Nearly got collected by a bicycle here, whizzing past without warning. Survived to find a cache, thanks.
Solved these some time ago and stopped to grab a few on our way past today. I went round in circles looking for this one while hubby watch on. After what seemed like forever I was about to give up when he decided to help and found it pretty quickly. I hate it when that happens. TFTC
When I saw this series I knew I had to give it a go. Found with Zombie850. TFTC
We were heading over to Phillip Island to ensure we were there for the start of the Great Victoria Cache Crawl. We caught the ferry from Queenscliff and had laid ourselves a cache trail to follow around to Phillip Island.
The weather was great for caching as the sun was out and the wind was merely a gentle breeze.
We have had the Jack Speak series solved for quite some time and today we had the time to find quite a few of them. We suspect they were designed to be found heading in the Southward direction, but we were able to find a safe park for all of them as we headed roughly Northward.
We found the cache safe and sound, Thank you -Lisette- for this cache and to pimpmyballoons for adopting and maintaining this series.

Out and about on a beautiful winters day with jaamc3335 our mission to Finnish this series, thanks for placing this cache
Find # 10867
Found with sharkiefan.
The task for today was to tackle the Jack Speak series and a few around the area.
Despite the morning drizzle we still managed to make the Jack Speak finds along the road. Even with a DNF we still managed to work out the final.
Then when the rain passed and the sun was out we done more exploring and finding quite a few "Welcome to..." cache at each town we passed coming back up.
Throwen in was a couple other puzzles we had solved.
A fun day had over on the Mornington Peninsula with a total of 45 smileys for the trip.

Jack Speak Day.
We had planned this trip a while ago and had the puzzles solved even longer ago.
Depsite the wet weather and gloomy looking day, we decided to head out and have a crack, prepared to give it up if it became too miserable.
Pleasantly we ended up with some beautiful if not windy weather and had a great time out this end of the state.

It's the 12th of the month and time to go caching... Why? Because I have (foolishly) taken on **400 Challenge....with a twist** which requires you to find 400 caches on your choice of a particular day of the month... and the 12th is my choice as that day had a big head start over all the others. My plan for the day was to finish the **Jack Speak** series and so here I was on the Mornington Peninsula.
After three successful stops along the way for other caches I had finally started with my targets for the day... the first half of the **Jack Speak** series. This one was my second for the day... a nice easy find.
Thanks **pimpmyballoons** for keeping this cache and the whole **Jack Speak** series going.

We solved this puzzle sometime ago we thought we would head out late this afternoon to find some caches. TFTC
We solved these puzzles some time ago and finally managed to find time to come down to this area to find the caches. Apologies for some generic logs. Most of these caches were found reasonably quickly. Thanks to -Lisette-/pimpmyballoons for the cache.
Given myself the challenge of trying to complete this series. Sometimes the names would appear in the puzzle within seconds, sometimes it took 20 minutes to find it. Have solved them all and now it’s the task of getting out to find each of them. Will have to return to the few I found in the past to collect possible clues I may have missed.
They’re not really my kind of caches and many of the locations are awkward and inconvenient to get to, but I suppose it is what it is. I’m not always going to enjoy myself while out caching, but you got to do what you’ve got to do. If you put your mind to something and commit to doing it properly, you’ll most likely reap the rewards and appreciate what you put in in the long run.
My thanks to the previous CO and the current CO for placing and maintaining these.

Finally out of lockdown and busting for some caching, oshfam and I teamed up to collect this series. We had solved the puzzles a while back but not had the opportunity to get out to get them. Nice sunny day, still a bite of cold in the air we set off on our adventure. This one was found reasonably quickly, with the sound of cars wizzing by we signed the log and got back in the car.
After Lockdown 5.0, much needed caching was needed and what better way to do it by going out with my caching buddy Jetsons23. We had solved the Jack Speak series a year ago and it has taken us this long to finally find the time to go out and collect them. With the kids at school, we set off for our adventure. The sun even came out for us.
Arriving at what we thought was close to the GZ, we actually thought the bench was no longer there until we walked a little further and there it was. A quick find was made.
The cache and log was in good condition.
Thank you for the cache and series Lisette and pimpmyballoons for adopting it to keep it going

After visiting a friend nearby I decided to grab some caches including the jack speak trail which I had solved long ago.
Nice easy find and log is in good shape.

Was worried this cache wasn’t going to be here as there was a branch that had fallen over luckily the branch wasn’t the one with the cache. Found it tucked away perfectly.

Why am I surprised? Accurate co-ords help! Not sure all this naval lingo will help me in the mountains, but this series was a confidence booster to puzzle solving capacity which is close to very average. Really enjoyed the research and the big ticks. Nice day out before the BIG winter LOW looms in on us. TFTC
Another Mornington Peninsula caching run today to pick up the first half of the Jack Speak series and then a few other odd caches here and there towards the end.
I'd solved the puzzles about a month ago, finally taking a closer look and realising they weren't as scary as they seemed, progressing through the series in spare time over about two days - nice and relaxing puzzles to solve that I enjoyed sitting and working out.
Overcast weather today with the occasional drizzle and lots of adventuring resulted in me becoming rather damp, streaked with mud and bitten by mozzies by our return home!
Thanks to -Lisette- for placing this series and maintaining it through the years.
Fortunately, this one was a lot quicker to find than the first for today thanks to the hint and a good search!
Mozzies seemed to have followed me from the last cache, but got in and signed the log before they became too much of an issue.
Thanks for placing this cache!

I am gradually chipping away at the Jack Speak series .. this one was pretty quick to find .. thanks Lisette for placing the cache .. only a couple more to finish the series
Out today tonight to do a few caches in the hope of finishing the museum event. Unfortunately the rain and a few dnf’s made this a lot harder than it should have been. Thankfully as time went on the traffic became lighter and hunting became easier. Thanks for the series.
Thanks -Lisette- for the cache.

Out with my geo son today doing our first geo trail together. We had finished interesting puzzles learning about all the navel terms a while ago and was just waiting for a full day to pick them up. Great day starting with the sun just rising and finishing off as it was setting, Discovering this area was an added bonus. Picked up this along the way. Thanks for the series Lisette we really enjoyed our bison day.
Out Caching with XAMBO4U for a Mother Son adventure day. Time to knock out this series!
#15955. Heading to Portsea for a few days but detouring down the left side of the Peninsula so I can gather up the Jack Speak Series that I have wanted to do for so long. Also picked up a couple of "Welcome To" caches along the way. Two DNFs and a lot of caches without clues did not help me to get the final - which will have to wait for another visit, maybe!
A nice sized bison and this colour can be hard to spy.
Thanks -Lisette-

It was leafotwind's idea to see if we could knock off the Jack Speak series (which he'd done the virtual hard yards on), and maybe turn the outing into a 50+ day. I provided the vehicle as he's, er, between cars at the moment, and despite the weather not quite cooperating, we achieved our goal, and some.
Only one DNF, which is pretty darn good considering my usual blindness to one particular kind of hide which happened to predominate this afternoon.
-Lisette-, thanks for a fun trail of caches.

I had solved the series some time ago and had always intended to try and combine it with a couple of the shorter series' put out by other cachers to achieve a tally of 50 for the day. I thought some company might be in order both to add to the fun as well as provide a separate set of eyes. Nirgalagrin answered the call and a good thing too! He dialled in a little earlier than I and a number of those bisons might have taken a lot longer without him!
We did end up hitting 50 for the day and amongst those found the only 5/1 trad in the whole of Victoria by happenstance!
Thanks to all the COs who placed these caches for everyone to enjoy and indeed in the case of the Jack Speak series have maintained them for all these years.

I was staying in Balnarring this time last year and discovered this series. Here again this year and am on a mission to try and finish it. Nice easy find tftc
It was very nice to be able to avenge the only DNF Pwala and I had on this series. Thank you for maintaining the series -Lisette-, I really appreciate it!
Crustyvarmint and I decided to attempt this series after completing the puzzles but after doing about 10 of them we thought it might be advisable to go back to the ones we had already completed to check for clues. Oh well a newbie mistake I know but I was having a bad day.
Saying that most of these caches were reasonably easy to find (some more difficult) but well set up puzzles, a joy to complete and informative. Great series. TFTC.

I went out today with Bunadoorian. We had each solved the puzzles to locate GZ, then shared the hunt. It was an enjoyable trip and we gathered the information for the final, but somehow it didn't work. More time required to complete the task. Thanks very much for the series Lisette. Please accept the generic response for our finds today.
After the hectic festive season, I needed a day to escape from my busy life and do this series with beckNmonts. I really enjoyed exploring this area.
Unfortunately, DNF here for us!
-Lisette- Thanks you so much for the fun series.

Found the lid of the cache, and the log laying on the ground. Case of cache nowhere to be found.
Hid as best we could in a place that will hopefully keep the log dry.
Our second find in this series.

Staying in Cape Schank for a couple of days with sassieold55, and hoping we can put some smileys on this series again today. We had no luck here, we were hoping our torches might show us a glint in the dark Tftc
Getting too dark now so couldn’t find so will attempt rest next weekend.. it’s been fun
Snuck out last night for a bit of a drive for 4hrs. Left home straight to Hastings, took an hour, then crept my way down towards Flinders picking up a few more of the Jack Speak series and a couple of others on the way through. Not quite finished the series but have enough info to take a stab at the final co-ords. Next time. Thanks for the fun. TFTC Lisette
Headed out this morning with MazzyMay to find a few in the area. It was nice to wipe this previous DNF off the list. TFTC
This one took a bit longer than I was expecting since for some reason I just could not find which branch I was looking for and on top of that there were bees everywhere and even worse were the mozzies! I think I got absolutely eaten while searching for it! So after searching for a good 10 mins all of a sudden I just saw it! And after I found it I just have no idea how I couldn't see the silly thing lol it stuck out like a sore thumb! TFTC!
Difficult cache to spot, think it deserves at least 1/2 more star of difficulty! Despite the good hint it is one of those hides that just take you ages to find! Eventually landed my sights on the right branch and there it was.
I was so excited I stepped back and straight into the deep puddle infront of the seat that I had been purposely avoiding for the past 5-10 mins
That really dampened my spirits as the water came up to my ankle and I had to take my shoe and sock off.
Well lucky I was about to finish for the day!

After spending yesterday doing domestic chores around home, we sat and worked together to solve this series after dinner.
With +Wife doing the first part and me finishing each one off, it only took until 2am!
This afternoon we drove down here with our GeoMutts, EveTheStaffy and MaxTheCollie.
We picked up two letterboxes and a total of twenty in this series.
We also found a great fish and chip shop.
Thanks for the series -Lisette-
We will return to complete the course.

It was a lovely afternoon for a drive. The Geomutts are always impressed when their day includes sitting in the back seat, watching the world whiz by. Barking at other mutts and checking out the sights, sounds and smells in new areas.
Today had all of that, and more. Fish and chips in the park. Many finds and not a single dnf for us.
We started at "Letters to Dad", continued on through this series and finished our day at "Letters to Mum".

An interesting puzzle series that I enjoyed solving. I got started on looking for them pretty late this evening, and ended up looking for most of them in the dark. As a result there were a few that I didn't find that are most likely there. Cheers and TFTC
Gps was spot on again and it wasn't long before the cache was spotted. Log signed and back safe again.
Had a pretty good look but couldn't spot it today. Will take another look next time I'm in the area
With Zedaycee out for some caching but no joy today we will be back. spot is very over grown
The first of this series that we tried finding, and the first is always the hardest not knowing what type of find the CO prefers.
After 15 minutes, we were starting to think that it would be a DNF, but from a different angle it was soon spotted.
Thanks for an interesting puzzle cache Lisette.

Over the summer weeks I have been utilising the extra daylight to do a weekly morning caching run down the peninsula before heading to work. As we push on into autumn (and before the hour changes) I notice the sunrise getting gradually later and my daylight opportunity lessening. This was my third find of nine caches this morning that I was able to grab on a well planned route. I had found most of this series ages ago (December 2015) and solved the puzzles before that. This one took me a while despite the clear hint but eventually I spotted it. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and for this series Lisette.

Today I woke up knowing that i had to head in to Hastings to go and do some shopping so I decided to pick up a handful of caches after I had finished all the chores I had to do. Since this cache was nearby and I managed to still have some time up my sleeve after finding the nearby letterboxes I knew I could quick get another couple finds. Anyways this cache was a relatively quick find with little to no trouble in finding the cache, thanks for the cache I really appreciate all the work that all the cache owners do to go out and put out the caches.
Great little spot along the trail. Just all a tad overgrown. Spotted the cache after finally remembering to check the clue. TFTC

Jack has spoken. I have had these on the Astro radar for a while. Great to explore and also catch with AstroThomas who is working in the waters near by. met some interesting people and tasted some good local food and sipped some local beers as I explored over a few days here.

The long-planned birthday cache run finally arrived! Having discovered that Omegaman1971 and I were born only two days apart, we agreed to go caching to celebrate our almost-joint birthday. Omegaman invited a few geocaching friends along, and we soon had a couple of cars full. After birthday cake and presents in Hastings, we piled into cars and started out on the Jack Speak series. We had planned this trip months earlier, and had long since solved the puzzles. We picked up a few other caches along the way to add to our collection of smiley birthday faces In the end, I did find my 1000th cache; it was nice to do it with such a great group of geocaching friends!
Thank you to everyone who placed and maintains caches in the region. I look forward to completing more of them when I move down to the Peninsula next year...

Okay...we have finally got to the Jack Speak series with 6 cache teams. We all worked on the series prior to arrival and moved though them progressively, making quick finds in most cases, although there were a couple of tricky ones. Also learn a lot about naval expressions. In most cases, this will be a generic post. Thanks -Lisette-. Great work.
Out with the Birthday Team (Morcs4, QueenK8, Promontory, Omegaman1971 and Happypants) to celebrate two birthdays. Thanks for the cache.
Managed a quick find with this one as we continued our way along the series this afternoon, thanks again -Lisette- for the cache. Found with quite a few other cachers today and we signed the log as The Birthday Team to save log space.

A pleasant Easter Saturday drive to collect some more of the Jack Speak series. My husband is doing the driving while I jump in and out of the car.
It was hard to look inconspicious here while waiting for muggles to pass. One passing cyclist gave me a big smile and I wonder if he knew what I was looking for or if he has seen people loitering here before. After he passed I made a quick find andwas on my way again.

After picking up our new beast in Melbourne (Landcruiser) we headed over to Hastings in the company of DAB to conquer the "Jack Speak" series on this lovely sunny day. With perfect conditions for caching we started up one end and worked our way down to the last puzzle, collecting the clues as we went, enjoying the views from some of the vantage points. The new 4x4 didn't miss a beat , coping with the stop starting as we worked our way through the series making for a fun day. We unfortunately did not get all the clues for the final, but there will be another trip on another day where we can finalise this Naval slang series giving us an excuse to come back to this lovely area.

Another combined effort for a caching trip, today it was The_Tritonz and myself. Our plan was to grab the " Jack Speak " series of caches. It was very interesting learning all of these Jack Speak terms. Thankfully the puzzles weren't too hard either, they were all a pleasure to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, collecting the caches. There were plenty of laughs, mainly at Chris's expense. We were spoilt with the scenery and the gorgeous weather. Unfortunately we didn't find all of the clues and we missed out on the final. We will return for the missing clues and claim the final !! Thanks for filling in our day. TFTC -Lisette-
Found with GeoRo11, GeoJulz, surefoot24 and BenJess11. Great spot to have a rest. Lovely to walk through the walls of trees and scrub here. TFTC
The second and last of these found today before a speedy departure was required. This one took a tiny bit longer than might have been expected given its location. I may need spectacles. Thanks -Lisette-!
