We found the cache after a bit of a search, it blended in well. We were a little distracted by a baby bird on the ground which Mr S was able to pick up. It must have been learning to fly as we could hear it's parents in the trees above. We weren't sure what to do, but left it and when we looked later it had gone. Very beautiful though. TFTC
Another DNF for me here. Got scratches, but no find . We needed to press on to event in Flinders.
2nd time here. 20 mins first time, no luck20 mins second time and about to give up, an there it was. Well camouflaged. Slowly completing the seriesTFTC
Not a great start to the morning 2nd DNF ...the gardening gloves went on while I searched between the trees and the two scrubs near the creek..I couldn't see anything cache wise..was reluctant to trample too much around scrubs..

Thanks for the series. Solved on our way down, and picked up on the way home.
We were heading over to Phillip Island to ensure we were there for the start of the Great Victoria Cache Crawl. We caught the ferry from Queenscliff and had laid ourselves a cache trail to follow around to Phillip Island.
The weather was great for caching as the sun was out and the wind was merely a gentle breeze.
We have had the Jack Speak series solved for quite some time and today we had the time to find quite a few of them. We suspect they were designed to be found heading in the Southward direction, but we were able to find a safe park for all of them as we headed roughly Northward.
We found the cache safe and sound, Thank you -Lisette- for this cache and to pimpmyballoons for adopting and maintaining this series.

Find # 10869
Found with sharkiefan.
The task for today was to tackle the Jack Speak series and a few around the area.
Despite the morning drizzle we still managed to make the Jack Speak finds along the road. Even with a DNF we still managed to work out the final.
Then when the rain passed and the sun was out we done more exploring and finding quite a few "Welcome to..." cache at each town we passed coming back up.
Throwen in was a couple other puzzles we had solved.
A fun day had over on the Mornington Peninsula with a total of 45 smileys for the trip.

Jack Speak Day.
We had planned this trip a while ago and had the puzzles solved even longer ago.
Depsite the wet weather and gloomy looking day, we decided to head out and have a crack, prepared to give it up if it became too miserable.
Pleasantly we ended up with some beautiful if not windy weather and had a great time out this end of the state.

It's the 12th of the month and time to go caching... Why? Because I have (foolishly) taken on **400 Challenge....with a twist** which requires you to find 400 caches on your choice of a particular day of the month... and the 12th is my choice as that day had a big head start over all the others. My plan for the day was to finish the **Jack Speak** series and so here I was on the Mornington Peninsula.
After three successful stops along the way for other caches I had finally started with my targets for the day... the first half of the **Jack Speak** series. I was starting to get into the swing of things now with this cache my fourth in the series for the day... a nice easy find.
Thanks **pimpmyballoons** for keeping this cache and the whole **Jack Speak** series going.

Nice one, camo quite effective so it was the attachment that I spotted first. TFTC and the series!
We solved these puzzles some time ago and finally managed to find time to come down to this area to find the caches. Apologies for some generic logs. This cache took some time to find. There seemed to be a number of spots that matched the hint and the search was a little awkward at times. But all good in the end. Thanks to -Lisette-/pimpmyballoons for the cache.
No luck here. Six months presumably since being found doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not there. Area is surrounded by bushes so the hint is not all that practical.
Finally out of lockdown and busting for some caching, oshfam and I teamed up to collect this series. We had solved the puzzles a while back but not had the opportunity to get out to get them. Nice sunny day, still a bite of cold in the air we set off on our adventure. Cache found, log signed. Thanks for the cache.
After Lockdown 5.0, much needed caching was needed and what better way to do it by going out with my caching buddy Jetsons23. We had solved the Jack Speak series a year ago and it has taken us this long to finally find the time to go out and collect them. With the kids at school, we set off for our adventure. The sun even came out for us.
Well this one took a bit of hunting. After searching in all the wrong areas, we regrouped and searched in an area that we had missed and low and behold the cache was found.
The cache and log is in good condition.
Thank you for the cache and series Lisette and pimpmyballoons for adopting it to keep it going

Jack Speak - Nelsons Blood was transferred from -Lisette- to user pimpmyballoons
After visiting a friend nearby I decided to grab some caches including the jack speak trail which I had solved long ago.
I thought this one might be challenging given the previous dnf but has been the quickest find so far.
Thanks -Lisette- for the cache.

Why am I surprised? Accurate co-ords help! Not sure all this naval lingo will help me in the mountains, but this series was a confidence booster to puzzle solving capacity which is close to very average. Really enjoyed the research and the big ticks. Nice day out before the BIG winter LOW looms in on us. TFTC
Hoping I’m in the right spot but soooo many bushes so the hint didn’t help. Looked for ages
Another Mornington Peninsula caching run today to pick up the first half of the Jack Speak series and then a few other odd caches here and there towards the end.
I'd solved the puzzles about a month ago, finally taking a closer look and realising they weren't as scary as they seemed, progressing through the series in spare time over about two days - nice and relaxing puzzles to solve that I enjoyed sitting and working out.
Overcast weather today with the occasional drizzle and lots of adventuring resulted in me becoming rather damp, streaked with mud and bitten by mozzies by our return home!
Thanks to -Lisette- for placing this series and maintaining it through the years.
I was worried I'd have to cross a deep and slippery ditch to find some bushes on the other side, but, due to a previous log, I reassessed my search criteria and found the cache hiding there instead (fortunately on my side of the trench!)
Signed the log and returned, all seems to be in good condition.
Thanks for placing this cache.

Finally I worked this out. Embarrassingly I looked at this puzzle all wrong and was way overthinking it. A quick nudge showed me how simply this actually was and how I’ve spent way to long over thinking this.
Once I saw it, I was on my way to the right spot and had cache in hand.
Thanks Lisette, for the cache and series. Looking forward to finishing the whole lot!

Getting close to finishing the series now .. found this one after a bit of a search. Thanks Lisette for placing the cache
Out today tonight to do a few caches in the hope of finishing the museum event. Unfortunately the rain and a few dnf’s made this a lot harder than it should have been. Thankfully as time went on the traffic became lighter and hunting became easier. Thanks for the series.

Out with my geo son today doing our first geo trail together. We had finished interesting puzzles learning about all the navel terms a while ago and was just waiting for a full day to pick them up. Great day starting with the sun just rising and finishing off as it was setting, Discovering this area was an added bonus. Picked up this along the way. This one took a lot longer than it should It was right there in front of us. Thanks for the series Lisette we really enjoyed our bison day.
Out Caching with XAMBO4U for a Mother Son adventure day. Time to knock out this series!
#15957. Heading to Portsea for a few days but detouring down the left side of the Peninsula so I can gather up the Jack Speak Series that I have wanted to do for so long. Also picked up a couple of "Welcome To" caches along the way. Two DNFs and a lot of caches without clues did not help me to get the final - which will have to wait for another visit, maybe!
Some of these are certainly hard to spot.
Thanks -Lisette-

It was leafotwind's idea to see if we could knock off the Jack Speak series (which he'd done the virtual hard yards on), and maybe turn the outing into a 50+ day. I provided the vehicle as he's, er, between cars at the moment, and despite the weather not quite cooperating, we achieved our goal, and some.
Only one DNF, which is pretty darn good considering my usual blindness to one particular kind of hide which happened to predominate this afternoon.
-Lisette-, thanks for a fun trail of caches.

I had solved the series some time ago and had always intended to try and combine it with a couple of the shorter series' put out by other cachers to achieve a tally of 50 for the day. I thought some company might be in order both to add to the fun as well as provide a separate set of eyes. Nirgalagrin answered the call and a good thing too! He dialled in a little earlier than I and a number of those bisons might have taken a lot longer without him!
We did end up hitting 50 for the day and amongst those found the only 5/1 trad in the whole of Victoria by happenstance!
Thanks to all the COs who placed these caches for everyone to enjoy and indeed in the case of the Jack Speak series have maintained them for all these years.

I was staying in Balnarring this time last year and discovered this series. Here again this year and am on a mission to try and finish it. This had me totally lost and i checked some logs which told me i was actually looking for a dead little bush. Once i had this clue it was a quick find. Tftc
Crustyvarmint and I decided to attempt this series after completing the puzzles but after doing about 10 of them we thought it might be advisable to go back to the ones we had already completed to check for clues. Oh well a newbie mistake I know but I was having a bad day.
Saying that most of these caches were reasonably easy to find (some more difficult) but well set up puzzles, a joy to complete and informative. Great series. TFTC.

I went out today with Bunadoorian. We had each solved the puzzles to locate GZ, then shared the hunt. It was an enjoyable trip and we gathered the information for the final, but somehow it didn't work. More time required to complete the task. Thanks very much for the series Lisette. Please accept the generic response for our finds today.
Found this one after some searching. My GZ coords were about 5 metres off but used one of the logs and eventually found what l was searching for. Log was signed and replaced, all in good order. TFT series -Lisette- very enjoyable.
Needed a find today to fill a spot on the 366 grid. Seems this series is always good for it haha. It’s some one a few caches relatively close to home that we haven’t found.
Thanks for the hide
Thanks for the hide
After the hectic festive season, I needed a day to escape from my busy life and do this series with beckNmonts. I really enjoyed exploring this area. -Lisette- Thanks you so much for the fun series.
Pwala and I decided it was about time we found these caches. We had solved the puzzles about a month ago, but today was the day we were both finally free. I was skipper for the day and Pwala the main finder. We managed to only have one DNF for the series, and had a great afternoon! Thanks so much for placing this series -Lisette-
Yey,
Found within a minute of getting out of the car!
Thought after 3 DNFs we wouldn't have a chance.
So really pleased with ourselves.
BTW the little bush is a little DEAD!

Thanks to -Lisette- for placing this cache
We started looking for this and had no luck. There were branches fallen down around the area , probably from a recent storm. It was hard to find places that fitted the hint. I will try again when I'm over that way again.
I stopped for this one and it took me a while to realize that it was a little strange this cache was on the opposite side of the road than all the others before I finally thought "maybe I should double check my answers...." and yeah soon fixed my mistake and crossed the road to the correct location where after a quick search was able to find it! Lol note to self: always check your answers!
After spending yesterday doing domestic chores around home, we sat and worked together to solve this series after dinner.
With +Wife doing the first part and me finishing each one off, it only took until 2am!
This afternoon we drove down here with our GeoMutts, EveTheStaffy and MaxTheCollie.
We picked up two letterboxes and a total of twenty in this series.
We also found a great fish and chip shop.
Thanks for the series -Lisette-
We will return to complete the course.

It was a lovely afternoon for a drive. The Geomutts are always impressed when their day includes sitting in the back seat, watching the world whiz by. Barking at other mutts and checking out the sights, sounds and smells in new areas.
Today had all of that, and more. Fish and chips in the park. Many finds and not a single dnf for us.
We started at "Letters to Dad", continued on through this series and finished our day at "Letters to Mum".
Thank you for placing this cache for us and others to solve and find -Lisette-

Was starting to think that this might become another nemesis cache. Same as previous visit, I was focused on the main item at this GZ, even though that hasn't been the CO's style. GPS was no help as no matter where I stood it was telling me that the cache was 8 meters away. Eventually the cache was found tucked away in a spot I'm sure I had checked a dozen times, both today and last time I was here with the girls.
Interesting how many cars slow down just incase my car was an unmarked speed camera. Always a little bit of a laugh watching that happen.
Thanks for the cache Lisette

Geo daughter solved a bunch of these about 2 years ago. I lost the numbers but managed to get them again. Today plan to find a few. . Tftc
An interesting puzzle series that I enjoyed solving. I got started on looking for them pretty late this evening, and ended up looking for most of them in the dark. As a result there were a few that I didn't find that are most likely there. Cheers and TFTC
This one took a little longer until geowife made the discovery. Log signed and back safe again.
Solved the puzzles for this series in the week and thought I better get out there and put the smiley faces on the map. Went off on a tangent initially trying to solve these but the co soon recalibrate my head. Hopefully these will put me in good stead to get me to my 4000 find this Easter break. Thanks for the fun, TFTC
This took me a little longer than the previous finds, and I feared the recent works (?) may have taken care of it, but after a while the cache was found. TFTC
Spent about 15 minutes looking for this one and the girls and I couldn't find it.
Will have to come back another time for this one.
Thanks anyone Lisette

Over the summer weeks I have been utilising the extra daylight to do a weekly morning caching run down the peninsula before heading to work. As we push on into autumn (and before the hour changes) I notice the sunrise getting gradually later and my daylight opportunity lessening. This was my fifth find of nine caches this morning that I was able to grab on a well planned route. I had found most of this series ages ago (December 2015) and solved the puzzles before that. This one took a bit of effort but I managed to grab it in the the end. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for this cache and for the series Lisette.

After a stream of bad luck yesterday, I decided that today would be the day that I reach my 600th find. After packing up from my mothers and heading back home to Rosebud I made sure to go out and grab a couple of caches along the way to push me over. After finding the previous cache this was only a short walk to this cache, anyways this one took a little bit longer to find but after looking around a bit more the cache was quickly in hand and signed before returned. Anyways thanks for the cache and the enjoyable walk.

This was a quick find....at least after waiting for a confused and slightly suspicious muggle to pass. We kept leapfrogging her until she changed diretion. It was rather funny. TFTC
That camouflaged very nicely. TFTC. There's a walker who's getting a bit confused as to why I keep driving ahead of her and then awkwardly stand at the car as she walks past
Jack has spoken. I have had these on the Astro radar for a while. Great to explore and also catch with AstroThomas who is working in the waters near by. met some interesting people and tasted some good local food and sipped some local beers as I explored over a few days here.

The long-planned birthday cache run finally arrived! Having discovered that Omegaman1971 and I were born only two days apart, we agreed to go caching to celebrate our almost-joint birthday. Omegaman invited a few geocaching friends along, and we soon had a couple of cars full. After birthday cake and presents in Hastings, we piled into cars and started out on the Jack Speak series. We had planned this trip months earlier, and had long since solved the puzzles. We picked up a few other caches along the way to add to our collection of smiley birthday faces In the end, I did find my 1000th cache; it was nice to do it with such a great group of geocaching friends!
Thank you to everyone who placed and maintains caches in the region. I look forward to completing more of them when I move down to the Peninsula next year...

Okay...we have finally got to the Jack Speak series with 6 cache teams. We all worked on the series prior to arrival and moved though them progressively, making quick finds in most cases, although there were a couple of tricky ones. Also learn a lot about naval expressions. In most cases, this will be a generic post. Thanks -Lisette-. Great work. I like a bit of Nelsons Blood myself
Out with the Birthday Team (Morcs4, QueenK8, Promontory, Omegaman1971 and Happypants) to celebrate two birthdays. Thanks for the cache.
Found with omegaman, Promontory, Morcs4, (_o), QueenK8 this afternoon after a birthday bash in Hastings and we planned to tackle this series to celebrate the day, so far, so good with locating the caches. This one was soon located after a short search and logged, thanks -Lisette- for the cache.
Found along side happy pants omegaman (._o) queen k8 signed under the birthday team.
Great day so far not as cold as I thought it would be. Thanks

Was very nearby, so knocked off a couple more of these while in the area. Found myself looking at the wrong *ohfu* for a while before directing my attention back to the coordinates. Turns out the coordinates are a pretty good guide in this past-time. Who knew? Thanks -Lisette-!
Today gwd.aussie and I targeted this series of caches and enjoyed exploring the area. It was well into the afternoon when we started but in most cases we had the cache quickly to hand.

After picking up our new beast in Melbourne (Landcruiser) we headed over to Hastings in the company of DAB to conquer the "Jack Speak" series on this lovely sunny day. With perfect conditions for caching we started up one end and worked our way down to the last puzzle, collecting the clues as we went, enjoying the views from some of the vantage points. The new 4x4 didn't miss a beat , coping with the stop starting as we worked our way through the series making for a fun day. We unfortunately did not get all the clues for the final, but there will be another trip on another day where we can finalise this Naval slang series giving us an excuse to come back to this lovely area.

Another combined effort for a caching trip, today it was The_Tritonz and myself. Our plan was to grab the " Jack Speak " series of caches. It was very interesting learning all of these Jack Speak terms. Thankfully the puzzles weren't too hard either, they were all a pleasure to do. We thoroughly enjoyed our day, collecting the caches. There were plenty of laughs, mainly at Chris's expense. We were spoilt with the scenery and the gorgeous weather. Unfortunately we didn't find all of the clues and we missed out on the final. We will return for the missing clues and claim the final !! Thanks for filling in our day. TFTC -Lisette-

Thanks for the cache -Lisette-,

Down from Canberra for a MEGA geo-getaway geomission
Today's mission was to head down the Peninsula to target the Jack Speak series and to make a start on the caches along the sparkling coastline!
I solved the easy puzzles prior to the trip and I had a great day collecting the caches. All were easily found except for a couple that required a little bit more time to find
Thanks for setting up this enjoyable series, -Lisette-

Well, our plan when left camp this morning was to follow this road and pick up all the Jack speak caches, which i had solved at home the week before. Things started going fairly well with only one DNF in the section we managed to do. All of the caches we found in the series today were in good order and found with little fuss.
Things went pair shaped though somewhere along the way when i noticed i had made a slight error on one of the caches so pulled over to redo my maths. While sitting there we suddenly heard a big bang and looked up to see the back window on the new ute missing, smashed by a rock from a passing car. So that was the end of our day. Hopefully we can return and do the rest before heading home to Albury next week.

One of over 100 caches found on a big day's caching on the Mornington Peninsula with some great friends.
There were many styles of hides and some of the containers were very cool indeed.
Thanks to all the CO's or placing them for others to find.
The caches found with Jabs and Budgietas were signed as JCB.

First or all sorry for the long log. Code 1, Budgietas and myself decided to do a caching trip / run and the Mornington area looked like a great place to start. So planes were hatched and we got together. This was the first cache of over a hundred we did in the 12 hour period of caching we had.
A well rounded style, type, size, shade and hides kept us guessing at every corner. So thanks for the cache and a reason to get out and about with a few mates for a day of endless adventure and fun.
Most of the caches we did were signed with JCB. J-Jabs C-Code1 and B-Budgietas.

Found this one with the help of the clue (but not before walking too far and getting wet feet ! )
Thanks for the cache, Lisette !

Starting to get the rhythm of this series. Only problem is the number of cars speeding by on a sunny afternoon. TFTC
