Mr Tardis was out for an adventure motorbike ride through the quiet back roads north of Orroroo. I found this one after a short search. The sistema has holes in it and needs a new container. Unfortunately I didn't have a spare one with me.Some magnificent views around here!Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Tk2.
Full time Nomads since March 2014.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Staying in Orroroo for a few days. Today we headed up towards Carrieton and surrounds. On arrival in Carrieton we got a message from our Geobuddies Iluvtrekking and richlink that they were only 15k's away themselves heading down from Hawker. Great to stop and chat to them but boy it was freezing at 9degrees and sadly it was too early for the pub to be open. So we grabbed a couple of caches with them before they continued South and we went off to explore.
Turned out we came across an old cache from 2001 and also did a marvellous 4x4 track for a 1/5 cache. Views were a bit cloudy but still amazing fun.
A great day out and about.

Heading toward home after spending the weekend exploring the Flinders .Usually we head North-South (or reverse) past this area, so the caches out here get missed [B)]. Well, today it was time to head West through a bit of country we haven't explored before .An interesting bit of rock here and we were fortunate enough to pick the right level straight up [8]. TNLNSL. Unfortunately, the container is broken and needs to be replaced .Thanks again Tk2.
Stayed at horseshoe top end for the long weekend and grabbed a few caches.
Great weather all weekend, 22 during day and no wind.

Thanks for the great cache with an amazing view! (P.s pen in cache broken so bring own writing tool)
Dropped in today and spent some time at Harry’s place. A beautiful spot on this planet of ours. TFTC
This was a great adventure. What a beautiful part of the world this is. Lots of kangaroos and rock wallabies around. We really didn't think we would find this one because there were so many places to look. We committed the cardinal sin of Geocaching and found the cache, got back home, and realised that we hadn't actually signed the log! Luckily we took a photo of the cache for evidence and we will send this to the owner. Favourite for us. Also left a TB. TFTC
We had a great weekend staying near here. On our way home we stopped here and went for a short wander. The cache was found in its hiding place. The container is still in reasonable condition, just getting brittle. Great views from here
A reasonably quick find, despite the myriad of places it could have been hidden. The container is going brittle, and has a small hole in one corner of the lid. I doubt it'll get water in it though, due to the covered location it's hidden in.
Thanks Tk2.
Thanks Tk2.
Getting late in our day, so couldn't chase the tower cache today... so we'll be back!
But couldn't resist this one. Over thought it and went for the view from the top first.
Then tried a different approach and had the cache sorted in no time
Only finding caches at an acceptable social distance,
With the help of Sebastbat often driving, and Jack just hangin' around.
And our good friends soap, water, and alcohol...
Stay away from smelly humans

Out for a Sunday drive This is a great spot, being a "old" rockclimber spied some nice easy climbs on this Cach right where id start a couple fun climbs. Might have to bring the shoes and harness back some time! TFTC
Nice drive on this track, and some nice personal history. The rock face is really fascinating and no doubt is climbed often. Enjoyable view over the station. Tftc
Found whilst in the area for a 4wd trip at Horseshoe Top End

Found with e.gregory1 as we traveled around Hawker, Cradock, Carrieton, Hammond and Bruce, finding great caches in isolated and interesting places along the way, all during the June Long Weekend Event. Thanks for the cache Tk2!
Found with FeatherWaite while in the area to attend the Quorn June Long Weekend events.

Quick find while waiting for the rest of the convoy to catch up, then onto Horseshoe Rim.
Found It!
Another little place I've never visited before. After a lot of searching at the wrong elevation, I went down to the bottom and soon found the cache!

What a speccy place, a bit of exercise too. I enjoyed this one, one of my favourites. Thanks Tk2
Staying in Wilmington for a few day and today we decided to drive some of these great back roads. We had a great day and saw some amazing scenery and even though the countryside was dry the colours were amazing. [^]
Walked towards GZ and were not quite sure where we had to go...up it seems.
Found the cache then rued the fact that we had both left our cameras in the car as the view from GZ was great. Must remember that there will always be photo opportunities and take the phone. [?]

Took us a while with people at the top and the bottom. If you read the logs first you'll know where to look. TFTC
After climbing around the top for probably an hour... following the iPhones geocompass, we were about to give up as the sun was beginning to set. Luckily we had one more attempt from the bottom before we left, and found it with ease.
Lovely view, and took some great sunset photos from the top.

Cache found in the last place we looked, which was as usual not the first place we looked. No need to climb to the top. Just look for the missing tooth.

Found with BluebeardOZ on a lovely sunny but windy morning. We climbed to the top of the rocky outcrop and the view is well worth the effort. TN, Left a blue butterfly as we saw lots of small blue butterflies/moths in the area. Took the Taz Devil TB.
After a great weekend of 4WD with friends, found this cache on the way home with Manny is OM. Enjoyed a climb and views while looking. A fun find. TFTC
Found with the Barramundi and some muggle friends - plenty of people looking so someone had to find it! Dropped of the Taz Devil TB.
Out Caching with Gasamalu and some Muggle friends, the muggle found it.
Camped in the nearby Horseshoe Ranges with our 4X4 Club HR4WD.

Found just before turning into the gate to stay at the Wilderness Cabin owned by Ben and Susan Carn. We had a fantastic weekend, the cabin is lovely - really remote, private and in a gorgeous setting. Ben and Susan and another guest were staying at Harry's Place one night so we called in for a chat around the campfire. Would thoroughly recommend staying in the cabin - but not if you can't live without TV, 240V electricity, DVD Players, phones etc etc. Great to get back to the old fashioned basics to be enjoyed in life - campfires, reading books, bushwalking, viewing birds and wildlife around the dam, 4WDing. Drove the track up to the top of Mt Stokes - now that is STEEP! Had lunch on the summit with 360 degree views.
This is a great cache location, but sat-loc is quite dodgy against rocks - tends to bounce around. As this is in such a remote location, and people have to drive quite a way to get here, we just feel that a hint would not go astray as it would be a great pity for people to come all the way out here and get a DNF. Other finders have expressed difficulty also.
Thanks Tk2.

[?] Nearly Gave up, having travelled to cache location, we was not leaving with a DNF, Geo teen resting in the shade, discovered the well concealed cache. We looked down low and HIGH for the cache. The 650t got Coordinates at S 32° 25.080 E 138° 22.586, this might help the next Cacher. Then reflected on the Historical Value of the Cache Placement. Great Work TK2, What a Grand Place to Live. Magnificent Rock Formations, What a World. Gets a Favorite point from us. TFTHSL RIP Harry

Found with Seerr. What a great hide. We searched for an hour climbing up and over but in the end it was right were we started. I did get a bit carried away reliving a bit of my childhood when we used to come up here for bbq's and us kids would climb all over these rocks. Definitely a favorite TFTC!!
This one took about an hour to find. With the GPS bouncing all over the place we came at it from all sides to finally pinpoint the GZ. Mr Cliff if I had an overbite that size I'd go and see a dentist. TFTC, love the ones that take a little grunt to find. Had fun concealing the cache again as well, my GeoMan got that sorted.
It took me a while to locate. Rock cliffs do throw the gps's around a little bit. Well placed. And a first.
