Out for another day of caching adventures with carmlee1 We've had lots of fun solving this series, so now to get out and find the little suckers
Completed the puzzles recently and at the mention of this to doddlingalong our next adventure destination was sorted. Thanks for the puzzles and TFTC
Solved these some time ago and stopped to grab a few on our way past today. This one didnt take to long to find although the hint was maybe for someone much taller than me TFTC
I wasn't sure if I solved this correctly so had my calculated coordinates and had a look if I was right while in the area today. Success! Will start working on the others when I get back home! TFTC
TFTC! 15 January 2023 5:36:45 pm 4642
Had most of these solved for a while, and the remaining few solved in the car this morning. A quick find today. Hoping to finish picking up the rest of the series.
Enjoyed the puzzles. Out for an excursion with Daisy Runner to locate some. One down. TFTC
We were heading over to Phillip Island to ensure we were there for the start of the Great Victoria Cache Crawl. We caught the ferry from Queenscliff and had laid ourselves a cache trail to follow around to Phillip Island.
The weather was great for caching as the sun was out and the wind was merely a gentle breeze.
We have had the Jack Speak series solved for quite some time and today we had the time to find quite a few of them. We suspect they were designed to be found heading in the Southward direction, but we were able to find a safe park for all of them as we headed roughly Northward.
We found the cache safe and sound, Thank you -Lisette- for this cache and to pimpmyballoons for adopting and maintaining this series. A favorite point for the series.

Found with Bogonghazy who has previously solved them. Cold day but always time to cache. Thanks for placing the geocache
Out and about with jaamc3335 our mission is the finish the series today, we are in track. Thanks for placing this series
Find # 10866
Found with sharkiefan.
The task for today was to tackle the Jack Speak series and a few around the area.
Despite the morning drizzle we still managed to make the Jack Speak finds along the road. Even with a DNF we still managed to work out the final.
Then when the rain passed and the sun was out we done more exploring and finding quite a few "Welcome to..." cache at each town we passed coming back up.
Throwen in was a couple other puzzles we had solved.
A fun day had over on the Mornington Peninsula with a total of 45 smileys for the trip.

Jack Speak Day.
We had planned this trip a while ago and had the puzzles solved even longer ago.
Depsite the wet weather and gloomy looking day, we decided to head out and have a crack, prepared to give it up if it became too miserable.
Pleasantly we ended up with some beautiful if not windy weather and had a great time out this end of the state.

It's the 12th of the month and time to go caching... Why? Because I have (foolishly) taken on **400 Challenge....with a twist** which requires you to find 400 caches on your choice of a particular day of the month... and the 12th is my choice as that day had a big head start over all the others. My plan for the day was to finish the **Jack Speak** series so I was headed for the Mornington Peninsula.
After three successful stops along the way for other caches I was, at last, at the start of my targets for the day... the first half of the **Jack Speak** series. This one needed a bit more exercise that usual as I missed a suitable parking spot and ended up past the next cache in the series. Nothing wrong with a bit of exercise though.
Thanks **pimpmyballoons** for keeping this cache and the whole **Jack Speak** series going.

Woot woot, first cache of the day on Good Friday making it Good Cacheday for me. TFTC and fun word hunt.
We solved these puzzles some time ago and finally managed to find time to come down to this area to find the caches. Apologies for some generic logs. Most of these caches were found reasonably quickly. Thanks to -Lisette-/pimpmyballoons for the cache.
Given myself the challenge of trying to complete this series. Sometimes the names would appear in the puzzle within seconds, sometimes it took 20 minutes to find it. Have solved them all and now it’s the task of getting out to find each of them. Will have to return to the few I found in the past to collect possible clues I may have missed.
They’re not really my kind of caches and many of the locations are awkward and inconvenient to get to, but I suppose it is what it is. I’m not always going to enjoy myself while out caching, but you got to do what you’ve got to do. If you put your mind to something and commit to doing it properly, you’ll most likely reap the rewards and appreciate what you put in in the long run.
My thanks to the previous CO and the current CO for placing and maintaining these.

Septe, ber 2021 Cache was still in original position I inherited it in however it was not in a stable location and slightly off co-ords. It has now been repositioned closer to correct co-ords and to suit hint. All good to go!

Looked around for 10 mins and couldn’t find it. Looking at previous logs I don’t think it’s here : (
After Lockdown 5.0, much needed caching was needed and what better way to do it by going out with my caching buddy Jetsons23. We had solved the Jack Speak series a year ago and it has taken us this long to finally find the time to go out and collect them. With the kids at school, we set off for our adventure. The sun even came out for us.
After finding a good parking spot, a short walk to GZ. We must have looked around for at least 15 mins, checking what we thought was everywhere. I resorted to a PAF to try and help us out but that proved fruitless. Judging by the previous logs this one should have been an easy find. Not so for us today.
Thank you for the cache and series Lisette and pimpmyballoons for adopting it to keep it going

Quick easy find about 5m off gz. Logbook very wet. Hopefully there’s no clue on this one because if there is, it cannot be read…
After visiting a friend nearby I decided to grab some caches including the jack speak trail which I had solved long ago.
The log is mouldy and wet and as per the previous logs is not quite where the hint says it is anymore. Needs some attention.
Thanks -Lisette- for the cache.

Why am I surprised? Accurate co-ords help! Not sure all this naval lingo will help me in the mountains, but this series was a confidence booster to puzzle solving capacity which is close to very average. Really enjoyed the research and the big ticks. Nice day out before the BIG winter LOW looms in on us. TFTC
Another Mornington Peninsula caching run today to pick up the first half of the Jack Speak series and then a few other odd caches here and there towards the end.
I'd solved the puzzles about a month ago, finally taking a closer look and realising they weren't as scary as they seemed, progressing through the series in spare time over about two days - nice and relaxing puzzles to solve that I enjoyed sitting and working out.
Overcast weather today with the occasional drizzle and lots of adventuring resulted in me becoming rather damp, streaked with mud and bitten by mozzies by our return home!
Thanks to -Lisette- for placing this series and maintaining it through the years.
First one down for the day, but perhaps the most difficult for us to find.
Referred to past logs to get an idea of its current hiding style and had a hunt about the area (with flailing limbs due to the sheer amount of mozzies) only to find it right in front of my eyes!
Everything is hidden in accordance with previous logs' descriptions at the moment.
Signed the log and returned as found, may want a slight alteration either on the virtual or physical end to make sure that the cache page reflects the cache itself.
Thanks for hiding this cache!

Found this one after a bit of a search .. my GPS was jumping around the place .. and there were lots of geotrails going nowhere in particular .. I finally gave up and used the satellite photo .. from there I spotted the real geotrail which led me to the prize .. I have now finished the series and collected the clues .. I just need to put it all together and come back and collect the final .. Getting close to finishing the series now .. found this one after a bit of a search. Thanks Lisette for placing the cache and the series
30 min search with help, read previous logs also. The GPS put us all over the place. I hope the CO will check on this one soon.
Out with my geo son today doing our first geo trail together. We had finished interesting puzzles learning about all the navel terms a while ago and was just waiting for a full day to pick them up. Great day starting with the sun just rising and finishing off as it was setting, Discovering this area was an added bonus. Picked up this along the way. Thanks for the series Lisette we really enjoyed our bison day.
Out Caching with XAMBO4U for a Mother Son adventure day. Time to knock out this series!
#15954. Heading to Portsea for a few days but detouring down the left side of the Peninsula so I can gather up the Jack Speak Series that I have wanted to do for so long. Also picked up a couple of "Welcome To" caches along the way. Two DNFs and a lot of caches without clues did not help me to get the final - which will have to wait for another visit, maybe!
Not off to a good start with the horizontal branch now broken and lying on the ground. Fortunately, Rob spied the cable tie. It is now about knee-height on one of the other fallen branches.
Thanks -Lisette-

It was leafotwind's idea to see if we could knock off the Jack Speak series (which he'd done the virtual hard yards on), and maybe turn the outing into a 50+ day. I provided the vehicle as he's, er, between cars at the moment, and despite the weather not quite cooperating, we achieved our goal, and some.
Only one DNF, which is pretty darn good considering my usual blindness to one particular kind of hide which happened to predominate this afternoon.
-Lisette-, thanks for a fun trail of caches.

I had solved the series some time ago and had always intended to try and combine it with a couple of the shorter series' put out by other cachers to achieve a tally of 50 for the day. I thought some company might be in order both to add to the fun as well as provide a separate set of eyes. Nirgalagrin answered the call and a good thing too! He dialled in a little earlier than I and a number of those bisons might have taken a lot longer without him!
We did end up hitting 50 for the day and amongst those found the only 5/1 trad in the whole of Victoria by happenstance!
Thanks to all the COs who placed these caches for everyone to enjoy and indeed in the case of the Jack Speak series have maintained them for all these years.

I was staying in Balnarring this time last year and discovered this series. Here again this year and am on a mission to try and finish it. This took me a while. Reading a log i saw that it was not as it should be and i found it lying on the ground. Co should check on this one.
Crustyvarmint and I decided to attempt this series after completing the puzzles but after doing about 10 of them we thought it might be advisable to go back to the ones we had already completed to check for clues. Oh well a newbie mistake I know but I was having a bad day.
Saying that most of these caches were reasonably easy to find (some more difficult) but well set up puzzles, a joy to complete and informative. Great series. TFTC.

I went out today with Bunadoorian. We had each solved the puzzles to locate GZ, then shared the hunt. It was an enjoyable trip and we gathered the information for the final, but somehow it didn't work. More time required to complete the task. Thanks very much for the series Lisette. Please accept the generic response for our finds today.
Found this one by following the well trodden geotrail. Found where the the hint suggested, however it was a little lower than l figured it would be. Cache found, log signed and returned. Thanks for the series -Lisette- really appreciate the work and effort with the upkeep for this series. Very well enjoyed.
After the hectic festive season, I needed a day to escape from my busy life and do this series with beckNmonts. I really enjoyed exploring this area. -Lisette- Thanks you so much for the fun series.
Pwala and I decided it was about time we found these caches. We had solved the puzzles about a month ago, but today was the day we were both finally free. I was skipper for the day and Pwala the main finder. We managed to only have one DNF for the series, and had a great afternoon! Thanks so much for placing this series -Lisette-
Cache was very damp, left in sun to dry for a couple of hours before replacing. First find of this series. TYFC
Log is sopping wet and moldy.
It's been lying on the ground and without an O ring again.
This needs attention.
We just managed to write on the log.
The whole tree is on the ground.
We left the bison a bit more obvious for the next catchers as it's on the ground.

Staying in Cape Schank for a couple of days with sassieold55, and hoping we can put some smileys on this series again today. Not sure whether we will swing by to try and find the cache we drove past or manage the final tomorrow. We had a great time doing the series and thanks for placing them Lisette a fav point

What to do when you’ve got two weeks holidays solve a few puzzles that’s what. Out this way picking up the solved puzzles. I wasn’t holding out much hope of finding this one with it being so dark. I must have just shone the torch at the right angle. A great series and a great day out. I will be back to find the others another time.

really enjoyed solving all the series back in NZ. so just great to collect them all in my travels thx.
I have finally decided to have a go at my first mystery series and what better one to start with than this one! Nice and easy, I got the hang of the puzzle without issues and since I was able to find the caches I guess I worked them out all right lol. I parked right along side and could see it from the car so nice and easy! TFTC!
Much easier than the last one! Shows that the difficulty ratings can be ambigious at times
Thanks Lisette!
Thanks Lisette!
After spending yesterday doing domestic chores around home, we sat and worked together to solve this series after dinner.
With +Wife doing the first part and me finishing each one off, it only took until 2am!
This afternoon we drove down here with our GeoMutts, EveTheStaffy and MaxTheCollie.
We picked up two letterboxes and a total of twenty in this series.
We also found a great fish and chip shop.
Thanks for the series -Lisette-
We will return to complete the course.

It was a lovely afternoon for a drive. The Geomutts are always impressed when their day includes sitting in the back seat, watching the world whiz by. Barking at other mutts and checking out the sights, sounds and smells in new areas.
Today had all of that, and more. Fish and chips in the park. Many finds and not a single dnf for us.
We started at "Letters to Dad", continued on through this series and finished our day at "Letters to Mum".
Thank you for placing this cache for us and others to solve and find -Lisette-

For some reason my original notes on this cache had it on the other side of the road, so never stopped for it on our first attempt of the series.
Today while in the area I realised my notes were in the other car. Recalculating the answer, it was a short drive and a quick find.
Thanks for the cache -Lisette-

Found 17/6/17. My 2nd of Jack speak series, I'm getting the feeling I need to dedicate an evening to knocking these ones off. TFTC
Walmont was wanting to get started on the Jack Speak series so I tagged along. Can't wait to try more. TFTC
First attempt at a 'Jack Speak' which proved successful. Will have to try some more. Finding a parking spot was a challenge. Tftc
Geo daughter solved a bunch of these about 2 years ago. I lost the numbers but managed to get them again. Today plan to find a few. . Tftc
An interesting puzzle series that I enjoyed solving. I got started on looking for them pretty late this evening, and ended up looking for most of them in the dark. As a result there were a few that I didn't find that are most likely there. Cheers and TFTC
Time to solve some puzzles and start on this series. Worked out the coords and set off this morning. Coords were spot on and the cache spotted without problem. Log signed and back safe again.
Solved the puzzles for this series in the week and thought I better get out there and put the smiley faces on the map. Went off on a tangent initially trying to solve these but the co soon recalibrate my head. Hopefully these will put me in good stead to get me to my 4000 find this Easter break. Thanks for the fun, rfrc
I solved these a while back and was looking for a pleasant day where the road was not so busy. Today was not that day! Too many cars, haha this may be a drive for the early morning. TFTC

Over the summer weeks I have been utilising the extra daylight to do a weekly morning caching run down the peninsula before heading to work. As we push on into autumn (and before the hour changes) I notice the sunrise getting gradually later and my daylight opportunity lessening. This was my second find of nine caches this morning that I was able to grab on a well planned route. I had found most of this series ages a ago (December 2015) and solved the puzzles before that. I do recall a few being tricky to locate and so I was pleased to spot this one quickly. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Lisette.

Today I woke up knowing that i had to head in to Hastings to go and do some shopping so I decided to pick up a handful of caches after I had finished all the chores I had to do. Since this cache was nearby and I managed to still have some time up my sleeve after finding the nearby letterboxes I knew I could quick get another couple finds. Anyways this cache was a relatively quick find with little to no trouble in finding the cache, thanks for the cache I really appreciate all the work that all the cache owners do to go out and put out the caches.

Out caching with TamikaM1997. Got to this one and got completely sidetracked by the beautiful flowers. By the time I turned around geodaughter had found the cache. TFTC
Jack has spoken. I have had these on the Astro radar for a while. Great to explore and also catch with AstroThomas who is working in the waters near by. met some interesting people and tasted some good local food and sipped some local beers as I explored over a few days here.
Thanks to -Lisette- and *clear skies* from TeamAstro. Cache the planet!

Out and about with Geo pals , Happy Pants,Morcs4,QueenK8 Promontory and (._o) on this great Melbourne Saturday to smash some caches and to celebrate QueenK8's and my Birthday. And to get QueenK8's 1000th cache. Awesome series and a fun puzzle to work out.
Thanks heaps to the Co for your awesome effort on this series.

The long-planned birthday cache run finally arrived! Having discovered that Omegaman1971 and I were born only two days apart, we agreed to go caching to celebrate our almost-joint birthday. Omegaman invited a few geocaching friends along, and we soon had a couple of cars full. After birthday cake and presents in Hastings, we piled into cars and started out on the Jack Speak series. We had planned this trip months earlier, and had long since solved the puzzles. We picked up a few other caches along the way to add to our collection of smiley birthday faces In the end, I did find my 1000th cache; it was nice to do it with such a great group of geocaching friends!
Thank you to everyone who placed and maintains caches in the region. I look forward to completing more of them when I move down to the Peninsula next year...

Okay...we have finally got to the Jack Speak series with 6 cache teams. We all worked on the series prior to arrival and moved though them progressively, making quick finds in most cases, although there were a couple of tricky ones. Also learn a lot about naval expressions. In most cases, this will be a generic post. Thanks -Lisette-. Great work.
Out with the Birthday Team (Morcs4, QueenK8, Promontory, Omegaman1971 and Happypants) to celebrate two birthdays. Thanks for the cache.
Might as well start from the beginning, funny that... found with a group of other keen cachers heading along the series this afternoon. The cache was soon located and it was great to start this series as it has been on my to do list for a while now. TFTC -Lisette-

Today gwd.aussie and I targeted this series of caches and enjoyed exploring the area. It was well into the afternoon when we started but in most cases we had the cache quickly to hand.
Thanks Lisette for setting up this enjoyable series.

Find number 1 for the series which Kelly and OHC sat up all night (well 2am) to solve. See our log on GZ29P5 for the full adventure...TFTC...
We started the Jack Speak series with this end of the line. The logistics of doing the series this way looked more favorable. So off we launched.
Suscoe had a delightful day out on the Peninsular today.
It was mostly sunny with a cool breeze and some rain came in late in the day
How lucky were we.
Saw some beautiful countryside and enjoyed a fantastic range of caches.
Thanks to -Lisette- for this nice puzzle.
Enjoyed our wander and enjoyed the puzzle.

A pleasant Easter Saturday drive to collect some more of the Jack Speak series. My husband is doing the driving while I jump in and out of the car.
Three hours ago my husband said that we could do a few caches and leave the rest for another day. He is enjoying listening to the football on the radio so we have continued along the road. After signing this one all that was left was to workout the co-ords and visit the final cache.
Thanks for the series.

After picking up our new beast in Melbourne (Landcruiser) we headed over to Hastings in the company of DAB to conquer the "Jack Speak" series on this lovely sunny day. With perfect conditions for caching we started up one end and worked our way down to the last puzzle, collecting the clues as we went, enjoying the views from some of the vantage points. The new 4x4 didn't miss a beat , coping with the stop starting as we worked our way through the series making for a fun day. We unfortunately did not get all the clues for the final, but there will be another trip on another day where we can finalise this Naval slang series giving us an excuse to come back to this lovely area.
**Thanks -Lisette- for the fun puzzles and an awesome series.**
A favourite for the series.

Another combined effort for a caching trip, today it was The_Tritonz and myself. Our plan was to grab the " Jack Speak " series of caches. It was very interesting learning all of these Jack Speak terms. Thankfully the puzzles weren't too hard either, they were all a pleasure to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, collecting the caches. There were plenty of laughs, mainly at Chris's expense. We were spoilt with the scenery and the gorgeous weather. Unfortunately we didn't find all of the clues and we missed out on the final. We will return for the missing clues and claim the final !! Thanks for filling in our day. TFTC -Lisette-
GeoRo11's hawk eyes quickly found this one. Found in the company of GeoJulz, surefoot 25 and benjess11. This was the first of this series found while out doing some birthday caching. Log book is very full. Sorry we weren't carrying replacements today. TFTC
