Another Forest Lake cache destroyed. Thinking it’s time to archive this one too.
Found the chord but no cache on end of it. Probably gone floatabout as flood level well above GZ. Will send photo to CO for final approval
Bugger. Sounds like another repair required. Will disable this one for awhile.
There is currently a temporary container here. Please do not attempt this cache if you are scared of spiders or lots of overgrown vegetation. I will fix this one shortly when I come out to check on the rest in the area. I was awaiting supplies from the previous owner & I now have these supplies. Please be patient, all will be back up & running soon enough
Out with ankakeca for a few hours.
It was a scratchy lantana bash to get to GZ No problems making the find, but it'll need some care from the CO, as the cord is broken and the lid is missing. TFTC, a muggle no more.

I am saying this is the easy way !?! But my legs are s but too clumsy... geobuddy to the rescue! Thanks for the cache!
Found on today's walk in the area together with Larsben. A trail with a lot of creepies and crawlies. Thanks for the entertainment!
After tripping over branches and climbing across a pipe, I was stuck close, but far enough from GZ. More bushbashing was required to find the cache. It had no lid and a spider was living in it, so I thought it would be best not to sign.
Significant cache maintenance required. In the mean time, a temporary cache has been placed inside out covering of original cache. Room for 1 or 2 swaps.
TFTC Out with new CO to discover caches and do maintenance if required.
This was completed gutted. Added a new log, pencil and holder.
Cache is on eastern side of creek but had to approach from west using log to cross creek.

You're not a baby anymore was transferred from an old hag to user a muggle no more
Took a while to get through the bush - made it much harder than it needed to be! Found an empty container with no lid. String looks like it had also been cut
Placed small booklet into cache for future finders, but not sure how it will last in the rain. TFTC

Did it the hard way, used long arms to find a container with no lid but an instruction fitting the title of this cache. No bottle to be found. Looks like it'll need some attention from the CO. Fun crossing creeks both ways
No find. I got as far as a pipe that looked like I had to climb over, and chickened out!!!!!
Wasn't too sure what to expect when going to look for this one but when we did the name of the cache made sense. Was a great way to get to the cache also, I had a flashback of a scene from the movie The Goonies, lol. TFTC, creative idea.
17/1/16 Out caching with Marina25 today to grab the caches required for a particular monthly challenge. We took a walk along the path and soon enough our compass was telling us to head in. Glad we had read some previous logs as we felt all the lantana meant we were in the right place. At one point the lantana was thick but a few steps and we were through to what seemed a logical GZ. One place stood out to me so I climbed on and took a look and sure enough a cache was discovered. Cute container too. TFTC an old hag
From one old hag to another TFTC after hacking through the lantana it was quickly found co-ords are spot on
Wow, happy to admit that i am a baby when it came to this one! Nearly stepped on the biggest snake I have ever seen in my life! Pulled the pin on this one after that!
Today _Mud_Blood_ , my mother and I decided to do this trail of very popular caches and they really were loved for all different reasons! I had an absolute blast finding the caches in this trail. I have also allocated a favourite point for this one!
I think this cache out of all on this trail was the most difficult to approach. We had tried this and that and my phone coverage became horrible. We soon figured out where we had to go only to find a fallen down tree with severely overgrown lantana had blocked our path. (It also didn't help that it was raining, wet and slippery) _Mud_Blood_ and I soon improvised and took the hard way around to this cache. I think finding the cache was the easy part! So. Many. Thorns!!!! Thank you for bringing us to this wonderful place and once we had bushbashed our way through, I loved the creative cache! TFTC!

Lantana has gone wild. Lots of scratches getting to creek. Wound up 20 meters south of log bridge.
Left 3 swaps and a fav point for design. TFTC.

Easy find though spidet ran across hand as I picked up the container! Brrrr. Left some swaps. TFTC.
Had great fun attacking this one today. Parked near GZ and took the long way, resulting in an interesting creek crossing!
GZ found and cache retrieved, love the container.
TFTC all good with the cache.

Well it happened again - on the wrong side of the creek - decided I could jump it, only slipped and ended up in the water. I had decided that it would be easier to jump across than try to mount the large object that was present as a bridge. That was a mistake. Anyway when my geo-grandson and I got across and at GZ it was an easy find and we crossed the large object back across - not the most graceful landing as I jumped down but ... Thanks "nice" old hag.
Sorry did take trackable. Could be a while before the next person finds this cache.
OK that took awhile... We were on the wrong side of the river lol took the travel bug to get him moving again
I got to 20m from the cache but alas I forgot my earthmoving equipment. I know my idea of a terrain 3 may differ from another person's idea of a terrain 3 but I also believe that terrains change over 4 years and caches do periodically need to be checked up on because I stopped having fun whilst looking for this cache.
Thick bush. Got to creek and looked where we thought it would be but no luck. Could you check it is still in place please
Making the most of our G20 public holiday, Dr_Pepi and I went adventuring to discover some caches. Very cute container - well done 'old hag! SL -TFTC
Continuing along this trail of caches with trin_007. Not really sure whether we took the easy way or the hard way into this one, but again a bit of bush bashing and making lots of noise to scare off any potential snakes in the area. I was lagging behind still reading logs when Trin yelled out that she'd found it. Container totally appropriate for the name of the cache .

Over from WA for the week. Lovely area even though I fell over getting to this one good hide & TFTC
Oh wow what an adventure, I love how geocaching can help you to over come your fears sometimes Today was one of them and that is my fear of hights by crossing the beam then another log, with the help of my geo son and daughter encouraging me by saying I can do it and holding my hand to help me across then only to realize I didn't have to and there was a much easier way but thats me I always like taking the hard way to do things it's more fun and challenging that way. I loved the cache it was cute and I took the geocoin to move him along tftc an old hag
After following a couple of difficult tracks we found the easy way in. Nice spot, thanks for bringing us here!
After tossing up which was the best track to take we headed back out and saw we had past the easiest path already. Once we found the right way in the cache was soon in our hands. TFTC!
Found with friends who enjoy high beam walking!! Another great hide by an old hag.
cache find #1812 Out caching today with Diamonjs and joojoo57. Strolled in from the path and made our way along the beam and onto the cache. Mr GT54's long arms made the quick find. Clever idea for a cache. TFTC.
We chose the hard way over the balancing beam and made it to the other side without getting wet. TFTC
From the previous cache, I could see a fence line. So I headed to that. Oh there is a concrete path here. Walked along that until I had to bush bash. My map showed me that I wouldn't have to cross the creek. But alas I had to. Great idea for a cache! TFTC old hag!
We made our way to this cache, good balance as mentioned in previous logs was needed. Watched by a nearby possum as we searched. Found the cache, signed log & replaced. TFTC
TFTC. #212. I definitely took the hard way to this cache. A few small cuts from thorny plants. Found the easy way out though!
Yep, I'm back in the bush with flora and team bad. A lot of thought went into this one. a fav from me.

I suppose I can't really say that I found it - as I didn't sign the log.
I remember my sister telling me about this one. Being the young one - I went across. The cache was hidden well, but there was a spider guarding it. (And if you know me at all) - I hate spiders.
So I scurried away, and back to the safety of Dad and the bikes.
Will hopefully make it back soon, and complete this.
Thanks for a scary adventure.

Wow we have had a wonderful day finding "OldHag" Cache beautiful and challenging, walking over the very large majestic tree the prize was worth every cellular fear I had in this 55 young suite of a body TFTC
Found @10:21:00 AM.
Out on the bike trail before the heat gets unbearable. An easy find.
Thanks to an old hag for the cache

hacked our way in with a stick. great spot. Found with Stooy, thanks for a great little cache
An easy way in could not be found so we fashioned up a makeshift machete and hacked our way into jungle. Swatting away giant spiderwebs and crossing an ancient bridge in our quest for this one. nearing GZ the GPS on our phones wouldn't agree so we used more old skool techniques. We attempted to leave via an easier route but discovered the overgrown path we came in on was actually the easy path..! I definatly shouldn't have worn thongs for this one! +1 fav from me
Started 'old hag's' trail through Forest Lake back in March earlier this year (time flies!) and finally we were in the vicinity again. Fortunately we were on the right side of the creek and the iPhone was behaving today so it was a nice quick find. All ok with cache and log.
TFTC.
TFTC.
Lovely hide and yes, I totally planned to go the loooong way round with multiple river crossings whilst carrying kid on shoulders.
Well I had visions of Patrick Swayze as Geolze dirty danced across for this one. Nice quick find after a little bushbash. Huge fall. Very spectacular. Cache in good nick. TFTC
Managed not to fall in the creek! Very well hidden and very creative! Thanks for the cache an old hag!
I came by one evening not long ago
But have up a fruitless search as I lost light, back again today, I had an idea, a little step over and I was in the right spot, thankfully no rain recently meant for an easy scramble. Tftc.

Waited with Ms Maddy while Mr LHE DUO & OrionJ grabbed this one. Balancing is not a strong point of mine. Enjoyed the visit to this area of bush. TFTC
Much debate about what side of the creek the cache would be on. Mr Garmin (mine) showed it on this side. We arrived at the, er, crossing with LHE Duo and OrionJ.
Given my recent incapacity (shattered elbow now with bionic metal plate), an executive decision was made that Mrs LHE Duo and I would stay on this side Some mumbling about fishing me out of the creek with more broken bones.
The cavalry scooted across the, um, facility and were back in quick time
TFTC, liking my stroll along here today

Daytime cache, hint was not helpful, we were stumped until we logged it. Took the TB N signed the log. Thanks ftc..... 2 of 31. Eaten alive by mosquito's and nearly face planted again. Have to start earlier next time.
Another nice walk through the bush. Love the path previous cachers have left behind. Geodad found this one and required some grip strength to retrieve it. TFTC!
Definitely made the wrong choice on this one, on a very wet and slippery day. Got half way across the log with sure footed strides only to have my next step feel like walking on wet soap. My nerves deserted me, so the rest of the way was crossed on hands and knees. My GPS was tramolpining all over the place so my search covered quite a bit of ground - I definitely don't want to meet whatever lives under that log!! I stopped to gather my thoughts and soon spied a spot of colour leading to the cache. Definitely worked for this one. Tftc.
Although this was not my next closest this was the one that I headed towards next, knowing that I could grab the one in between on the way back to the car.
I was not sure exactly on the best approach but made my choice and was happy with the outcome, even though there was much pushing through wet undergrowth, i picked my way to GZ. It was quite a straight forward find.
On the return journey I attempted the second option of approach, however looked to be more difficult so returned the way in which I came.

I choose the hardest way to get there which is seeming to be the way I do things. After ditching my backpack and brolly, I teetered my way across the river. After deciding that the cache must be underneath, I begun a slippery climb down the bank. This climb quickly became a slide and I ended up in the muddy water. After a good hunt, and another soggy climb I had the cache. Well, shoes wet but spirits not dampened I'm off to find another nearby!
Well I'm not a baby but scratched up and bleeding oh well all in for all I found it I past it maybe 3times my phone didn't like the tree cover and pointed each side of the creek each time I crossed but I had to use my caching mind and bingo thanks old hag TFTC TNLN
We're not sure which is the hard way to access this cache either but we did wind our way here and there through some bush and grass, but we didn't come from across the log. Located the cache fairly quickly but accessing the log took a little longer as the cache was very firmly in it's spot. A very nice hide that is well secured. Thanks for the cache An Old Hag. This is another in this bush that we've enjoyed, although we're not sure we've been on the same path as we should have been. But, never mind, a cache find is a cache find no matter. TNLNSL.
Attacked this cache from both sides, but not feeling very adventurous so didn't explore very far. Better luck next time!
Eight months in Australia means a lot of geocaches! All these caches really showed me nice spots all around the country. Thank you for this one & greetings from Germany
