Away for the June Long Weekend with TheWhiteDogGang. We based ourselves at Orroroo and travelled far and wide over 4 days. We managed 1,500 kms during our travels. We managed to find some really old caches, one from 2001, and even managed to get all 9 terrain ratings. Not bad for 2 old farts with no coordination. The weather was dry if not cold on occasions.A good way to spend 4 days.I've been here before for a miss. Today the cache was found in a logical place that's about 10m from GZ.TFTC
A LWE away caching w Team WaldronToured the mid north and surroundsSome great caches foundFixed a few as wellCoords about 12 metres off TFTC
While staying in Jamestown we headed west towards Stone Hut and Telowie Gorge before visiting Wirrabara and then enjoying lunch in Laura.
Many thanks for the hide Homer&Lisa
Many thanks for the hide Homer&Lisa
Today we did a tourist drive around the area, exploring new roads and places, finding a cache a town, walking to places which all easily filled in the day. So happy to have found this and all good here. TFTC
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. Another very chilly morning had us rugged up well.We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.
Out in another chilly day with rain ️ threatening. Ranging a bit further afield from Port Pirie with iluvtrekking exploring the surrounds. Loving these back country roads - our type of caching. Thanks for the hide.
On the ninth day of Christmas... went caching with Froghoppin.
Just one Frog, 'cos 9 frogs a leapin' wouldn't fit in the car
Off we went to the north today, and found a few things, great views, adventurous tracks, wild animals, and of course... your cache!
It's dark, and where's the Stobie ??? Oh... up there
A quick scramble had the cache signed off!
Our thanks to Homer&Lisa for placing this cache on the SA geomap

Hunting around every day finding and signing using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Whereyougo, Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck Quite a lot of that actually!!!
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK of course.*
---
Please do stay as safe as possible when caching.
Keep a lookout for bogs, snakes, surprise cliffs, boxing roos, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs from alpha to omega !!! . [xx(]
Try to keep Travel Bugs as the only bugs you share and pass on
Now our borders are open - even more important to sanitise and safely distance!!!
Much appreciation of all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
in sensible safe places especially! - it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Found on my last geocaching drive from Murray Town Before leaving for Port Augusta. Found what was let of the cache. I would normally try to fix caches but I didn't have a spare log on me. TFTC.
TFTC SL Found while exploring the Laura area. Container and log not in good condition. Found page that I could sign.
Found with Loopy1972 while scouting for FTFs. Log book needs replacing, and container falling apart. TFTC.
Found in the company of Freddo, e.gregory1, Team Waldron, occasional cacher out of retirement SteadyOn and muggle friend Tony on our way back home from an awesome trip to the Simpson Desert, staying at Coober Pedy, then camping out at Dalhousie Springs, three nights in the Simpson Desert, Birdsville, Clayton Bore and Aroona Valley. Thanks for the cache Homer&Lisa!
Found as part of an extended trip with FeatherWaite, Freddo, Team Waldron and a couple of non-caching friend that saw us travel from Adelaide to Coober Pedy, through the Painted Desert to Oodnadatta, then on to Dalhousie and Mount Dare, before crossing the Simpson Desert to Birdsville and then back down to Adelaide via Marree and the Flinders Ranges.
We had pretty good weather, with moderately warm days and cool nights, but plenty of flies!
It was great to be able to find some remote caches in some really interesting and scenic locations.
Thanks Homer&Lisa for the cache.

8600 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1255. Time for a wander towards the north for a look see. Several caches found and unless mentioned are in good order and condition. Lid missing from container and log book damp. .SL Tnx Homer&Lisa
So after a great weekend of fun, frivolity and food in Quorn we packed up camp and headed back home to Adelaide. We took the scenic route and found 33 caches on our way plus adding 5 new dnfs to our tally.
It was quite overcast but we didn't get wet so that was a bonus. It was nice to see some of these small country towns although we were quite underwhelmed by the Golden North factory at Laura we had been expecting something much grander and a nice ice cream cafe! We had a nice packed lunch at Wirrabra and finally arrived home at 6pm in time to cook a roast supper.
Thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Quorn another part of the state we would like to explore further.
We weren't really sure what the point of this one was but once we had found somewhere safe to stop I headed up the steep bank to make the find. TFTC Homer&Lisa

36/55 for today - my best day so far. Day 6 of an 8 Day road trip through SA.
Whyalla to Iron Knob through to Renmark. Stopping whenever I felt like it, wherever I felt like it, if there was a cache nearby anyway.
I drove past a lot but didn't have time to get them all!
Coords were out by 11m, but not too many places to search here. Signed and replaced.
Thanks

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches.
So far I’ve knocked off 4 of the states. VIC, SA, NSW and A.C.T
No two areas are the same here and almost every place I go is stunning. The beauty of caching is that it takes you to so many places you would never usually find.
Thank you to all the cachers out there for hiding and maintaining their caches. Especially to those who put so much effort into creating unique and fun hides.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

Hi there Homer&Lisa.
We found your cache **"Stoby"** at 12:46:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 15946).
We cached between Gladstone, Appila and Wirrabara today. On our trek we found a wide variety of container types. & ended up finding 20 caches with 2 DNF's.
Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 15m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Sunday drive cache trip, cache and container in good condition. Bit of a short scamble up hill, and an olive tree with fruit too TFTC 17th of 17 for the day
Lots of walking and climbing today near Mt Remarkable, and on our return, this was no exception. TFTC
Time to leave Wirrabara and head home after a fantastic JLWE
After a lovely pie from Old Ev's Wirrabara Bakehouse for breakfast[^], muggle partner, Brodie and I headed out and grabbed 6 caches around town while we waited for the tent to dry off enough to pack it.
Then a new cache was published, so the trailer was unhooked from Harry and Brodie and I ducked out to find that game day leftover tea party which gave us FTF after publishing
Back to packing and then, on our way home, we scored a FTF on Clyde, a cache hidden on a very cool piece of artwork at Kapunda
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
What's the hardest way to a cache[?] The shortest route
So that wasn't the route taken, just to make getting to the cache easier
I've always spelled the name 'stobie' so you had me fooled for a few minutes until I saw where the GPSr was pointing

We have come to Wirrabara for the JLW2016 event. After the event we travelled over to Port Perie to blast the car clean and on the way over and back picked up a couple of caches.
There is some lovely countryside to visit in these parts and we also enjoyed a beverage and eats at as local establishment. Thank you to the hiders of these caches.

The JLWE is over for another year and we are wandering our way to places unknown. It is now time to pick up some of the nearby caches.
We are still with Speedmistress, this is our second last day as she is returning to Queensland by a twisty windy road. In other words whichever way appeals.
When we arrived close to GZ we soon saw what was needed to be done to find this cache. Job done. It is in need of a new container as the lid has broken away from the container and the container has been squashed by the item concealing it.

Day twenty one of my across the Nullarbor, then to Perth via Denmark trip. Unfortunately I was now on my way back home after a great couple of weeks getting to Perth, I guess it had to happen at some point. I am now really close to the end, but not before attend the June Long Weekend events in Wirrabara.
I decided to spent the day in Melrose and surrounds. On the way back now. So, thats what a Stoby is

After hiding a cache for the JLWE event a little further north, this cache appeared on the radar.
Seascout78 stopped the car and the three of us ran up the little slope and signed the log.
No prizes for guessing where the cache was hidden..

Not quite where the GPS said it was going to be, but given its name it was a fairly simple find. Cheers. MODU.
Found while on a tour of the country side collecting caches and seeing how the playing field will look for the JLWE. Parked back a bit making the walk a little further but better than attacking the slope head on. Came across some old farming plow blades. GZ was a little off but glad it was as the name suggests. Found while touring the area with family checking out the area ready for the JLWE. TFTC

Currently returning to Vic from WA in company with Geobet&tor. With thanks for the cache from Angus the great GeoWestie and his Carer who are grey (and white) nomads in our tenth year on the road.
TFTC. TFTC. Tor and Betsy, the travelling Westies roaming WA at present. We are from Oxenford near the Gold Coast in Queensland and thoroughly enjoying the West.
I had thongs on, Mr Beetle had shoes on, so there was no arguing about who was going up there to get this one. Thanks, a quick find.
Another great find while in the area on holiday today.
Thanks for setting up this cache.
Soon had the container found and log signed.

Seeing the location of GZ from afar was straightforward and we soon had a way of getting to GZ although the long grass was a little surprising. However we much preferred wading through thr grass at this stage of the year rather than when it gets warmer. Accurate coordinates and the hint led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache Homer&Lisa.

An Easy find by The Noodler, although my GPS was telling me it was 8m away. T.F.T.C.
Touring Australia having left Perth in late February we are leisurely touring South Australia.
We were heading out to do some local exploring when we read our emails and noticed a request from a local to help out placing some new caches. hmmm what have we got onboard. [^]
Into the dungeon we went and pulled out some caches to camo. So hunting was now on the backburner and painting and glueing were priorities.
Finally it was lunchtime before we set out to see what we could muster.
A quick driveby here.
