Took a trip up to Springbrook to celebrate the road being open again and there just happened to be a few uncollected smileys on the way.
Stopped by this one on the way home. 38 degrees but looked for quite a while for no joy. Used hint but could not locate anything like it. We don't feel too bad if RoddyC couldn't find it last month.
Thanks for bringing us here. We drove up to the "clubhouse" as there was a new sign on the road about open for coffee but way too hot even for a beer. The old barn looks like it has weathered the last 50 years better than me! I first came here in 1966 to watch the boomerang throwing exhibitions and the owner's 12 year old son used to perform a Magic show and I bought a boomerang that I still have. I last came here in 1989 with my old boss and Rob King drove us around the hills in his old white Range Rover, showing us his proposed layout for the golf course.

Out Springbrook way today looking for some caches. Your cache, Aussie Liahona, is one of them, but we came away empty handed on January 25, 2019.
Cache replaced. So sorry I missed noticing it needed attention. I don’t know how that happened.
Cheers and happy caching!

So sorry - I don't know how I've overlooked this one.
My apologies for any inconvenience. Replacement will happen this week unless the reviewer beats me and it gets archived. It's on my mind and on my list.

this cache has a great location but has been offline for almost a year. We searched the area with no success.
We found the area (BeZe83 and I) but wondered if this one was washed out in the March 2017 floods? The area looks heavily damaged. Maybe the owner could check and put it back if missing.
At and about in this beautiful picturesque part of the Gold Coast with geo friends picking up a few caches along the way. This was my first visit to the area even though I have lived on the Northern end for over 25 years, I had never ventured down this way before. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the neat hide
Venturing around the hills behind the Gold Coast with geobuddies. A lovely cool spot to start off the morning and it was a quick find. We also checked out the creek as well. Thanks AL.
What a lovely little tucked away spot, never knew there was a golf course here, will have to investigate and have a game soon. TFTC
Nice little green and cool space. Spotted some fairy dust. Great hint. QEF with HennyGeo. On holidays in hot and sunny Australia from Vancouver Island Canada . TFTC.
I wasnt very sure where the GPS was taking me and even less idea where to park. In the end being in the way of teo vehicles spurned me into action so i had a nice drive through the golf course before i felt it safe to turn around and try to get where i needed to be.
Deciding on a parking spot wasnt to tricky in the end and before i knew it i was following the blue arrow to find some treasure. And find it i did, after poking more than a few spots hesitantly.
Cheers for the cache aussie liahona!

Nicely hidden cache, in good condition. It's certainly a nice spot out here, I enjoyed checking out the grounds of the golf course.
Nicely hidden. The newby I'm with was in charge of finding this one and he did well! very happy when he located it. Thanks
Read top road instead of top row :3 blonde moment there. Thats what you get when two blondes geocaching:) but nice spot. Muggles everywhere
The Boomers bounded in, located the cache and bounded off again in search of more caches on our afternoon outing. TFTC and a favourite for the name.☺
Watch Out! the Southern Boomers will be comeing in a few days time to share this pasture with the locals!!
Again our GPS decided not to take part in our geocaching hunt, so Mr Petalani went it alone & amazingly found it unaided. Log signed, swaps exchanged & GC re-hid in it's hide. TFTC!
Geopartner parked up the top and I made my way down to GZ.
Nicely placed area and entrance.
Quickly found the cache and signed the log.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks Aussie Liahona All good with this cache

Out for a nice drive today in the country with the Geo Wife grabbing some smiles as we go (as you do lol). Beautiful area out here, untouched paradise. Thank you for bringing us here. Tftc
Out with dee_80 and team Rekrah.

My mom and I rented a car for today to explore the gold coast as well the hinterland. Quick find at GZ. TFTC
Was at a downhill MTB event today - at the golf course! - watching the geoson race. How handy to have a geocache for me to find for the day! A little walk up and down, and with the clue, it took a little for me to realise what it meant. It soon made sense where it was going to be. A nice container and clean and dry log. TFTC Aussie Liahona!
After a 4 day conference last week, geohubby arrived on GC and it is time to have a holiday. He gets a bit frustrated in traffic, so it's out to the countryside today for some caching. Had to go south to attend some business, then further south for some finds interstate, now diverted off the freeway and out west for some more.
This is no 22 of 22 for the day.
Cache found easily. TFTC SL

Got approached by an old man saying we were on his land and were asked to leave. We were on the eastern side of the bridge.
I only had one car pass me as I was walking towards GZ. The driver was imaptient to get to his golf game I think as he honked his horn in his flashy Mercedes 4WD as he zoomed by way too fast.
Not wanting to be lurking in an odd spot for too long I checked the hint on the way to GZ. A nice quick find with that info

Very interesting area ,just shows you have to go off the main roads to make discoveries.TFTC.
Had an opportunity to get out today with my 2yo boy Riley and grab around 20 finds. Was happy with the day, finding new caches and some older ones I had been to before, but not been able to find. Got them all this time. Thanks to all cache owners for hiding and maintaining their caches.

Glad to get to this one today. Had been to the area before, but too many muggles then to make a find. Today, very quiet, and able to make a quick find. Grabbed the pathtag too. TFTC.

So many muggles driving in and out of here today that it was a quick run up to the GZ after parking just inside of the gates. When we were there the clue helped as did Anth's posing for 'photos' while the muggles drove by. Thanks Aussie Liahona, for placing the 478th cache we've found so far!
Stopped by today to check on this cache. It was still in place but getting a little grubby so I replaced the container and left a clean new one there.
Sad to see the swinging bridge looking a bit worse for wear. It must have suffered in the flooding.
Happy caching...........

This was our first cache for today but unfortunately, after looking and looking, we could not find the container. TH4!
I was heading to Purlingbrook with a friend to go for a hike down to the falls. This was the first experience of geocaching for my friend... she was so good at it that she found the cache within seconds of reaching the GZ! Not a bad start to her geo-career. TFTC.
Found on our trip to the Gold Coast for a wedding. The wedding we had to attend already occurred, but today there was another wedding occurring here near GZ. Weird place to have one actually. So it was hard to find a parking spot. We managed to get one 30m away from GZ. A quick find at GZ, but it was covered in ants and the log was wet. Interesting place. TNLNSL. TFTC AL (again)!
Oh this sure brought back some happy memories. Ms M and I played one of our most fun rounds of golf here many years ago. On the scoring card it states that there is a two shot penalty if you hit a kangaroo. A tough local rule as the roos were out lazing on quite a few fairways. I don't know how we missed them and they weren't interested in moving when we walked by. At one stage Ms M hit her ball near the edge of a pond while I sliced mine into the bush. So as I went off into the bush to look for my ball, Ms M pulled out her telescopic ball retriever and started fishing for balls in the pond. Quite some time later I reappeared with a my cap absolutely full of balls while Ms M had found four herself. Both happiness filled with our hunting and gathering. Our luggage was a little heavier when we returned to NZ on this trip too
TFTC and the memories. A favourite tick from us.

Geo Wife and I had the best part of a whole day free today so I checked the map and thought that Springbrook Rd was a nice area we hadn't attacked yet.
This one was an interesting drive with having to give way to oncoming traffic and the water crossing.
I let Geo Wife out at a spot near GZ and headed over to the Golf Course to have a bit of a look while she searched for the cache solo.
That club house is something else you just have to see it!
I rang Geo Wife when I thought she would be finished and she has just found it and was drying out the contents of the cache so I did a little more exploring before heading back across to pick her up.
A kind muggle had stopped to see if she was ok and she was able to assure him that all was fine and I was on the way back but we're sure he was thinking this is strange and what is she doing but I am sure the cache was not compromised.
Thanks AL for bringing us to this interesting spot. TFTC SL TNLN

Managed to find this one without being seen by traffic coming in and out of the golf course. Thanks for the cache Aussie Liahona!
Mates and I have talked about coming down here for a game of golf. I drove over the creek around to the carpark and back again just to have a look around. What a cool looking club house. Parked up and wandered down to the creek. The bridge is falling apart, Doh, I was looking forward to crossing it too.
Used the hint as the Gps wouldn't settle down but still had to dig for it. Contents is a bit damp but log still signable.
Thanks Aussie Liahona great spot

Visiting from Newcastle, staying with my brother in Nerang, found with him (frayeromm), TFTC Aussie Liahona!!
Went for a drive into the golf course to look at the interesting pro shop and club house. I remember visiting this area when i was a kid on a school holiday camp bus trip. Didn't really ever know where I went so it was interesting to see it now. Found the cache after a bit off a search. There has been a lot of water flowing here and the cache was very muddy on the outside but fine on the inside. TFTC Aussie Liahona
Took a bit of effort here to want to look a bit harder as it is still very wet and muddy, however cache inside is nice and dry.

Being Good Friday it was a quiet day to go caching and we were unmolested by muggles, although evidence suggested there were some playing a round or two.
At first we thought the cache may have been the victim of recent flooding, there was a lot of flood debris on the bank, but Team Robbin's log proved it had been found recently. While having another think about the clue Mr Petan saw something that suggested that X marked the spot but while that proved to be false it gave us some further ideas on where to look and low and behold X did lead us to Z - GZ.
Mrs Petan remembers coming here when it was a boomerang farm, when the entrance fee included a plastic boomerang that allegedly would come back although she was never able to achieve that feet.
Thanks for the cache.

Very hard to look discrete while searching for cache here. Cache still cosy and dry. TFTC
This was a lovely spot as we set off on our drive into the Hinterland. It was nice and shady and cool as we signed the log. Thanks for the cache.
New Years Eve, last chance to log a cache for 2012
Cache was found quite easily. We decided to go ahead to explore the area. The club house is a sight to behold, it must be the uniquest one I've see. Certainly worth the look.
Thanks Aussie Liahona

Arrived at this one and was wondering what sort of terrain course this might be?? Normally these sorts of places are on pretty much flat ground, but here is anything but!! Might be worth an explore at some point.
Found the cache though quite easily and in good condition.
Thanks AL.

Nice quick grab. Busy road, but dealt with accordingly TFTC - Found with JJBoards.
This was a great little spot but stealth was defiantly required. TFTC Found with the Hair Bear
Found cache safe and well then went on to check out the golf course. How unique. Thanks Aussie Liahona
Hummers, not boomers! A stretched pink hummer turned into Boomerang Rd behind us, delivering a wedding party, as other traffic flowed in and out of the very interesting golf club (yes, we drove in for a peek and really can recommend a look!). Led astray by the hint temporarily, we had to avoid muggles while we searched, but once found, it made perfect sense. That bridge looks awfully fun . TFTC, Aussie Liahona. =^.^=
Here's a hint: Don't do this cache in the dark of night. As you approach the gates, a really bright light comes on and makes you run away.
