Visiting South East Queensland for a week from Port Macquarie. This morning we ventured out towards Springbrook before returning in the early afternoon to do a spot of caching around Robina and then raced over to Currumbin just in time for the afternoon Lorikeet feeding. Was surprised to see a car parked here with no one around, nice to find this one quickly after a dnf back down the road. Thanks for the cache
Greetings from Ireland!I was actually born in Darwin but moved to Ireland at the age of 3 - now at the age of 40 I am making my first return visit which lasts for 5 weeks. The final part of my trip involved a road trip from Sydney to Brisbane (driving over 5 days with a different place to stay each night). This was one of the many caches I found on that 5 day part of the trip. Tftc!
A lovely day spent around this area with Kolour and chamad, we collected this cache while on our adventures.
A quick find here at gz.
Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache.

Willis007, chamad and I were down this way for a target Wherigo cache and this one was nearby. Quick find - first find of the year. Tftc
After this morning’s walk, Willis007, Kolour and myself continued on and did a few caches around the area, this was one of them.
We were all feeling the effects of our long morning walk so a park and grab was a nice change. Why is it that a good idea has to be removed, this area could do with some bins again.
Thanks for the nice hiding spot. We signed the log and replaced as found and then continued on with the days caching.

Today, I joined a few friends with an early hike to Pages Pinnacle. We departed from Neranwood Park to take the steep ascent, and then had an adventurous climb along the razorback before getting treated to great views at that local summit. Following the walk, I took a drive along Mount Nimmel Road, and then walked up further fire tracks whilst finding the *Austin Powers* series. Mudgeeraba Creek rock pool certainly appeared to be enticing to make a dip, as there were a few people about.
It was then a drive along/through Upper Mudgeeraba, and then along a few scenic routes that traversed Advancetown Lake / Hinze Dam. I did pop into Hinze Dam and completed the [Hinze Dam Walk](https://labs.geocaching.com/goto/92f34238-e46a-4fb5-8b34-2d6c632e5b83
) Adventure Lab. A few final stops were made in Mount Nathan, before heading home for the day.
I made a stop here whilst driving along this road, and it was a quick find of the geocache. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. As mentioned in the description, no CITO drop-off here, but it does appear to be a good location for a strategic sign that now warns everyone of the closed road ahead. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Pretty proud of myself on this one. Had the map but my signal died at GZ so had no description, hint or activity log. Still found it in the second place I looked
No signal so had to work a bit harder for this one ... until I thought about it a bit more, and then it was easy
Another day of working on the roads in the area found me once again located conveniently near a cache. This was today's find and with a subtle parking of the car on my lunch break, I soon had the log signed and replaced as found. TFTC
Having climbed a hill to find the Austin Powers Series I'm heading towards Mt Nimmel collecting caches along the way...
This was a nice quick park'n'grab... as previously mentioned the o-ring is gone allowing moisture into the cache, but the waterproof paper is doing it's job nicely... tftc...

We remember coming here to see the houses....were urban legends back in the day....haunted....woooooo. Everything changes. Tftc
On our way down to the coast after completing Pages Pinnacle this morning.
This was almost a drive-in.
Aggressive black ant at GZ, hopefully, they will move on soon.
Thank you for the cache

Tijdens bezoek aan Springbrook NP deze cache gezocht en gevonden.

Cache is still in place. Perhaps we could archive this one. There used to be a real purpose for this location with the area between the road and the track having large rubbish containers. These were removed and now the area has no purpose unless you are to stop to sign a logbook on a geocache. Checked it today and found that ants had built a nest amongst the greenery climbing there so we removed that and it's now more visible and less inducive to ant nest building. So for now it's still here.
Cheers and happy caching!

Had a nice walk over the old bridge and avoided the grass but no joy for us today.
Needed the hint as the gos took us into the grass to nowhere ... found the cache ... hidden away . Thanks . Didn’t sign as no pen today
We had a drive down the recently opened road and stopped here to find this one on the way. Can understand why it was closed for so long.

Such any enjoyable cache to find was my very first was not easy but then came clear to me
We decided to look at a few caches in our area that have not been found of late. Cannot understand how infrequent these caches are visited.
We loved the two storey house and the old stone cottage and had Bar B Qs and kids outings at Little Nerang Dam picnic area in the 1980's and 90's!
There seemed only one possible location at GZ and cache quickly found and signed. TFTC

Loving this drive through the country, great to hear the story of why this cache was placed here, so many changes. TFTC
At and about in this beautiful picturesque part of the Gold Coast with geo friends picking up a few caches along the way. This was my first visit to the area even though I have lived on the Northern end for over 25 years, I had never ventured down this way before. Thanks Aussie Liahona for the good hide
Visited this cache today and found it in good order.
Happy caching.............
Happy caching.............
Stopped in to Polly's for some scones after doing some walks at Springbrook. Up this way for the weekend with 5 good friends for our 40th birthdays.
Gps bounced but found it at the end. 300th cache. Thanks.

Nice day out with Geo hubby. Thanks for the quick find. Found a cute little tree frog as well.
Visited and placed a new log.
This location has changed so much. There used to be large CITO bins close and there was also a two story home being suffocated by climbing vines. It was demolished. But there was still a really beautiful old stone cottage with a beautiful rock built landscape garden and a cute little arched bridge. Of that only the little bridge remains. Now all that really brings you here is the smilie. Nevermind!

At last, out lucky 100th cache!! We're stoked! Thanks for the cache!! Signed & put back in its spot (on a side note, so sad to see the nearby rock house has been demolished, that was a small part of Springbrook history).
A quick find on our afternoon drive through the windy mountain roads. TFTC
Out caching this morning with my sister and niece (TeamBiffo). All of us hadn't been to Springbrook for many years and we decided this was the best time of year to go there. Left early to try and miss the tourist rush (glad we did as parking at some spots was nearly full!). Had loaded caches on hand GPS and car GPS and proceeded to leave hand GPS at home - not very often I cache with phone but we survived.
We thought a muggle car was parked right beside GZ but thought thought wrong because GPS told us it was not there - followed GPS and cache was soon found. TFTC.

Out dropping kids for a walk and had a look could locate the item I would suspect it would be attached to but nothing attached...
Revision to my DNF... Went back to get a photo of the missing cache and thought let me dig around the vines and grass and felling like a crow finding something shiny, I found the cache container.
So cache is back in place and attached, after adding the required ink to the log book.
Do so wish I was out walking to day but today, running support vehicle for kids training hike.

Out for a nice drive today in the country with the Geo Wife grabbing some smiles as we go (as you do lol). Beautiful area out here, untouched paradise. Thank you for bringing us here. Tftc
Remember this old "haunted" house from a long time ago! Just past it and cache in hand quick smart. TFTC!
TFTCSL interesting cottage nearby - wonder what tales it could tell? Caching with Berken
Up from Melbourne to find caches with Robgold. Enjoying the drive up. Had to take a photo of the house. TFTH
The story that goes with this house (or at least the house that used to be here) is quite interesting and kinda sad. I've come here that many times and never knew about the cache here lol tftc
A trip to the Mudgeeraba spice windmill was on the cards for us today and after filling up with goodies we headed down the road toward Springbrook.
We found the cache on the floor but placed it back carefully, what we were intrigued by was the old house that was demolished behind it (always meant to try and have alook) and of course the stone cottage.
Now this one we did go and look at. Drove over the little stone bridge and went into the house, took nothing but photographs. A little hard to get around but hopefully I will have gotten some good photos. TFTC

No longer a rubbish drop point as of 1st July 2014 but still a great spot for a cache as we saw a stone house and surrounds next door. it was really interesting and seems to be deserted.
