Half of Meggaritys Creek was inside the cache container (drained it as best we could). OCW Brewmaker. TFTC The Booos
A scramble downhill then looked uphill to find a very soggy cache by the creek. Emptied the water but log is unsignable. TFTC
Last of the Megarritys! Sadly I never got to 1 and 4 before they were archived, but I found 3 this afternoon too.
I'm sure there's a nicer way in but I parked on the closest road. Heading slightly east I found a good path down with not too much rubbish. Lovely spot at the bottom of the slope, and standing there it didn't take long to cast my eye up the slope and see something not quite right.
And that brings to a close a very successful geocaching day. I attempted 9 caches, found 8 and mostly quite enjoyed it, and the one that got away I'm 99.99% sure is completely gone. Plus I did all of the other tasks I had to, and put in some quality listening time in the car.

Good hide little bit of a hike but nice scenery, there is a pen inside but does not work TFTC
What a gorgeous little creek! Shame about the rubbish up around the top Terrain rating is pretty spot on, but worth the hike down. Thanks for bring us here The Booos!
Found with geofriends. A few of us had a few trips on the way down but we did it! TFTC
I DNF’d this a few years ago but coming back today, didn’t remember the location.
Walked in along the fire trail off Warradale Road before a bit of a bush bash.
Once at GZ it was a pretty quick find.

We returned in a vain attempt to rectify a DNF. We now have a new etrex, which is a hell of a lot more accurate than the old one. We followed the arrow down to the creek. The distance counted down to zero metres. Then we saw the cache peeking out from its hidey hole. On our previous visits, with the old etrex, we were nowhere near this spot. We were elated. TFTC
A quick find after getting the right GZ . Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Headed west today to explore around Warragamba and learn its history, after a visit to the dam itself we stopped here.
Spotted a path directly from the car to GZ......down, down, down
The light was failing fast here but PDG used the phone torch to highlight this one

Out today for a day’s caching with marj01, no bush bashing, just park and grab. After heading off pre-dawn from the eastern suburbs we visited the towns of Wallacia, Warragamba, Narellan, The Oaks and Nattai. Lots of caches were found; on the ground, dangling in trees, on signs, in stumps and even one in a haunted house. Whilst most of the caches were familiar we did strike some very ingenious ones. A large percentage of the finds were quick, however, there were some that had us scratching our heads for a while. All in all, it was a very enjoyable day out and I would like to thank all the CO's of the caches for hiding and maintaining the caches that we visited. And yes, I did read the reason/history for each cache in the lead up to the trip.
Out cache with oldmorty on a big day. This one of many caches we found along our travels. Thanks to all the cache owners for maintaining their caches
Took a while, read logs to help

Out caching with ziggiau on this beautiful Boxing Day. We made the area around Warragamba dam unsafe and had a great time! All the best for 2018 for all the COs!
Going down, down, down, down..... ziggiau found it of course. TFTC!

We had a plan to find the caches along the creek but this one seemed to be easier to grab by starting from the nearby road. The buzz of trail bikes filled the area so we were sure to keep our eyes open and not get run over. Heading down towards the GZ we had a pretty good lock on the location but couldn't find anything initially so spread out. It wasn't until I stood in the dry creek bed and looked back up that I saw the container, tucked away nicely, but still quite obvious amongst its surrounds. It's all about perspective. Thanks The Booos.
#1327 this proved to be rather difficult cache to find for me. Went the direct route & when I got close realised it was a fair way down to GZ. So back the way to try to find where the start of the fire trail was eventually worked out where I needed to be. However I then started looking for other caches on the way each time finding a gully between where I was & where the GPSr said I needed to be. So in the end kept closing in on where this was. So down I went to the creek & crossed over a couple of times till I spotted a likely spot & then the cache was in hand. Signed the log and replaced as found. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache The Booos

#1328 Ninth of ten quick finds on an afternoon out and about around the Dam. TFTC
My sixth of six finds this morning. After parking close to the corner I walked back and surveyed the direction to GZ. Initially not liking the look of the drop down to the creek but close to the corner spied a trail that looked promising. Taking it steady so as not to slip on the grade I found my self close to GZ.
A short search and I soon had cache in hand. Replaced as found after signing the log. tftc
Now to tackle the hill climb back to the car..

Enjoyed a day of geocaching with Ausfeet, the nephew and the Aussie Greythounds.
After breakfast we decided to make our way up to Warragamba Dam, have lunch, grab a couple caches then head home. As all geocaching days go, plenty of detours on the way.
#13 of 14 finds today
Was initially going to end on 12 caches for the day, but plans don't normally happen.
These last 2 caches were the classic accidental caches. We turned into a wrong road and figured oh well, gotta go find em now that we're here. Started with this cache, and while Ausfeet wasn't keen on a bush bash, I practically jumped down the hill to bush bash and hopefully find a trail. Ended up getting to the river and then following the GPS. Cache in good condition, was expecting wetness. After signing and replacing I saw the track and followed it back up.

#3126 (7 of 12 today) (Streak day 400)
So finally the streak hits 400! I'm not planning on keeping it going much longer - and the new challenge cache guidelines limit streak caches to 365 (I do wonder why not 366 to include the occasional leap year).
To celebrate I thought I'd grab a good swag of finds, and then I remembered I still needed to "Catch Them All"!
So headed out west, with #9 on my mind - and grabbing the respawned #3 as well.
Got 12 out of 13 - including a previous DNF. I'll take that.
Then ran into another cacher at my final three finds.
Top day.
###END OF CUT AND PASTE SECTION###
After parking near, then not finding *The Dam Production* I walked to this one.
Of course I took the wrong way to GZ and added an extra terrain star in the process.
Got to GZ and immediately spotted a likely hide - CIH!
Well, that was unexpected. But this time the iPhone was playing nice. I must admit, it would be easy to miss as the camo is nice and subtle.
Completed signing duties - like *#1* the log slightly damp but otherwise OK - then replaced.
Found the easier way out - obvious once you've found it, then back for a second (unsuccessful) go at *Production*.

Found with Lance91 and the Aussie Greythounds 27/4/2016 after the event nearby. Was lovely to meet cachers from the south west and thankyou for being welcoming to us coastie gatecrashers
Got ya. The rubbish at the start of this is not good, if they cld hold to there rubbish until council clean up days the bushland cld take a big deep breathe. Better for and us.
Looked everywhere along the creek and nearby, except for the correct spot of course.
I logged this guy last night but somehow it did not go through so I will start again. I like others went down to the cache the hard way and then found the rough path back to the top and car.
No matter where you cache in the bush these days people are just dumping their rubbish and are to lousy to take it to a tip.
I think councils are partly to blame as well owning to the charges.
Good sized container but the log is damp but you can still write on it.

Nice one. Love caches in the bush. We seemed to take a rocky trek down through a passageway of distruction then found the actual track once we got down, for an easy trek back up the hill. Nice hiding spot. Would not have found without good coords. Thanks!
After a few month this cache was very well camouflaged! Felt pretty lucky to find it!
On the Way to Warragamba dam, we also stopped here.
We found this nice cache.
Thank you for showing us the spot.

Didn't take the easier route as usual...but found this great hide! Tftc BD xo
Eagle eye name rings true spotting it from 12m away, just a corner showing. Admittedly I walked past the GZ to look at something too obvious to be a hide lol soon I turned around and spotted it... TFTC awesome creek series!!
A quick trip down the hill and Salem uttered the words that annoy me some times. Oh well at least we found it!? Lol tftc

Found during a run around the area today with The Rats, steeba and Big Matt (also loosely known as The Gangsters).
This was a bit of a last hoorah for the group before The Rats and family head off on a lap around the continent and another terrific day of caching.
After a bit of a scramble down to the creek we soon had this one in hand.
Thanks Booo'sDad for the cache.

[Blue]Our 8501st overall find.
Found on a Lower Mountains / Western Sydney caching run with FarmerFrentzen, steeba and The Rats. Two of our crew had found this one so they waited in the car while FF and I ran down and made a find. It was a quick trot back up to the car that made me realise how unfit I am.

What a trek! Trudged all the way through the bush with the geokid only to find there was a semi path near the GZ... A definite adventure TFTC
Nice little bush bash with gpskyp and isolation. Found it under a good natural camo (almost too good !)
This cache took a little time to find as the GPS was dancing around. A nice spot of bush. Pity about all the rubbish at the start.
Went down the wrong path to start with and then turned around to find the cachers trail towards GZ. As we were passing the other rubbish that had been dumped along the trail we heard a roo hop away on the other side of the creek! Quickly made it to GZ and then found the cache easily. Quick sign of the log and it was back to the car. TFTC.
We drove the 4WD down the track, and stopped just above the cache.
The map in the GPS had the cache on this side of the (very tiny) creek, but it was actually found on the other side.

Heading up to the Windosr invasion with Tankengine, Albida and Sol De lune from Canberra, signed logs with "Mast" or a sticker to save space.
Great to find all these caches enroute
Interesting collection of old merry go-rounds and other forgotten fun far equipment nearby.. and a bit of a junk yard down the track to the cache too.. but thankfully a easy find after the down hill but up hill back to the car now.

Found with Mtrax, Albida and Tankengine as we headed towards Windsor for the weekend. (Some logs were signed as M.A.S.T - Mtrax, Albida, Sol de Lune, Tankengine - to save space....)
Oh, down there......was happy with the dry ground though and the cache was found easy enough, so all was good.
Thanks for another cache on our run north......

Bit of a scramble for this one! Found on our Windsor Invasion weekend with Mtrax, Albida33 and Sol de lune!
We had stickers for many of the finds, but where the log was too small, we signed it as MAST (Mtrax, Albida33, Sol de lune, Tankengine). Had a great weekend, well up until the Sunday, when the rain set in! Thanks again BD.

Somebody tried to push a barbie down the track!! Obviously he didn't succeed, but it made the terrain rating a bit more difficult today.

After a dnf at dam power I wasnt leaving this spot without a cache. I walked around searching until founded. Searched both sides but found on the first side I searched. There is a old bbq just up from the cache. Silly what people throw in the bush TFTC Booo'sDad
Interesting location, with Mother Nature reclaiming her own beside the southern track. Found after a tad bush bash with All Strung Out. TFTC
Gps was all over the place, up down, around got it via the southern entry. TFTC!
The GPS was understandably jumping around so I searched and poked around in quite a few places but obviously not the right one.
This was a nice hide in a quiet location with gnomesngizmo on a caching raid or Warragamba, SL-TFTF
1145, GAFF1, We had a false start to this cache trying to approach from the wrong side. Once we found the fire trail we followed close then proceeded to GZ by foot.
We closed in on GZ and waited for the GPSr's to settle down. We soon spotted the cache close by.
SL, cache in good condition.

Looked for this about six months ago. The GPS was jumping all over the place and all my long searches failed. Today I came back via the shorter path from the north and walked straight to it! Cannot believe I missed it the first time. TFTC
Missed this on the first pass, then went far and wide, decided to trust the GPS and from a different angle the goods turned up.
I had first planned to start from a different street, but the cache description said otherwise, so I obeyed them. I'm glad I did, it seems a lot easier than the way I was gonna go. The cache was found quickly, nice spot. Took TB. Cache needs a pen/pencil. TFTC
Fading light by this time but I managed to find the well hidden cache and get back up the hill without incident. Thanks.
Out with Hoojar and The Rats on a late afternoon run through the area.
A short walk down towards this one and the cache was soon in hand. Thanks!

Took a trip out to Warragamba today to find the handful of caches that had been published since my last visit to the area. This was the first of the day.
I was with bikerbuddy who had previously found this one, he suggested a good place to park & to enter the bush. I found a track to follow which looked promising at first, even though bikerbuddy thought I should head a different way. Should have listened to him, the track kept getting further away from GZ & I eventually abandoned it & had to bush bash more than I really needed to.
Cache was quickly found at GZ, log signed & a few trackables left. We then returned to the car by the much easier route (that would be the one that bikerbuddy had initially suggested).
Thanks Booo'sDad, nice to chat to you guys this morning

Out for the afternoon with pjmpjm for a quiet cache hunt, with promises of an easy drive by we found that it was anything but in the light rain.
This turned out to be a rather difficult find, at least for pjmpjm, I stood on the sideline and watched the fun!
After some trouble with the GPSr he switched over to the phone app and found this quite workable and he made the find after walking past it a few time, persistence pays off yet again.
Thanks for the (non micro!) cache.

Another find by rogerw3 and myself while on an afternoon geocaching expedition around the Warragamba area.
For some reason, I had trouble with my usual Oregon 300 and thought it had the coordinates wrong. Turned out that the Oregon was pointing to Megarrity's Creek #1, more than 400 metres distant. But I found this out only a bit later . . .
So I set off with my iPhone and its GC app, and this cache became -- after quite a struggle through some steep and soggy terrain -- my first ever find using only the iPhone. I was quite impressed, in fact, after nearly two years of assuming that mobile phone apps were always rather inaccurate.
The cache was hidden in a likely place but, for some reason, I just kept walking by it. In the end, sheer persistence paid off, I guess.
All was in good order. TNLNSL.
Many thanks to Booo'sDad.
