Find#1979Me and Shaneo58 are down here in Canberra from the Hunter Valley targeting certain caches to complete the 3x3 challenges set out by Team737. On an absolute horrible rainy day we found and signed this cache. Log and cache in good condition although its up rather than down now. TFTC
After a great catch up at Hogwarts Feast, today we are looking for caches starting with R and C. After that we will look at whats around us and do some ad hoc caching. We really wanted this one as it forms part of a challenge cache series in Qld. Thanks Mighty Minions for the help, it was too good for us.Thanks Fore! for placing and maintaining this cache.
A nice quick little multi found while in the area. Thanks for the cache tnln replaced as found sl
This is my first fore!ay into the world after Christmas. I was quite content pottering around at home, but caching beckoned. I needed a multi and a mystery for the day and when I filtered for T1-1.5 caches, because I am still recovering from ACL surgery, this one popped up on my map. When I read the description at home the needed information turned out being in an unexpected format. Easy I thought though. Well, the first bit was easy, the second less so. I eventually PAF and mid messaging I turned around and looked straight at the cache. I swore and swear I looked there before. Sorry to all the spiders I upset. TFTC
A nice and easy offset multi. Love this! Nice to have a GZ so close. Too many are way further when there is a reasonable spot within like 30m. Took a while of searching at GZ because I was misinterpreting(?) the hint. Looking at the logs got me to eventually locate the cache. Well hidden from muggles!

#1011 Popped passed here after finding another cache this evening and before heading home. Made quick work of solving coordinates for GZ, which is already sort of guessed as I can recall coming to the park as a kid. Headed over to GZ from the park after confirming my coordinates and was now faced with the next challenge. Finding the cache. I thought I’d looked absolutely everywhere after spending a good 20 minutes searching before having to PAF and realising I’d probably looked at that spot multiple times, doh! Always good to make the find in the end. Thanks Fore! For the hide
Back again for another attempt after reaching out for help to the previous successful finder. Other finders report that solved co-ords have always been a little off here since the old BBQs were demolished but the obvious structure is a good replacement.
Even knowing where it was found, this still took me a good 5 minutes of detailed searching. Rather than the hint referring to "pluck it out of your bottom", it might be more accurate to say "reach for the sky. You call that reaching? Higher, people, higher!"
Probably best to retrieve when there's no-one else around. I suspect it's been put back (an aeon ago) where it lies today because the magnet isn't being very, well, magnetic - so it needs somewhere to sit.
Glad to have redeemed my earlier DNF!

If it's in the section of long grass I'm not going to find it as the spiders have already made enough of a meal of me today. Might try again another day.
A quick find on an evening cycle into the suburbs (and then back again). After the required objects at GZ were sighted and the calculations made, we were on our way onwards.
A short search with just enough heed paid to our GPS soon had the hide spotted. Only a few manoeuvres were required to sign and replace the log by torchlight. Thanks for the fun multi Fore! Glad it is still here despite the recent logs.

I had this area to myself today, so sauntered over, quickly calculated GZ (cute playground!) and then completely failed to find it.
In desperation I MAF'd who confirmed my co-ordinates and the location and nature of the hide; alas, it wasn't to be found today.
At almost a year since last found I do hope it hasn't gone walkabout...

After finishing work for the day I made plans to meet up with Aquilus1 to do some caching and clear out some of these local caches.
Having DNF'd this one years ago due to people using the GZ the blue face looked pretty sad on my map so I dropped past to finally grab this one.

The birds were singing a lovely tune this afternoon as I hunted for the cache. Took me much much longer than it should have to make the find. These are usually my favourite! Now back to the car where MuggleGeorge is waiting patiently. Thanks for the cache!
After work and time to get a cache for the day. Rain has stopped for now but it has been wonderful. Thanks for bringing me here it’s in a lovely spot. I can hear the water running in the creek. TFTC
When I woke up this morning, I had 34 more caches to go in order to reach the celebrated fourth souvenir before 11 August. The Mystery at the Museum is no mystery at all, I discovered a while ago - it's just a hunt for 57 caches. Anyway, as I log this I think I've halved the number of caches I need.
I had help today to get so many finds. TikvaNZ did all the driving. Fox in Jox provided extra eyeballs. Between the three of us, we racked up zero DNFs, and demolished snacks at Sutton and Belco. (Mmmm, quiche for brekkie at the bakery. Scruptious!)
Most of the caches that I found today were traditional caches that were also micro caches. This is helping me get closer to qualifying for some local challenge caches that I have been working on for a long time.
At the listed coordinates we did the counting and calculating. Not long afterwards we were at GZ, where I came up with the goods. Extracting the log took a while. Eventually three sets of initials were entered into the strip of paper, and it was time to get grab the next cache.
Thanks Fore!

Out and about with ZQX and TikvaNZ, so they can collect the Mystery at the Museum souvenirs. I had a few dnf'd caches to avenge.
ZQX was keen to get this one, so we tagged along. Container was soon found and signed. TFTC

A day of cache collecting around Canberra - mostly with the aim of filling in a few suburbs, but scattered other caches included. Night time caching, but found quickly by phone light. Lots of spider webs to avoid. TFTC!
Day 11: Clear Waters Mega Trip
Today was the day to attack the Southside of Canberra picking up our targeted caches.
Thanks Fore! for being part of my Clear Waters adventure.

It was a long and tiring day where almost nothing was going right. Spent all day at the hospital effectively just waiting. My son missed his orthodontist appointment as a result! Wait, wait, wait. So I was glad it was finally the end of the day, but a daily cache (#307) must be found so I dragged myself back out again in the evening.
This cache was sounded ideal, an easy nearby multi and indeed it was. All was dark at the posted coords. Nice and quiet with nobody around. At this time of night, I would be surprised otherwise. The gumnuts were counted although I almost made a silly mistake. Calculated the final coords and walked the very short distance to look for the cache. It was found in the first place I looked. Log signed and back home, all in quick time which made me feel better. TFTM

Got a steer from a fellow cacher and made the find this afternoon. Lucky third attempt! Tftc!
A bit concerned about whether this one might have gone missing after the previous DNF but after plugging in the coords this was a quick find, albeit in the last spot I checked out, inevitably. TFTC Fore!
Returned today after seeing that it had been replaced, and found with ease in suspected position. Log signed and returned. TFTC
On a nice dog walk today with Dino in another part of Belconnen we had never been.
This one made for a nice quick find today.
Cache in good order.
We met another dog owner at the playground, super young dog and a nice chat to then finally having the opportunity to go and search for the cache before it was too dark.
Thank you Fore! for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

Thanks fore ! Found the newly placed cache safe and sound. Signed as PJB in the new log.
Fore!’s geocaching secretary reporting for duty: the cache has been replaced...cache on!
Worked out the coordinates without issue, but could not find the cache. Appears some changes have gone on with the nearby bbq totally dismantled. The concrete slab all that remains. Been over a year since the last find, wondering, is it still here?
Out for a morning of caching,
New the answer before I even got there as I have been to the park many times. Unfortunately was thwarted by the group of muggles at GZ. I will return another time.

Monday 6 March 2017 - a glorious sunny Spring afternoon with a brilliant blue sky to take Nonna for a short walk. Beautiful location BUT be careful where the fingers searching for the cache as it is scarily the same size and colour as quite a few Red Back spiders that reside very very close-by. Thanks for the hint as GZ was in the middle of lawn. TFTC Fore!
Came here a looong time ago when I first started and couldn't find this one. Gps bounced and muggles everywhere. Finally came back with Aquilus1 so we could fill a hole in our smiley army. Gps still bounced a little, but hint was spot on and we soon had the cih. Tftc!!!
Out with dty73 in the cool of the evening. A nice straight forward multi that soon had cache in hand and log signed to the sounds of crickets under a near full moon. Glad we looked well first before putting our hands there. Redbacks and spiders love this location!
We decided to treat ourselves and take today off work (no more work until next year - yay!) so of course we took the opportunity to find a "few" caches. We loaded up the car with Saf's bike and The Woofer, and arrived at our destination on the dot of 6AM. Over 6 hours later, sore, hot, and with 31 caches found, we decided that might be enough, and headed home to our air-conditioning! We left something small in each one, where possible, and only had 2 DNFs. Not a bad run!
Sadly, this was one of our DNFs today. We solved the puzzle and made the very short walk to GZ. We searched every inch, including a nearby structure, despite it being too far to count. After about 30 minutes we had to give up...would love to know where it was!

Finally some sunshine in Canberra Decided to grab a couple geocaches today, some in the company of FFLL2 and others were done solo. Main target today was the CITO event, cant turn down the chance for a new souvenir [:o)]
A nice easy multi this one, had to be mindful of the muggle kids that arrived not long after me but I soon had cache in hand, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache Fore! [^]

I escaped for a couple of hours caching this afternoon, mostly park and grabs. No muggles here today, so I quickly rechecked my previous calculations, and wandered to GZ. This time I soon had the cache in hand. TFTC.

F(H)ound It! No.1229 - @3:03:00 PM
I'm over this side of town visiting a buddy and found her cooking as displacement activity, avoiding her Sunday chores - I had a better idea. So my muggle friend was shocked and impressed with the size of this one and not surprised we had to DNF the first time round, although I asssured her it was missing that day. Thanks for the cache, Fore!

Solved easily enough but the gz was covered by children who had built an awesome bush mansion! Tried hard to find but with numerous kids around we gave up. Hopefully they did not find and destroy!
Now that's a micro! Nice easy multi/puzzle. Nice area, will have to come back for a BBQ TFTC!
Parked nearby and quickly calculated the coordinates. GZ was pretty much dead but I still felt exposed as there are LOTS of overlooking houses.
Lucky it only took about 2 mins of searching and the cache was found in great condition! Thanks Fore!

Loki didn't think this through before arriving and wondered how you kept the number of gumnuts constant . Quickly sorted the coordinates and made an easy find at GZ. Thankfully the area was quiet this morning. Thanks Fore!
I decided to make the detour and try this one again, hoping to change the blue DNF frown to a bright smiley. I arrived at the park, still the same number of gumnuts, still the same calculated GZ. I started searching but then noticed a man walking a dog. I stopped for a while until he'd moved on and started again, only to notice he'd turned around and was watching me. I moved to a different location, looking at some of the other nearby features until I was certain he'd gone. Then back to GZ and this time I was in the right place to spot the hide. Another nice, new, pristine log for me to sign - another first to re-find this morning. Thank you Fore! and Allrounder for replacing the cache. TFTC
Given this has been replace, it was a high priority to find. But I couldn't find it! I had a book with me and spent a good hour enjoying the warmth and lack of flies to relax and read (and searching between muggles).
On an afternoon multi raid. Unfortunately I ended the afternoon with only 2 finds and 3 DNF or did not complete. As per the recent logs, I too came up empty handed.
My experience was the same as the previous logger minus the rain. I'm visiting North-side to do a bit of caching. My friends, one of whom is a birdwatcher, took me on their "usual" route up to the lake and back. A very pleasant ~12km walk. This was our first DNF for today (6 found out of 10 attempted - 4 = my worst DNF day ever).
On a cold and damp morning I thought this would be a short and cheerful, but alas no. I arrived at WP1, did a count and quick calculation that led me to a likely spot. Looked around and around and then checked the hint. This agreed with where I'd been looking, but I decided to widen the search area. Still no luck. Then when the drizzle started I decided it's better to move on and try another. I'll keep an eye on this one.
Chose this one to explain and demonstrate geocaching in general and multis in particular to a friend who lives nearby. Found this one quite quickly but encouraged friend to find for herself which she did eventually but has chosen not to log it today, instead will bring hubby and grandson to GZ hoping to introduce them into the game. Straight to the cache after solving the coordinates and quickly found and logged. My old stomping ground!
Found with AG27 this morning. Had a play on the equipment while waiting for GeoMum to do the Suns! TFTC
Went out with KittyKatch and GrimRaider to take the geodogs for a walk, after me failing to bring my payment summary to do my tax, which KittyKatch was showing me. Glad we did as it was a great day to go out and the lots of yucky, smelly objects for the geodogs to roll in and places for a swim - perfect. TFTC
Found with GrimRaider and DarzeeDi out on a walk with the geohounds. What a lovely spot to bring the kids - a nice playground and bbqs with seating. We had a lovely walk along the creek and out along the paddocks. Thanks again Fore
Came over here on a nice long walk with the Geodog, to find another nearby cache (that someone had recently placed smack bang in the middle of a patch of plants I helped plant several years ago, and still help weed/etc, with my local Landcare group and we decided to keep going and snaffle this one too (then we kept going again and got another before heading back home - lol)
Having read the hint at some stage in the week or 2 before, but for some odd reason not actually forgetting what it said, like I usually do, I was kind of looking for ... something else ... but when my iPhone lead me in a circle around GZ I realised I wasn't looking for one of ... those ... it was one of these ... and quickly made the find
TFTC - nice little spot, good excuse to come wandering past here again
btw - had Fore's Geocoin with me too (picked up at a recent ... ish ... event) - don't think it would have fitted in this cache, but it did fit in the next one I found, nearby

Thanks, nice area.
Thanks, nice area.
This fortnight for me entails a full-time job and also 24 gym classes. So this weekend I decided that even though the dog needed some exercise, I really Didn't, and instead sought out some easy suburban caching with only a moderate amount of pretty flat walking involved. The geo-mutt still got plenty of fun and entertainment. Arrived at the posted coordinates and derived the maths and the final location very quickly even with muggles in all directions. Nice to see so many people enjoying themselves outside on such a wonderful day.
A nice simple offset and a short walk. I only did this because I had to take a long detour to get across Ginninderra Creek after walking around West McGregor. TFTC.
#1069 - 10:25; Another Fore! cache off the 'to do' list as well as helping keep the non-traditional finds ticking along too. Dropped by this nice little park on the way to pick a mate up to go to the airport. Had some spare time, so as you do in these situations, you grab a cahe! TFTC Fore!
I had solved this one a while ago but only got back there today to pick it up. The wind was blowing a gale and making things very unpleasant.

What is it with a beautiful spring day after a week or more of bleak weather that seems to bring out the muggles? I pulled up and as I was about to get out of my car muggles on a bike stopped to right there. Had to go and get some other cache. When I came back I had the place to myself. The afternoon sun shone some magic light on the gumnuts their their protector.
Quick find here in the rain, is nice to finally get this smiley. TFTC

422. Out at 0700 on a rather mild Canberra winter morning hunting some recently published caches and some others (mostly micros )I haven't got to yet, this was the later.
Thankfully I've been to this area a few times before and guessed which gum nuts were in question. Due to that I was able to solve the real coords from the comfort of my home.
Quick and easy find!
Thanks once again Fore! for a well thought of and designed cache

Found at lunchtime today. As I expected with another Fore! cache there would be something new and interesting. It is cache locations like this one that really makes geocaching a thoroughly enjoyable activity for me.
Thanks Fore! another enjoyable cache.

Be sure to read the altered way to find the new GZ. With a land care project here in 2 weeks' time the old hide wasn't worth the risk!
Headed out to this one with Raspberryvinegar to do a check, finally (sorry) and indeed it is gone; I'm trying to fashion a suitable replacement, but I fear it won't be up to the same standard. I will keep this one offline for the moment, but will endeavour to have it back in place as soon as I can amke something suitably themed. Thanks for your patience. Huxley came for the romp out here too.
Searched through all the debris left over from water run off. Not able to locate this one...contacted the CO who will check it out.

Found on a nice Remembrance Day with Drumstix1623. After getting the answers, it was a short walk to GZ, where the find was made quickly. A fantastic container, well done! Unfortunately, the log was unsignable, because it was very wet, this may need to be checked. Great area. Thanks Fore!!
