to find. Chook remembers there used to be a horse endurance ride in Murmungee - would be well over a couple of decades ago now. Lovely area. TFTC BettyBoo3747.
This was a previous DNF for us back in '21 so we are so happy today to be able to find this fairly quickly in the company of chooknchunk. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the unusual hide.
Hmm, that was weird and not expected. Thanks for checking on this one. Bought Belinda this time as she is the guru. Quick find this time round with the help. TFTC.
Checked this one and although there has been some maintenance to the armour guard the cache is still in its correct hiding place.
Damn. No luck. Tried to consider the terrain on this one. Was at 0m and couldn’t find something that was not on the ground and large enough for a pathtag.
Out with LLRPP doing the HSS series and thought we would pick this one up on the way. What a fantastic cache. Now, onto the next one for the day. TFTC
Out with Byker152 this arvo collecting a few more of the HSS series. Love how diverse the hides are in this series, few had us scratching our heads and a couple we had to DNF. Murmungee is such an interesting area, looks like a huge meteor has crashed here causing the unique landscape in the area.
A very unique hide here, I was looking in the usual spots when Byker came up with the goods! FP awarded for a unique hide. TFTC!

Visited the cache tonight after receiving a "found log" which has been deleted by me. He told me the cache is definitely missing. It was still there in its correct hiding place. I removed the wet, sodden log and left a new log. All good to be found.
Easy find, but wasn't expecting it, when it could have been washed out recently. Not sure if cache was in the right place due to its difficulty so messaged the CO for checking. TFTC
Accompanied with pwala, silence49. We are on our way home via stopped at some places. The weather was great, the day sunny, with no rain.
We found your cache BettyBoo3747, thank you so much for placing it.

Found with Crank1 & Silence49. BettyBoo3747, thank you so much for placing it and highlighting this area.
Called past on this freezing day and put the container back where it is supposed to be. That is, not in the armour rail.

Hi BettyBoo3747, I found Murmungee in the Middle today. I found this one on the ground so I signed the logbook book and tucked it back where I thought it should be.
Many thanks BettyBoo3747 for providing and maintaining this game piece for our enjoyment.

A few people had said this was an easy find so called past to check it and the logs. Rehid and all good here.
Found with suss vulture during the aftermath of the amazing Wangaratta mega. Grabbed this one while driving around completing the Basketball. Quick find at GZ. TFTC BettyBoo3747!
Found while attending the 2022 Mega event at Wangaratta.
I drove across from Adelaide with Freddo. We took a week to get there and back as we meandered our way around northern Victoria, camping mostly along the river and generally avoiding contact with other people as far as possible to minimise covid risks.
While at the Mega we teamed up with gridge98 & Co. Most logs were signed FEGC (ie Freddo, e.gregory1 and gridge98 & Co).
We targeted some specific caches of interest, but also took the opportunity to find other random caches opportunistically as we were passing. Most of the puzzle caches were solved prior to leaving Adelaide in preparation for the trip.
Although we managed to find a lot of caches over the weekend, we really only barely scratched the surface, leaving plenty of excuses to return to the area another time. I'm sure I'll be back.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.

It was a hot day so we decided to do just a bit of caching with ilook4geo. Thanks for placing this cache go to BettyBoo3747.
This one was a bit more difficult to find as it was well hidden. Log signed and all was replaced as found. TFTC.
Today our main focus was around the HSS caches and completing most of the series where possible. A great series with some different cache hides
A short stop here today cache was easily found and is all good
After heading to tassie for almost 3 weeks, we detoured to Wangaratta for the Victorian Mega to catch up with some friends that we hadn’t seen for months if not years. We caught up with Freddo and e.gregory1 for the duration of the weekend, travelling around the local areas finding many of the caches that were on offer. To save room in the log books we signed as FEG or FEGC.
A wonderful area and nice to have a look around in somewhere I had only visited for 20mins before.
Thanks for the cache

Today it was time to head out of Wangaratta after spending most of our time on this visit in the town looking for a variety of caches and attending the various activities and events.
What a well organised Mega Event with some great activities and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow cachers!
We were hoping to avoid the heat but were late starting so we decided to focus on the HSS series and caches in between, but particularly those along roads so we could use the air conditioning.
By far the majority of caches were in good condition with accurate coordinates although a few had us searching widely and we did have a few DNFs. (We were allocating a max 5 mins for each search so as to keep moving.) We'll have to come back for them!
Our sincere thanks to the local cachers who have put in mammoth efforts in developing the copious number of caches in the area and maintaining them so effectively. Your efforts are appreciated.

Headed south with my caching mates, steeba, Hoojar and Wilbert to attend the on, off, on again COVID restricted Wangaratta Mega event...... credit to the organisers for persisting.
With us having limited time in the area, we tried to pack as much as we could into each day. From Glenrowan, to Beechworth, to Mrytleford, to Warby Ovens NP, to the streets of Wangaratta, we seemed to be on the go all the time. While the weather was too hot for caching at times we often found relief by cooling off in the river.
We found so many different types of caches, its a credit to all the CO's for providing the caches for everyone to find, whether they were new or old placements, we had a great time in Wang.
Spent the afternoon tackling some of the HSS series.

With the Mega event being held in Wangaratta, The Rats, Hoojar, Wilbert67 and I headed south for the main event but also plenty of other local hides.
We tackled trails around Glenrowan on Friday, together with Beechworth and the HSS Series before spending time around Wangaratta on the Saturday. TFTC!

Day 6 of my road trip and Day 2 of my Wangaratta MEGA event. Today I teamed up with Domsky and we spent the day trekking around the countryside. We spent a lot of time playing basketball and then headed up to Beechworth for a break and some lunch. Then it was back to the basketball and a few others as we passed by. What a great series of caches and some absolutely stunning countryside. Thank you so much for placing these here I have really enjoyed another day in this area.
It was a fun day and many laughs, it was also nice to have the variety in the caches. I am so overwhelmed by the views and the countryside feel around this area.
We signed all logs as domsky and chamad and replaced caches as we found them. There was a nice variety in the caches we found today, which just added to the fun of the day, thanks.

The lure of a couple of extra icons (Maze and Locationless) meant that I was more keen than normal to attend a Mega Event. Covid issues asside, a plan was hatched, rehatched, changed and finalised to attend for a few days in Victoria with Steeba, Wilbert67 and The Rats. Another trip away like countless others that we have done before, and yet totally different, thanks to Covid.
The caches were excellent. The company, as always, fantastic. We find more than our fair share of Adventure Labs, as well as complting a few series. I think we walked away with 300 finds, not a bad haul. The laughs were endless, but that is to be expected on trips away like this.
Thanks so much to all of the cache hiders, and especially to the event organisers. I cannot imagine the hoops that you had to keep jumping through to get this off the ground. A special thank you for bringing the Maze Down Under!
Please forgive the boiler-plate log, I assure you it is no reflection on the caching experience of our few days away. Again thank you to all cache owners for their hides.
Cheers

We really enjoyed the scenery along our way today. The drive was long but we had the opportunity to explore so many parts of this region.
We agree, it does look like a crater in a volcanic plug.
The sky was cloudy and brewing today and the colours were magic. We loved our visit to GZ.
Log signed.

A plan was hatched for us four Queenslanders, RoddyC, hatsofff & grannysmith1947 (signing as Team 44 QLD) to join maccamob to start on the HSS series as well as picking up a few solved puzzles & trads along the way.
Most caches were found in great condition and were easily enough to spot, we also appreciate all the time and effort that has gone into placing and maintaining these caches for our benefit, thank you to all the CO's.

Found by Mary and David, in company with RoddyC, Snickersallan, hatzofff and Grannysmith1947, at 10:30. We'd planned on doing some more of this series beore we came to Wangaratta for the Mega, and today we put the plan into operation. A short break from all the HSS caches for this one. Haven't seen this before, so a FP awarded. Our thanks to BettyBoo3747.

barb2e, Kittykatch, Joolay and I went on a roadtrip to Beechworth and surrounds after we had solved a lot of the puzzles around here in the last few months. We went to Myrtleford this morning and then attacked the Basketball with quite a few others on the side.

This afternoon I decided some more caching was in order as we were leaving Punkah to go home tomorrow. Babcia and 2 kids were not interested in joining us, so hubby and 1 kid joined me on our ongoing caching adventures. My mission was to begin the long task of picking up the caches in the HSS series and a few other random ones along the way.
Oh this was a little beauty. Surprisingly hubby found it straight away before I could even get a look. He has come a long way proving himself a worthy cacher now and no longer a muggle. I was impressed. The cache and log is in good condition.
We enjoyed all the different cloud formations as we made our way around the area this afternoon. Bright blue sky with big fluffy clouds. This was our last cache find for today and it was now time to head back to the caravan park for some dinner.
Thank you for the cache here BettyBoo3747 A fav point from us. A clever hide.

Surprisingly a quick find by geo hubby, I can see why it could of taken a little while for others to find. Thanks for the cache
Found almost immediately, interesting cache container. Could have taken us ages, but luckily I was looking at the right spot at the right time and stubbled upon it.
It was looking like a wet day but due to just having escaped lockdown we thought we should make the most of it. The decision was made to leave the geoboys home as if it was cold and wet we would never hear the end of it. The girls did very well today taking home close to 30 caches. Still plenty to go in this region.
We nearly gave up on this one, however I spotted it as we were leaving. Strange container, wasn’t really sure about why it was set up this way and in the location in which it was found.

So very happy to get out with RubyTuesday3 and my daughter to enjoy the beautiful weather after several weeks in lockdown. Decided to get out and have a crack at the basketball series.
Whilst out, we thought we'd do this one too! Very different. Almost gave up and then found it!

dalerious and catnap777 asked if I wanted to accompany them for a possible FTF hunt and a bit of caching[?][?]
I'm guessing that they didn't really expect me to say 'no'!
Rex and I had a huge day out[|)][xx(][|)] because after sharing a noodle lunch with dalerious and catnap777[:X], we took off to cache elsewhere and left the lovebirds[:X][^][:X] to their own devices and company[^]
34 cache attempts, between 9.31am and 1.51am the following morning, resulted in 5 DNFs and 29 finds
Starting in the Warbys, we ended up trying, but not succeeding, to complete the HSS series and finally ended the trip with a DNF in a foggy cemetery at Myrtleford
DNF! One day, or night, I am going to find this cache! I'll keep trying![^]

Decided to try and finish off the basketball GeoArt today so ventured out to this area a little earlier this time to maximise the day.
A tricky hide indeed. I took some of the description a little too literally and after crawling through the drain and coming up with nothing I continued my search and eventually found the tricky hide.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.

We made the very long drive last night to head up to crash with Gemma & co for a couple of nights. We headed to Myrtleford to break for lunch, complete some labs and thoroughly enjoyed spotting the mosaics all over town. A great day all round with lots of cache variety. TFTC

In Wangaratta for a few days of exploring with the kids. Becca85 and her kids came for a couple of days to reignite TeamClarmensma (GemmaSistema, Becca85, AdamSistema, LukeSistema, neisha07 and boo09). Today we hit up the basketball series and other random caches along the way. After solving most of these caches years ago it was nice to pick up just a few! We also headed to Myrtleford and I was blown away by the mosaics. So very magical. Thanks for the cache and the excuse to get out and explore.

Called past today whilst travelling through the basin. Robmc finally discovered the cache. A good hiding spot but not where it is supposed to be. Now back in its original hiding place and good to be found.
Heading to Dinner at Happy Valley from Beechworth we went via Stanley and grabbed a few caches along the way.
Parked nearby, took a bit of searching but finally spotted something out of the ordinary and rewarded with the find

Ok so maybe I shouldn't sound quite so excited but it seems this early BettyBoo has caused a few headaches for all my closest caching companions.
Cybergran V and her MuggleHubby, ILookedThere and even Locus Cache have all on sepparate occassions been confounded by this one. [:o]

Finally found this one while out with dalerious and Cybergran V. I can understand the creep on this one. Very tricky find. Replaced back exactly where i found it. TFTC.
This spot was so familiar, but my compass had me wandering in circles, however dalerious located it, and I remembered as soon as I saw the cache, that I had been here before, and had certainly found this cache, but must have forgotten to log it. However that has now been attended to.
Thanks for the cache BettyBoo3747.
And so endeth our day of caching as dalerious must go henceforth to Beechworth to refuel, and head homeward.
Like Arnie said we shall return!

Called past today on the way to a maintenance run around Myrtleford. Retrieved cache and have put it back where it should be. Please return as you found it and don't move it to the guard rail thank you.
Will put it back where it is supposed to be when I get a chance. It was found in the correct place but moved to somewhere else today.
A lucky find since the cache was not where it was supposed to be. May need to be attended to by CO as we just placed in a convenient spot
Found with catnap. Wasn't difficult to assume container had been misplaced or fallen. Especially as the container had wire attached and as such would not be placed on ground. CO should investigate.
Blame mystery at the museum for logs via the app while on the road!
Ok so that's not quite true for this day/night's caching trip... I just thought I'd leave it in here to tie all the caches found for this challenge together!
Rex and I set out with the mission to find 32 geocaches in order to meet the requirements for this current challenge.
Naturally it was a freezing cold (Arctic winds and weather due to what was described as 'the worst storm of winter') so we spent all day from about 4pm until midnight traipsing through long, wet grass and water filled roadside verges with rain falling intermittently and cold winds blowing through us [xx(][xx(]
I found the last cache just before midnight [|)][xx(] then changed into dry clothes for the trip home [^] and had Harry's heater on high [:X][^]
All up 34 cache finds and 6 DNF's although we did manage to find a couple that had previously been DNFs so that made the day/night much brighter especially since I had only been caching about an hour with my hand held sun when the sunlight ceased! [xx(]
No problems, spare charged batteries in Harry [^] except a short while later they shut down too[xx(] Obviously they WEREN'T charged
Time to rely on the head torch and pray that the batteries in it don't go flat before I get the last 6 or so caches that I need Thankfully it did last and the goal was met!! [^][^]
DNF! I'm very sure that the cache is still here!! However with torches going flat and me being tired, cold and tired of caching.... I was NOT going near any crater tonight [|)][xx(][^] I'll be back another, drier day/night [^]

Found as Nicnax with PapaGrouch. We needed some caches to collect another souvenir so we went chasing a basketball. This wasn't a basketball but it was nearby. Checked the usual spots then read the description more carefully and expanded the search. I spotted something a bit different and PapaGrouch retrieved it. TFTC
Obviously a cunning hide. I would have liked to have found it, but with daylight fast fading away I had keep moving.
We headed over to Beechworth to attend the Murmumgee Pumpkin Festival and give BettyBoo3747 some moral support and comic relief. We headed off to the festival today and collected a few on our way in.
Have to say we needed to rad the past logs for some assistance and then realised we just needed to trust the GPSr and move away from the rail. Clever hide - can see why it causes so much grief.
Thanks for showing us the area BettyBoo3747

Well this one is a difficult one to find, instinct had us look very, very close to where we found the cache. This only happened after we had scoured every other square inch within 20 meters or so it felt. Sit in the car and have a think about it and we decided to go back to where we started and this time we were a lot more thorough and the cache gods were kind to us and gave us a cache. SL TFTC
From a few past logs I figured this one had moved once more. It is NOT supposed to be in the guard rail and has therefore now been put back in the correct hiding place.
#1516 Day 3 of the Great Vic Bike Ride 2018. This year is Bright to Benalla. Today's leg is Beechworth loop via Milawa (85km). A quickish find but had to time my retrieval and return in breaks in the passing cycle traffic. One needs to take care not to lose one's footing on the edge of the road - just saying.... BTW, being the centre of the crater floor it meant there was only one way out and that meant a hill.......TNLNSL. TFTC BettyBoo3747.
I had looked for this on a previous basketball trip and no luck. Today was a quick find in a location that I am certain I looked before. CO may need to check placement - not certain in correct position given previous comments - TFTC
Very cool cache. Less cool was the giant spider riding along on the container (he got a surprise flight, and I got a surprise fright).
TFTC, great views from up the road!

Just for a change, this cache wasn’t where you’d expect it to be; at the end of the bridge in the guard rail. However the placement means you’ve got to be vigilant and watch for traffic from both directions. At least there’s some large trees along the creek banks for the birds to roost and nest in.
Another day of playing basketball. We have made a small dent in it, but it still looks rather flat. Today we tackled another ten or so. And this one sort of just got in the way.
Oh no, not another guard rail cache, but yes it was a bit different.
Thanks BettyBoo.

Powered up to this cache although grounded we believed it should be better guarded. Up to the CO I guess. Found on our bicycle ride instead of cross country skiing at Falls Creek. tftc. Quiet bitumen roads for cycling. Yeah.
This one was clearly visible to the casual observer and it was unclear where it was supposed to reside. Tucked it away and covered it as best I could but might need checking by CO at some stage. TFTC BB3747
A quick find here luckily as some previous hunters seem to have been less successful another of your inventive caches. Keep up the great work. A favourite point for this one Thanks BettyBoo
Found, during a land care information evening where they were teaching people about getocashing.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the GC

Awesome disguise! I looked at it and missed it completely. If my friend didn't look closer we never would have found the cache.
Called past today and cache is all safe where it should be and in good condition.
We searched for some time but with limited time had to call it after 10 minutes. Thanks for the cache and I WISH I KNEW WHERE IT WAS HIDDEN !!!
Not what I expected! Autumn arvo. Waning warmth Long shadows.! TFTC and variety! A spare hour, so why not go caching!
After visiting the giant pumpkin festival and putting the schools pumpkin in we headed out for a cache. Found this cool cache after a quick search. Thanks for the effort
